Abstract

Jabon is a plant that is being developed because including fast growing spesies, Jabon an Indonesian native spesies wich valuable high economic and have qualities that do not compote with other spesies . Jabon is a spesies of seed that can be developed trough industri plantation forest and community forest but the aspect of cultivation in the nursery often experience barries in maintenance for example wilting occurs that causes death. This research aimed to know the effect of some inoculum species of FMA ( Fungi Micorrhizal Arbucular) on the growth of jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba Roxb) seedlings. The research was conducted at green house, Forestry Faculty, Tadulako University from Desember 2013 to February 2014. The study was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD)  with four threatments, i.e : Control/without treatment (M0), Glomus mosseae (M1), Glomus clorum (M2), and Glomus deserticola (M3). The observation parameters consits of seedling height increment, diameter increment, leaf number increment, fress weight of roots and shoots, dry weight of roots and shoots and seedling quality index. The result showed that inoculation of FMA spesies significantly affected seedling growth of A. cadamba Roxb. Generally Glomus mosseae spesies was highly improves seedling of A. cadamba Roxb compared to Glomus clorum, and Glomus deserticola spesies and control. Abstract

The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of some sawdust as growth medium on the growth and the yield of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotusostreatus). The research was conducted at Boyaoge village, Palu, Central Sulawesi from September to November 2013. This study used experimental method by Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five sawdust as treatments, i.e; Palapi (Heritierasp.) (M1), Cempaka (Elmerrilia sp.) (M2), Bayur (Pterospermumjavanicum) (M3), Gmelina (Gmelinaarborea) (M4) and Durian (Duriozibethinus) (M5).The results showed that sawdust significantly affected mycelium initiation, growth of mycelium on bag log, primordial initiation, the number of fruiting bodies, stem length, and cap diameter of mushroom. Mushrooms grew best on the sawdust mediumofCempaka (Elmerrillia sp.). The results of the study showed that sawdust of Cempaka (Elmerrillia sp.) gave the best growth with mycelium initiation was 4 days, growth of mycelium on bag log was 27,5 days, primordial initiation was 34,8 days, the number of fruiting bodies was 2, stem length was 4,9 cm, cap diameter of fruiting bodies was 9,7 cm, fresh weight of fruiting bodies was 11,4 g and dry weight of fruiting bodies was 7,5 g. Abstract

Conversion of land use system can affect natural ecological processes such as soil properties. A study was conducted to determine the effects of different land use systems (primary forest, agroforestry and coffea plantation) on soil chemical properties in Lore Lindu National Park area, Bobo village, Palolo district, Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi.We measured these effects by quantifying some chemical soil analysis were done on soil samples taken at two depths (0-30cm and >30-60cm). Soil samples were collected from the field by using steel cylinders at three different land use types; primary forest, agroforestry and coffea plantation, respectively. The results of the study, on one hand, revealed that pH (H2O), C-organic, total N, P-available, total K and cation exchange capacities of the primary forest were 6.43, 2.22 %, 0.17 %, 19.77 mg/100g, 37.36 mg/100g and 30,18 me(+)kg-1, while at agroforestry, pH (H2O), C-organic, total N, P-available, total K and cation exchange capacities were 4.86, 1.61 %, 0.17 %, 19.84 mg/100g, 18.74 mg/100g, 14,56 me(+)kg-1, respectively. Furthermore, pH (H2O), C-organic, total N, P-available, total K and cation exchange capacities of the coffea plantation were 6.49, 1.56 %, 0,17 %, 14.16 mg/100g, 49.69 mg/100g and 2877 me(+)kg-1, respectively. Abstract

