Abstract

Overall experience merupakan faktor penting dalam memprediksi pengalaman yang dikenang pengunjung, sehingga overall experience perlu dibangun supaya pengunjung dapat datang kembali kepada suatu festival. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisa pengaruh overall experience terhadap memorable tourism experience dan revisit intention dengan objek penelitian yaitu Java Jazz Festival. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 196 pengunjung Java Jazz Festival yang telah mengunjungi festival pada jangka waktu 3 tahun terakhir (2017, 2018, dan 2019) dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksplanatif dengan analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan AMOS 24. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan 6 dimensi experience (entertainment, educational, esthetic, escapist, economic value, dan festivity) merupakan pengukur variabel overall experience. Overall experience mempengaruhi memorable tourism experience dan mempengaruhi revisit intention secara langsung.

Abstract

Since the operation of the UNESCO Global Geopark (BUGG) Batur Management Agency has had a positive impact in increasing the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of the Regency of Bangli, it hasn't even been a year in operation since 2019 the revenue achieved has almost reached half of the target. The development of the campaign carried Museum Geopark Batur Kintamani is not maximized in terms of the management of events that can be done there, based on the phenomenon, the focus of this study is to determine the appropriate strategies with potential tourist attraction that can then be implemented by the local community and become one alternative forms of tourism in Bangli Regency and North Bali in general. This research using qualitative and quantitative data. While the primary data used are documents obtained from the internet. Data collection in this study uses the method of observation and documentation. The strategy that can be used in developing the Batur Kintamani Geopark Museum is by utilizing all the potential it has, starting from creating an event to introduce this geopark, making tour packages that include other tourist objects around the geopark, and capturing potential markets, especially among students. To minimize weaknesses, geopark managers can learn more knowledge and skills on how to maximize the potential of the Batur Kintamani Geopark Museum.

Abstract

Hotel adalah sarana tempat menginap bagi beberapa orang yang sedang berkunjung ke suatu tempat. Kunjungan mereka memiliki tujuan tertentu yang pada umumnya untuk urusan bisnis atau berlibur. Alasan beberapa orang memilih hotel sebagai tempat menginap sementara karena mimiliki fasilitas yang tamu inginkan, dan mengharapkan pelayanan yang baik yang mereka ingin dapatkan. Salah satu departemen yang memberikan pelayanan disaat pertama kali masuk di ruang lobby adalah departemen Front Office. Departemen FO memberikan pelayanan yang lengkap bagi tamu yang datang. Sejak memasuki ruang lobby, tamu akan mendapatkan pelayanan reservasi, informasi, telephone operator, concierge bertugas melayani tamu dan barang-barang yang dibawa, dan kasir. Tamu akan lebih banyak berinteraksi dengan karyawan front desk, sehingga karyawan front desk perlu membangun interaksi yang baik melalui komunikasi. Komunikasi yang baik dan sopan menjadi daya tarik tamu untuk datang menginap berulang di lain waktu. Namun kadang komunikasi yang dijalin dapat memberikan dampak buruk apabila ada kesalahpaham yang ditimbulkan akibat beberapa faktor. Faktor-faktor terjadinya komunikasi yang membuat pemberi dan penerima pesan menjadi salahpaham sebisa mungkin di hindari. Ada berbagai macam solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghindari komunikasi yang berakibat kesalahpahaman yang fatal. Oleh karena itu peneliti mencoba memberikan faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahpahaman dan bagaimana menghindari kesalahpahamn komunikasi yang terjadi.

Abstract

Surabaya, the city of heroes, was a silent witness of Arek Suroboyo’s struggle against the colonial invaders. As a result, it made a huge impact on the birth of many historical relics and triggered Surabaya to develop their tourism potential. Through “Sparkling Surabaya” branding, facilities that were provided by the government are very diverse, but public awareness of the tourism potential was still lacking. This had become the government's concern to introduce Surabaya with a new face by presenting something that can attract citizens of Surabaya that was very fluent in technologies. This research aims to create interactive media that can attract citizen of Surabaya to become more aware of the tourism potential. The method applied to solve this problem is design thinking, which is understand, ideate, prototyping, and test. The result of this research is the design of an tourist information interative media, by creating an open passageway that was placed in strategic locations such as malls, parks, and sidewalk access to public transportation. The usage of technology could support Surabaya tourism with interactive methods and made an impact on improving the economy of Surabaya.

Abstract

The research explained about a sport event called Event Basket Pro that has been established since 2003, Event Basket Pro is one of professional basketball league in Indonesia and runs for approximately 8 months every season. Improvements are needed to make this event sustain, despite the fact that this event has operated for more than 15 years. Based on the research that was conducted using Soft System Methodology, it was found that Event Basket Pro having difficulties to create relevant digital marketing content related to their marketing target. The author suggested optimalizaton the system of social media marketing. In order to achieve it, according to the recommendation of conceptual model, every stakeholders had to play their role in planning, implementing and evaluation.

