Abstract

Batik Tulis Garutan is part of the local wisdom typical of Garut Regency which is still surviving until now. Currently, Batik Tulis Garutan is concentrated in Garut city, the average production capacity per year is 1,600 pieces. Based on the data obtained, this study intends to find out how the Garutan Batik Written House RM maintains the existence of Garutan hand-drawn batik. The purpose of this study is to explain how to define problems or opportunities, planning and programming, taking action and communication, and evaluating programs in the Communication Strategy of Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. While the data collection techniques used in this study were in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The subject of this research is the Garutan Batik Writer House Manager, who is involved in implementing the communication program planning strategy, totaling three people using snowball sampling. The result of the research shows that Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM has not been able to implement the implementation of the workshop program as a communication strategy in maintaining the existence of Batik Tulis Garutan. It is shown that Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM .in defining the problem or analyzing the situation is not enough to find out how the problem is happening, because it is more focused on the production and sale of products. In the planning and programming strategy there is a structured plan that contains goals, targets, conveys messages in an informative, persuasive and instructive manner, but there is no maximum technical arrangement, the strategy is carried out by maximizing good relations with external parties as targets and utilizing the media. Implementation is done by compiling a periodic scale, the allocation of resources. The evaluation was carried out by Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM based on the number of participants, with this number it can be seen that the enthusiasm of the community in supporting the implementation of the program was carried out.

Abstract

Digitalization brings benefits to the development of communication media around the world. Now communication can be done interactively and in real-time through digital media. Social media is a popular digital communication media used by teenagers to interact socially. The phenomenon that occurs is a change in behavior and activities of social media users, especially teenagers. The ease of accessing and exchanging information gives rise to the phenomenon of the spread of hoaxes. Kominfo revealed that there were 565,449 hoax content circulating through social media throughout 2021. This study aims to determine the impact of digital-based media literacy on the behavior of anti-spreading hoaxes among teenagers. This research uses quantitative and verification methods. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents from SMA Negeri 2 Lembang students. Samples were taken based on purposive sampling category. Data analysis used simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 20.0. The results showed that there was a significant negative impact of digital-based media literacy on the behavior of anti-spreading hoaxes among adolescents with a coefficient of determination of 73.4%, while the remaining 53.8% was influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the pros and cons of greeting Om Swastiastu among officials. The purpose of this study is to find and explain more deeply about the motives, experiences and meaning of Om Swastiastu's greetings for communication between religions. The research method used in this research is the phenomenology method. While the data collection techniques used are non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, literature study and documentation. The subjects of this study were government officials or apparatuses who said Om Swastiastu greeting, amounting to 7 people and taking informants using purposive sampling. The results showed that the future motives (in order motive) greetings from Om Swastiastu were self existence and tolerance and motives from the past (because motive) greetings from Om Swastiastu were due to internal encouragement, the spirit of nationality, a sense of nationalism and the principle of neutrality. While the experience of saying Om swastiastu greetings is divided into pleasant experiences (positive), that is feeling valued, getting new political relations, good treatment, sympathy and growing solidarity between people while the unpleasant experience (negative) is mandating unfavorable treatment, derision in the form of harsh words, criticism and stay away from and considered to have no stance. While the meaning of Om swastiastu's greetings is to pray for salvation in the Hindu version, a word of thanksgiving and a greeting.

Abstract

This study aims to discover and explain the motives, experiences and meaning of conversion of religion from Christian Religion to Islam. The theory used is the theory of phenomenology that explains the structure of the conscious experience, as well as studying the form of experience from the point of view of the person who experienced it directly who has the openness and availability to be explored. This research method using qualitative approach through participant observation, depth interview, and literature study. The subject of research is the perpetrator who convert Christianity to Islam as the main informant who represented by purposive sampling technique which amounted to 7 people in Garut City. The result of the research shows that it produces several categorizations related to the motive of purpose (future), that is to get the happiness of the world and the hereafter, enlightenment, life balance, get ridho, magfiroh, togetherness and blessing, and motif because (past) marriage, perfect religion, acceptable common sense and one aqidah in couples. While the perpetrator's experience of happiness is born inward, gaining knowledge of the new teachings of religion, life becomes more valuable and affectionate. While the meaning contained for the actors is the change of life procedures, the procedures of worship, the movement of beliefs and guidelines in life.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the emergence of news about the abuse of narcotics by unscrupulous members of the police, Kompol Yuni, which had become the talk of the wider community, so that many media reported on this case, including detik.com. The purpose of this study was to explain the level of text, social cognition, and the social context of the law of imprisonment by the police officers at detik.com. The research method in this study uses descriptive qualitative with a critical paradigm. The theory used is the theory of critical discourse analysis of the Teun A Van Dijk model. While the data collection techniques used are interviews, literature study, and documentation. With journalists, members of the police, and also members of the National Narcotics Agency. The results showed that at the text level, the elements of the macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure explained an unfavorable situation experienced by the Greek composer. At the level of social cognition, journalists tend to see that Kompol Yuni is in the wrong and this case is interesting news that can be consumed by the public. The level of social context in this news discourse is the practice of power carried out by detik.com against published news and the existence of full access power in handling cases by the West Java Regional Police Propam. From the results of the study, it can be said that reporting on Narcotics by the yuni police at the level of text, social cognition, and social context both highlighted the yuni police as the main role in this case.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena derasnya arus informasi yang beredar di media sosial era transformasi digital, dan dengan seiring terjadinya penurunan etika di kalangan anak remaja. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut pesantren menjadi tempat di mana para remaja melakukan perbaikan diri mulai dari etika hingga norma beragama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan motif, pengalaman, dan makna pesan etika menggunakan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori fenomenologi yang memiliki asumsi bahwa manusia secara aktif menginterpretasikan pengalamannya dengan memberi makna pada suatu hal yang dialaminya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi kepustakaan. Informan dalam penelitian ini yakni 3 santri dan 2 alumni pondok pesantren Darul Arqam serta 4 narasumber dari pimpinan ponpes, guru bk, ilmuan kegamaan, dan ahli teknologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motif dari pesan etika menggunakan media sosial ini terbagi menjadi dua, yakni motif untuk tujuan menjaga sikap etika santri sesuai dengan ajaran Al-Qur’an dan Hadist. Motif karena dari pesan etika menggunakan media sosial ini yakni banyaknya pengaruh buruk yang masuk dari media sosial. Pengalaman yang dialami oleh santri terdapat pengalaman negatif seperti cyber bullying hingga mudah termakan informasi bohong atau hoax, dan pengalaman positif yang didapatkan oleh santri yakni dengan cepatnya arus informasi di media sosial santri bisa dengan mudah mendapatkan informasi yang mereka butuhkan. Santri juga memaknai pesan etika menggunakan media sosial ini dengan lebih hati-hati dalam bermedia sosial, artinya ada pesan etika yang bisa para santri maknai dan diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan santri sehari-hari.

