Abstract

Factor analysis at item test conceptual understanding of numerical method aims to find out whether the conceptual understanding indicators used can confirm a construct and ensure that the test is complied with the indicator. Data analysis is done using confirmatory factor analysis.  Based on data analysis, one factor is formed with Eigen value 2.352 and variation is 58.8%. This result shows that the indicators of conceptual understanding ability are valid, and the test prepared in accordance with the indicators of conceptual understanding ability.

Abstract

Learning mathematics online is a challenge for teachers considering that mathematics has abstract characteristics. Therefore, online learning needs to be designed to be effective. This study aims to evaluate online learning in the Mathematics Education Study Program using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Sampling was carried out using random sampling techniques in each batch of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, PGRI Mahadewa University, Indonesia. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was found that online lectures had gone according to student expectations. This is shown from the results of the IPA, namely that most of the indicators are in Quadrant I with the label "Keep Up the Good Work".

Abstract

Learning media is one of the most important learning tools in helping a teacher in delivering material, especially abstract material such as mathematics.Making learning media needs to follow technological advances, to obtain innovative learning media. One of the IT-based mathematics learning media is GeoGebra. Therefore, as a form of lecturer concern in helping teachers develop their abilities and skills in utilizing IT-based media, community service activities are carried out in the form of GeoGebra training as an innovative learning media. Training activities carried out at SMP N 4 Sukawati was in the form of introduction and training as well as GeoGebra assistance. Based on the training activities that have been carried out, it can be seen that the teacher shows an enthusiastic attitude and is willing to learn using GeoGebra software. Teachers quickly receive training materials and can operate or design the media, so the training provides positive feedback. Therefore, this training activity is expected to become an ongoing activity to improve the ability of teachers, especially in designing an IT-based learning media. As well as spreading the willingness of teachers to train skills in developing IT-based media to other schools.

Abstract

AbstrakBuku ajar metode numerik haruslah memuat gambaran lengkap materi dan lebih menekankan pada implementasi metode, sehingga dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif dan interaktif. Penerapan pembelajaran kolaboratif yang diintegrasikan melalui buku ajar metode numerik akan menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang mendorong mahasiswa untuk saling berinteraksi, bekerjasama, berbagi peran, tugas, dan tanggung jawab dalam menyelesaikan tugas atau masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan buku ajar metode numerik berbasis pembelajaran kolaboratif yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga fase, yakni fase penelitian awal, fase membuat prototipe, dan fase penilaian dimana pada fase ini dilakukan uji validitas berdasarkan lembar validasi, kepraktisan berdasarkan angket respon dan keefektifan berdasarkan lembar observasi dan tes. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Bali. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah buku yang dikembangkan layak digunakan, kepraktisan tergolong baik dan buku ajar metode numerik efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan.Kata Kunci: Buku Ajar, Pembelajaran Kolaboratif, Penelitian Pengembangan  Development of Numerical Methods Textbook Based on Collaborative LearningAbstractNumerical method textbooks must contain a complete description of the material and put more emphasis on the implementation of the method, to create active and interactive learning. The application of collaborative learning that is integrated through numerical methods textbooks will create a learning atmosphere that encourages students to interact, collaborate, share roles, assignments, and responsibilities in solving assignments or problems. The purpose of this research is to develop a valid, practical, and effective numerical method textbook based on collaborative learning. This research is research on the development of the Plomp Model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the prototyping phase, and the assessment phase wherein this phase the validity test is carried out based on the validation sheet, the practicality is based on the response questionnaire and the effectiveness is based on the observation sheet and the test. The research subjects were students of the mathematics education study program at the IKIP PGRI Bali. The results obtained are that the book developed is suitable for use, the practicality is good and the numerical method textbook is effectively used in lectures.Keywords: Collaborative Learning, Development Research, Textbook.