Abstract

The management of InterContinental Bali Resort applies two policies, which are organizational justice and employee engagement that expected to be able to improve organizational citizenship behavior in ought to increase employee performance, especially those dealing directly with guests, one of it is F&B Service Department. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational justice and employee engagement on organizational citizenship behavior partial and simultaneous F&B Service Department employees at InterContinental Bali Resort. Determination of samples using saturated sample techniques totaling 78 respondents. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires. This research was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis techniques, t-test, F-test and determination coefficient analysis (R2) with the help of SPSS version 22. The results of the analysis showed that (1) organizational justice (X1) had a positive and significant effect partial to organizational citizenship behavior (Y), (2) employee engagement (X2) has a positive and significant effect partially on organizational citizenship behavior (Y), and (3) organizational justice (X1) and employee engagement (X2) positive and significant influence simultaneously on organizational citizenship behavior (Y). The results of the coefficient of determination analysis (R2) show that organizational justice and employee engagement has an effect of 59.7% on organizational citizenship behavior, while the remaining 40.3% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the commodification of traditional foods namely Sate Lilit Bali or Balinese type of Satay at the Spice Beach Club, Bali. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The object in this study is Sate Lilit, which is in the Spice Beach Club restaurant. Data collection methods used in this study were interviews, documentation, and observation. This study found that Spice Beach Club Lovina had commodified the Sate Lilit Bali to promote Balinese food and culture promotion without reducing the cultural value of Sate Lilit Bali. This study is important for a reference for further innovations in culinary art study in Hospitality Industry.

Abstract

A fine food is a food that represent itself where it came from even those food is made far away from original place. Originality of food remain consistent while the taste and presentation may deliberately change to fit the culture and personal habit of the original citizen. The main objectives of this study are to recognize and describe the different process and presentation of Indonesian food that has been made in two specific different countries, Indonesia dan America. This research was conducted through textual analysis and qualitative data collection namely by personal observations, interviews, and documentations. This research observes the cultural and habitual action of the people who lived in Indonesia and America. The findings show variation in the aspect of processing and presenting Indonesia food in Indonesian and American context. The same food and ingredients may be different in the presentation and processing based on the cultural background of the place where the food is produced. Although this research analyzes specific context of places, but essence of culture that affect the food presentation and processing can be applied in any regions and culture.

Abstract

Indonesia has a large number of favorable tourism destinations, for example like Besuki in East Java that has some potential tourist attractions. The complexity to plan a tourism travel routes for particular tourist category become a problem. Hence, travel recommendations for tourists are required. To solve this problem, the first step is accumulating data from questionnaires, Google Map, TripAdvisor, and website of the Tourism Office in Besuki. The questionnaires were distributed to respondents with dominant age between 15-24 years (60%) and most of them were students (44%). Most respondents were single (74%) and traveling with their family (52%). Using LINGO, model Orienteering Problem with Time Windows (OPTW) with objective function is maximizing scores and having restrictions in opening and closing hours of each tourist attractions. The database that required are opening and closing hours, the distance between tourist attractions, and maximum tourist’s hours per day. Score for each tourist attraction and service time will be taken from each tourist category. There are 3 tourists’ categories such as Simplicity Searchers (42%), Cultural Purists (34%), and Reward Hunters (24%). Eventhough there is no significant difference among service time for all categories, the median service time will give different results in total score and routes.

Abstract

Goa Gudawang is a natural cave site located in Bogor Regency. It was believed as a meditation by a number of warriors from the land of Pasundan and also often seen ’striped tigers’ who owned the pasundan land. The purpose of the study is to discover the potential development of dark tourism in Goa Gudawang. The methods used in this research are qualitative and quantitative method. The authors do direct exploration to the research site to get primary data regarding Goa Gudawang. Interviews and questioners were also conducted to Goa Gudawang Guards, local communities, Bogor Regency Culture and Tourism Office, and also visitors. In addition, the authors obtained data from literature related to research that is being done. The results found that Goa Gudawang has potential to become a dark tourism attraction as a dark exhibition. It has a symbol for dark tourism, but need more support from the local Government in order to make it as a dark exhibition. Nowadays, Goa Gudawawan is only focus on natural tourism. Its need added value to make it as special interest tourism especially for dark tourism. Moreover, Goa Gudawang only has one attraction to develop dark tourism, as a cave tourist usually uses it for meditation. But Goa Gudawang is rarely found in other places and has its own uniqueness for conducting dark tourism.
