Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat MAKARDHI atau disingkat dengan MAKARDHI adalah jurnal yang memuat karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat atau pembangunan masyarakat di bidang yang terkait dengan pariwisata. Diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan Juni dan Desember sejak tahun 2021 oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (P3M) Politeknik Pariwisata Bali dengan P-ISSN: 2809-4174 dan E-ISSN: 2808-084X MAKARDHI menerapkan proses blinded-peer-review dalam penanganan manuskrip dan pertimbangan dalam menentukan artikel ilmiah untuk publikasi didasarkan pada relevansi, kejelasan, topik dan orisinalitas, serta sejauh mana manuskrip tersebut dapat memajukan pengetahuan, pemahaman, penerapan dan kemungkinan kontribusinya dalam menginspirasi pengembangan dan pembangunan masyarakat terkait pariwisata. MAKARDHI menerima kajian, hasil penelitian, pengembangan ide dan refleksi atas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang terkait dengan pariwisata yang meliputi (tetapi tidak terbatas pada): pengembangan desa wisata, pemberdayaan masyarakat pariwisata, pelatihan dan sosialisasi pariwisata, peningkatan kapasitas masyararakat

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the competence of  Cibuntu Tourism Village managers in mitigating risks from natural and non-natural risk sources in tourist villages. The method used in this activity is counseling and socialization. The number of participants in this activity was 21 people. This activity is beneficial for Cibuntu Village which is required to be more professional in managing its tourist village because it is able to mitigate risks both from natural sources (such as natural disasters), and non-natural so as to ensure safety. and the safety of guests visiting the Cibuntu Tourism Village.

Abstract

Konsep glamping, camping dan cabins menjadi suatu trend pada era new normal di Bali. Kabupaten Tabanan khususnya Baturiti merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki wisata nomad sebagai salah satu daya tarik terbarunya. Wisatawan menjatuhkan pilihan menginap dengan suasana yang dekat dengan alam akibat kejenuhan dari adanya pembatasan berskala besar yang tidak memungkinkan mereka untuk mengadakan perjalanan wisata yang jauh dari tempat tinggalnya. Para pengusaha melirik kesempatan ini dengan menyediakan fasilitas berupa amenitas dengan konsep nomadic tourism, berkemah dengan suasana yang mewah seperti yang dilakukan kelompok usaha Dajan Danu, Desa Candikuning Banjar Kembang Mertha. Dalam operasionalnya, masih ditemui kendala yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat lokal dalam memberikan pelayanan prima dan mengoperasian media sosiall sebagai sarana pemasaran digital. Agar usaha ini berkesinambungan, perlu diadakannya kegiatan pelatihan. Program Studi D4, Administrasi Perhotelan mengambil peran untuk menyelenggarakan pelatihan pelayanan prima dan Pemasaran untuk dapat mengoptimalkan kualitas dan penjualan Glamping di Bedugul, Bali sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Harapan pasca diselenggarakan pelatihan ini yaitu menumbuhkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan masyarakat lokal sehingga usaha amenitas ini dapat berkesinambungan.

Abstract

Gunung Salak village has been inaugurated as a village that has natural tourism potential, Gunung Salak village also has cultural potential in the form of Okokan dance, Bunut Sakti Temple, Beji Sudhamala Temple, and subak. The Master of Tourism Applied Study Program is one of the study programs at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic. Carrying out Community Service activities in Gunung Salak Village on 29-30 March 2021. The theme of the implementation of the community service program is Training on Management of Tourism Villages, Gunung Salak Tourism Village, Selemadeg Timur District, District Tabanan. Participants in this training were 30 people consisting of elements of village officials, tourism object managers, accommodation managers, art associations, PKK, and youth organizations. The training materials include Government policies in the development of Gunung Salak Tourism Village, destination management, techniques for communicating and interacting with tourists, Sapta Pesona, as well as accommodation management and entrepreneurship. Based on the participant's assessment, this community service activity shows that the suitability of the program with the needs and suitability of the material is the highest assessment. Participants thought that this material was considered quite interesting because this activity was only a training course so that the participants hoped that further training would be held.

Abstract

In order to restore the tourism sector in Sayan village, the local government coordinates with the community and other stakeholders at the village level, by carrying out activities/ programs that support tourism such as: village object development, building supporting facilities, fostering/providing counseling and training to the community and organize events, to restore the level of tourist visits to the Sayan village. The closest activity that is planned to be held by the Sayan tourist village to increase the level of tourist visits to its tourist village is the holding of a cultural festival event. Seeing the need for developing the quality of human resources needed by the Sayan tourism village in planning and packaging the cultural festival event that will soon be held, it is deemed necessary to carry out training with a focus on planning and packaging festival events for the Sayan village community which is carried out by the D4 Travel Business Management Study Program, Bali Tourism Polytechnic as a form of community service. The result of this training is a change in the understanding of the trainees in preparation for designing and organizing cultural festivals in the Sayan tourist village.

