Abstract

Abstract: The Effect Of Flipped Classroom Model on Mathematical Ability: A Meta Analysis Study. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of the flipped classroom model on mathematical ability. Methods: The study design was a meta-analysis by analyzing 70 effect sizes from 44 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria. Findings: The combined effect size was (d = 0.73; p < 0.01). Measure the effect based on education level (Qb = 21.04; p < 0.05), use of LMS (Qb = 5.91; p < 0.05), sample size (Qb = 9.83). ; p < 0.05), year of study (Qb = 34.85; p < 0.05), type of publication (Qb = 7.08; p < 0.05), trial period (Qb = 46.60; p < 0.05), and region (Qb = 49.59; p < 0.05). Conclusion: The flipped classroom model has an effect on mathematical ability. The effect of the flipped classroom model compared to traditional teaching on math skills differs according to the educational level group, use of LMS, sample size, year of study, type of publication, time of experiment, and region. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model flipped classroom terhadap kemampuan matematika. Abstract

Abstract: How is Foreign Language Learning Implemented Online The Case of Indonesian Language for Foreign Speaker. Objectives: this article aims to describe the platforms commonly used in learning and teaching Indonesian for foreigners online, the problems encountered, and the solutions. Methods: the researcher employed qualitative research. In obtaining information from three resource persons who teach at the State University of Malang, an in-depth interview technique was used with the aim of obtaining comprehensive information. Findings: The results show that there are four types of digital platforms that are often used: Zoom, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, and UKBIPA. Meanwhile, the problems faced are divided into two categories: technical and substance. Meanwhile, the solution proposed by the teacher is to improve digital skills and make maximum use of authentic sources spread across various social media platforms. Conclusion: Online learning using a digital platform has advantages and disadvantages, to overcome these shortcomings, collaborative efforts from various parties are needed.Keywords: BIPA, digital platform, second language.Abstrak: Bagaimana Pembelajaran Bahasa Asing Dilaksanakan Secara Daring Studi Kasus dalam Program Bahasa Indonesia Untuk Penutur Asing. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui atau mengungkapkan jenis platform, permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing secara daring, dan solusinya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dalam memproleh informasi dari tiga narasumber yang mengajar di Universitas Negeri Malang, teknik wawancara secara mendalam digunakan dengan tujuan mendapatkan informasi yang komprehensif. Temuan: hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat empat jenis platform digital yang sering dimanfaatkan: zoom, google classrom, whatsapp, dan UKBIPA. Sedangkan permasalahan yang dihadapi terbagi menjadi dua kategori: teknis dan substansi. Sementara itu, solusi yang diajukan pengajar meningkatkan kemampuan digital dan semaksimal mungkin memanfaatkan sumber autentik yang tersebar di berbagai platform media sosial. Kesimpulan: Pembelajaran secara daring menggunakan platform digital memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan, untuk mengatasi kekurangan tersebut diperlukan upaya kerjasama berbagai pihak. Abstract

Abstract: Critical Thinking Levels of EFL Undergraduate Students of Universitas Brawijaya. Objective: This study investigated the levels of CT of undergraduate students. Methods: Employing the mix-method design and two instruments (1)Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal and (2) interview, the study involved 352 students who are in the first year of their study. Findings: Related to CTS, it showed that most of the students can determine the answer correctly in terms of (1) Deduction 63.07% (2) Arguments 62.16 percent (3) Interpreting information 59,92 percent (4) Assumptions 50,19 percent and (5) Inferences 37.15 percent. In sum, only 54.40 percent of students in their first year indicate low CT ability. It is in line with the results of the interview which postulates that 57 percent of the students do not really understand what and how to improve their CTS and they need some help to improve it. Conclusion: The University should provide learning and activities which can increase their CTS, especially the inferencing dimension.Keywords: EFL, CTS, reading, assessment.Abstrak: Tingkat Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa S1 di Universitas Brawijaya. Tujuan: Penelitian ini menyelidiki tingkat berpikir kritis mahasiswa S1. Metode: Menggunakan desain penelitian campuran dan dua instrument (1) Penilaian Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking dan (2) wawancara, penelitian ini melibatkan 352 mahasiwa yang sedang berada di tahun pertama studi mereka. Temuan: Terkait keterampilan berpikir kritis, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa dapat menentukan jawaban dengan benar dalam (1) Pengambilan kesimpulan 63.07 persen (2) Argumentasi 62.16 persen (3) Menginterpretasi informasi 59.92 persen (4) Asumsi 50.19 persen dan (5) Inferensi, 37.15 persen. Secara keseluruhan, hanya 54,40 persen mahasiswa tahun pertama yang menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah. Sejalan dengan hasil wawancara yang menyatakan bahwa 57 persen mahasiswa tidak begitu memahami apa dan bagaimana cara meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan mereka membutuhkan bantuan untuk meningkatkannya. Kesimpulan: Universitas seharusnya menyediakan pembelajaran dan aktifitas-aktifitas yang dapat membantu meningkatkan CTS mahasiswa, terutama dimensi inferensi.Kata kunci: EFL, CTS, membaca, penilaian.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202221

