Abstract

Many problems were found in the field related to lecturers. Lecturers who are supposed to be disciplined come to class to teach, but some come late to class and end class early before the time runs out. There are lecturers who come and fill out the attendance list at the picket and go straight to class to teach, but there are also those who are not in class to teach because they have other purposes. Some senior lecturers ask their juniors or teaching assistants to teach classes. Some lecturers conduct proposal seminars, comprehensive examinations or conduct counseling for students as academic advisers, or provide student thesis guidance. In the learning process, the approach taken to students sometimes does not have a positive effect on them, the learning methods used are also less varied. Abstract

This article describes the portrait of the Islamic Philanthropy idea of KH. Ma'ruf Amin in the context of the economic empowerment of the Ummah. This paper rests on the basic premise that religion cannot be separated from the social dynamics of society. Methodologically, this article is library research using analytical descriptive method and normative, historical, and sociological approaches as a reading instrument for various literatures. In the context of Islamic philanthropy, the idea of economic empowerment of K.H. Ma'ruf Amin pivots on strengthening regional economic infrastructure and equitable development. Inequality of the economy of Indonesia is the result of past economic policies that adopted the conglomeration model of the trickle-down effect theory. To respond to this model, K.H. Ma'ruf Amin offers a pattern of economic development that adopts the ketupat model, which describes an increase in the economy in the weak economic sector so that there is a gradual increase in the middle economic sector

Although both education and morality are different, in practice they are closely related and synergistic. In the Islamic world, even education is in a lower dimension than morality. This shows that the importance of morality is so important that knowledge seems to fade away its essence without morality. Ibn Miskawaih is a thinker who is concerned with the moral dimension. The idea of morals boils down to divine values and Islamic ethics. Ibn Miskawaih offers his character concept emphasizing psychological and religious aspects to improve the character quality of students. This research is a literature study with a descriptive text analysis method. The results showed that Ibn Miskawaih was very intense in applying the habit method to explore the character of students. According to Ibnu Miskawaih, environmental habits, friends and family are the most important media in educational media

The supporters claim that the legality of alcohol is part of local wisdom so it deserves to be legalized. Meanwhile, the majority of Indonesian muslims have rejected this policy with various approaches. This turmoil is interesting to study in order to ground the Qur’an which has long forbidden khamar to be traded. This study used a phenomenological method which is based on the interpretation of the Qur'an, especially the thematic comparisons by the Tafsir Al-Maraghy, Al-Misbah, and Al-Qurthubi. There were three concluding phases of this study; First, the process of forbidding khamar in the Qur'an has certain phases and levels before it is totally prohibited. Second, the most dominant advantage of khamar is only in terms of trading, while the rest has more disadvantages. Third, khamr still applies to emergencies such as medical needs, alchemy, medicine and perfumes. In essence, the legality of alcohol which is to be consumed (drunkenness) is forbidden in Islam.

Abstract

This study describes the understanding of the people of Nagari Koto Tuo, IV Nagari District, The Sijunjung Regency about divorce (talak) outside the Religious Court. Ideally, with the enactment of Law No. I of 1974 on marriage, talak should be decided in the Religious Court. However, this ideal procedure does not apply effectively in Nagari Kuto Tuo. Although the local settlement is not distant to the local Religious Court and the access for transportation is easy, many husbands recklessly decide to divorce their wives at home during the dispute between them without registering their lawsuits to the court. The purpose of this study is to lower the off-court divorce rate and raise legal awareness of the public about the importance of following the prevailing regulation regarding divorce in Indonesia. This is important because divorces decided without statutory procedures have adverse impacts, especially for women and children. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the divorced wives being the subject of the study. The data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity techniques follow the triangulation method, whereas data analysis is performed through the following steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. This study found that the understanding of the people in Nagari Koto Tou about divorce is shaped by classical Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) that posits husband to have the absolute right to divorce. With this absolute right, husbands can decide to divorce their wives whenever and wherever they want without being bothered to consider registering it formally to the local Religious Court. The divorced wives are left in despair without any power to defend her right. This provision on divorce is considered indisputable let alone contested. As a consequence, this off-court divorce generally leaves women traumatized, making many of them unwilling to get another marriage. This trauma partly contributes to the number of off-court marriages, for they do not see its importance. Legal certainty obtained from the court's verdict of divorce as recorded by the divorce certificate is deemed unnecessary, for they would not remarry in the future
