Abstract

Abstract This research is background by spreading of corona viruses in the world. In Indonesia, this virus spread in early March 2020. This incident urged the Indonesia government to implement policies in implementing online learning methods. This decision causes learning to be dominated by networks and many students do not have electronic tools in carrying out learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of online mathematics learning on students of SMK Negeri 1 Sosorgadong. The approach of the research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the results of the questionnaire showed that the results of online mathematics learning were 35.83 (not good category) and the results of the interviews concluded that online mathematics learning was less effective.

Abstract

Abstract Learning motivation is a factor that has a lot of influence on students’ achievement. Changes in the education world in the Covid -19 pandemic are still being felt today. This situation provides opportunities for students to play in learning and causes their learning motivation to decrease. The aim of the research is to describe learning motivation of students in Sosorgadong environment. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive by using questionnaire (Guttman scale) and interview (students and parents as the informant) in collecting the data. The result of the research 1) based on the interview with the students and parents, learning motivation is less and 2) based on questionnaire shows the average of learning motivation is 60 (less category). It’s concluded learning motivation of students in Sosorgadong environment in the Covid -19 pandemic is less.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya wabah Covid-19 di dunia yang menyebabkan krisis kesehatan global. Masalah ini membuat kebijakan untuk mengubah pembelajaran offline menjadi online. Berdasarkan situasi tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar siswa SMP di Lingkungan III Kelurahan Padang Masiang Kecamatan Barus. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP di Lingkungan III Kelurahan Padang Masiang. Kuisioner dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil angket menunjukkan minat belajar siswa adalah 50% berminat cukup, 40% berminat kurang, dan 10% berminat. Lebih lanjut, hasil wawancara dengan orang tua menunjukkan minat belajar siswa kurang berminat dan wawancara dengan guru menunjukkan minat belajar cukup diminati.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe students’ readiness in learning online at seventh grade students in Simpang Tiga Laebingke, Sirandorung sub-district. The approach of the research used qualitative descriptive. Triangulation was used in checking data validity by using questionnaire (Guttman scale), observation, and interview (for students and Mathematics teacher) in collecting the data. The result of the research shows 1) based on questionnaire shows the average of students’ readiness in learning online is 65.33 (poor category), 2) based on interview shows the students have poor category students’ readiness in learning online , and 3) based on observation shows the students have poor category students’ readiness in learning online.

Abstract

The background of this research is Covid- 19 pandemic in world that caused global health crisis. This problem made a policy to change offline learning to online. Based on the situation, the researcher is interested to describe the students learning motivation of Junior High School in Lingkungan I Pasar Batu Gerigis, Barus sub-district. The approach of this research used qualitative descriptive and subject of the research is students of SMP in Lingkungan I Kelurahan Padang Masiang. Triangulation sources were used in checking data validity. Questionnaire and interview were used in collecting the data. The result of questionnaire shows 50% in poor motivation, 30% in enough motivation, and 20% in good motivation. Furthermore, the results of interview of students (1) poor motivation because students feel boring, lazy, and incomprehension of the subject, (2) enough motivation because students repeat the subject again and they like environment because they have a lot of friends, (3) good motivation because they are not boring in learning mathematics and the y always do their homework. Based on interview of teacher, She says that students have poor motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analysis students' mathematical reasoning ability during Covid -19 pandemic in terms of student interest in learning. Subject of the research is eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The approach of the research used qualitative. Instrument of the research used test, close questionnaire, and interview. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusion.The result of the research showsstudents' mathematical reasoning ability during Covid -19 pandemicis low category, 20% is high category, 20% is enough category, and 60% is low ability. The result of questionnaire concludes 60% students have low mathematical reasoning ability and low learning interest because don’t like mathematical subject, 20% students have average mathematical reasoning ability and average learning interest becausethey will like mathematical subject if mathematical teacher teach the subject in fun away, and 20% students have high mathematical reasoning ability and high learning interest because they like mathematical subjectand always challenged with math problems.

