Abstract

The research aims to: (1) determine the commodity horticulture sub-sector of seasonally and superior / base and non-superior / non-base annual and vegetable types in Muaro Jambi Regency during 2014 to 2018; (2) knowing the commodity horticulture sub-sector annual and annual vegetable and fruit types that have fast growth and good competitiveness in Muaro Jambi Regency from 2014 to 2018. Data used secondary data from 2014 to 2018. Analysis tools used in this research are Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share. The results of the study inform that (1). Commodities of seasoned vegetables and fruits are long beans, eggplant, beans, cucumbers, spinach and watermelons, which are not superior / non-base are Chinese cabbage / mustard greens, large chillies, cayenne pepper, tomatoes and kale. Commodities of types of vegetables and fruits of superior / base year are duku and pineapple, which are not superior / non-base are durian, siam oranges, mango, jackfruit, papaya, banana, rambutan and sapodilla (2). Types of vegetables and fruits that have a fast growth are Chinese cabbage, long beans, cayenne pepper, eggplant, green beans, cucumber, kale, spinach. Types of vegetables and annual fruits that have fast growth are duku, durian, tangerine, mango, jackfruit, papaya, banana, rambutan, sapodilla. Types of vegetables and annual fruits that have competitiveness are long beans, large chili, cayenne pepper, watermelon. Types of vegetables and annual fruits that have competitiveness are duku, durian, jackfruit, rambutan.

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country that produces various kinds of crackers, for example cassava crackers, fish crackers and so forth. Jambi City has done a lot of fish processing activities in a processing unit in Jambi City generally processing fish into crackers. In 2017 there were 128 cracker processing units with 184 workers, with the most fish cracker processors in Danau Teluk District as many as 57 units and Pelayangan District 64 processing units with a variety of processed fish based on river, lake, or aquaculture, to increase added value. This study aims to determine (i) find out the process of processing fish into fish crackers in Jambi City (ii) To analyze the added value obtained from processing fish crackers in Jambi City, (ii) To analyze any factors affecting the added value of crackers fish. know the process of fish cracker processing, know the value of fish cracker value added can be done by using the formula contained in the hayami method, knowing the factors that influence the value using multiple linear regression analysis methods, the results of the study indicate the area of ​​research is the center of fish crackers typical of Seberang City , the production process is carried out twice a week, the production capacity of 6.57 per production with raw materials used cork fish and lamb fish as raw material for fish crackers added value of Rp.24,917 in agro-industry is quite high and the regression results obtained that the factor factors affecting the value added ratio of raw materials and fish species in agro-industry together have a significant effect on value added.

Abstract

Coconut farming in the East Tanjung Jabung Regency, especially around the East Coast Mangrove Forest Nature Reserve has links to one another. This research aims to 1) Describe the deep coconut farming.2) Analyze the income of the deep coconut farming. 3) Analyzing the sustainability status of coconut farming in the vicinity of the East Coast Mangrove Forest Nature Reserve Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency from the ecological, economic and social dimensions. This research was conducted in four sub-districts around the Mangrove Forest East Coast Nature Reserve namely Mendahara District, Kuala Jambi District, Muara Sabak Timur District and Nipah Panjang District in July to September 2019. Coconut farming income for each farmer around the East Coast Mangrove Forest Reserve Rp. 2,676,011 / month is greater than UMR Jambi Province in 2019, the income of coconut farming in having an economically sustainable. The level of sustainability of coconut farming in which is based on a multidimensional sustainability index shows a fairly sustainable value with a value of 52.01. Based on that, it can be said that the coconut farming in the vicinity of the East Coast Mangrove Forest Nature Reserve is quite sustainable, where in terms of ecology, economy and social benefits for the community and does not cause harm to the environment. The most prominent or sensitive attribute to the sustainability of the ecological dimension is the cropping pattern and crop rejuvenation, the economic dimension is the development of coconut prices and the availability of inputs at the local level, for social dimensions, namely how to open land and community social activities.

