Abstract

Ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perikanan yang terdapat di perairan Pantai Utara, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Pola pemanfaatan yang bersifat eksploratif dikhawatirkan akan mempengaruhi jumlah populasi ikan tersebut di Pantai Utara. Dikhawatirkan pada masa yang akan datang kehidupan ikan tongkol akan terancam, baik berupa kepunahan maupun degradasi genetis. Untuk mencegah punahnya spesies ikan yang masih ada di Pantai Utara tersebut dibutuhkan suatu upaya pelestarian melalui pengelolaan dan pelestarian ikan tongkol secara terpadu, dengan memperhatikan aspek penangkapan, habitat, dan budidaya agar potensinya dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan lestari. Untuk mendukung kegiatan pengelolaan ikan tongkol di perairan Pantai Utara, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara diperlukan informasi diantaranya aspek-aspek biologi dan ekologi. Salah satu aspek biologi yang perlu dikaji adalah preferensipakan ikan tongkol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Januari– April 2016, di Temkuna Kelurahan Humusu Wini Kecamatan Insana Utara Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui preferensi pakan ikan tongkol (Euthynnusaffinis) di perairan Pantai Utara Timor Tengah Utara. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Jumlah sampel ikan yang diambil sebanyak 10% dari total hasil tangkapan nelayan. Analisis laboratorium dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Universitas Timor. Analisis data meliputi panjang dan berat total, panjang usus relatif, frekuensi kejadian, dan indeks bagian terbesar. Jumlah ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) yang diamati selama penelitian adalah sebanyak 180 ekor, terdiri dari 108 ekor makanannya adalah ikan-ikan kecil (ikan teri), 55 ekor makanannya adalah udang-udang kecil, dan 17 ekor makanannya adalah ikan teri dan udang-udang kecil dengan panjang total berkisar antara 17-38 cm dan berat total berkisar antara 49-824 gram. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the tree and pole-level plant species found in the Oereu Protected Forest Bani-Bani Village Io Kufeu District of Malacca District, To find out the structure and composition of tree-level plant vegetation and poles found in the Oereu Protected Forest in the Bani-Bani Village District of Io Kufeu District of Malacca, and To implement research on the structure and composition of tree and pole level vegetation in the Oereu Protection Forest of Desa Bani-Bani District of Io Kufeu District of Malacca in learning biology in schools. The method used in this study is the quadratic method by placing a plot beside the transect line. At each transect line, 5 observation plots were placed with the size of each plot 20 mx 20 m = 400 m2 for tree level, and 10 mx 10 m = 100 m2 for pole level, with a distance between plots 25 m. analyzing the structure and composition of tree-level vegetation, and poles found at research sites, namely by calculating absolute density, relative density, absolute frequency, relative frequency, basal area, relative basal area, and important value index. The results of the study were found as many as 13 types of plants consisting of 11 families. When looking at the importance value index at tree level vegetation, the highest important value index is Tectona grandis, L, 57.35%, while the one with the lowest important value index is Alstonia scholaris, L 13.22%, and at pole level vegetation, the index value the highest importance is Tectona grandis, L, 36.33%, while the one with the lowest important value index is Leucena lenccophalla, 16.25%. The type of vegetation that has the highest important value index is because it has a fairly high distribution ability and can adapt well to its environment.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop ethnics-based science learning modules that have the feasibility to be used after validation. The research method uses the Borg & Gall development model which consists of 8 stages, namely a preliminary study stage, a research planning stage, a design development stage, a limited field test stage, a revised stage of the results of a limited field test stage, a broad trial phase, a revision stage of the trial results from wider field and the final product stage. This research is limited to the develop stage, namely the feasibility of the module. The instrument used was a questionnaire for module eligibility. The research subjects were 3 lecturers of Islamic religious institutes consisting of 1 language expert lecturer, 1 material expert lecturer, and 1 media expert lecturer. The data from the questionnaire analysis by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of achievement criteria for the feasibility of learning modules based on ethnics-based science developed is suitable for use with a percentage of 88%, 77.5%, 87.5% (very feasible, feasible, and very feasible categories). From the results of these data, it can be concluded that the module is feasible to be used as teaching material in supporting the teaching and learning process on environmental pollution material.