Abstract

Diploma IV-Tax Accounting Study Program at the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic has duties and responsibilities to the community to carry out the Tri Dharma of higher education, one of which is community service. Therefore, the community service team consisting of lecturers from the Diploma IV-Tax Accounting Study Program at the eLBajo Commodus Polytechnic provided socialization in the financial sector to increase knowledge in financial management for managers and business actors at Wae Bobok Tourism Destinations. The importance of this community service is because there are still deficiencies in financial management, ranging from human resources who do not have competence in financial management to inadequate supporting facilities and infrastructure. implementation of Community Service activities DIV-Tax Accounting Study Program which was attended by 20 participants consisting of shop owners or stalls as well as managers of tourist attractions at Wae Bobok Tourism Destinations, as well as other village communities who are interested in participating. Participants also hope that this activity can be continued with regular sustainability training and mentoring.

Abstract

Karangrejo is one of the villages with excellent potential in the form of the agricultural sector, especially in the cultivation of rice and corn. Pests and diseases are the main problems in the cultivation of rice and corn in Karangrejo Village, Gumukmas District, Jember Regency which can hamper the cultivation process and can cause crop failure. Pest and disease control in Karangrejo Village is carried out by simple spraying of chemical pesticides. Spraying chemical pesticides can cause pests to become more resistant to chemical pesticides, so plant-based pesticides are needed. Shallot skin has the potential to be used as a vegetable pesticide because it contains acetogenin and flavonoid compounds. The purpose of this service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in Karangrejo Village, Gumukmas District, Jember Regency in making onion peel vegetable pesticides to control pests and diseases in food crops. The implementation of activities through KKN-Collaborative is carried out by providing socialization and training on making onion peel vegetable pesticides. The results of community service are the development and application of botanical pesticides to help increase plant productivity.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world has had a profound impact on the operations of the food and beverage industry. In order to survive, various efforts were made. One of them is by implementing the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability) protocol. The Chinese Food Canteen Restaurant is a restaurant that wants to carry out this endeavor. It aims to survive and rebuild the trust of its customers. However, its employees do not yet have knowledge of the CHSE protocol. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct CHSE protocol training to equip its employees. The CHSE training held is a collaboration with the UPH Faculty of Tourism. In addition to increasing knowledge, this training also aims to improve employee skills so that customer trust can increase again. The training method used is explanation and direct practice. The results of the training achieved are that the employees of the Chinese Food Canteen Restaurant have knowledge of the CHSE protocol and can apply it in restaurant operations.

Abstract

This service aims to train product marketing on social media for food stall entrepreneurs in the Lake Cipondoh Destination. The method of implementing this activity is carried out by counseling and training using social media, namely Facebook and Instagram which includes several stages, namely: (1) The initial stage is preparing training facilities, training venues and training materials; (2) The stages of implementation are identifying the participants' social media knowledge, then providing counseling and training on marketing using social media; (3) The evaluation stage is to assess the ability of the trainees to use social media as a means of marketing their products. The results of this activity provide better benefits and results for food stall entrepreneurs, namely in the form of increasing recognition of the products offered and increased sales of these products, because they have marketed their products online and have wider access.

Abstract

One of the duties and responsibilities of Higher Education in Indonesia  is conducting communinity service. Referring to the responsibility, the Study Program of Hospitality Business held a community service in the Vilage of Kenderan, Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency.  The form of the service was socialization on Tourism Understanding and Basic Hospitality Attitudes in order to build Rural Tourism Destination. The community service was done in Kayangan Villa, Kenderan Village Gianyar on 28-29 October 2021. The objectives of the program was to build the tourism awareness and hospitality attitude  of the society which were required in developing the rural tourism in Tegallalang District which included three villages, namely:  Tegallalang, Taro and Kenderan (Tricovillage). By having the awareness and attitude, it is hoped that the society will be actively take a part in the rural tourism development.

Abstract

The Dukuh Penaban Traditional Village was the chosen location for community service in the Tourism Management Study Program because in Dukuh Penaban there has not been good governance in terms of developing a tourist village. There are still some conditions where local people are not ready to provide services for tourists who come, because there is no clear management system. This community service is therefore, carried out in the form of Tourism Village Management Training, with participants from all stakeholders in the Dukuh Penaban Tourism Village. The outputs of this activity are: The increase of public understanding of the tourism village governance system, the formation of a tourism governance system managed by a professional management agency in the Dukuh Penaban Traditional Village area that accommodates the aspirations of the local community, as well as the increase of community capability in providing excellent service for tourists, thus making Dukuh Penaban a favorite destination in Karangasem Regency. It is highly expected that this activity will provide benefits in the form of increasing human resources from the Dukuh Penaban Tourism Village who are skilled and independent in managing tourism potential in their area in a sustainable manner.
