Abstract

Since Covid-19 entered Indonesia, this has had a major impact in various sectors including the education sector. The government has responded responsively since March 2020 to begin distance learning (PJJ). This is done with the aim of inhibiting the spread of the covid-19 virus. The purpose of this research itself is to determine the effectiveness of using online media in distance learning (PJJ) in the non-formal education sector at PKBM Nurul Islam. This study uses the Pieces Framework method which has 6 related indicators, namely performance, information, control / security, efficiency, and service. This study uses a questionnaire via google form which is given online to students. Based on the data obtained through several respondents as a random sample, most of the data obtained by most of the respondents on average support and assess that distance learning is effective for students in PKBM Nurul Islam.

Abstract

The impact of migration in the digital world does not escape the process of improvement in government bodies. The presence of E-Government provides better public services, the internal effectiveness of government organizations is increasing, and public access to information in a government environment is getting easier. Responding to the need for the realization of good governance and improving the quality of public services in North Lombok Regency, investment in the procurement of goods and services from manual to electronic which is called e-procurement is encouraged. E-Procurement is a form of innovation by the North Lombok Regency Government in realizing e-Government. This research was conducted at the electronic procurement service (LPSE) North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The informants in this study were LPSE apparatus of North Lombok Regency, vendors and users of goods and services. Data analysis conducted in this study was to analyse the results of observations, interviews, and documentation obtained from the study. Research results Optimizing e-procurement system services in the process of procuring goods and services for the sake of realizing good governance in North Lombok Regency is in accordance with applicable principles including effectiveness and efficiency principles, participant principles, transparency principles and accountability principles are properly implemented by LPSE North Lombok to achieve good governance. In addition to the above principles, there is also a theory put forward by Edward in realizing good governance including communication, this has been done well by North Lombok LPSE; Resources, this is regarding financial resources that have been done well but in terms of human resources it is still not optimal; Disposition, in this case, LPSE Lombok Utara has run well where the leadership, staff and vendors have the same vision and mission; Bureaucracy and structure, in this case LPSE Lombok Utara, has implemented a good structure for the division of tasks for each staff

Abstract

An organization based on marketing, sales hospitality is one of the spearheads of the company, so human resources play an important role. Valentin (2015) states that human resources are a factor that shows competitive advantage. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of LMX, job satisfaction and communication on interest in quitting work based on gender. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a population of SPB and SPG in the Surakarta City area with 250 respondents as the sample. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to obtain data about LMX, job satisfaction, communication and interest in quitting work. The results of the analysis conducted show that there is a positive and significant relationship between LMX on job satisfaction, communication and interest in quitting work. From the results of the analysis it is also shown that there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and communication on the interest in quitting work. Gender differences also have a positive and significant effect in influencing the relationship between work papacy and communication on interest in quitting work.

Abstract

Currently, women play an active role in operational implementation. Therefore, women are also required to spend most of their time working. Of course this will create a dual role conflict for women as a housewife and also as a person who works. Apart from that, social life also has its own demands in daily life. This research was conducted at the Secretariat Office of the Traditional Village of Legian. This office is located at Jl. Legian No. 447, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali Province. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with case studies. The informants in this study were the Head of the Traditional Village of Legian, the Head of Governmental Affairs for the Traditional Village of Legian and 8 Balinese women workers who were married and had children. Data analysis conducted in this study was to analyze the results of observations, interviews, and documentation obtained from the study. The results showed several things that could lead to multiple role conflicts experienced by female employees, including the lack of or even no time for family which ultimately resulted in neglect of household chores, neglect of children and even husbands; the absence of time to socialize which results in women not socializing with neighbours and can make relations with neighbours not harmonious; the use of holidays for work so that when the holidays that should be used and spent with the family are instead used for work which makes all preparations for the holidays not optimal; problems in work that often carry over to the house; problems in the family, and complaints from family members regarding the work undertaken by female employees and the absence of support from the closest people, either husband, parents-in-law or parents.