Abstract

Abstract: Factors Affecting the Learning Outcomes of College Students during Online Class. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting the achievement of learning outcomes of college students during online class and to know how they cope with the shift to online class to achieve learning outcomes. Methods: The study employed qualitative method that focused in the identifying and analyzing what all the respondents experiences do have common factors in the context of the phenomenon. With this, the data was gathered through an interview of five (5) 3rd year and 4th year students of Western Mindanao State University who were taking Bachelor of Elementary Education and enrolled in online classes during the academic year 2021-2022. Findings: The study found out several factors experienced by the students that affected their learning outcomes during online class which can be summarized as internet connectivity, physiological factors, non-academic influences, technological satisfaction and learning environmental. Conclusion: Based on the result, it clearly shows that online learning has significant issues that need further investigations. It can be assumed that the sudden shift of classes to an online mode of learning is less effective than the face-to-face set-up.Keywords: learning outcomes, online class, college students.Abstrak: Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Selama Kelas Online. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pencapaian hasil belajar mahasiswa pada saat kelas online dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mereka menghadapi peralihan ke kelas online untuk mencapai hasil belajar. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis apakah semua pengalaman responden memiliki faktor-faktor yang sama dalam konteks fenomena tersebut. Dengan demikian, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terhadap lima (5) mahasiswa tahun ke-3 dan ke-4 Universitas Negeri Mindanao Barat yang sedang menempuh pendidikan Sarjana Pendidikan Dasar dan mengikuti kelas online selama tahun ajaran 2021-2022. Temuan: Studi ini menemukan beberapa faktor yang dialami oleh siswa yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar mereka selama kelas online yang dapat diringkas sebagai konektivitas internet, faktor fisiologis, pengaruh non-akademik, kepuasan teknologi dan lingkungan belajar. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, jelas menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran online memiliki masalah signifikan yang memerlukan penyelidikan lebih lanjut. Dapat diasumsikan bahwa peralihan kelas secara tiba-tiba ke mode pembelajaran online kurang efektif dibandingkan dengan pengaturan tatap muka. Abstract

