Abstract

Problem-solving skills in physics (PSSP) are essential in 21st-century life, and it is no exception for senior high school students; therefore, assessment has to be done in the senior high school. The study aimed at (1) describing students’ PSSP and (2) comparing the PSSP between female and male students. A total of 466 students were selected, 290 female and 176 male, as research participants selected by stratified random sampling from low, moderate, and high scores of the national physics examination. To measure the students’ problem-solving skill levels, the PhysTeProSS test was administered. The data were polytomous in four categories and were analyzed by the partial credit model (PCM). The results showed that the students’ level of PSSP was dominantly at the moderate type (48.28%) and the high and very high level are at 27.43 %. In other words, female students showed a higher level of PSSP than male students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Era globalisasi yang diiringi era pengetahuan dan perubahan dunia yang cepat berimplikasi pada berbagai bidang kehidupan. Menghadapi hal tersebut pendidikan di perguruan tinggi harus mampu menyiapkan generasi penerus yang memiliki kemampuan dan kebiasaan berpikir kritis, meneliti, memecahkan masalah, membuat keputusan, dan karakter yang baik. Untuk mencapai itu, perlu dikembangkan strategi pendidikan karakter yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran secara terencana dan terprogram dengan baik sehingga dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang cendekia, berkarakter, dan mampu tampil kompetitif dalam pergaulan internasional sesuai yang diharapkan. Salah satu strategi pendidikan karakter yang bisa ditempuh adalah dengan menerapkan sebuah model penilaian yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran sebagai assessment for learning (AFL) berbasis higher order thinking skills (HOTS) bagi mahasiswa. Model ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, good character yang mencakup motivasi untuk selalu belajar, jujur, mandiri, disiplin, percaya diri, tanggungjawab, dan kemampuan bernalar yang tercermin dalam HOTS mahasiswa. Abstract

Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat keefektifan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan KBK di SMK Negeri Program Keahlian Tata Busana di Kota Yogyakarta ditinjau dari pencapaian standar kompetensi siswa, khususnya terkait dengan prestasi akademik siswa berdasarkan nilai normatif, adaptif, dan produktif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian meliputi 671 siswa Program Keahlian Tata Busana SMK Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta yang telah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan KBK, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 137 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik proportional stratified random sampling menggunakan rumus Krejcie Morgan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui angket dan dokumen nilai prestasi akademik siswa, meliputi nilai normatif, adaptif, dan produktif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan komputer paket program SPSS 10 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat keefektifan pembelajaran dengan KBK ditinjau dari pencapaian standar kompetensi siswa dari nilai normatif termasuk tinggi dan telah memenuhi kriteria efektif 94,9% (70% siswa telah mencapai nilai 7,0), (2) Tingkat keefektifan pembelajaran dengan KBK ditinjau dari pencapaian standar kompetensi siswa dari nilai adaptif termasuk tinggi namun belum memenuhi kriteria efektif karena baru 66,4% ( 70% siswa yang telah mencapai nilai 7,0), dan (3) Tingkat keefektifan pembelajaran dengan KBK ditinjau dari pencapaian standar kompetensi siswa dari nilai produktif termasuk tinggi namun belum memenuhi kriteria efektif karena baru 58,4% ( 70% siswa yang telah mencapai nilai ≥7,5).