Abstract

The research purposed to analyze: (1)To describe the development of coffee plantation production in Merangin Regency, (2) To describe the development of the production of the ground coffee processing industry in Merangin Regency, (3) To analyze the role of coffee plantations in driving the regional economy in Merangin Regency in terms of labor aspects , (4) To analyze the role of the ground coffee processing industry in driving the regional economy in Merangin Regency in terms of labor aspects, (5) To analyze the relationship between coffee plantation production and the development of the ground coffee processing industry in Merangin Regency. The data used are secondary data. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, contribution analysis, location quotient analysis, multiplier effect analysis, shift share analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. This research was conducted in Merangin Regency as the research area and Jambi Province as the reference area. From the research results, it can be seen that the development of coffee plantation production and the ground coffee processing industry in Merangin Regency shows positive developments every year. Coffee plantations account for 5.85 percent and 0.020 percent of the ground coffee processing industry. Coffee plantation is a basic sector while the ground coffee processing industry is a non-base sector in Merangin Regency. With a ME value of 17.52 for coffee plantations and 6.44 for the ground coffee processing industry. From the results of the shift share analysis of coffee plantations, it is found that RPr is positive and RPs are negative. Meanwhile, the results of the shift share analysis of the ground coffee processing industry showed that RPr and RPs were positive. There is a positive relationship between coffee plantation production and the development of the ground coffee processing industry.

Abstract

CPO is the world main vegetable oil that has the highest production and consumption levels compared to other major vegetable oils. The high level of world consumption of CPO is because in addition to higher production, CPO also has the lowest price compared to other major vegetable oils. Indonesia as the largest CPO exporter in the world makes a major contribution to meeting the world's vegetable oil needs. Indonesia exports CPO to six major importing countries, namely India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and Italy. However, Indonesia's CPO export activities fluctuated to six major importing countries. Indonesia's CPO has the potential to be developed, but also has obstacles in the form of non-tariff barriers in the form of a CPO black campaign from the European Union. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of Indonesian CPO exports in the six main importing countries, and analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian CPO and countries that are optimistic and potential for the development of Indonesian CPO exports in the six main importing countries. This study uses time series data from 1991 - 2020. The methods used are RCA, EPD, X-Model. The results of the study during the period 1991 - 2020 showed that the average development of Indonesian CPO exports fluctuated and tended to increase in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and Italy, and fluctuated tended to decrease in the Netherlands. Indonesian CPO has strong competitiveness in the six main importing countries, is in a rising star position in the India, Malaysia, Spain and Italy markets, is in a falling star position in the Singapore market and is in a retreat position in the Dutch market. CPO exports have an optimistic market development potential in the Indian, Malaysian, Spanish, Italian markets and a potential market development potential in the Singapore market.

Abstract

In an effort to increase national rice, it is known that rice reserves in Indonesia have experienced a shortage. Farmers are required to participate in building national food strength through increased productivity. The Bullying Without Lies Program is one of the efforts of the East Tanjung Jabung District Government to achieve the target of achieving sustainable self-sufficiency through increasing productivity/production. The success of a program is irnfluernced by interrnal and external factors of farmers in the field. The research that will be conducted is expected to provide feedback information on farmers' understanding of the application of technological for the Bullying Without Lies Program Farming for Rice Field Farming as an effort to increase rice productivity/production. This research takes place in East Tanjung Jabung Regerncy and the object of research is all members of farmer groups who carry out or participate in the Bullying Without Lies Program in East Tanjung Jabung District. The sampling technique used was by random sampling, so that the respondents in this study where 87 farmers. The results of the study using descriptive analysis and SEM (Structural Equation Model) using the PLS program showed that the interrnal and external factors of farmers and characteristics of innovation on the application of technology to the Bullying Without Lies Program were in the good category with the value of Q² (95.52%). The results of the path analysis show that the internal factors of farmers and external factors of farmers have a significant and significant effect on the variable of technology application of the Bullying Without Lies Program through the moderating variable of innovation characteristics of 0.772

