Abstract

Real work lectures are a form of student service to the community as a manifestation of the tri dharma of higher education. In this period, the actual work lecture activities underwent a change in the procedure in which the kukerta activities were carried out at the student's residence. This is because the spread of the Covid-19 virus is increasing day by day. This activity aims to make students able to appreciate and overcome problems that arise in a society that is generally complex, as well as to help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. The ease in dealing with this is carried out systematically and is reflected in student activities when carrying out the Covid-19 Volunteer Kukerta programs in the Kelurahan. The Covid-19 Volunteer Kukerta activity at the University of Riau was carried out in Kampung Tengah Village, Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The Covid-19 Kukerta Volunteer Team at the University of Riau runs various programs that support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 outbreak, including the program for making and distributing hand sanitizers, spraying disinfectant programs, making and distributing herbal medicine programs, mutual cooperation program activities, and the Riau Bank cash social assistance program Riau Islands, and the food distribution program.

Abstract

The mosque is an important element for Muslims both in performing worship and muamalah activities so that it is undeniably a religious center. The mosque experienced the dynamics of significant development ranging from general geometric shapes to modern architectural styles. At-Taqwa Mosque has not been maximized as a house of worship because muhrim privacy is not well achieved, does not accommodate worshippers at large events, lacks other facilities. The management cooperates in the service activities to realize the documents of the design of the Taqwa Aursati mosque area. This activity is descriptive qualitative by collecting data through observation and interview. An activity approach is a bottom-up approach that is with the smoothing of the user's interests and desires. The result of this activity is to obtain documents designing the At-Taqwa mosque area by applying the concept of Islamic architecture. The design provides facilities based on zoning i.e. transition zones, mosque zones, and educational zones. This document is useful for the committee for the development of the At-Taqwa mosque as a guide in the implementation of the construction of the mosque.

Abstract

The Meranti Archipelago is the largest producer and exporter of sago in Indonesia. However, in some areas, sago processing sites have not developed optimally, especially in Bagan Melibur Village. Based on this, the research team from the University of Riau carried out community service activities in Bagan Melibur Village, Merbau District, Meranti Islands, Riau on June 25 – July 1, 2021. In this activity, the research team collaborated with MSMEs BAS (Bagan Melibur Amanah Sejahtera) ) and the local community to build a drying house with UV plastic coating that can be used to dry sago cendol food products so that they can be processed into dry food which is expected to optimize the production and marketing of processed sago. Solar radiation that is absorbed directly by UV plastic functions as a conductor and retainer of heat so that the temperature in a place or room is maintained. The achievement of the results obtained in the form of a drying house with solar power that can be used at any time and in cloudy or rainy weather conditions. With this, of course, the production of dry sago cendol can last longer and can be marketed outside the Bagan Melibur area.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to transfer knowledge and technology about artificial spawning of Mutiara Strain (Clarias gariepinus Burchell, 1822) to the Unggul Farm fish hatchery unit in Pangkalan Baru Village, Kec. Siak Hulu Regency. Kampar. This activity will be held on July 12 – August 12, 2021. The method used is direct demonstration and active participation. The spawning-stimulating hormone was Ovaprim with a dose of 0.5 ml/kg female broodstock and 0.3 ml/kg male broodstock. Artificial spawning, which is the process of removing eggs and sperm by stripping and surgery, so that the maximum number of eggs and sperm is obtained. Then fertilization is carried out, and then the eggs are incubated until they hatch which are called larvae. Artificial spawning produces larvae as many as 3 tanks with a size of 1 X 5.5 m. Natural spawning is carried out by the Unggul Farm fish hatchery unit each spawning period producing one larval tank with a size of 1 X 5.5 m. The benefits of artificial spawning are to increase the production of Mutiara strain seeds and improve the welfare of members of the Unggul Farm fish hatchery unit
