Abstract

The objective of this study is to make analysis the content of this novel. In analysing of this novel, it used Levi-Strauss Structural Analysis. This novel tries to criticize one of the side Javanese feudalisme that has the uncivilized and inhuman character. Meanwhile, it also tells about the social relationship between the second class that is different in javanese people structure, they are the have class with the poor class. Because of that, by simple writing, it will try to verify the structure of the Beach Girl Novel and structure of javanese people relationship by using the Levi-Strauss Structuralism Approach. For more clear explanation of this novel, keep trying to read of this writing.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources. One model of education that expected to produce qualified human resources, increase independence, and empower the community is learning of the foreign language. The objective of learning foreign languages is to create self-reliance and community empowerment. In other words, it is oriented to the needs of the community. By learning of that foreign language, it should be in synergy with the selection of teaching materials and appropriate learning media with the selection of appropriate teaching methods as well. Like or dislike, revolution and the selection of curriculum materials quality in foreign language learning should be done. Foreign language learning should be synergy with the subjects or courses in human resource development and entrepreneurship education, for example, they are capable of producing human resources that have the hard skills of qualified foreign language communicative, also have soft skills that make them appear to be individuals who are capable of creating self-reliance and empower people

Abstract

This study is to explore the gender construction to the Dayaknese women reproduction health myth in Palangkaraya. This study used descriptive qualitative type. To take sample of this study was done by random sampling.The population target of this study were choosen by using special selection that of the subject of this study were the inhabitant who lives in Palangka Raya without using gender discriminated.  The mythes which are related to dayaknese women reproduction health showed that there were some related to gender construction which was full gender imbalances. If they are related to the myth, so the distinction system between woman and man are constructed to some mythes.The above mythes declared that the real gender constructions were from the way of men to think, so it showed that the wowen had restrictiveness to make action in their daily life.  The above mythes declared that the pregnant woman should not sew the cloth, go fishing, sit with the legs crossed, should use rings in her anklet, should abstain to eat some food. It showed that the systems of men thoughts were to delimitate of women actions.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis kesalahan terhadap kesalahan tata bahasa dalam abstrak skripsi mahasiswa. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari 20 abstrak skripsi mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, adalah dokumentasi. Sumber data yang diperoleh adalah data tulis, bukan data lisan yang ditulis. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendapatkan data yang valid, digunakan trianggulasi data atau sumber. Data yang diperoleh melalui dokumentasi. Oleh karena itu, teknik analisis data yang digunakan, adalah analisis isi. Hal ini terkait dengan sumber data dan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Jenis kesalahan tata bahasa yang terjadi di dalam abstrak skripsi mahasiswa, adalah diksi, nomina plural singular, kesesuaian verba dengan subjek, tanda baca, kalimat berlari, artikel, kalimat tidak efektif, redundansi kata, ejaan, subjek dan predikat tidak jelas, posesif nomina dan adjektiva, kata sifat, kalimat tanya, preposisi, kata kerja bantu “be”, kalimat pasif, struktur paralel, klausa relatif, kalimat negatif, kata kerja, kapitalisasi, modal, menggunakan istilah bahasa Indonesia, dan refleksif pronomina.

Abstract

This study focuses on three questions: (1) How are the students’ perceptions to the implementation of English assessment? (2) How are the students’ perceptions to the items of English assessment? (3) How are the students’ perceptions to their scores in English assessment? Data were collected from the interview to the students (13 students). They were chosen based on the upper and lower scores. Purpose sampling was used in deciding of the students as the informants. Scores in this study were from the upper score (>400) and lower score (<400).Findings of the interview revealed that as follows: (1) Majority of the students consider that the implementation of English assessment was not effective yet. It was not effective meant that the performance of the English assessment had some problems. For examples: classroom, the number of the students, and time cases. The main problems were the preparation of the performance of English assessment was not ready, (2) Majority of the students had got problems in listening comprehension section. They could not listen to the cassette well. Responses of the students, only a few of the students did not have problems with listening comprehension section, and (3) Majority of the students got dissatisfactions to their scores. Statements indicated that their scores did not fulfill their expectation to the performance of English assessment. The other findings revealed that certification purpose of assessment is important, and students agree that assessment could aim to develop students’ capacity for current and future learning. Students’ perceptions of assessment practice also suggest that current assessment practice could develop their competence in English.

The main positive of this study showed the most respondents have got the different perception to this myth of this time. The responses of respondents considered that the mythes were not significant anymore at the present time. The perceptions of respondents came out like this because there are some changes to the way of thinking and their educational level are more and more getting better. Besides that, the old generations had not informed anymore about mythes to their children, with the result that there are some young generation did not know about mythes.  Â
