Abstract

This study aims to describe the food of the archipelago in the collection of poetry Sarinah by Esha Tegar Putra with a gastrocritical approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The data source in this study is a collection of Sarinah poems by Esha Tegar Putra published by the publisher PT Grasindo, Jakarta in 2016. The data in this study are in the form of words and sentences in a collection of Sarinah poems by Esha Tegar Putra which represent elements of gastronomy or Nusantara food in poetry. The data collection and research process was carried out with the following steps: (1) reading the data was done by reading the entire contents of the data source, namely a collection of Sarinah poems by Esha Tegar Putra; (2) identify data that represents the gastronomic elements or food of the archipelago in the Sarinah poetry collection by Esha Tegar Putra; (3) codifying data to facilitate the process of data analysis; (4) analyzing data by displaying data quotes and then analyzing it using a gastrocritical approach; (5) draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate that in the collection of poetry Sarinah by Esha Tegar Putra there is a representation of Indonesian food.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the phonemic correspondence formula from the Melayu Langkat and Melayu Makasar languages. The method in this study uses the language grouping method with phonemic correspondence techniques.  Melayu Langkat and Melayu Makasar language are languages derived from the same family, namely the Austronesian family. As result, the phonemic correspondence formula can be seen between the Melayu Langkat and Melayu Makasar languages showing regular phonemic forms of correspondence in the form of vowels and consonants. The phonemic correspondence formulas in Melayu Langkat and Melayu  Makasar languages obtained are: /n~ŋ/, /m~ŋ/, /i~e/, /o~u/, /e~a/, /t~?/, /t~k/, /Ť~Ď/, /e~ә/

Abstract

Film Imperfect: Karier, Cinta, dan Timbangan karya Ernest Prakasa memuat berbagai bentuk tuturan perundungan mempermalukan bentuk tubuh orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk ekspresi tindak tutur ilokusi yang bermuatan perundungan, bentuk tuturan perundungan, dan latar belakang perundungan yang terjadi pada film. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tindak tutur ilokusi Searle. Metode penyediaan data menggunakan metode simak dan teknik catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode padan dan metode agih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tindak tutur ilokusi ditemukan tiga bentuk ilokusi, yaitu tindak tutur asertif “mengeluh” dan “menyatakan”, tindak tutur deklaratif “merekomendasikan”, “meminta”, “menasihati”, “menuntut”, dan “memerintah”, dan tindak tutur ekspresif “menyindir” dan “mengejek”; (2) bentuk tuturan perundungan terdiri dari tuturan deklaratif, integoratif, dan imperatif; dan (3) latar belakang tuturan perundungan dipengaruhi oleh standar kecantikan yang melekat pada masyarakat.

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative. The method of providing data used is the library method, using listening, reading, and note-taking techniques. The data source was obtained from the news text of the Central Java Ministry of Religion Regional Office's online news site. As a research in the form of a library method, the data sources of this study took six news texts that were considered representative. The text criteria selected as data sources are news texts that contain the use of cohesion and are limited to news related to leadership activities within the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java which will take place in 2021. This study uses discourse analysis that focuses on cohesion. The results of this study are the use of lexical cohesion in the text. The use of means of lexical cohesion include repetition, synonymy, antonym, collocation, hyponymy, and equivalence. The means of lexical cohesion in the text used by the author function to emphasize the stressed word, clarify the meaning of the sentence, and achieve the aspect of discourse cohesion.

Abstract

This study aims to describe representation of the value of tolerance in the animation film Somat’s Family episode "Kartini’s Day". Qualitative descriptive research method used in this study. The data is taken from the animation film Somat’s Family episode "Kartini’s Day". Research approach used  semiotics approach, especially communication semiotics from John Fieske on representation theory. Data  analysis focuses on three levels of representation, namely  level of reality, level of representation, and  level of ideology. The results show that at the level of reality tolerance is represented in the form of appearance, make-up, costumes, and behavior of the characters who respect differences. The technical representation level uses close up, two angle shots, medium shots, and long shots techniques. Bright lighting is used to indicate a happy felling of the character. The editing section uses continuity editing. The voice code consists of  dialogues of the characters. Conventional representation codes consist of characters who respect differences, actions and dialogues of characters which show respect for different cultures or opinions. At ideological level, animation series  Somat’s Family episode “Kartini Day” consist of  ideology of tolerance and respect for different cultures. The ideology of pluralism was also revealed which was then united in the concept of Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