Abstract

The researchers are tried to identify the meaning of beauty in Rare Beauty video advertisement. The data of this study were taken from one video on Rare Beauty Instagram account. Observation method was conducted in collecting the data through documentation and note-taking technique. The data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative method. The researchers used theory of meaning proposed by Barthes (1967) to identify the meaning of beauty in Rare Beauty video advertisement. The researchers found three meaning of beauty in Rare Beauty Video Advertisement. The first meaning of beauty is everyone is beautiful with their own uniqueness and there is no such a standard to consider as beauty. The second meaning of beauty is when the women are confident in expressing their beauty they will be happy. The third is everyone is different and the difference has to consider as the uniqueness so the women have to be confident because they are special. The last meaning of beauty is all women are beautiful with their skin tones, shapes and styles. Whatever their skin tones, their styles, they don’t need to compare themselves to the others because they are beauty in their own way.

Abstract

The phenomenon of code switching and code mixing is one of the various social contexts that can help in interaction and communication process, from one language to another, especially Indonesian-English. The study concerns are an attempt to understand the code switching and code mixing in the novel Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere Liye. The study uses the discriptive qualitative research method. It means that it describes clearly the fact of code switching and code mixing  based on the data that gained through reading the whole contain of the novel. The data was taken from episodes 23 until episodes 48 in the novel Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere Liye. The method used in collecting the data is library research method. The researcher reads the novel intensively to find out the data that suitable with the study and observing the utterance produced by the characters in the novel. For analyzing the data researcher applying the theory by Hoffmann (1991) and Muysken (2000). The result concludes code switching intention of clarifying the speech content for interlocutor and code mixing congruent lexicalization is dominantly used by the characters with 46,03% and 48,80%. Meanwhile, code switching quoting someone's word and type code mixing alternation be the lowest with 0,80% and 1,60%.

Abstract

Abstract- This study has aims; (1) to classify the types of code switching found in Jika Kita Tak Pernah Jadi Apa-Apa novel and (2) to analyze the reasons. It used descriptive qualitative method in order to identify the data. The code switching was described according to theory proposed in Appel and Muysken (1987) namely to classify the types and the theory by Hoffman (1991) to describe the reasons. The result  shows that all types with only 4 reasons for code switching were found in this novel types of code switching which is inter-sentential switching is the most dominant because Alvi looks more comfortable when using words, clauses and phrases in one sentence to convey motivational messages and from the result of the reason of code switching talking about a particular topic is dominant because Alvi Syahrin feels free and more comfortable to express his emotional feelings in a language that is not his everyday language.

Abstract

This study applied the theory of contact language proposed by Romaine (1988) which distinguish three types of code-switching, namely tag switching, inter-sentential switching, and intra-sentential-switching in order to identify the utterances collected from the conversations of Manggarai people in Nusa Dua Bali. The data were collected through listening and recording, transcribed, analysed, before being discussed descriptively. Abstract

This study aims to find out the types of subordinate clause and the most occurring type of subordinate clause which found in Gulliver’s Travels Novel. The quantitative and qualitative method are applied to analysed the data which based on the theory from (Miller, 2002) and supported theory by (Kroeger, 2005). The study found that complement clause, relative clause, and adverbial clause were the types of subordinate clause found in this novel. The complementizers found in the complement clause namely that. In the relative clause, the conjunction found such as which, that, who, whose, whom, how, and Ø. Meanwhile, the conjunctions found in adverbial clause are before, where, when (time), as (manner), although (concession), and if, that (condition). There were total 35 sentences containing subordinate clause found in the novel such as 3 sentences (8,6%) of complement clause, 19 sentences (54,3%) of relative clause, and 13 sentences (37,1%). Therefore, the most occurring type of subordinate clause found in the novel is relative clause as subordinate clause with total 19 sentences (54,3%). Especially, the type of non-restrictive with 15 sentences found.

That way, not a few online business people take advantage of the golden opportunity to use the application. Social Media as a platform to develop their business a through digital content.