Abstract

Video pembelajaran merupakan suatu media audio visual yang berisi materi-materi pembelajaran yang berperan sebagai pengantar informasi dari pengajar kepada peserta didik. Banyak guru yang memiliki keinginan untuk dapat mengembangkan video pembelajarannya sendiri, tetapi masih mengalami kendala untuk memulai dari mana dan menggunakan apa agar tidak terlalu rumit dalam pembuatannya. Hal itu pula yang dialami oleh guru SD N 1 Celuk. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk dapat membantu guru SD N 1 Celuk mengembangkan suatu video pembelajaran yang menarik dan sederhana dalam proses pembuatannya dengan mengoptimalkan fitur-fitur yang terdapat pada Microsoft Power Point dan Bandicam. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanan, dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap persiapan dilakukan observasi dan menyusun modul pelatihan, tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan pelatihan langsung dan konsultasi secara online, Tahap evaluasi dilakukan observasi kembali tentang kemampuan guru menggunakan software yang ditawarkan dan melihat kesulitan yang dialami guru. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, semua guru bisa membuat video pembelajaran, walopun dengan powerpoint yang sederhana. Guru juga puas dengan apa yang dihasilkan, karena pada video, guru dapat berbicara langsung menjelaskan materi yang guru tulis di powerpoint sekaligus menampilkan wajah mereka di sudut video sehingga seakan siswa akan bertatap muka langsug dengan guru. Sebelumnya guru enggan membuat video pembelajaran, tapi dengan pelatihan menggunakan Microsoft Power Point berbantuan Bandicam, video pembelajaran dapat dengan mudah dibuat oleh guru khususnya guru di SD N 1 Celuk

Abstract

Gender dan gaya belajar memiliki peran dalam belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adakah perbedaan kemampuan pembuktian matematika berdasarkan gender dan gaya belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparatif dengan rancangan faktorial yang dilaksanakan di salah satu perguruan tinggi di Bali dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa semester VII sebanyak dua kelas yang terdiri dari 33 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data gender dan gaya belajar menggunakan angket, sedangkan data kemampuan pembuktian menggunakan tes pembuktian dalam mata kuliah analisis riil. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan ANAVA dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pembuktian di antara mahasiswa perempuan dan laki-laki serta perempuan memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik. Sedangkan berdasarkan gaya belajar, secara umum menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pembuktian di antara gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Uji lanjut menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan terjadi antara gaya belajar visual dan kinestetik. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan tidak terjadi interaksi antara gender dan gaya belajar dalam mempengaruhi kemampuan pembuktian matematika mahasiswa.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and learning models can affect learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the comparison of student learning outcomes with high and low critical thinking skills that adjust the application of problem-solving or conventional. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 8, and the research sample used a percentage of 27% below and above from the research population. The research instrument was a test of critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed using 2-way Anova analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a comparison of the average learning outcomes between students who use problem-solving education models with conventional (mean 75.91 and 50.68), (2) there is an interaction between learning models and critical thinking skills on mathematics learning outcomes (Sig. 0.031 with = 0.05), (3) to students with high critical thinking skills, there is a comparison of learning outcomes between students who use problem-solving models with conventional (Qcount 7.80 with = 0.05), ( 4) for students with low critical thinking skills, there is a comparison of learning outcomes between students who use problem-solving education models and conventional ones (Qcount 3.16 with = 0.05).

Abstract

The study, titled "Application of Partial Credit Model (PCM) in Evaluating the Essay Test" aims to find out how the Partial Credit Model (PCM) is applied in evaluating tests. This research is an explorative descriptive research and data analysis is done using PCM with the help of Parscale software. Research data obtained from the results of the middle tests of numerical method. The application of PCM in evaluating the essay test provided information that the variable ability of test participants significantly influenced to the probability of correct answer, ie 98.1%, the average of the difficulty level was -0.078 indicating that the numerical method test included in the difficult category, the average ability of the test participants was -0.008 indicating that the average ability of the participants in answering the numerical methods test was in the medium category, and based on the information function and the Standard Error of Measurement (SEM) it was found that the numerical method test developed was suitable for students with the ability to medium category.

Abstract

Understanding of students as one of the teacher competencies can help determine learning strategies, as well as help determine attitudes in treating students. Each student has different characteristics and developments. Characteristics of students in elementary school (ages 6-12 years) are included in the stages of intellectual development. The stage of children's intellectual development begins when the child is able to think or reach a logical connection between impressions and make decisions about what he is connecting logically. An adequate understanding of the characteristics of elementary school students will support the success of the mathematics learning process. This article is a literature review that reviews mathematics learning strategies according to the characteristics of elementary school students.
