Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi aljabar siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik; (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik dengan yang mendapat pembelajaran klasikal dengan pendekatan saintifik.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Taman. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling diperoleh dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, tes, observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji t dan uji proporsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran TGT dengan pendekatan saintifik lebih baik daripada yang mendapat pembelajaran klasikal dengan pendekatan saintifik. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaranTGT dengan pendekatan saintifik lebihefektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Taman pada materi aljabar.

Abstract

Elementary lesson plan course is a compulsory subject for students in PGSD on 5th semester. It is hoped that the students are able to create a learning design. One of the learning outcomes of this course is PGSD students are able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives based on Blooms taxonomy revision. The problem that often arised was the students faced difficulty to identify learning objectives. This research was a qualitative research. This study aimed to determine the ability of PGSD students in analyzing the cognitive dimension of learning objectives. This study used three students class of 2014 from PGSD Universitas Adi Buana PGRI Surabaya, consisted of student who has high, medium and low capability. The instruments used were worksheets of analysis of learning objectives and guidelines for the interview. Data were collected by tests and interviews. Data analysis technique using reducing of data, presenting of data, and make inferences. The result showed that subject with high capability has been able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives well. Subject with medium and low capability have not been able to analyze the cognitive dimension of learning objectives well. It was shown from the error analysis of learning objectives and interviews. Obstacles faced by students were they did not understand the cognitive dimensions according to Bloom. The students did not understand the purpose of learning well according to the ABCD rule, and lack of precision in the analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the development of valid and practical Mathematics learning instruments with the scientific approach-based TGT model;(2) to investigate the learning effectiveness with the use of Mathematics learning instruments with the scientific approach-based TGT model on the learning material of Algebra Operation.This research used the research and development method. The development of learning instrument was done by means of 4Ds claimed by Thiagarajan model, et.al. However, this research used only 3Ds, namely: Define, Design, and Develop. The developed learning instruments included lesson plans, student’s work sheet, and test of problem-solving ability. The subjects exposed to the experimentation were the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 2 of Pemalang, State Junior Secondary School 4 of Taman, and State Junior Secondary School 1 of Pemalang. The results of research are as follows: (1) The developed learning instruments are declared as valid ones by the validators; (2) The instruments are also practical because the students have a good response on the developed instruments, the teachers have a good response on the developed instrument, and the lesson plans have been implemented well in the learning process; (3)  the learning process in the experimental class is effective because the students have good learning activities, the problem-solving ability mean of the students in the experimental class is better than that of the students in control class, and the student’s problem-solving ability has fulfilled the classical learning completeness.Keywords: development of learning instruments, TGT, and scientific approach

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine differences in student’s high order thinking skills taught by brain based learning model with student’s high order thinking skills taught by direct learning model. The study was conducted through a quasi-experimental posttest design. The population of this study was students of the elementary school teacher education department of Adi Buana PGRI University of Surabaya, by using Random Sampling. The subjects are 80 students inclasses 2017-A and 2017-B. The data was collected by using test method. The data analyses were T test the difference of average, to examine the distinction of high order thinking skills between the brain based learning and direct learning class. The result of the study showed that score average of the student’s high order thinking skills in brain based learning classwere better than score average of of the student’s high order thinking skills in direct learning class.Keyword: Brain based learning, High order thinking skills Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang diajarkan oleh model pembelajaran berbasis otak dengan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang diajarkan oleh model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui desain posttest kuasi-eksperimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa jurusan pendidikan guru sekolah dasar Universitas Adi Buana PGRI Surabaya, dengan menggunakan Random Sampling. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 80 siswa yang mencakup 2017-A dan 2017-B. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes. Analisis data adalah uji T perbedaan rata-rata, untuk menguji perbedaan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi antara pembelajaran berbasis otak dan kelas pembelajaran langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa di kelas pembelajaran berbasis otak lebih baik daripada skor rata-rata keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa di kelas pembelajaran langsung.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Otak, Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi

Abstract

Literasi matematika adalah kemampuan individu dalam merumuskan, menerapkan, dan menafsirkan matematika pada berbagai konteks. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan apakah terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD di Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa PGSD angkatan 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling yang kemudian terpilih kelas 2018 E sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 2018 F sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes yang diadaptasi dari soal PISA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pada model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD.

