Abstract

Religious values are very important in education, especially for strengthening the character of children in elementary schools. Thus, the religious values applied to elementary school children greatly affect the morale of these children. This study aims to find out and describe how the formation of religious character in a general elementary school, namely SDN Pisangan 03 which lives in Pisangan Village, East Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, Banten Province. Basically, this research uses a qualitative descriptive method. In data collection techniques using techniques by means of surveys, observations and literature reviews as well as studying relevant theoretical perspectives to facilitate understanding of the phenomena that researchers want to study, namely collecting reference sources from both books and journals. The published topics are related to the research focus that is further explored by researchers, namely religious character education. The conclusion of this study is that SDN Pisangan 03 has started to instill character in students by habituating them in the school environment from coming to school

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the views of parents on children's literacy abilities before entering elementary education. Parents are worried about their children's ability to keep up with school, especially when preparing them to start elementary school (SD). This concern is reflected from various perspectives in society. To change this perspective, support from the government is needed, such as changing the requirements for admitting new students to elementary schools. Thus, it is expected to reduce misunderstandings and high expectations from parents for their children's learning achievements. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach as the main approach to achieve the research objectives. The necessary data is collected through online observation using a Google form. The results of this study include: (1) parents' views, (2) stages of language development in early childhood, (3) early childhood reading ability, (4) early childhood writing ability, (5) the role of parents in developing interest reading and writing for early childhood, and (6) the obstacles encountered in developing early childhood interest in reading

Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the implementation of science literacy-based learning in primary schools. The evaluative quantitative investigation used Stake's Countenance Model to measure the implementation of authentic assessments, including three critical stages, namely (1) Antecedent, (2) Process, and (3) Outcomes. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 20 Islamic Elementary Schools (IES) in West Java that participated in the Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment (IMCA) result follow-up training programs. Furthermore, data collection methods included observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which were analyzed using a percentage-based analytical approach. This allowed direct understanding into the information disclosed and the identification of specific aspects of the studied problem. Observation and interview data were analyzed using an interactive model, including data collection, display, and conclusion. The results showed that several aspects did not achieve the 100% standard. Planning (Atencedents) in the “Not Good” category with a percentage of 61.40%, while Implementation (Transaction) and Results (Outcomes) stages obtained 70.17% and 52.36% in the “Enough” and the “Very Not Good” categories.
