Abstract

The rapid development of halal tourism is a huge opportunity for West Sumatra . The community is predominantly Muslim, and the socio-cultural system of life based on Islam is very strong in this area. The policy for implementing halal tourism in West Sumatra has been regulated in a Regional Regulation which was ratified in 2020. This paper aims to describe the importance of the policy for implementing halal tourism in West Sumatra. The method used is library research. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis which consists of data collection, data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions. The policy for the implementation of halal tourism in West Sumatra aims to serve as a guideline in ensuring legal certainty for the implementation of regional halal tourism. Tourists who visit tourist objects become safe, comfortable, and guaranteed their health because they consume halal and safe products. With Islamic values that exist in halal tourism, it is not only beneficial for the tourism industry but also beneficial for the community in increasing faith, becoming a better human being and preventing things that are harmful to society.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of e-service quality, customer trust, and word of mount on repurchase intention mediated by customer satisfaction. The sample in this study were taken by Z generation who had purchased products online in the marketplace. The number of samples that used were 200 respondens. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, namely the determination of the sample by selecting a group of subjects in accordance with this study. This study used primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed by using SmartPLS 3.2.9 software. The results show that customer trust and e-service quality have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Meanwhile the word of mounth has no effect on customer satisfaction. The results of the study also show that e-service quality, customer trust, and word of mount have a positive effect on repurchase intention. Meanwhile, customer satisfaction has no effect on repurchase intention. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is not able to mediate the relationship of e-service quality, customer trust, and word of mount to repurchase intention. The novelty of this research is that it involves respondents who are Z-Generation.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on MSMEs and how the effectiveness of utilizing business capital assistance paid by the government affects their survival during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Through a survey of 110 respondents (namely debtors/beneficiaries), this case study finds that the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused business delays, so the government assistance program has become the key to MSME business continuity during the COVID-19 Pandemic. With government assistance, the business actors in the sample of this study could maintain their business. Even though the overall labor force is decreasing and income is decreasing, some small, medium, and micro-enterprises can maintain or even increase workers and their turnover due to government assistance. This study recommends continuing the assistance program for MSMEs by loosening requirements and focusing on new beneficiaries, an integrated MSME database, and in the future, the assistance program needs to be integrated with financial literacy and MSME innovation programs. The policy implication of this study is that the government's economic recovery plan during the future recession needs to target MSMEs. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial motivation and social network relationship on the business performance of herbal medicine sellers. The object of this research was the sellers of herbal drink/the peddler of biopharmaca/herbal medicine store in Banyu Urip Surabaya and surrounding areas. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 91 respondents. The data analysis method applied regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS software version 21. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant influence of entrepreneurial motivation on the business performance of herbal medicine sellers. However, social network relationships have a positive and insignificant effect on improving the business performance of herbal medicine sellers. This research provides the strong motivation for entrepreneurs to improve their business performance becoming autonomy and independence. This means that the desire to work independently, to develop their own business, and to have financial independence are the strongest impetus for them to be successful in business indicated by better financial performance.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate technology readiness and the proficient to strive digitally for various offerings across digital value resonance, primarily for small medium enterprises. Questionnaires and interviews were used to gather data from 204 small and medium-sized businesses. SEM-PLS approaches are used to evaluate the impact of information with a trajectory moderated by digital value resonance on product innovation. The findings demonstrated that the digital value resonance managed to avoid the link between technological preparedness and product innovation enhancement. The advantages of this study are in the synthesizing of proposed digital value resonance variables from the results of resource-based view theory propositions, which aids in connecting previous researcher gaps and adds to a new concept that can configure digital value at the level of competition and increase MSME innovation products.

