Abstract

Kata kunci : Pendapatan orang tua, biaya pendidikan, dan minat melanjutkan pendidikan ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of parental income and education costs on interest in continuing education (a case study of children from SMK Negeri 1 Tenga in Pakuure village, Tenga sub-district, South Minahasa district). The method used in this study uses a quantitative research type survey method. The population in this study was 363 and the research sample was 78. To answer the third hypothesis, the researcher tested the hypothesis with multiple regression analysis, multiple correlation coefficients, determinant coefficients and significant test (f test) because the data obtained met the parameters to perform regression analysis, namely data normal distribution and linear pattern. A constant of 2.666 was found, meaning that if the variables of parental income and education financing did not exist, then the value of the variable of interest in continuing their studies was 2.666. The regression coefficient for the parental income variable is 0.425, which means that for every additional 1 (one) point of the parent's income variable, it will increase the interest in continuing the study by 0.425 times. The regression coefficient for the education financing variable is 0.420, which means that for every additional 1 (one) point in the education financing variable, it will increase the interest in continuing studies by 0.420 times. The results of the double correlation coefficient of 0.764 means that there is a strong relationship between parental income and education financing with interest in continuing studies. The determinant coefficient results is 58.3%, meaning that the joint influence of parental income and education financing on interest in continuing studies is 58.3%. It was found that f arithmetic was 52.521 which was greater than f table of 3.119. This means that the joint influence of parents' income and education financing on interest in continuing their studies is significant at 58.3%. Based on the results of this study, the third hypothesis (H3) together with parents' income and education financing affects the acceptance of their interest in continuing their studies. that is, if parents' income and peer education funding increase together, the interest in continuing their studies will increase for the better. Keywords: Parents' income, education costs, and interest in continuing education.

Abstract

The sustainable competitive advantage of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in creative industry could be demonstrated through the innovation capabilities. In knowledge management literature, knowledge sharing is the key effort to develop innovation capabilities. There are two contrasting theories of Knowledge sharing, Szulanski’s theory assumes a knowledge sharing process is 'sticky' and ambiguous, while Nelson considered knowledge sharing to be an automatic process in an organization. This study arguing, employee fit will make impact on trust is a relatively new idea to bridging the two contrasting theories. Through the study, it was assuming that in order to develop the innovation capabilities of SMEs in the creative industry, knowledge sharing is needed, where trust is a crucial factor in knowledge sharing literature. However, building trust is not a simple matter, it assumed that the employee fit (person job fit and person organization fit) can be useful to build trust in the organization. This research conducted on Bali Province, Special Region Yogyakarta and North Sulawesi Province to represent Indonesia creative industry. 100 data were collected and analyzed with PLS-SEM. The results of this study can be concluded that the SMEs in creative industry innovation capabilities directly influenced by employees fit. The employee fit also significant influenced on trust, and as expected trust strongly influenced knowledge sharing. Surprisingly, knowledge sharing did not influence on innovation capabilities as expected before. The possibility reason, that knowledge sharing dimensions could not make any significant effect due of the concept of innovation funnel and absorptive capacity, which explained that, the more knowledge could achieve, the less knowledge could absorb.

Abstract

Shopping in the consumer retail business is often driven by the lifestyle they live. According to Lastovicka and Joachimsthaler (1988) a person's lifestyle is related to how a person lives, how they spend their money, and how they use their time in daily life which is expressed through activities, interests, and opinions (opinions) in question. As mentioned earlier consumer behavior is also influenced by lifestyle. Therefore, a good knowledge of the consumer lifestyle is important to be known by business people because it is able to provide information about what products should be offered, product innovation, promotions, and so on. The research was conducted in areas that have many retail businesses, especially modern retailers such as Malalayang, Paal 2, Boulevard, and the area around the Airport. Samples were drawn by purposive sampling method. The data collected was 96 respondents. Data were analyzed by multiple regression with SPSS version 20 software. The results showed that lifestyle simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on consumer decisions in choosing a retail business in the city of Manado. Similar results are also shown in each dimension of lifestyle, namely activity, interest and opinion have a significant influence on consumer decisions in choosing a retail business.
