Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh masalah kurangnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalammenulis. Hal itu disebabkan oleh materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif belum adapada materi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Di samping itu, rendahnya minatbaca mahasiswa juga menjadi pemicunya. Sehubungan dengan kondisi itu, dalam penelitian ini dibahas masalah pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing terhadap kemampuan menulis mahasiswa. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, dilakukan tiga kegiatan. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi prates, pemberian materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing, dan postes. Prates dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis mahasiswa sebelum diberikan materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing, sedangkan postes diberikan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa setelah diberikan materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing. Hasil prates dan postes menunjukkan bahwa pemberian materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, materi pembelajaran menulis kreatif berbasis metode quantum writing akan ditambahkan pada buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia pada Program Studi D-4 (S-1 Terapan) Manajemen Bisnis Pariwisata.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in improving the quality of service to guests staying at 5 star hotel in Seminyak, Kuta, Badung, Bali. Research methods: The method of data analysis is a descriptive qualitative, descriptive quantitative, the matrix of IFAS, EFAS, IE Matrix, and SWOT analysis (strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat). This research sample uses 27 people coming from the management and team of Front Office Department. Findings: The results of this analysis show that there are internal and external factors affecting the improvement of the quality of front office services that get from the results of the questionnaire and interviews. Implication: The advice that can be given is to maintain cleanliness in the villa area to avoid complaints and add staff to the front office to help accelerate operational activities.

Abstract

This study was conducted at the culinary department at Hilton Garden Inn Bali where in production activities often experience shortage of materials caused by the reception of stranded guest, this is due to the location of Hilton Garden Inn Bali located near with airport, resulting in a significant increase in the number of occupancy rooms followed by an increase in demand procurement of food, thereby increasing the chances of shortage of production materials in the culinary department. This study focuses on the analysis of the application of goods purchasing system for the operational activities of the culinary department to meet the needs of the production, and the effect of applying the procurement system to the food cost position. The objective of this research is to measure how big the influence of the application of procurement system of material needs to the position of food cost, in the event of stranded with large amount. In this study using quantitative descriptive analysis method and the results of this study found that the purchase system has a great influence where in the case study the procurement of production materials can meet the demand but the oprasional system applied is not running properly.

Abstract

The role of Online Travel Agent is very important in contributing to the room revenue, which is as the source of business to business. Room sales are made through online travel agent is higher than other reservation sources. The purpose of this research is intended to know the effectivity of online travel agent in order to increase rooms revenue at Ayodya Resort Bali. The data we collected by interviews, participatory observation, and documentations. Type of data were used in this research are qualitative and quantitative. In this research, there were 2 person selected as a respondent using purposive sampling method to determine the informant. The technique of analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative whis is helped by program Microsot Excel 2013. The data validity is uses triangulation of source. Based on the calculation, in terms of giving commission to online travel agents still need to be re-evaluated caused besides Booking.com, Agoda.com, and Expedia, there are 9 (nine) online travel agents such as Orbitz, Travel Hotel, Asiaroom.com, Rakuten, Asia Travel, Traveloka, Tiket.com, Hoterip, and Pegi-pegi that have not been effective yet in improving room revenue it can be seen from the GAP of revenue received that is still far away from the revenue received by Booking, com, Agoda.com and Expedia. However, in the era of globalization, the prospect of online travel agent is still very potential to be applied and developed in an effort to get maximum room revenue provit in Ayodya Resort Bali

Abstract

In order to win the competition and to keep the market segment, every hotel should establish the right marketing strategy one of which deals with promotional activities. This study analyzes the implementation of promotion mix strategy at Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali in maintaining the market. Methods of data collection in this study use non-structured interviews and documentation methods, which became the speakers are the sales and marketing, especially Cluster Sales Executive and Cluster Sales Manager at Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali. The analytical technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis that is by describing the data that has been collected and analyzed whether the theory of the promotion mix implemented according to existing theory or the company modify the promotion mix startegy. The results showed that the implementation of marketing mix strategy in maintaining the market in Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali has been applied well.