Abstract

The aim of this study is to reveals the contribution of entrepreneur education, On The Job Training experience and the utilization of unit production by respective and stimultaneously to entrepreneurship interest of SMKN Tourism Program Students in Padang city. The study used ex post facto approach and correlation method with 725 population consisted all of senior year student SMK N Padang in tourism program. This study sample was selected by using proportionate random sampling and reach 360 students. The data were collected by using questionnaire, while the instrument validity was assed by CFA method and for analize the data using descriptive and inferential statistic analize that is regression method. The result of this study shows that: (1) the contribution of entrepreneur education, On The Job Training experience and utilization of unit production variabel respectively are 2.9%, 4.7% and 6% and positively effected (2) the contribution of entrepreneur education, On The Job Training experience and utilization of unit production variabel simultaneously is 7.9% and positively affected.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the item characteristics of the mathematics problem-solving ability test instrument using the Classical Test Theory model. The data collection was based on the results of the test documentation as many as 359 students with dichotomous data. Qualitative validation analysis by experts uses the panel method, and quantitative analysis uses the Aiken index and Content Validity Ratio (CVR), while quantitative validation uses biserial point correlation. The test reliability index used the Alpha-Cronbach method. The results of qualitative validation show that all items correspond to the indicators of solving mathematical problems, but technically writing a few items needs improvement. Quantitative analysis using the Aiken index and CVR shows all items are valid with good validity. The reliability of the test is stable, with a coefficient of 0.83. Then, the test instrument consists of items with very difficult, difficult, and easy levels. All items were able to distinguish the test taker's ability and the effectiveness of the distractor to function correctly. Keywords: classical test theory, biserial point correlation, validity, reliability.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik butir soal instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika menggunakan model Classical Test Theory. Pengumpulan data berdasarkan hasil dokumentasi tes sebanyak 359 siswa dengan bentuk data dikotomus. Analisis validasi kualitatif oleh ahli dengan metode panel dan analisis kuantitatif menggunakan indeks Aiken dan Content Validity Ratio (CVR) sedangkan validasi kuantitatif menggunakan korelasi poin biserial. Indeks reliabilitas tes menggunakan metode Alpha-Cronbach. Hasil validasi kualitatif menunjukkan semua butir memiliki kesesuaian dengan indikator pemecahan masalah matematika, namun secara teknis penulisan beberapa butir soal perlu perbaikan. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan indeks Aiken dan CVR menunjukkan semua butir valid dengan validitas baik. Reliabilitas tes stabil dengan koefisien sebesar 0.83. Kemudian, instrumen tes terdiri dari butir dengan tingkat sangat sukar, sukar dan mudah. Abstract

Ujian sekolah merupakan tahap akhir seorang siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Di tahap ini, seorang siswa akan ditentukan kelulusannya dengan cara melihat salah satu nilai mata pelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik butir soal tes matematika dalam instrumen penilaian Ujian Sekolah yang dibuat oleh tim Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Analisis butir soal untuk membuktikan validitas isi, mengecek estimasi reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan, daya pembeda soal, dan untuk mengidentifikasi kategori soal yang memiliki nilai rendah, sedang dan tinggi, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan item soal-soal tersebut sulit bagi siswa. Validitas content butir instrumen penilaian Ujian Sekolah dihitung menggunakan rumus Forumula Aiken dengan melibatkan 3 orang ahli pada bidang matematika, dilanjutkan dengan validitas konstruk menggunakan analisis faktor eksploratori (exploratoty factor analysis, EFA), sedangkan untuk reliabilitas dihitung dengan rumus KR-20. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 125 orang yang diambil dari siswa SMA Negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Tasikmlaya, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui hasil jawaban siswa yang dibandingkan dengan kunci jawaban Ujian Sekolah. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Classical Test Theory (CTT) dan Item Response Theory (IRT) model Rasch. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal tes dengan kategori sulit. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa estimasi reliabilitas cukup reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis CTT dan IRT, rata-rata tingkat kesukaran dikategorikan sedang, dan rata-rata kemampuan membedakan dikategorikan baik. Dalam analisis kualitatif diperoleh satu butir soal menjadi sulit dijawab karena pemahaman konsep yang rendah, materi pembelajaran yang belum tuntas, dan kesulitan belajar selama di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the management of education and fashion training institutions is prepared to face the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. This research is a case study research by examining field conditions. The data collection method is triangulation with observation, interviews, and documentation. The data of this study were obtained from the head of the institution, instructors, and course students. Technique triangulation and source triangulation were carried out to check the validity of the data. The research was conducted at the Yogyakarta Career Busana course and training institute. The research results based on the principles of POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) include the condition of the institution's management such as the institution's program curriculum, institutional management, strategy, program implementation, and control strategies and techniques in management. The results show that a strategy is needed to increase the readiness of educational institutions and fashion training for industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0. The development strategy can be seen from several aspects of the management function, namely planning, organizing, activating, and controlling. Institutions that have good readiness for the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 have aspects of management functions that are by the development, needs, and conditions of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0.