Abstract

Understanding narrative text is an urgency for students. Reading is not just about seeing symbols, but understanding the meaning of those symbols. This research is used to find problems or problems in understanding narrative text reading. The purpose of this study is to describe the problems or problems that can be understood by students in understanding narrative reading text in grade 4 in online learning at SDN Margorejo 1/403. This research uses a descriptive approach. Researchers used 40 grade 4B students and took 3 students as subjects. The techniques used by researchers used observation and tests. The observation method is used to measure students' understanding through learning what students understand from reading with the aspect of storytelling. While the test used for the 3 students explained the least amount of reading comprehension. The results showed that students experienced problems related to reading comprehension of narrative text where students did not understand the reading comprehension indicators: (1) the students had not been able to find the main idea of ​​the reading text (2) the students did not understand the information from the reading (3) the students had not been able to determine the facts and (opinion 4) students have not been able to conclude the reading. Suggestions for teachers to use better reading strategies and teachers to analyze reading. So that students are more careful in reading and make a corset to see the contents of the reading read.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of class III-A students in learning using flashcard media at Tenggilis Mejoyo 1 Elementary School Surabaya. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study was class III-A students at Tenggilis Mejoyo 1 Elementary School Surabaya Academic Year 2018-2019 which consisted of 29 students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The validity of the data uses Triangulation techniques. The results showed that the activity of class III-A students in learning using flashcard media in Tenggilis Mejoyo 1 Elementary School Surabaya was said to be good, this was seen through visual activity activities in the form of students observing when learning took place, oral activity in the form of students daring to express opinions, writing activity namely by recording from what is heard and seen, listening activity which is listening to the learning delivered.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di SD adalah mengembangkan literasi sekolah. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan workshop tentang pengembangan literasi sekolah pada pembelajaran matematika di SD. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh guru SD se-Kecamatan Genteng Kota Surabaya, sebanyak 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah: (1) pemberian pengetahuan teoritis dan praktis tentang pengembangan literasi pada pembelajaran matematika; (2) penugasan pembuatan rancangan pengembangan literasi sekolah dalam pembelajaran matematika; (3) simulasi. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah: (1) Peserta kegiatan antusias mengikuti workshop dan respon terhadap kegiatan workshop menunjukkan kategori baik; (2) Peserta dapat membuat pengembangan literasi sekolah dalam pembelajaran matematika berupa RPP; (3) Peserta dapat mensimulasikan pengembangan literasi sekolah dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Pembelajaran lintas kurikulum berfokus pada penguatan pendidikan karakter 2013 dalam setiap materi. Namun yang terjadi masih banyak kasus penyimpangan dan akhlak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengembangan karakter kepedulian sosial melalui pembelajaran di SDN Kebondalem Mojosari. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah pricipal, guru dan siswa kelas 4. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dan keabsahan datanya menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN Kebondalem Mojosari menetapkan 5 karakter. Religius, mandiri, kreatif, berintegritas dan seksi dalam berkarya. Karakter kepedulian sosial dilakukan dengan pembuatan skenario rencana pemikir, pengalaman, interaksi, komunikasi, refleksi dan inovasi. Pembelajaran karakter peduli sosial terintegrasi melalui konsep pemikir. Adanya buku yang telah disepakati antara pengasuh, guru dan siswa. Metode tutor sebaya di kelas 4 yang bertujuan untuk membantu teman yang belum memahami materi pelajaran. Ringkasan dan saran tersebut diberikan agar hasil penelitian dapat bermanfaat bagi pembaca khususnya bagi pendidik yang ingin mengembangkan karakter peduli sosial melalui pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Hasil PISA menyatakan bahwa siswa Indonesia memiliki kemampuan literasi yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh realistic mathematics education terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas II SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. Terdapat pengaruh apabila rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan model RME lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol yang diajar menggunakan model TPS. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan tipe quasi eksperimental design tipe Posttest-Only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas II-D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan II-E sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan teknik dokumentasi. Lembar observasi dan tes soal cerita adalah alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sedangkan untuk tes analisis data digunakan SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh realistic mathematics education terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas II SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan model RME lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol yang diajar dengan model TPS. ABSTRACTPISA results state that Indonesian students have low literacy skills. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was a realistic mathematics education effect on the mathematics literacy skills of the second grade students of SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. The existence of the environment, the average mathematical literacy ability of the experimental class students who were taught with the RME model was better in accordance with the control class using the TPS model. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research with a quasi experimental design type Posttest-Only. The population in this study were students of class II SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. The sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique in order to obtain class II-D as the experimental class and II-E as the control class. The data techniques used were tests, observation, and documentation techniques. The observation sheet and story test were data aids used in this study, while the data analysis test used SPSS 22. The results showed that there was an effect of realistic mathematics education on the mathematics literacy skills of grade II students of SD Hang Tuah 10 Juanda. This is indicated by the ability of the experimental class students' average mathematical literacy taught with the RME model better than the control class taught with the TPS model.