Cape (Mimusops elengi L.) treeis one of tree species that grows quickly and adapts easily in tropical area. But, the cape tree needs a longer time to get germination becuase of its hard seed skin. Therefore, it needs scarification or earlier treatment in order to fasten the seed germination. The objective of the reseach was to find out both of seed germination and seedling growth of the cape tree (Mimusops elengi L) on some scarification techniques and growing medium. The research was conducted on June to August 2015 in Permanent Seedling of BPDAS Palu – Poso, Tadulako University, Palu. The soil analysis was conducted in Agronomy Laboratory, Forestry Faculty, Tadulako University. The research applied Factorial Pattern of Complete Randomized Design that consisted of 2 factors and repeated 5 times. The first factor was scarification technique that without scarification or control (S0), seed was submerged in cool water for 3x24 hours (S1), submerged in hot water with early temperature 100°C for 15 minutes (S2), and it submerged with KNO3 0,5% for 10 hours (S3). The second factor was growing medium, soil (M0) and soil mixed with hull of rice charcoal (M1), so there were 8 treatments combination, they were S0M0, S0M1, S1M0, S1M1, S2M0, S2M1, S3M0, and S3M1. The result of the research showed that treatment combination of seed scarification that submerged with KNO3 0,5 % for 10 hours by using soil growing medium (S3M0) gave the highest result on percentage parameter of seed germination of 81,1%, the speed of germinationwas 25,44 days, and seedling wet weight was 0,562 gram. The treatment combination of seed that submerged in cool water for 3x24 hours by using growing medium soil mixed with hull of rice (S1M1) gave the highest result on the parameter  length of seedling rootwas 9,4 cm.Keywords : Cape tree(Mimusops elengi L.), Scarification, Seed, Growing Medium

Abstract

A study on the effects of two Fungi Mycorrhizal Arbuscular (FMA) species and watering interval on the growth and resistance of Aleurites moluccana Willd. Seedlings on drought condition was conducted at the farmers group nursery, Uwemanje village, Kinovaro district, Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with factorial pattern. First, species of  FMA consist of three treatments; without mycorrhizal inoculation/control (M0), Gigaspora margarita (M1), Glomus mosseae (M2). Second, watering interval; every day (A0), every three days (A1) and every six days (A2). Observation Parameters consist of seedling height increment, stem diameter increment, and increment of leaf number per plant, fresh weight of shoot and root, dry weight of shoot and root, and seedling quality index. The results showed that interaction between different FMA species and watering interval had significant effect only on the seedling height increment, fresh weight of shoot and root and dry weight of shoot and root, but FMA species and watering interval treatment gave significant difference on the stem diameter increment and increment of leaf number per plant.The highest growth parameters was achieved by Gigaspora margarita inoculation compared to Glomus mosseae and control treatments in all watering intervals. Abstract

A study on the effects of three fungi mycorrhizal arbuscular (FMA) species on the growth of Aleurites moluccana Willd. Seedlings was conducted at the farmers group nursery, Uwemanje village, Kinovaro district, Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi. The purpose of this research was to know the effects of three FMA species on the growth of A. moluccana Willd. Seedlings. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design(RCD) consist of three treatments; without mycorrhizal inoculation/control (M0), Glomus mosseae (M1), Glomus etunicatum (M2) and Glomus deserticola (M3). Five replication of each treatment combination was used for this study. Observation Parameters consist of seedling height increment, stem diameter increment, and increment of leaf number per plant, fresh weight of shoot and root, dry weight of shoot and root, and seedling quality index. The results showed that inoculation of FMA species had significant effect on the seedling height increment, stem diameter increment and increment of leaf number per plant, fresh weight of shoot and root and dry weight of shoot and root. The highest growth parameters was achieved by Glomus mosseae inoculation compared to Glomus etunicatum, Glomus deserticola and control treatments. Therefore, G. mosseae species is recommended for bio-fertilizer at nursery stage to improve early growth of seedlings. Abstract

A study was conducted to determine soil chemical properties in zonation of mangrove forest, Tumpapa village, Balinggi district, Parigi Moutong regency, Central Sulawesi.We measured these effects by quantifying some chemical soil analysis were done on soil samples taken at depths 0-60cm. Soil samples were collected from the field by using paralon cylinders at four different zonation; transition zone (Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera, Ceriops and Xylocarpus), high tidal zone (Rhizophora apiculata and Bruguiera gymnorhiza), middle tidal zone (Rhizophora apiculata) and low tidal zone (Rhizophora styllosa and Rhizophora mucronata), respectively. The results showed that chemical soil properties in transition zone were pH 7.2, C-organic 0.75%, total N 0.13%, available P 8.68% and cation exchange capacities 22.17 me/100 g. At the high tidal zone were pH 6.4, C-organic 2.46%, total N 0.27%, available P 9.14% and cation exchange capacities 24.16 me/100 g. At the middle tidal zone were pH 6.1, C-organic 2.55%, total N 0.26%, available P 9.32% and cation exchange capacities 24.54 me/100 g. Hence, At the low tidal zone were pH 6.7, C-organic 1.71%, total N 0.15%, available P 10.41% and cation exchange capacities 23.11 me/100 g. Abstract

