Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ransum berbasis limbah pertanian terfermentasi inokulan cairan rumen sapi bali dan rayap terhadap metabolit rumen sapi bali. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Stasiun Penelitian Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana Bukit Jimbaran, Penelitian dilaksanakanmenggunakanRancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan, yaitu ransum tanpa terfermentasi (RBo), ransum terfermentasi inokulan 20% cairan rumen dan 0,2 % rayap (RBR2T2), ransum terfermentasi inokulan 10% cairan rumen dan 0,3 % rayap (RBR1T3) dan ransum terfermentasi inokulan 20% cairan rumen dan 0,3 % rayap (RBR2T3).Variabel yang diamati meliputi pH cairan rumen,populasi protozoa,kadar N-NH3,VFA total/varsial.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemanfaataninokulan yang diproduksidarilimbah cairan rumen sapidanrayap (BR1T3, BR2T2 dan BR2T3) sebagai starter ransum berbasis limbah pertanian menurunkan populasi protozoa  rumen dan konsentrasi VFA parsial (Asetat, propionat, butirat), masing masing sebesar 63,33-83,33%; 1,44-33,30%; 31,21-47,33% dan 45,98-56,35% dibandingkan dengan pemberian RB0 (2,64-104cell/ml; 23,45mM; 6,76mM dan 0,33mM) sertameningkatkankonsentrasi N-NH3cairan rumen sapi bali sebesar 24,29-31,79% dibandingkan dengan pemberian ransum tanpa fermentasi inokulan. BerdAsarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan pemanfaatan inokulan yang diproduksi dari cairan rumen sapi bali dan rayap sebagai starter akan menurunkan populasi protozoa rumen dan konsentrasi VFA parsial serta meningkatkan konsentrasi NH3 cairan rumen sapi bali.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of noni leaf extract on the performance of male Bali ducks aged 0-8 weeks. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and five replications, each replication using two male Bali ducks with a weight of 63.6 ± 1.96 g ducks. The treatment given is; P0 (drinking water + without noni leaf extract), P1 (drinking water + 2ml noni leaf extract) and P2 (drinking water + 4ml noni leaf extract). The variables observed in this study were initial body weight, ration consumption, drinking water consumption, final body weight, weight gain and Feed Conversion Ratio. The results showed that giving 2 ml and 4 ml of noni leaf extract had no significant effect (P>0.05) on drinking water consumption, final body weight, weight gain and FCR, but had a significantly different effect (P<0.05) on ration consumption. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the administration of noni leaf extract as much as 2ml-4ml/head/day can not improve the performance of male Bali ducks. Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of eggs from coating using Ziziphus mauritiana fruit extracts stored for 28 days. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Products Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments, 3 treatments coating of Z.mauritiana fruit extract: DC (1: 1) = with coating (1 part extract: 1 part distilled water); DC (1: 2) = with coating (1 part extract: 2 parts distilled water); DC (1: 3) = with coating (1 part extract: 3 parts distilled water) and 1 treatment without coating (TC), each treatment contains 36 eggs, 144 eggs are needed for the four treatments. Every week, analysis of egg quality was carried out (each treatment and each week of observation, nine eggs were available). The results of the statistical analysis of this study showed that during 28 days of storage, the eggs of the Z. mauritiana fruit extract treatment affected changes in egg weight, yolk index, albumen index and had not affected yolk colour, HU, and egg pH, compared to the uncoated treatment. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it was concluded that the quality of eggs stored for 28 days in DC 1: 3 treatment (1 part of Z. mauritiana fruit extract with 3 parts of distilled water) had the best egg quality in terms of albumen index, yolk index and yolk colour, compared with the other three treatments. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentrate on the performance of Bali cows given field-based feed. This research was conducted at the Amerta Sari Farmers Group (KTT), Kesiut Tabanan Village with a randomized block design (RAK). Treatment A was bali cattle given grass which was given ad libitum field plus concentrate containing pollard, treatment B was given ad libitum field grass plus concentrate containing rice bran, treatment C was given ad libitum field grass. The variables observed included ration consumption, daily weight gain, final weight and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The results showed that the NURSING treatment Rations and daily weight gain were above the treatment, namely 5.35 Kg BK / head / day and 0.63 Kg / head / day. The treatment also manages the highest ration management which is calculated with the lowest FCR value of 8.71. Based on the results of this study it can be denied that providing field grass-based rations with the addition of concentrate containing rice bran gives Bali cattle better performance than other treatments. Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of marination with different concentrations using a wuluh starfruit (averrhoa bilimbi) solution on the total plate count and physical quality of Balinese beef. This study was conducted in September 2020 - October 2020 at the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions. The four treatments were: the beef was marinated using only distilled water (P0), the beef was marinated using wuluh starfruit solution with a concentration of 20% (P1), the beef was marinated using wuluh starfruit solution with a concentration of 40% (P2), and the beef was marinated using wuluh starfruit solution with a concentration of 60% (P3). The variables observed were total plate count and physical quality of beef including, pH, color, water holding capacity, cooking loss, and raw loss. The results showed that Balinese beef marinated using the wuluh starfruit solution with a concentration of 0, 20%, 40% and 60% obtained the total plate count was 6.5 x 106 cfu / g - 3.3 x 105 cfu / g; pH value was 5.06 - 3.45; colors was 2.00-1.00; DIA was 27.44% - 22.88%; cooking loss was 31.45% - 37.29%; raw loss was 12.80% - 16.82%. The best results based on the total plate count value was the P3 treatment with a solution concentration of 60%, whereas when viewed from the physical quality of the beef, the P0 treatment marinated without wuluh starfruit solution obtained the best results. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi asam-asam amino esensial pada pakan dasar jagung-pollard terhadap persentase bobot organ dalam babi bali jantan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jalan Sindureja, Banjar Batu Paras, Desa Padangsambian Kaja, Denpasar Barat selama 12 Minggu. Babi yang digunakan adalah babi bali jantan sebanyak 9 ekor dengan rata-rata berat badan awal 11,41 ± 0,91kg. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah babi bali jantan yang diberikan ransum jagung kuning 50%, pollard 49%, NaCl 0,5% dan campuran mineral 0,5% (P0), babi bali jantan yang diberikan ransum P0 + suplementasi asam-asam amino lisin 0,75%, metionin 0,20% dan triptofan 0,07% (P1), dan babi babi jantan yang diberikan ransum rekomendasi dengan ME/CP ratio = 2800 kkal/kg/16% (P2). Variabel yang diamati adalah persentase bobot jantung, bobot paru-paru, bobot hati, bobot ginjal, bobot pankreas, bobot lambung, bobot usus halus, dan bobot usus besar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlakuan (P1) nyata (P<0,05) mampu menurunkan persentase bobot jantung, paru-paru, hati, ginjal, pankreas, lambung, usus halus, dan usus besar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi asam-asam amino esensial lisin, metionin, dan triptofan dalam pakan dasar jagung-pollard mampu menurunkan persentase bobot jantung, paru-paru, hati, ginjal, pankreas, lambung, usus halus dan usus besar. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan daun bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum terhadap berat karkas broiler umur 2-6 minggu.  Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan.  Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah ayam yang diberi air minum sebagai kontrol A, ayam yang diberi air minum dengan 50 g/liter ekstrak daun kelor perlakuan B, dan ayam yang diberi air minum dengan 50g/liter ekstrak daun bawang putih perlakuan C. Pemberian pakan dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, konsumsi protein dan Lisin.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa bobot potong, berat karkas dan persentase karkas meningkat nyata (P<0,05) dengan pemberian ekstrak daun kelor dan bawang putih melalui air minum.  Selain itu, konsumsi protein dan lisin meningkat secara nyata (P<0,05). Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum dapat meningkatkan bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, konsumsi protein dan lysin ayam broiler umur 2-6 minggu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik melalui air minum terhadap karakteristik karkas itik bali betina yang diberi ransum mengandung limbah kulit kecambah kacang hijau. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Farm Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana yang berlokasi di jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa no 5 Sesetan, Kota Denpasar selama 8 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 15 unit percobaan. Masing-masing unit percobaan menggunakan 3 ekor itik bali betina dengan kisaran berat badan 46,98 ± 7,18 g. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah itik yang diberi air minum tanpa probiotik sebagai kontrol (A), itik yang diberi air minum + 2,5 ml probiotik (B), dan itik yang diberi air minum + 5 ml probiotik (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, dan komposisi fisik karkas meliputi persentase daging, persentase tulang, dan persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian probiotik melalui air minum menghasilkan berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, persentase daging, persentase tulang, dan persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa probiotik (P0). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik sampai 5 ml/ekor/hari melalui air minum memberikan pengaruh yang sama dengan tanpa diberi probiotik terhadap karakteristik karkas itik bali betina yang diberi ransum mengandung limbah kulit kecambah kacang hijau. Abstract

This study aims to find out the organoleptic quality of Balinese beef marinated using wuluh starfruit solution in different concentrations that was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University for two months, from September until October 2020. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions which was assessed by 15 semi-trained panellists. The four treatments were: The Balinese beef was soaked without wuluh starfruit solution (P0), The Balinese beef was soaked using wuluh starfruit solution at a concentration of 20% (P1), The Balinese beef was soaked using wuluh starfruit solution at a concentration of 40% (P2), The Balinese beef was soaked using wuluh starfruit solution at a concentration of 60% (P3). The variables observed were the organoleptic test which included color, odour, texture, taste, and overall acceptance. The results showed that the effect of Balinese beef marination using wuluh starfruit solution in different concentrations on organoleptic had a significant effect (P <0.05) on color, odour, taste, and overall acceptance. However, it had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on texture. The conclusion of this study was the Balinese beef marination using wuluh starfruit solution in different concentrations can affect the organoleptic quality of Balinese beef. The optimal concentration of wuluh starfruit solution to produce fine organoleptic quality Balinese beef was a concentration of 20%. It was seen from the panellists’ acceptance assessment of the color, texture, taste, and overall acceptance variables. Keywords: concentration, organoleptic test, Balinese beef, wuluh starfruit

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi asam amino lisin, metionin, triptofan pada ransum berbasis jagung-pollard terhadap dimensi tubuh babi bali jantan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 12 minggu di Jalan kresna, Banjar Batuparas, Desa Padang Sambian Kaja. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan. Perlakuan P0 (50% jangung kuning + 49% pollar + 0,5% NaCl dan + 0,5% campuran mineral), P1 (50% jangung kuning + 49% pollar + 0,5% NaCl + 0,5% campuran mineral + asam amino lisin + metionin + triptofan), P2 (Ransum rekomendasi dengan ME/CP ratio = 2800 kkal/kg/16% ) yang di ulang sebanyak 4 kali, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 1 ekor ternak, sehingga menggunakan 12 ekor babi bali jantan. Variabel yang diamati adalah dimensi tubuh babi bali jantan yaitu lingkar dada, lingkar perut, tinggi pundak, tinggi punggung, tinggi pinggul dan panjang badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan suplementasi asam amino lisin, metionin,dan triptofan pada dimensi tubuh babi bali jantan memiliki pengaruh yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05) pada variabel yang meliputi lingkar dada, panjang badan, tinggi pundak, lingkar perut, tinggi punggung, tinggi pinggul. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat di simpulkan bahwa penambahan asam amino lisin, metionin dan triptofan pada ransum berbasis jagung pollar dapat meningkatkan dimensi tubuh babi bali jantan yang meliputi lingkar dada, panjang badan, tinggi pundak, lingkar perut, tinggi punggung, dan tinggi pinggul.