Abstract

The process of procurement of goods and food materials obtained through the process or purchase activities. Purchasing or purchasing is a process of searching the source and ordering of goods or services to assist the production function in the production or service activities (Fausi, 1995: 1004). This research is titled "Analysis of Supplier Selection for Procurement of Goods In Kitchen At Lor In New Kuta Hotel". This study aims to find out how the procurement of goods in the kitchen and how to determine the supplier in the procurement of goods in the kitchen at Lor In New Kuta Hotel. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research conducted through observation, documentation, and interviews, as well as direct observation of supplier selection by purchasing at Lor in New Kuta Hotel.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the marketing mix consisting of product strategy are, price strategy promotion strategy, place strategy, process strategy, person strategy, and physical evidence strategy for increasing the room sales at a 4-star hotel in Kuta, Badung. To answer the existing problems needed supporting statistics obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the result of the implementation of marketing mix strategies, it was obtained significantly an increase in the room sales. The marketing mix factors are; product strategy, by the product strategy hotel management able to increase the room sales in accordance with occurring the guest needed; Price strategy, it’s about strategy to establish the right prices in market segmentation; Promotion strategy, this strategy is consolidating the technical of marketing through promotion by social media, electronics promotions, and any publics publishing; Place strategy consist with classify the distribution channels. People’s strategy, this strategy advise some strategies for developing training that can improve work performance; physical evidence strategy, advise the strategy of revamping the hotel facilities and infrastructure of the hotel.

Abstract

Bladbadan sebagai salah satu jenis paribasa dalam bahasa Bali memiliki fenomena kebahasaan (linguistik) yang menarik untuk dikaji. Bladbadan memiliki bentuk, fungsi, dan makna yang bervariasi, yang diakibatkan oleh pemakaiannya yang memiliki tujuan yang berbeda pula. Akan tetapi, dalam penelitian ini hanya dideskripsikan makna bladbadan bahasa Bali. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan data primer yang langsung didapatkan dari sumber data yaitu penggunaan bahasa Bali lisan dan tulis, seperti:Drama Gong, Arja, Wayang Kulit, Buku Bahasa Bali, cerpen, dan novel berbahasa Bali. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak yang dibantu dengan teknik dasar sadap dan teknik catat sebagai teknik lanjutan. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan metode padan untuk menentukan makna bladbadan bahasa Bali.Hasil penelitian disajikan dengan metode formal dan informal. Penelitian ini berpijak pada Teori Linguistik Kebudayaan dan Teori Semiotik Sosial dengan konsep dasar bladbadan, bentuk dan makna bahasa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bladbadan mempunyai makna tersurat dan tersirat. Makna tersuratnya adalah makna kata-kata pembentuk bladbadan yang dapat dilihat dalam kamus, sedangkan makna tersirat adalah menyatakan makna: nasihat atau pendidikan, waktu, keadaan, pekerjaan yang sia-sia, dan sifat tidak baik

Abstract

Research on the Development of Creative Writing Handout Based on Quantum Writing Method on Study Program D IV Bali State Polytechnic derives from the problem of lacking of the students’ interest in writing. This is not only caused by low level of students’ interest in reading but also by the use of conventional teaching method with text book style. Therefore, the objective of first year of this two year-planned research is to explore the handout.The existing exploration result of handout show that the handout do not explicitly discuss about creative writing or good writing technique. Based on that exploration, year one of this research has produced handout on Menulis Kreatif Berbasis Metode Quantum Writing. The draft of the handout is completed with teaching manual, lesson plan, syllabus, and assessment model. The draft of this handout has been validated by content and media validator on which the result needs to be revised again. The revision will be done in the second year.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia di media sosial WhatsApp menarik dikaji, seperti: diksi (pilihan kata), morfologi (bentuk kata), pola penyingkatan kata, dan campur kode. Dalam tulisan ini kajian dibatasi pada masalah campur kode dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemunculannya. Dengan demikian, tujuan kajian ini adalah menemukan dan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis campur kode dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemunculannya dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia di media sosial WhatsApp. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif yang datanya dikumpulkan dengan metode simak yang dibantu dengan teknik dasar sadap dan teknik lanjutan catat. Data yang telah diklasifikasikan dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dasar paradigmanya metodologis induktif. Paradigma metodologis induktif adalah pola pikir yang memulai sesuatu dari yang khusus ke sesuatu yang umum. Hasil analisis data disajikan dengan metode formal dan informal. Berdasarkan asal unsur serapan, campur kode ditemukan ada dua, yaitu campur kode ke dalam dan campur kode ke luar. Campur kode ke dalam unsur serapannya ditemukan dari bahasa Bali dan Jawa, sementara campur kode ke luar unsur serapannya berasal dari bahasa Ingris dan bahasa Jepang. Ditinjau dari tingkat perangkat kebahasaan campur kode ditemukan dalam tataran kata dan frasa. Munculnya campur kode disebabkan oleh faktor situasi dan faktor penutur. Campur kode ditemukan pada situasi yang bersifat tidak resmi (informal), sedangkan dari faktor penutur ditemukan pada penutur yang berpendidikan dan berdwibahasa.
