<![CDATA[Communication pattern in marriage has a specific relation to parenting a child with cerebral palsy. It determine their ability to deal with parenting and developing a child. This research is aimed to analyze a link between communication pattern in marriage, communication climate and parenting a child with cerebral palsy. It was done to use quantitative method with the survey that was focusing on an individual spouse that has a child with cerebral palsy. The research found that communication pattern tends a positive simetric type in parenting a child with cerebral palsy. Then, communication climate of spouse that has a child with cerebral palsy is a defensive and supportive. Parenting a child with cerebral palsy that was being found is acceptance.]]>

<![CDATA[PT Galih Estetika Indonesia is a first sweet potato agroindustry company in Indonesia that produces sweet potato paste products by export scale. The increasing demand causes companies to establish partnerships with farmers to meet the needs of raw sweet potatoes as input for production. In establishing partnerships it takes good communication to create relationships that can be used to solve all existing business problems. By using all forms of communication both verbal and nonverbal, then communication can be directed to achieve certain goals. The purpose of this research is to describe picture of partnership and partnership pattern which run by PT Galih Estetika Indonesia and analyze business communication conducted by PT Galih Estetika Indonesia in improving sweet potato partnership. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with data collection technique through in-depth interview, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), and observation. The result of this research shows that the partnership has not run optimally and the communication done by PT Galih Estetika Indonesia does not necessarily only communicate, but also keeps the communication in order not to break, so the business relationship can continue that will impact on the profit earned by the company . Well-established communication able to overcome all problems of raw material availability. All forms of conflict can be resolved by business communication.]]>

<![CDATA[Shallot is one of commodities having high value, so that many farmers are cultivating it but Indonesia still remains as net importer of shallot. The objective of this study is to analyze the communication of government policies towards competitiveness on shallot commodity in the district of Majalengka. The data have been analyzed by the method of the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) to determine the level of profit and competitiveness, as well as the impact of the policy. A total of 37 farmers were selected as respondents by using purposive sampling technique. The result showed that shallot farming in the district of Majalengka was financially profitable but economically unprofitable. The analysis of the competitiveness showed the shallot farming in the district of Majalengka had no competitiveness. The government policy provides protection against the price of shallot. Meanwhile, the government policy towards the input is still a disincentive to farmers. Shallot farmers have to pay more expensive input than they should be. But simultaneously, the government policy on input and output is still supportive for shallot production in the country. Dialogical communication process with the bottom up approach can encourage the successful of implementation of policies to improve the competitiveness of shallot in the district of Majalengka.]]>

<![CDATA[Librarians at the Ministry of Agriculture are civil servants (PNS), who are appointed through a selection process whose duties and positions are governed in functional positions and credit figures based on ministerial regulations on the utilization of the state apparatus and the reform of the Indonesian bureaucracy. The librarian's profession as a civil servant is closely related to how they are able to communicate interpersonally and how it can support their performance as government employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the description of librarians of the ministry of agriculture, to analyze the relationship of librarian characteristics with the competence of interpersonal communication and to analyze the relation of competence of interpersonal communication and librarian performance. As well as analyzing the differences of interpersonal communication and the performance of expert librarians and skilled librarians. The research was conducted at library institution of Ministry of Agriculture with the number of respondents was 72 people. Data collection in the field was conducted during May 2017. The data obtained were processed using descriptive statistics, srearman ranks and chi-square to find relationships between variables. The majority of librarians judge that the competence of their interpersonal communication is in the category of both skilled librarians and expert librarians. Relationship characteristic with interpersonal communication occurs only on indicator of gender relationship to supportiveness and positiveness, formal and norformal education level to Positiveness. Performance has a relationship with interpersonal communication based on credit score only on indicator supportiveness. Overall performance indicators of work behavior assessment are significantly related to interpersonal communication. Empathy, Positiveness and supportiveness of expert and skilled librarians have real differences. While the performance of expert and skilled librarians has no real difference.]]>