Abstract

The research subjects were 3 lecturers from Bengkulu State Islamic Institute which consisted of 1 language expert lecturer, 1 material expert lecturer, and 1 media expert lecturer. The results of the questionnaire analysis data by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of achievement of the eligibility criteria of the science learning module based on ethnoscience that was developed is suitable for use with a percentage of 92.00%, 76.25%, 86.25% (the category is very feasible, feasible, and very worthy). From the results of these data, it can be concluded that the module is feasible to be used as teaching material in supporting the teaching and learning process on the material interaction of living things with their environment in junior high school for class VII.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of learning interest on the students’ learning achievement by using the TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) method on the material of world of plants. The research was designed with Classroom Action Research (CAR) Khemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of research were the students of class X1 of Pangudi Luhur High School Yogyakarta in the 2012-2013 academic years with 35 total numbers of students. The instruments of data collection are tests and non-tests. The percentage of students' interest reached 83.34% and the average of the increase of the students’ learning achievement in the cognitive aspect from cycle I to cycle II was 40.3 to 57.63. The finding showed that the learning interest affected the students’ learning achievement in the cognitive aspect, when the students’ interest in learning is high, the learning achievement will increase.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the spread of herbal vegetation in the environment of the campus environment of UNWIRA Penfui Kupang, by applying vegetation parameters including density, relative density, frequency, relative frequency, dominance, relative dominance, Importance Value Index (INP), and Comparison Important Value (SDR). The method used in this study is the quadratic method, with the determination of the sampling point divided into two observation stations, based on open and sheltered areas with each station there are 5 observation plots with a size of 1x1 m2. The results of research conducted in the environment of the campus environment of UNWIRA Penfui Kupang found 7 types of herbal plants namely Solanum nigrum, Mussaenda frondosa, Oplismenus hirtellus, Amaranthus viridis, Eclipta L, Bidens pilosa, Imperata cylindrical and the composition of the highest number of individuals were Oplismenus hirtellus. The amount of diversity index value of basket grass plants (Oplismenus hirtellus) is 0.146 with a large amount of basket grass plants tend to be more stable compared to the other 6 plants found. Index value of vegetation diversity of herbaceous plants obtained is 0.782, so species diversity is lacking.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the growth and decomposition ability of wood rot fungi in reducing of hemicellulose. The study used seven fungal isolates of wood rot fungi which were inoculated into organic substrate and incubated for 30 days. The growth of fungi on the organic substrate was observed and the decrease level of hemicellulose by using the Van Soest method was analyzed. The results showed that the fastest growth of fungal isolates was seen in JM isolates that filled all organic substrates and then MKS, KSH, B, KSB, E and C isolates. The most effective hemicellulose decomposition was obtained from MKS isolates which was 79.69%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the composition of species, diversity, and density of ferns in the Forest area of ​​Tanglapui Village, East Alor District, Alor Regency. To make observations and divide the study site into 4 stations, namely: stasium 1 east, stasium 2 south, stasium 3 north, and stasium 4 western parts, which contained nail plants (pteridophyta). At each station two observation plots were installed for sampling. Placement of the observation plot using purposive sampling by determining the starting point and installing a plot measuring 20 m long and 10 m wide. Every nail plant found at the study site was recorded. The data obtained is then processed to see the number of nail species found, the abundance of each fern, and the index of diversity of ferns using the Shannon-Wiener diversity formula. The results showed that 22 species of ferns were found, namely Diplazium esculentum, Cyathea contaminans, Lygodium venustum sw, Drynaria quercifolia, Platycerium bifurcatum, Microsorum punctatum, Equisetum debile, Pteris biaurita L, Pytirogramma calomelanos, Polypodium virginianum sp. cuneatum, Pteris cretica L, Davallia denticulate, Asplenium attenuatum, Psilotum nudum L, Marsilia polycarpa, Pteris vittata, Nephrolepis biserrata, Pyrrosia piloselloidesi L MG, Macrothelipteris torresiana. One of the ferns that dominates the tanglapui forest area is Cyathea contaminans with a total of 509 individuals with a density of 0.32 individuals / m2. The value of diversity in the lowland tanglapui forests is 0.77.

Abstract

Collembola is one of soil organism which classified as mesofauna. This reseach is aims to study the abundance and distribution patterns of Collembola on three types of land utilization in Banjar District, South Kalimantan Province. This research was conducted on April 2020 by using a purposive sampling method. Based on results of Collembola identification obtained at the sampling location, there are 12 genera, 6 families, and 2 orders of Collembola. The highest abundance is found in oil palm plantations. While the Collembola distribution pattern on the three types of land clearing is the same, which is clustering. The results of this study are expected to provide information on the study of abundance and distribution patterns of Collembola in South Kalimantan Province related to environmental factors also help in carrying out sustainable ecosystem development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan higher order thinking skill peserta didik dan Self Regulation peserta didik Biologi. Peneliti menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristik dan kelas kontrolnya diberikan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara acak kelas, sampel yang digunakan di kelas XI MIA 4 dan XI MIA 6. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: tes dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal essay Higher Order Thinking Skills dan angket Self Regulation. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah didapat bahwa dalam uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji MANOVA tersebut didapatkan hasil dengan sig 0,000, dapat dikatakan adanya pengaruh terhadap model pembelajaran apabila hasil dari uji hipotesis memiliki signifikan< 0,05. Dalam hal ini penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti dapat menjawab seluruh rumusan masalah yang telah ditentukan pada hasil uji hipotesis pada rumusan masalah dengan memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Terdapat pengaruh model LAPS-Heuristik Higher Order Thinking Skills dan Self Regulation biologi kelas XI.
