Abstract

Prediabetes was a condition where a person has abnormal blood sugar levels but was not yet categorized as diabetes (140-199 mg / dl). The increased incidence of prediabetes affects the increasing number of cases of diabetes, unhealthy diet and irregular exercise models are factors that cause weight problems and blood sugar levels that increase cases of prediabetes to have an impact on diabetes cases. The research purpose was the effect of diet menus and exercise models on reducing blood sugar levels and body weight in the prediabetes group. The method research was the analytical method with the design of quasi-experimental, the population was 20 people, and the sample was total population or sample of 20 people by dividing 2 groups with different interventions, the technique with accidental sampling, and tool with SPSS 20, the data analyzed with independent t test. The result of research was the influence in group jasmine (diet and exercise menu (jogging)) (P value = 0.001 <α = 0.05), and in group rose (diet and exercise menu (casual walk)) (P value = 0.004 <α = 0.05) to reduce blood sugar levels and body weight. The conclusion of research was that the diet control and exercise menu models were able to influence the decrease in blood sugar levels and body weight in the prediabetes group, group a had a more significant effect because of jogging so that more calories burned.

Abstract

Introduction on food sanitation hygiene is an effort to control the factors of food, people, places and equipment that can or may cause illness or health problems. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Analysis of Food Sanitation Hygiene at Sultan Iskandar Muda Regional General Hospital, Nagan Raya Regency. This research is a qualitative study conducted at Sultan Iskandar Muda Regional General Hospital, Nagan Raya Regency, when the research was conducted in January 2019. Research informants as many as 12 people namely, 9 food handlers, 1 program implementer, and 2 patients, taken by purposive sampling. The results showed the overall results of food sanitation hygiene, especially in the room, were quite good because they had storage, cooking and serving food, but still had water deposits because they did not have slope / slope so the floor was slippery, infrastructure was inadequate because of the aids used, PPE that has not been well used, the food is counted pretty good because the storage is separate but certainly not contaminated because the food served is sometimes in direct contact with hands, and HR food handlers are inadequate because each sift consists of three people who process, serve and deliver food. Conclusion sanitation hygiene has been counted as good, however it is necessary to make improvements to be declared good overall. It is recommended to the officers in charge of the hospital to pay more attention to sanitary hygiene, both food and others.

Abstract

Toddler Nutrition Status Is a state of balance or manifestation of nutrition in the form of certain variables. The high incidence of malnutrition in Suka Makmue Subdistrict is centered as the main target in improving nutrition. The objective is to analyze the Knowledge Study of Income and Social Culture Level of Toddler Nutrition status in Blang Muling Village, Suka Makmue Subdistrict, Nagan Raya Regency. This type of research is Analytical Surveys with cross-sectional approach. The total number of samples is 33 mothers of toddlers. Univariate and Bivariate analyzes were further tested with Chi Square. The results after a deeper study of the three variables have an influence on the nutritional status of children under five namely Knowledge (Pvalue 0,000 <α 0.05), income level (Pvalue 0.001 <α 0.05), and socio-cultural (Pvalue 0.003 <α 0.05) . Suggestion Health workers should be more active in delivering information about the importance of the nutritional status of children under five.

Abstract

Body mass index (BMI) is to monitor nutritional status adults, especially those related to deficiency and overweight. Body fat percentage can describe the risk of degenerative diseases.This study was conducted to measure the relationship between BMI and body fat percentage. Methods An analytical study was conducted to 41 male and 51 female participant from Universitas Teuku Umar. The body weight was measured using scales, whereas the body height was measured using microtoise. The body fat percentage was measured using Karada Scan. The BMI was calculated by dividing the body weight in kilogram divided by body height in meter square. Data was collected from 16-18th February 2021 and analyzed by Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed BMI underweight, normal, and overweight were 10,9, 57,6, and 31,5. High body fat percentage in men were 75,6% and in women were 35,5%. There is a relationship between the nutritional status of the women group and the body fat percentage with p-value is obtained = 0.021. Furthermore, for men, there is no relationship between nutritional status in the men group and the body fat percentage. There is a relationship between nutritional status and body fat percentage in women. Among this population, BMI can still be used to determine body fat percentage

Abstract

The prevalence of adolescent obesity has been shown to differ among regions, and it could be influenced by several factors including diet, environmental exposures, and lifestyle. Diet is one of crucial factors that contribute to obesity among adolescents, particularly energy intake. This study was conducted to measure the relationship between energy intake and obesity prevalence among adolescent girls in Aceh Barat Regency. This study is a descriptive analytical research with the design of cross-sectional study. The population in this study were adolescent girls in Aceh Barat Regency with the samples of 50 people. The data were obtained from a one day 24-hour recall and analyzed using Chi-Square test with a significance value (p= 0.05). The result showed that based on bivariate analysis there is a relationship between energy intake and body mass index. The analysis indicated that adolescent girls with excessive energy intake had a 6.67-fold higher risk of obesity than those with the adequate energy intake (OR: 6.67, 95% CI: 1.25-35.65).

