Abstract

Community service is one of the obligations to the community which is carried out in a programmed and planned manner. By empowering the community which is the target group, the service is carried out as a relationship between empowerment and the target that will be the goal of service. Air Satan Village in Muara Beliti District is one of the agricultural and livestock areas, especially cattle and goats in Musi Rawas Regency. This resulted in a large amount of waste from livestock manure that was abandoned around the stables. Farmers' insight into the importance of protecting the environment is expected to increase as their knowledge increases in the utilization of natural resources into organic fertilizer. Pemberdayaan has a direction to provide motivation to the target community with education, direct practice. The method used is the method of lectures and demonstrations to the public. This activity is carried out by providing material through counseling (power point media) and then conducting demonstrations/training so that this counseling has success, namely farmers have the knowledge and ability to make liquid and solid organic fertilizers from livestock waste which can be used to replace inorganic fertilizers. This success was measured by the contribution of farmers who were active in discussions during the demonstration process. The increase in knowledge and ability is expected to contribute to the application process in the field.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung maggot (Hermetia illucens) yang mengandung fitobiotik tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dalam ransum terhadap berat karkas dan persentase karkas pada ayam KUB. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Non Faktorial dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari M0 = 0% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum, M1 = 2% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum, M2 = 4% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum, M3 = 6% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum, M4 = 8% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum, M5 = 10% tepung maggot + 2% tepung daun kelor dalam 1 kg ransum. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi bobot akhir, bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, persentase potongan karkas dada, persentase potongan karkas paha. Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA), jika terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara perlakuan maka dilakukan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlakuan pemberian tepung maggot dalam ransum yang mengandung fitobiotik tepung daun kelor berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap bobot akhir, bobot potong, bobot karkas dan presentase karkas. Tetapi memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase potongan karkas dada dan persentase potongan karkas paha. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpukan bahwa pemberian tepung maggot (Hermetia illucens) dalam ransum yang mengandung fitobiotik tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) pada perlakuan M5 (pemberian tepung maggot 10%) memberikan hasil terbaik pada bobot akhir, bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas ayam KUB. Kata Kunci : Ayam KUB, Bobot Karkas, Persentase Karkas, Tepung Maggot.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the concentration of liquid smoke (Liqiud Smoke) and immersion time on the quality of broiler chicken meat. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern, 2 factors consisting of 4 treatments of liquid smoke concentration each and 3 treatments of immersion time with 3 replications. The treatment factors are as follows: A0 = meat + 0% liquid smoke, A1 = meat + 4% liquid smoke, A2 = meat + 8% liquid smoke, A3 = meat + 12% liquid smoke. Parameters observed in this study were water holding capacity, fat content, cooking loss, pH. By using analysis of variance and further test BNJ. The results of this study indicate that the addition of liquid smoke concentration and immersion time has a significant effect (P<0.05) on fat content and pH. No significant effect (P>0.05) on water holding capacity and cooking loss. Based on the results of the research on the concentration of liquid smoke (liquid smoke) and immersion time on the quality of broiler chicken meat, it can be concluded that treatment A2W2 (Immerison 30 Minutes and concentration of liquid smoke 8ml) gave the best effect on pH and water holding capacity