<![CDATA[MSME’s in Indonesia are increasingly important in the process of national economic development in Indonesia. The MSME’s institution is considered an important source of job creation and the main driving force of regional economic development in Indonesia. With regard to poverty reduction and unemployment policies, the government continues to commit to building and empowering MSME’s in Indonesia. Improving the work of the perpetrators can be seen after the evaluation of the guidance program MSME’s actors. Implementation of MSME’s development program in forming an ideal MSEE practice is influenced by input, process and output of MSME’s program development. The input factor is measured from the individual characteristics of SME actors, the majority are in the middle adult age, the education is dominated by the SMA level, the average business actor runs less than 10 years and the majority only once training, the process factor is measured from the MSME’s development program; capital assistance including high class, low partnership development, high training and promotion of SME’s in the moderate class while the output factor is seen from the performance of SME’s actors; income levels are moderate, increasing the number of medium consumers, low competition level and low product selling power. The research method used is quantitative research, namely the use of instruments in the form of questionnaires and supported qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews. The result of the research shows that there is no real correlation between individual characteristic and coaching program, beside that individual characteristic also have no correlation with performance of MSME’s actor only at educational level indicator with sales level having relationship, while coaching program has influence with performance improvement of MSME’s actors , it is necessary to evaluate the coaching program so that the future of this program get maximum results in accordance with the government's goal for improvement on the perpetrators of MSME’s.]]>

<![CDATA[This research work was carried out to analyze the utilization of internet as a communication media by Staff of Provincial DKP Secretariat. The population of the study is Staff of Provincial DKP Secretariat in 34 province in Indonesia. Survey method of the research and stratified random sampling were used to select 68 Staff for the study. The data was presented and analyzed in tables and average scores. The research found that internet exposure of Staff of Provincial DKP Secretariat is high. However, its utilization is still low. The research also showed that: (1) individual characteristics (age, period of work, and training) are significantly correlated with internet exposure (frequency and channel variety); (2) motivation (intrinsic motivation) is significantly correlated with internet exposure (duration and the situation of exposure); (3) internet exposure (duration, frequency, and the situation of exposure) are significantly correlated with utilization of internet (communication and coordination).]]>

<![CDATA[This case study aimed to analyze the role of communication in migration decision making process, how did information seeking and meaning construction of fantasy themes encourage migration decision making. The subject of this research was the migrant youth group of Rejosari Village, Yogyakarta. The research was qualitative method using fantasy theme analysis. Fantasy theme is derived from Symbolic Convergence Theory that sees how narration can construct fantasy themes in migrating behavior. This research found that the fantasy themes emerged from the narration constructed a new meaning that is decision making. The group is considered as a credible source of information about migration rather than their families. Although they do not exclude the role of the family on migration decisions. The group has an important role in supporting and sustaining individual decision-making.]]>

<![CDATA[Implementation of village legislation needs the role of organizational communication, especially for organization of village administration in order to realize improved performance and rural development. Organization could run streamlined and successfully with a good communication. The objectives were (1) analyzing the role of organizational communication in the implementation of village legislation to villagers, and (2) finding out the performance improvement of village administration in rural development which is based on the village legislation. The study result showed the role of organizational communication of village administration that related with perception of village officials to village legislation which; the individual characteristics of the village administration officials were: age, gender, education level, and employment, while they werenot related: income level. Village admnistration characteristic that related to perception of village officials to village legislation were: the leadership role, organizational structure and organizational culture. Organizational communication of village administration that related with perception of village officials to village legislation were: communicator, request and media. Government's role as the pioneer of rural development was fully able to in addressing development issues in the village such as the planning of rural development programs, socialization activities in Meunasah and was attended by most villagers, in the village meetings activities were not only socializing by one direction, but public was also given their opportunity to speak as well as their opinion.]]>

<![CDATA[Cultural diversity in Indonesia has positive and negative impacts. Generally, the positive impact is becoming a nation's wealth that could be a capital to unite the nation. In the other hand, the negative impact which occurred if this cultural diversity can not be integrated and well-organized so it will make misinterpret which is ultimately can lead to conflict and discord nation. This study aims to 1) analyze the communication effectiveness, 2) analyze intercultural communication barriers which occurred between Sundanese and non-Sundanese, 3) analyze the influence of intercultural communication barriers on the communication effectiveness between Sundanese and non-Sundanese. The research is located in Tanjungbaru village, Cikarang Timur district, Bekasi Regency considering the number of migrants with diverse ethnics. The methodology of this research was survey research method (explanatory), with the questionnaire as a research instrument, and supported by qualitative data that obtained through in-depth interviews to the informants. The sampling technique that used was simple random sampling with 40 pairs of friends that have different cultures. The statistical analysis used multiple linear regression test that the result showed that there is a significant influence in intercultural communication barriers on communication effectiveness. The most significant influence on the effectiveness communication of the sequential is psychocultural barriers, cultural barriers and environmental barriers.]]>