Abstract: Correlation of Vocabulary Proficiency and Learninng Styles with Reading Comprehension of Prospective English Teachers: A Case of Universitas Lampung. Objectives: To analyze the correlation of vocabulary proficiency (X1) and reading achievement (Y) second, to investigate the correlation between learning styles (X2) and reading achievement (Y) and to analyze the composite correlation between X1, X2 and Y. Methods: Simple random technique was used, 80 students were chosen, out of 120, based on the total sample, i.e, all students taking reading comprehension and vocabulary. A questionaire was used to measure learning styles, and two sets of tests were used, to measure vocabulary and reading achievement. Findings: There was a correlation between students’ vocabulary proficiency (X1) and reading achievement (Y), r is equal to 0.532 there was a correlation between learning styles (X2) and reading achievement (Y), r is equal to 0.784 finally, there was a correlation between X1, X2 and Y, r is equal to 0.823. Conclusion: Vocabulary proficiency and learning styles play important roles in improving reading achievement.Keywords: vocabulary proficiency, learning styles, comprehension.Abstrak: Korelasi Antara Penguasaan Kosa Kata Dan Gaya Belajar Mahasiswa dengan Kemampuan Membaca Mahasiswa Calon Guru Bahasa Inggris: Studi Kasus di Universitas Lampung. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis korelasi antara penguasaan kosa kata (X1); dengan kemampuan membaca (Y); kedua, untuk mengkaji korelasi antara gaya belajar (X2) dengan kemampuan membaca (Y); dan untuk menganalaisis korelasi gabungan antara X1 dan X2 dengan Y. Metode: Teknik sampling random sederhana digunakan untuk memilih sampel, dari populasi 120 diambil 80 berdasarkan sampel total, yakni semua mahasiswa yang mengambil reading dan vocabulary. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengukur gaya belajar dan dua tes digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan membaca dan penguasaan kosa kata. Temuan: Terdapat korelasi antara penguasaan kosa kata (X1) dengan kemampuan membaca (Y), r sama dengan 0.532 kedua terdapat korelasi antara gaya belajar (X2) dengan Y, r sama dengan 0.784 terakhir terdapat korelasi gabungan antara X1, X2 dengan Y, koefisien korelasi antara X1, X2, dan Y sama dengan 0.823. Kesimpulan: Penguasaan kosa kata dan penggunaan gaya belajar sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca. Kata kunci: penguasaan kosa kata, gaya belajar, kemampuan membaca. Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of Symbolic Meaning in Drama Scripts and Its Implications toward Indonesian Language Learning of High School Students. Objective: This study aims to describe the symbolic meaning of the drama script and its implications for learning Indonesian for class X students. Methods: The analysis of symbolic meaning and its implications uses the eclectic method and the Semiotics perspective of Charles Sanders Pierce. Findings: The results of the study indicate that there is a symbolic meaning that shows a shift in the type of lexical meaning following the meaning of its social function in the drama script. The symbolic meaning is relevant to the learning objectives in basic competencies of understanding the types of purpose and using the kinds of importance in sentences. Conclusion: The implications for learning Indonesian can be more flexible in preparing innovative learning tools through drama scripts.Keywords: symbolic meaning, drama script, Indonesian language learning.Abstrak: Analisis Makna Simbolik dalam Naskah Drama dan Implikasinya terhadap Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa SMA. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan makna simbolik yang terdapat dalam naskah drama dan implikasinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk siswa kelas X. Metode: Analisis makna simbolik dan implikasinya menggunakan metode eklektik dan perspektif Semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce. Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat makna simbolik yang memperlihatkan pergeseran jenis makna leksikal mengikuti makna fungsi sosialnya dalam naskah drama. Makna simbolik tersebut relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran kompetensi dasar memahami jenis-jenis makna dan menggunakan jenis-jenis makna dalam kalimat. Abstract

Abstract: Flipped Classroom Learning: Mathematical Creative Thinking Skills Based on Mathematical Resilience using Augmented Reality. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of the augmented reality (AR)-based flipped classroom learning (FCL) model on mathematical creative thinking skills (MCTS) in terms of mathematical resilience (MR). Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research. The population of this study were students of SMAN 105 Jakarta with the research sample being the experimental class students and the control class selected purposively. Data analysis in this study used the Mann Whitney U Test, Cohens d Effect Size Test and Spearman Correlation to determine the difference. Findings: Subjects on experimental group have mathematical creative thinking skills that are superior to subjects with conventional mathematics learning. Conclusion: The AR-based FCL model has a significant effect on the MCTS owned by subjects. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model flipped classroom learning (FCL) berbasis augmented reality (AR) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis (KBKM) berdasarkan resiliensi matematis (RM). Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 105 Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara purposive. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Mann Whitney U Test, Cohens d Effect Size Test dan Spearman Correlation untuk mengetahui perbedaannya. Temuan: Subjek pada kelompok eksperimen memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang lebih unggul dibandingkan subjek dengan pembelajaran matematika konvensional. Kesimpulan: Model FCL berbasis AR berpengaruh signifikan terhadap MCTS yang dimiliki subjek. Selain itu, KBKM memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan MR. Abstract