Abstract

This article aims to represent the color purple in Alice Walker's novel The Color Purple. This article uses the semiotic study of Charles Sanders Pierce. The process of meaning according to Pierce is divided into three stages, namely the absorption of the signifier (representament), the appointment of the representamen on the object and the interpretation of the further (interpretant). This paper also uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the research in this paper indicate that the researcher found a signifier (representament) of the word "Ungu" which refers to objects in the form of pants (icon) and letters (index), as well as woman and God as symbols. At the final interpretation stage in the novel which can lead to freedom (rheme) as an interpretant. These signs are scattered in the form of words, phrases, and sentences contained in the novel. Based on the signs that have been collected, it can provide an understanding of the picture of black women's lives that tend to lead to social problems, namely freedom.

Abstract

Mitos kecantikan membentuk konsep “cantik” seolah benar ada secara objektif universal, seolah menjadi sesuatu yang alamiah dan diperlukan. Pada film Imperfact: Karier, Cinta, dan Timbangan (2019) karya Ernest Prakarsa dikisahkan tokoh bernama Rara yang mengalami konflik dengan konsep kecantikan ideal yang dihadirkan oleh orang-orang sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mitos kecantikan dan tubuh perempuan dalam film dengan memperhatikan unsur naratif dan sinematografi, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori mitos kecantikan Naowi Wolf (2004). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mitos kecantikan dan tubuh perempuan tergambar oleh kontruksi para tokoh dengan karakter ciri fisik dan penampilan diri, serta adanya Professional Beauty Qualification (PBQ) di lingkungan kerja. Kontruksi narasi mitos tersebut di dalam film dilakukan bukan hanya oleh tokoh perempuan tetapi tokoh laki-laki juga.

Abstract

BKKBN Official Online Seminar is a platform aimed to give information and educate people, the millenial in particular, about planned family. This study is analyzed speech on BKKBN Official Online Seminar themed " Prevent Stunting for Well Generation and HPV Vaccination before Marriage Protected Together". The source of data is speech that containing Searle's illocution speech act. The objective of this study is to describe types of illocution speech ach found in BKKBN Official Online Seminar. Method uses in this study is scrutinize and taking notes. Results of this study are two types of representative speech act, four types of directive speech act, three types of expressive speech act, one type of comissive speech act and declarative speech act. The result found that representative speech act is dominated because BKKBN online seminar loads speech binding with truth supporting by facts and data.

Abstract

There are three suggestions regarding teaching techniques related to the hemispheres, namely: creating a learning environment, varied, and real educational experience, trying to help students overcome their fear of learning. challenging environments and condition students to combine information into their memories by processing it. Animation as learning media are that animated films can create a deep impression for teachers or students, the sounds and movements displayed are visualizations of reality, according to the material presented in the lesson. With interpretation techniques, animation become a medium that can then activate the right hemisphere function, especially for 6th semester students of the Japanese language study program at Dian Nuswantoro University regarding the use of verbal sentence patterns jidoushi+iru and tadoushi+aru which always appear every year as a discussion of Minnano's book. Nihongo II.The result is this animated video the author makes can meet the standard of visual animation as a learning medium

Abstract

Tradisi penjamasan pusaka Sunan Kalijaga contains an interesting lexicon to study. Understanding the meaning of the lexicon is only known to a few speakers. This study aims to determine the lingual form lexical meaning and cultural meaning lexicon in the text tradisi penjamasan pusaka Sunan Kalijaga. The theory used to explain this study is anthropolinguistic theory by Alessandro Duranti. The methods for collecting data are interviews and literature studies. The presentation of the results of data analysis is informal. The results of this study reveals that the lexicon in tradisi penjamasan pusaka Sunan Kalijaga has meaning as prayer, hope and teachings in life. In addition, the lexicon in tradisi penjamasan Pusaka Sunan Kalijaga has the value of the relationship between human and God, the relationship between humans and humans, the relationship between humans and nature and humans with themselves. All of lexicon is the reflection of the people’s culture in Demak Regency.