Jati (Tectona grandis L. f) be one of the tropical plants that has economical value tall, because the wood belongs to multipurpose wood. teak can be used to various also dekoratif technique need. The natural distribution found at Indians, Burma and Thailand. In Iindonesia found at java, Kangean, Bali, Muna, Buton, Maluku, Sumbawa and Lampung. teak development at district dampelas planted according to monokultur in vast scale. This watchfulness activity aims to detect pest kinds, attack phenomenon, also pest attack intensity in strightened Jati (T. grandis l. f) at village Talaga district Dampelas regency Donggala. Watchfulness result demoes that pest kinds that assault strightened teak melokasi watchfulness tree termite (Neotermes tectonae), Dry wood termite (Crytotermes spp.), Plantlice (Aphis sp.), Grasshopper (Valanga nigricornis Burn), Black ant (Fuliginosus Lasius),  and Shakies (Duomitus Ceramicus). temporary pest attack frequency in strightened teak as big as 88,2% with attack intensity 34,9% and pest attack consequence teak strightened damage criteria damage. Abstract

Kenyataan yang ada di lingkungan sekolah di kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang saat ini, telah banyak kasus yang menyalahi nilai pendidikan seperti; sudah mulainya memudar nilai agama, nilai akhlak/moral, nilai sosial, dan nilai karakter pada siswa khususnya SMA dan SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka jenis deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap nilai pendidikan dan menjadikan nilai pendidikan tersebut sebagai salah satu sumber bahan ajar yang dapat dintegrasikan ke dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA dan SMK yang terkandung di dalam kumpulan pappaseng “Seuntai Mutiara yang Terpendam” oleh A.M. Ali. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kajian pustaka dengan teknik pencatatan/pengkodean. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah ungkapan/pernyataan yang mengandung nilai pendidikan agama, akhlak/moral, sosial, dan karakter dengan. Sumber data penelitian ini dari “Kumpulan ‘Seuntai Mutiara yang Terpendam’ oleh A.M. Ali”. Di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai luhur, seperti nilai pendidikan. Oleh karena itu rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (i) Bagaimanakah nilai pendidikan yang ada di dalam Pappaseng (Pesan-pesan) dalam kumpulan “Seuntai Mutiara yang Terpendam” oleh A.M. Ali? (ii) Bagaimanakah penerapan nilai pendidikan dalam kumpulan “Seuntai Mutiara yang Terpendam” oleh A.M. Ali sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA dan SMK? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 60 pesan nilai pendidikan yang disampaikan oleh cendikiawan yang berbeda. Nilai pendidikan tersebut terdiri atas; 10 pesan yang bernilai pendidikan agama, 19 pesan bernilai pendidikan akhlak/moral, 12 pesan bernilai pendidikan sosial, dan 19 pesan bernilai pendidikan karakter. Adapun nilai pendidikan karakter itu dapat dijadikan acuan dan diterapkan di dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA dan SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to first determine the business income of maize processing in farm households in Mantobua Village, Lohia District, Muna Regency, secondly to find out the financial feasibility of a corn processing business in Mantobua Village, Lohia District, Muna Regency. The analysis used in this study is income analysis and financial feasibility analysis consisting of Net Present Value (NPV), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (NBCR), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback period (PBP), Break Even Point (BEP ) and Sensitivity Analysis. The results of this study indicate that the processing of maize in Mantobua Village is still simple even though the processing has used a grater machine, and the grinder. Whereas in terms of business feasibility, corn processing business in Mantobua Village is feasible to be cultivated. Because at the 7% discount factor (df), the NPV value of  Rp 10,131,577.4, NBCR of 38.85, IRR of  78.17%, PBP of 0.93 Years or 11 months of 16 days with a business life of 5 years, and BEP of production of 3,544 Kg and BEP of Rp 8419 / Kg. While the analysis of sensitivity feasibility where the condition of increasing production costs is 4.29% at a discount factor (df) of 7%, an NPV value of Rp 8,905,501, NBCR of 10.56, IRR of 81.9%, PBP of 0.99 years or 1 year. While the condition if the selling price decreases 4.29% is obtained NPV of Rp 8,272,844, NBCR of 8.09, IRR of 79.98% and PBP of 1.04 years or 12 months of 14 days. In these circumstances corn processing business in Mantobua Village is still feasible.