Abstract

This study is aimed at evaluating the implementation of the English Communication Therapy (ECT) instructional program oriented to the Objective Structured Clinical Assessment (OSCA) for the students of the D-3 Nursing Study Program at STIKES Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah, Cilacap. Three research problems are put forward concerning (1) the fit of the program in terms of the variables context, input, process, and product; (2) obstacles faced by students; and (3) attainment of the ECT learning objectives.  The study is evaluation research using the qualitative and quantitative CIPP model. The research subjects are 168 students of the Nursing Study Program of STIKES Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah. Data were collected using interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings show that (1) evaluation of the four variables of context, input, process, and product shows that ECT can be stated as in the good or fit category; (2) main obstacles faced by students are lack of vocabulary and low level of self-confidence; and (3) students are able to achieve the passing grade of 74 at each station on the competency of English speaking about nursing matters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengembangkan model AFL berbasis HOTS untuk pembelajaran bidang busana di perguruan tinggi; (2) menguji keefektifan model AFL berbasis HOTS dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan HOTS mahasiswa pendidikan vokasi bidang busana. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan HC-ADDIE modification model. Tahapan research meliputi analysis need assessment. Tahapan development meliputi design prototype model, validasi model, uji keterbacaan, melatih  dosen,  uji coba terbatas dan diperluas sebagai implementation, analysis, dan evaluation melalui CAR. Tahapan diffusion meliputi diseminasi hasil penelitian melalui seminar dan jurnal. Subjek uji coba adalah mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Teknik Busana, Fakultas Teknik, UNY. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penyajian data berupa tabel, grafik, dan diagram, serta menggunakan teknik statistik inferensial yaitu one-way ANOVA, dengan bantuan program Excell dan SPSS for Windows 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) model AFL berbasis HOTS berhasil dikembangkan melalui HC-ADDIE modification model; (2) model AFL berbasis HOTS terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan HOTS mahasiswa. This study is a development research, using HC-ADDIE modification model that is the collaboration and modification of the research, development, and diffusion of Hopkins Clark model with ISD-ADDIE model and the classroom action research. The stages of research include analysis and needs assessment. The stages of development include designing prototype models, validating model, testing reliability, training lecturer/observer, conducting limited and extended trials as implementation, analysis, and evaluation through the classroom action research. The stages of diffusion include the dissemination of research results through seminars and journals. The subjects of this study were under graduate student teachers majoring in the field of clothing of vocational education in the first semester of 2012/2013 at Clothing Technical Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The data analysis used the descriptive statistical techniques with the presentation in the form of tables, graphs, and diagrams, as well as using inferential statistical techniques namely one-way ANOVA. The process of data analysis used Excel and SPSS for Windows 17.0 program. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The HOTS-based AFL model for the teaching and learning of clothing to the student of clothing vocational education is successfully developed through the HC-ADDIE modification model. Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi validitas dan reliablitias konstruk instrumen skala sikap siswa terhadap fisika (SSF)  menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmatori. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 221 siswa SMA yang tersebar di provinsi Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan instrumen non tes berupa skala sikap siswa terhadap Fisika. Instrumen ini terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu komponen Antusias Siswa Pada Fisika dan Pembelajarannya (AF), Guru Fisika (GF) dan  komponen Fisika Sebagai Bagian Karir di Masa Depan (KF). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan ketiga komponen  memiliki validitas baik (loading factor diatas 0,70), meskipun ada sebagian kecil dibawah 0,7 tetapi masih dapat diterima karena memiliki nilai loading factor diatas 0,50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua indikator ini memiliki validitas konstrak yang cukup baik. Analisis lanjutan pengujian reliabilitas konstruk menggunakan Composite Reliability (CR) dan   Average Variance Extarcted (AVE) menunjukkan bahwa semua dimensi SSF memiliki reliabilitas konstruk yang baik.
