Abstract

This research aimed at testing the presence of influence of organizational climate and ethic implementation on the organizational learning behavior of employees of Patra Semarang Convention Hotel and at testing the presence of influence of organizational climate and ethic implementation on employees’ performance, both directly and indirectly through organizational learning behavior. The sample consisted of 157 employees of Patra Semarang Convention Hotel. The method used in this research was survey with questionnaire. The hypotheses were tested using multiple regression and path analysis.The research result found that there was an influence of organizational climate and ethic implementation on employees’ performance, both directly and indirectly through organizational learning behavior of employees of Patra Semarang Convention Hotel. It showed that employees’ performance improved due to the presence of employees’ learning behavior and having implemented the organizational climate and ethic well. Abstract

Learning environment and teachers’ professional competence are factors which can affect students’ achievement. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement either partially or simultaneously. The populations were 133 students and the samples were 100 students. Then, data were collected by questionnaires and documentation. The calculation of multiple regression resulted the equation of Y = 60.866 + 0.114 X1 + 0.048 X2. The coefficient of determination simultaneously; learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement was 53.3%, the coefficient of determination partially; learning environment toward students’ achievement was 26.3%, and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement was 16.9%. It was concluded that there was significant influence of learning environment toward students’ achievement, there was no significant influence of the teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement, and there was significant influence of learning environment and teachers’ professional competence toward students’ achievement.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to improve the material mastery by using roleplay learning model which was indicated by at least 75% students got 75 for theirlearning achievement and all students were actively involved in the learning process. Itwas a classroom action research. The subject of the research was students at class XOffice Administration at SMK Negeri 2 Temanggung in the academic year of2013/2014. The study was consisted of two cycles which each cycle consisted ofplanning, implementation, action, and reflection. The data were collected by test andobservation sheets for students and teachers. The results of the study showed that: (1)Role play model can improve students’ learning achievement on the basic competenceof applying the principles of excellent service with the average of students’ learningachievement on the 1st cycle was 74.5, and rose up to 81.62 on the 2nd cycle, and theclassical completeness was 72.5% on the 1st cycle and increased up to 95% on the2nd cycle, (2) the students’ attitude toward learning was 63.10% on the 1st cycle andincreased up to 84.4% on the 2nd cycle.

Abstract

Office layout is a method to formulate spatial, tools, layout, and their physical environment that aims to provide a means for teachers and internal communications are an important means to unify the direction and the views and thoughts among teachers and between teachers with the Head of School, so create cohesion in the work. This research aims: 1) to determine whether there is any spatial effect on the effectiveness of teachers work; 2) to determine whether there is an internal communication influence the effectiveness of teachers work; 3) to know how big influence of spatial planning and internal communication on the effectiveness of working collectively same. The population that became the subject of this study was the teacher of SMK Negeri 9 Semarang all 44 people who made the research sample because this study represents a population study. In this study, the independent variables are spatial and internal communications, while the dependent variable is the employment effectiveness of teachers. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire technique, documentation and observation. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis percentages, multiple regression analysis, simultaneous test, partial test, coefficient of determination and classical assumption. Based on the results of regression analysis obtained F value of 13.357 with a probability of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is significant influence between spatial planning and internal communication on the effectiveness of teacher working SMK Negeri 9 Semarang. The amount of influence between spatial planning and internal communication on the effectiveness of teacher working SMK Negeri 9 for 39.5% of Semarang. Based on this research, the authors suggest that: in drafting desk should be more loose and in placing the furniture and other equipment should be to take advantage of the space available, so the staff room and classrooms and teachers more impressed with a neat move freely when doing academic activities; head schools should pay more attention to another teacher performance by giving instructions clearly did not even hesitate to reprimand if proven negligent in completing the job, as an effort to improve the quality of education, school principals should be willing to open ourselves to receive all complaints, ideas, or ideas from teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan dengan melakukan analisis pengaruh tingkat reaksi, tingkat pembelajaran dan tingkat perubahan perilaku pasca pelatihan terhadap tingkat kinerja, bagi pegawai Direktorat Jendral Bina Marga Semarang. Sampel 54 orang pegawai yang telah mengikuti pelatihan. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi berganda Hasil penelitian menemukan tiga variabel independen (tingkat reaksi, tingkat pembelajaran, tingkat perubahan perilaku) yang diduga mempengaruhi tingkat kinerja pegawai sesudah mengikuti pelatihan ternyata secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan, walaupun hanya tingkat perubahan perilaku yang signifikan. Hal tersebut  mengisyaratkan bahwa pelatihan yang selama ini diadakan mampu mengubah perilaku, sehingga tingkat kinerjanya meningkat. Untuk itu disarankan bahwa Direktorat Jenderal Bina Marga Semarang harus lebih teliti dalam memilih peserta pelatihan sehinga pelatihan yang diadakan menjadi lebih efektif. The Study is aimed to investigate training effectiveness which has been done by doing analysis of reaction level, learning level, and behaviour change after training. Samples are taken from 54 employee of Bina Marga Directorate General Semarang branch. Multiple regression is used to analyse the data. The result found three independent variables, they are: reaction level, learning level, dan behaviour change level, which are predicted affecting employee performance level after training. It shows that behaviour change is the only variable that is affected simultaniously. In addition, the training is able to change behaviour of the partisipant in order to increase performance level. This study suggests General Directorate Bina Marga Semarang has to be more prudence of choosing participant to gain more effective results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of academic qualifications, school facilities, and compensation on the teacher professional competency. The population in this study was 68 teachers in Islamic Vocational School of Al Hikmah Mayong Jepara. This study is a population research because the population is less than 100 so that the entire population is as research sample. Data collection methods used questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant influence of academic qualifications, school facilities and compensation on teacher professional competency by 72.4%, there was a positive and significant influence of academic qualifications partially on teacher professional competency by 18.15%, there was a positive and significant influence of school facilities partially on teacher professional competency by 8.29% and there is a positive and significant influence of compensation partially on teacher professional competency of 19.54%.