Abstract

Many students wish to continue their studies but choose a different college or intend to do brand switching. On the other hand, universities want students to continue their studies back at their home institutions. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceptions of service quality, customer dissatisfaction and variety-seeking on Brand Switching Intention in Higher Education. The population in this study were students who were still active in higher education. Samples were taken as many as 50 people with the purposive sampling method. The criteria for respondents were students who had an interest in further study. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the perception of service quality did not affect brand switching intention. Meanwhile, customer dissatisfaction and Variety seeking have a positive and significant effect on brand switching intention. The coefficient of determination is 0,544, of the variation in brand switching intention, which the three independent variables can explain. At the same time, the rest is influenced by other variables outside the research.   Keywords: service quality, customer dissatisfaction, Variety seeking, Brand switching intention

Abstract

Change management is a structured approach that is used to help employees individually and in teams in transition to new and better conditions. Likewise with the application of flexible management, which is adaptive to drastic changes in socio-economic conditions that directly affect the management of the company. For this reason, human resources transformation is a critical step to be implemented immediately to secure the company in times of crisis due to the Pandemic. Quantitative research that takes a sampling of employees of the food company PT. Aerofood Indonesia examines the process of human resources transformation through a change approach and flexibility. Through cluster analysis, employees can be grouped into five characteristics which at the same time describe the condition of human resources transformation. The clustering analysis that tested the correlation through chi square analysis obtained a probability value of less than five percent, thereby proving that the change management and management flexibility implemented by the company during the Pandemic had a correlation with human transformation in all groups who had the same perspective on changes and flexibility of company management.

Abstract

Undergraduate students who are in pre-employment conditions need to manage their career orientation from an early age. There are still few studies that explore protean career orientation at the pre-employment level (especially at the undergraduate level). This study was aimed to examine the factors that influence the protean career orientation of undergraduate students. It examines the impact of individual adaptability and internal locus of control on protean career orientation, as well as examines the role of academic advisory as a moderator. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 160 samples, which were undergraduate students in Indonesia. Data analysis was performed using the SEM-PLS method. There are several research results obtained: 1) individual adaptability has a positive effect on protean career orientation, 2) internal locus of control has a positive effect on protean career orientation, and 3) academic advisory has no moderating effect on both relationships. These results enrich the literature on the antecedents of protean career orientation. There are several implications of these results, including 1) this finding enriches the literature on the study related to the antecedents of protean career orientation, 2) enriches the literature on protean career orientation with individual objects that are still in preparation to enter the workplace (i.e., students), and 3) this finding can be a reference for higher education institution to facilitate students career planning early.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between self-leadership and innovative behavior in the workplace with self-efficacy and optimism as mediating variables. This study used a convenience sampling method involving 121 Mathematics Teachers in Kebumen District with 121 teachers as respondents. Data were analyzed using quantitatively using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that self-leadership, optimism, and self-efficacy affected innovative behavior, while self-leadership affected optimism and self-efficacy. Besides, optimism and self-efficacy could mediate the relationship between self-leadership and innovative behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to answer why BUMDesa is always entangled with problems and difficulties to develop and governance. The approach applied in this research was correlational quantitative. The study population included 326 BUMDesa in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province spread over 32 sub-districts. The samples were selected through purposive sampling technique. The samples were 9 BUMDesa which had run businesses with fairly good activities in 2 sub-districts with coastal tourism characteristics, namely Labuan and Panimbang. Pandeglang sub-district as the capital of Pandeglang Regency, with trade and service characteristics, was also involved. In accordance with the developed hypothesis, the analysis of inferential statistical data was assessed by using the SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) software starting from the measurement model (outer model), model structure (inner model) and hypothesis test. Based on the results of test towards five hypotheses, it was shown that Village Fund had no significant effect on Competence, Village Fund had a significant effect on BUMDes, Entrepreneurial characteristics had an effect on the Competence in BUMDesa governance, Entrepreneurial characteristics had a positive and significant effect on BUMDesa and Competence had a significant effect on BUMDesa governance. Thus, this study provided an evidence that problematic national BUMDesa governance was confirmed in 9 BUMDesa in 3 sub-districts in Pandeglang Regency.