Abstract

Communication messages on the BKKBN Instagram account are important to meet the information needed by the community regarding the Family Planning Program (FP). This study aims to describe the message target, intended target, message content and message reference on the BKKBN Instagram account. Stimulus, Organism and Response (SOR) Theory as the grand theory used in this study, provides an overview of the effect (response) of the message (stimulus) which is the subject of this research. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with content analysis method. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it is known that most of the target messages on the BKKBN Instagram account aim to provide information, with the intended target mostly being addressed to the general public, and the message content is more about knowledge for the intended target, while message references tend to be without references or come from media team creative. Taking into account the element of the message (stimulus) that is conveyed through the BKKBN Instagram account, it is recommended that the BKKBN Instagram account more direct its targets to the millennials generation or even to the zillennials generation, most of whom are currently entering the age of marriage and also paying more attention to the source of the uploaded message reference.

Abstract

Therapeutic communication is one of the communications applied to Children with Special Needs (CSN), designed for therapy. This research is triggered by the number of Children with Special Needs who have not been accommodated to receive a complete education; this means Children with Special Needs have not been able to get an education because of various problems such as school places, parents inability, and the unwillingness of parents to let their children study which is influenced by social difficulties. Children with Special Needs typically feel scared, reluctant, hesitant, or unable to express themselves; these children are often excluded because they cannot communicate and socialize well, so that the impact is not good for the psychic, mental, social, and sensory of the children. This study aims to analyze the effect of empathy and warmth on associative and dissociative social processes. The research uses a study type with a quantitative approach with 50 people as samples. Data collection is carried out through primary data collection by using a questionnaire spread to several respondents and field observation to see the therapy used. The results showed that the empathy correlation coefficient value of the associative social process was 0.443 (strong enough), and the dissociative social process was 0.554 (strong enough). Meanwhile, the value of the warmth coefficient correlation to the associative social process was 0.850 (strong), and the dissociative social process was 0.880 (strong). Thus, the effect of play therapy as a therapeutic communication on social interaction is 0.428 (strong enough), while the achievement coefficient of determination is 0.283. The independent variables have an influence and contribute with a rate of 28.3% to the independent variable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi beragamnya kebijakan media massa dalam mengaplikasikan asas praduga tak bersalah. Perbedaan redaksi media dalam mempraktekkan asas ini harus diperbaiki sesuai dengan kode etik jurnalistik agar tidak ada jurang perbedaan antar media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menjelaskan pemberitaan dugaan suap anggota Komisi Pemilihan Umum Garut yang dimuat pada harian  Pikiran Rakyat, 2 Maret 2018. menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pendidikan mempengaruhi level individu wartawan dalam menulis berita dugaan suap tersebut. Individu yang mempelajari kode etik jurnalistik memiliki cara sendiri dalam mempraktekkan asas praduga tak bersalah. Level rutinitas media berkaitan dengan kebiasaan media dalam mengemas suatu berita. Level organisasi berkaitan dengan kebijakan media dalam mengemas berita dimana hal inilah yang menjadi sumber dari ragam kebijakan media dalam mempraktekkan kode etik jurnalistik bahwa surat kabar Pikiran Rakyat menempatkan pemberitaan suap dengan menetapkan asas praduga tidak bersalah melalui penggunaan kata dugaan pada judul berita. Pada level ekstramedia, isi media dipengaruhi oleh Dewan Pers, organisasi pers, pemerintah dan penegak hukum. Pada level ideologi, pemimpin redaksi surat kabar Pikiran Rakyat menafsirkan bahwa penulisan nama tersangka tidak berkaitan dengan asas praduga tak bersalah dan tidak melanggar kode etik jurnalistik.