Abstract: The Role of the Storytelling towards Internalization of Religious Values for Early 5-6 Years Old Children. Objective: this research aimed to find out how to implement the storytelling method and religious values for children aged 5-6 years. Methods: The method used is descriptive qualitative research. Document collection begins with observation sheets and documentation. Findings: The findings of the first meeting of 15 children who were subject to the cultivation of religious values, in the aspect of the prayer movement of meetings 1-4, the highest average percentage was in the 3 star category and 2 star category (35 percent), the lowest in the 4 star category (10 percent). obedient and obedient aspects of meetings 1-4 with the highest average percentage in the 2-star category (46.67 percent), the lowest in the 4-star category (0 percent). aspects of good and bad behavior at meetings of 1-4, with the largest average percentage in the 3 star category (45 percent), the lowest in the no star category (3.33 percent). Conclusion: the implementation of the storytelling method gets 3 stars, and there is a role for the storytelling method to inculcate religious values for children aged 5-6 years. From the first, second, third and fourth meetings showed an increase in the three categories observed.Keywords: storytelling, religious values, early childhood.Abstrak: Peran Mendongeng Terhadap Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Religius Pada Anak Usia Dini 5-6 Tahun. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi metode storytelling dan nilai-nilai agama anak usia 5-6 tahun. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan dokumen mulai lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Temuan: pertemuan pertama dari 15 anak subjek penanaman nilai-nilai agama, pada aspek gerakan shalat pertemuan 1-4 rata-rata persentase tertinggi kategori bintang 3 dan bintang 2 (35 persen), terendah kategori bintang 4 (10 persen). aspek taat dan patuh pertemuan 1-4 rata-rata persentase tertinggi kategori bintang 2 (46,67 persen), terendah kategori bintang 4 (0 persen). aspek perilaku baik dan buruk pertemuan 1-4 rata-rata persentase terbesar kategori bintang 3 (45 persen), terendah kategori tidak ada bintang (3,33 persen), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi metode storytelling mendapat bintang 3, serta ada peranan metode storytelling penanaman nilai-nilai agama anak usia 5-6 tahun. Abstract: Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project in Sekolah Menengah Kategori Mandiri at Bandar Lampung City, Indonesia. Objective: The research aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, in the category of Independent School Sharing. Methods: This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, intended to identify objective and in-depth conditions of course the focus of the study. Findings: The results of this study illustrate the implementation of the curriculum. There is a misconception about the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project in schools with a changing self-category, one of which is that self-category schools change, one of which is project activities fixated on existing teaching material activities, not adjusting school environmental conditions, project activities are still dominant this is not the process of internalizing Pancasila Student Profile values, but rather the process of internalizing Pancasila Student Profile values. Conclusion: Schools need to carry out evaluation and retraining related to the philosophy of implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Project.Keywords: Pancasila student profile strengthening project, case study, high school.Abstrak: Implementasi Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila di Sekolah Menengah Kategori Mandiri di Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanakan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, kategori Sekolah Mandiri Berbagi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yang dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kondisi obyektif dan mendalam tentu fokus penelitian. Temuan: Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka, terdapat miskonsepsi dalam implementasi Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila di sekolah dengan kategori mandiri berubah, yang salah satunya sekolah kategori mandiri berubah, antara lain kegiatan proyek terpaku pada aktivitas bahan ajar yang ada, tidak menyesuaikan kondisi lingkungan sekolah, kegiatan proyek masih dominan dengan penguatan konsep/pengetahuan, dan berorentasi pada produk bukan proses penguatan internalisasi nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Kesimpulan: Sekolah perlu melalukan evaluasi dan pelatihan kembali terkait filosofi pelaksanaan Proyek Profil pelajar Pancasila.Kata kunci: proyek penguatan profil siswa Pancasila, studi kasus, sekolah menengah.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202232

Abstract

Abstract: Security Practices of Higher Education Institutions in Ilocos Norte, Philippines in the Upsurge of Coronavirus. To analyze the security practices of Higher Education Institutions in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines during the surge of the COVID-19 disease is the objective of this study. The researcher used qualitative methodology using action research design through the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) approach. Study participants were members of security management of three HEIs selected thru purposive sampling. The result of the study showed that the security management of the Institutions guarantees the security of all stakeholders in all areas of security covered in the study by complying with all COVID-19 health and security protocols. However, the upsurge of the COVID-19 pandemic causes dangerous threats to the institutions areas of security. It can be concluded that the SWOT of Higher Educations Institutions security practices is diverse on all areas of security. There are challenges that the security management of HEIs encountered during the outbreak of COVID-19.Keywords: security practices, higher education institution, COVID-19 outbreak.Abstrak: Praktik Keamanan Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi di Ilocos Norte, Filipina saat Kemunculan Virus Corona. Untuk menganalisis praktik keamanan Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi di provinsi Ilocos Norte, Filipina selama lonjakan penyakit COVID-19 adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Peneliti menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan melalui pendekatan kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman (SWOT). Peserta studi adalah anggota manajemen keamanan dari tiga PT yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen keamanan Lembaga menjamin keamanan seluruh pemangku kepentingan di semua bidang keamanan yang tercakup dalam kajian dengan mematuhi semua protokol kesehatan dan keamanan COVID-19. Namun, maraknya pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan ancaman berbahaya bagi keamanan institusi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa praktik keamanan SWOT Perguruan Tinggi beragam pada semua bidang keamanan.