Abstract

This researchaims aims to (1) to find out the description of the condition of the KUD that is still active in Sungai Bahar and South Bahar Subdistricts, Muaro Jambi Regency South Bahar. (2) Knowing the effect of business volume, number of members and own capital on the acquisition of the remaining operating results in KUD in Sungai Bahar and South Bahar Districts. The object of research is KUD which is still active in conducting Annual Member Meetings and has a business unit other than marketing Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB), savings and loans. This research was conducted from September to October 2017. The data used is secondary data obtained directly from cooperatives through books, archives related to Business Remaining for 5 years from 2012 to 2016 and from the UMKM Department and the Muaro Regency Industry and Trade Cooperative Service Jambi and other related literature. KUDs taken as samples are KUD ​​Mekar Sari, KUD Tandan Buah Segar, KUD Selikur Makmur, KUD Sumber Makmur, KUD Sri Rejeki and KUD Dwi Jaya on the consideration that the six KUDs are still active in conducting Annual Member Meetings and have other business units besides marketing FFB and savings and Loan. The results showed that (1) KUDs that were still active in Sungai Bahar Subdistrict were 5 KUDs from 11 existing KUDs and 5 KUDs that were still active in the South Bahar District of the 7 KUDs that were available. KUDs that are no longer active are caused by no longer routinely performing RATs, misappropriation of cooperative funds and declining member participation due to internal conflicts with members of the cooperative management. (2) From the results of multiple linear analysis, the business volume variable does not significantly affect the acquisition of operating results with value. probability of 0.2296 means that it is greater than the real level of 0.05, this is due to the high level of credit of members in the cooperative and not paying credit debt on time and the amount that has been determined, the variable number of members and own capital together have a real effect regarding the acquisition of operating results with a probability value of 0.0002 and 0.0003, respectively.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the farmer attitude on using stimulant on the rubber plant at Rimbo Bujang district, Tebo Regency and also to find the relationship between their attitude and the result that they got. The research started from early Marc to April 2018. Things that observed here consist of cognitive, affective, and conative. Harry King said that to calculat various sample fro 5 to 15 % so we have to use Slovin method and the resercher stated that the 15% of false from 533 so there was only 76 respondents. The data analysis used in this research are descriptive and cuantitative method by chi-square statistict on 2x2 contigency tabel with 5% bias. The result of data analysis showed that the farmer attitude on using stimulat for their rubber plants has proven positively and there's also have significant relationship between the using stimulant and their attitude by result thit = 8,06 > ttab = 1,66571 so reject H0 receive by H1. It means that there's a significant relationship between farmer's attitude on using stimulant on the rubber plants in Rimbo Bujang district Tebo Regency in real.

Abstract

This research aimed ; 1) to know the factors affecting the farmers in farming rice field in the village of Pulau Aro, Merangin District, 2) to know the status of sustainability of farming rice field in the village of Pulau Aro, Merangin District, 3) to analyze the influence between factors and sustainability of farming rice field in the village of Pulau Aro, Merangin District. Data collecting method wastaken from primary and secondary data. Determining the location was chosen purposely (purposive sample) by considering that Pulau Aro had unique traditions or habits in farming rice field while the respondents were done by simple random sampling with 67 respondents who joined into farmer group. The data were processed and analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis to know the status of sustainability of farmingrice field, and then described to know the sustainability status of farming rice field. Result of multiple linear regression analysis that described the sustainability status of farming rice filed was that overall ecological aspects, social aspects and economic aspects were in a less sustainable category with R-Squared value of 53.24%. If viewed from each aspect, the social aspect was in a fairly sustainable category because the trainers were active in giving information and the farmers also participated in farmer group sactivities. While ecological aspects were less sustainable because farmers tended to use chemical drugs in fertilization and eradication of pests and rice diseases, while from the economic aspect of rice field was in the category of less sustainable because the production of farmers in rice field had not fulfilled the needs of farmers.

Abstract

Household Expenditure Allocation consists of various expenditures that form a pattern in which many factors influence it. This research was aimed to analyze (1) farmer household social economic characteristics and patterns of household expenditure rubber farmers in Bajubang Sub-district. (2) factors affecting household expenditure of rubber farmers in Bajubang Sub-district. The data were analyzed in descriptive method, tabulation and simultaneous equations model by the method of Two Stage Least Squares (2SLS). Sampling was done by simple random sampling method. The results showed that the age of farmers in Bajubang Sub-district was in productive age with low average education level and sufficient experience in rubber farming with farmers owning an area of ​​2.5 ha. Total household expenditure of rubber farmers is 98.6 percent of total revenue, which consists of total consumption of 83.5 percent and investment of 14.9 percent. The cost of farm production and land area have a positive effect on production. Non-food expenditure and the number of family members have a positive effect on food consumption. Total household income has a positive effect on non-food consumption. Total household income and the number of family members have a positive effect on health investment, while health investment and number of school children have a positive effect on education investment.