Abstract

Children's health and growth are issues that need continuous attention by various parties, such as the government and family. As a result of malnutrition status in infancy can cause growth retardation, causing toddlers to be lazy to do activities related to energy production, disruption of the toddler's immune system so they are susceptible to infectious diseases, inhibited optimal brain growth, and changes in behavior exhibited by toddlers such as not calm, easy crying and its ongoing impact is apathetic behavior. Based on the preliminary survey in the Meurebo Sub-District, West Aceh Regency, there were 4 toddlers suffering from malnutrition and 11 people with underweight nutritional status. The aims of study was to look at the socio-economic relationship with nutritional status of toddlers. This study uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach using a chi-square test with a standard error of 0.05. The population of this study were 46 peoples with those taken based on sample distribution. The results obtained by the value of sig = 0.007 which means smaller than the value of α = 0.05, so it can be concluded a significant relationship between socio-economic and nutritional status of toddler

Abstract

Health care during pre-conception and pregnancy is one of the important factors that can improve pregnancy outcomes. This study aims to explore how pre-conception care, nutrition knowledge and practices, and the factors that influence it in pregnant women. This study used a cross-sectional design with a qualitative study approach. The subject was 11 pregnant women who were selected as well as 5 health workers. The data pre-conception of care and nutrition practices before pregnant, nutrition knowledge and nutrition practices, food taboo and suggestion, cultural belief influence, and data sources of information and nutritional information needs was carried out using the Focus Group Discussion. The results showed that most of the pregnant women did not get and done pre-conception nutrition care, had insufficient nutritional knowledge and the practice of balanced nutrition was still low. There is still an influence of cultural belief in the form of food taboos and food suggestions, and the lack of sources of information and nutritional information towards nutrition practice. It is necessary to develop media and nutrition educational methods to improve nutrition and health care  during pre-conception and pregnancy, and further studies are needed specifically on the role of family factors, especially grandmothers, mothers in-laws, and family members on nutrition practices in pregnant women.

Abstract

It is known that the number of restaurants in the city of Meulaboh there are 66 restaurants. After observing the eating houses in the town of Meulaboh, can be in the know that sanitation eat less qualified home health such as ownership of the means of waste disposal, garbage disposal facilities, hand-washing facilities, washing facilities appliance. The purpose of this study is the relationship Sanitati:ion Hygiene, sanitation facilities, and action handlers Density With Flies On Eating In the city of Meulaboh. This research is an analytic method with cross sectional design. This research was conducted in the city of Meulaboh implemented Johan Pahlawan sub-district of West Aceh on 7 November to 5 December 2016, with a population of 66 homeowners and their eating of food handlers, the sampling technique is used total sampling method and analyzed by univariate and bivariate using chi-test square.The results showed that there is significant correlation between sanitation hygiene factors (P.Value = 0.006 <α = 0.05), sanitary facilities (P.Value = 0.025 <α = 0.05), action handlers (P.Value = 0.026 <α = 0.05 ) with the density of flies in the restaurant in the city of Meulaboh. It was concluded that there is significant correlation between the factors of hygiene sanitation, sanitation facilities, action handlers with the density of flies in the restaurant in the city of Meulaboh. with the density of flies in the restaurant in the city of Meulaboh to achieve a state of healthy foods that are not exposed to flies and protected from various diseases caused by flies.

Abstract

Constipation marked by feces hard one, dry, and difficult issued. About 73.9% pregnant women experience constipation. Increase in the hormone progesterone for pregnant women resulted in drop motility gastrointestinal tract. Constipation affects psychology and causes swelling of the rectum area.To determine the relationship between the level of fiber adequacy, to consumption of Fe tablets and depression and to see the combined risk factors for depression and adherence to consumption of Fe tablets with the incidence of constipation in pregnant women. Design this research is observational analytics with Cross Sectional design. The sample of pregnant women is 55 people with purposive sampling data collection technique. Taking data done with use questionnaire. Statistic test used the chi-square test. 58.2% of pregnant women experienced constipation; 92.7% insufficient fiber sufficiency level; 40.0% adhered to consuming Fe tablets; 55.4% experienced depression; 23.6% of depression was adherent. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of fiber adequacy and the incidence of constipation in pregnant women (p = 0.298) and a significant relationship with the incidence of constipation in pregnant women, namely consuming Fe tablets (p = 0.039; OR = 4.080), depression (p = 0.026; OR = 4.125), risk factors for the combination of depression and adherence to consumption of Fe tablets (p = 0.005).Compliance with Fe tablet consumption and depression can increase the risk of constipation in pregnant women by 4,080 times and 4,125 times.

Abstract

Visceral fat levels contribute to obesity. Visceral fat is fat accumulation in fatty tissue around intra-abdominal organs or commonly referred to as central obesity. The higher the Body Mass Index, the percentage of fat mass and visceral fat will increase. Obesity can have an impact on insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome disorders and degenerative diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and visceral fat. This study uses a cross-sectional design and descriptive-analytic, looking for the relationship between body mass index and visceral fat level. The result shows about 53,6% and 25% of overweight respondents with high and very high visceral fat levels. There is a relationship between body mass index and visceral fat level with p-value obtained is 0,00 (p-value < 0,05). It means that there is a risk of obesity and metabolic syndrome disorders. Prevention efforts are needed by increasing physical activity, consumption of vegetables and fruit, and routine general checks up.