Abstract

The aims of the research is to describe online learning effectiveness on pandemic Covid-19 period in terms of mathematic problem solving ability and students’ response at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. The approach of the research used quantitative descriptive and 15 students as the subject of the research. Questionnaire and test were used in collecting the data. Analysis statistics shows a) the average of online learning on pandemic Covid-19 period is 76.33 (good category), b) the average of mathematic problem solving ability is 38.70 (poor category), and c) the average of students’ response is 62.83 9 enough category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistics by using pair sample ttest ( SPSS 22) shows the significant value is less than 0.005 ( 0.000<0.05). It’s concluded online learning effectiveness on pandemic Covid-19 period in terms of mathematic problem solving ability and students’ response at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada subtema Perkembangan teknologi produksi sandang di kelas III SD. NEGERI 101230 SABABANGUN dengan menggunakan pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan sistem siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 2 pertemuan dan menerapkan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR). Penilaian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik test soal untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik, lembar observasi pendidik, penilaian aktivitas peserta didik lembar observasi peserta didik, penilaian sikap dan aktivitas peserta didik, untuk mengetahui kegiatan pendidik dan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan presentase dari penilaian hasil belajar, sikap dan aktivitas peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas III SD. NEGERI 101230 SABABANGUN yang berjumlah 19 orang. Peningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dapat diukur dari evaluasi siklus I, dan siklus II. Dengan nilai aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 83,33% dan siklus II 95,83%. Sedangkan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dapat diukur dari setiap siklusnya, hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 55% dengan kategori “Rendah” Dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus II sebesar 77% dengan kategori “Tinggi”. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada subtema Perkembangan teknologi produksi sandang di kelas III SD. NEGERI 101230 SABABANGUN.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop teaching materials for flat shapes using a realistic mathematics education approach to teach students' mathematical problem solving skills and to determine the quality of teaching materials in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is a development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 28 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang Sidempuan. The research instrument used to measure the quality of teaching materials was in the form of expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and post-test results of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The expert validation questionnaire was used to measure the validity of the teaching materials while the student response questionnaire was used to measure the practicality of the teaching materials and the post-test results of students' mathematical solving abilities were used to measure the effectiveness of the class VIII students' teaching materials at SMP Negeri 7 Padang Sidempuan. The results of this study indicate that the quality of teaching materials is seen from the validation assessment of material experts with an average score of 75.5%, for the assessment of media experts with an average score of 78.33%, and for the assessment of linguists with an average score amounted to 90.67% with each score included in the eligible criteria. The overall results of the expert's assessment show that the teaching materials developed have "good" (decent) criteria based on the assessment by 6 experts with a percentage score of 81.5% in the "very valid" criteria. And the results of the questionnaire responses of students to teaching materials seen from the aspect of practicality with a percentage score of 92.78% in the "very practical" criteria and the post-test results of students' mathematical solving abilities seen from the aspect of effectiveness with an average score of 74.46 in the category " effective. So it can be concluded that the overall results of the study indicate that the teaching materials of flat shapes with a realistic mathematical approach to teach students' mathematical problem solving skills are valid, practical, effective and suitable to be used as learning tools. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know the description of students’ ability to understand mathematics and what the factors that affect students’ ability to understand mathematics in terms of learning difficulties during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted at the Sosorgonting Adventist Private Elementary School. The type of research used qualitative method. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, interviews, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the students' ability to understand mathematics was still low, 10 students did not complete and 3 students completed the specified KKM score. The results of the distributed questionnaires obtained showed the average is 72.31 which mean that students have learning difficulties in the high category. Students' ability to understand mathematics is influenced by several factors, namely external and internal factors. Some external factors include time constraints, family pressure, lack of support in the surrounding environment and financial problems. In addition, there are internal factors related to discipline, interests, and physical health.
