Abstract

This is a community service activity which was about English teaching and learning for young learners and its application in classes. The teachers of young learners needs to have knowledge about songs, games and media to teach English which is appropriate with learners’ and era’s need. Furthermore, this workshop is important to facilitate the teachers in giving the fun English materials. In this activitiy the teacher were trained to make the fun applicated media and the newest English nursery songs and games to be applied in their classes. It is hoped that this activity can facilitate the teachers in Kabupaten Pasuruan about the importantce of English learning for Young Learners, also teachers are hoped to be able to apply the fun and effective teaching learning process which is appropriate to the age and ability of the young learners and also appropriate with this era.Keywords: English teaching, teachers, workshop

Abstract

Being a professional teachers is required a number of requirements, such as having an adequate professional education qualification and actively developing themselves through classroom action research activities. Meanwhile, Classroom Action Research activities by most teachers are considered as something difficult and confusing, including for teachers at MTs Mizanul ‘Ulum Sanrobone Takalar District who are community service partners. For this reason, as a solution to these problems, Classroom Action Research Training is conducted. The method used in this activity is the training method. Participants who were targeted partners were 25 teachers. In its implementation, the training takes place in three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this training activity were carried out well and smoothly. The training carried out also produced a Classroom Action Research Guidelines that could be used teachers as a guide in preparing Classroom Action Research. In addition, the training received a positive response from the teachers. This is evidenced from the results of the training evaluation questionnaire analysis which showed that as many as 64% of participants gave a very useful category response. Thus, this Classroom Action Research Training can improve the motivation, knowledge and skills of MTs Mizanul ‘Ulum Sanrobone teachers in Takalar District in conducting Classroom Action Research. Keywords: Classroom Action Research, TeacherABSTRAK Menjadi guru yang profesional dituntut dengan sejumlah persyaratan, seperti memiliki kualifikasi pendidikan profesi yang memadai dan aktif melakukan pengembangan diri melalui kegiatan penelitian tindakan kelas. Sementara, kegiatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas oleh sebagian besar guru dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang sulit dan membingungkan, termasuk bagi guru-guru di MTs Mizanul ‘Ulum Sanrobone Kabupaten Takalar yang menjadi mitra pengabdian masyarakat ini. Untuk itu, sebagai solusi atas permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan Pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode pelatihan. Peserta yang menjadi mitra sasar sebanyak 25 guru. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pelatihan berlangsung dalam tiga tahapan, yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan ini terlaksana dengan baik dan lancar. Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan juga menghasilkan Pedoman Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dapat dijadikan para guru sebagai panduan dalam menyusun Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Selain itu, pelaksanaan pelatihan mendapat respons positif dari para guru. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil analisis kuesioner evaluasi pelatihan yang menunjukkan sebanyak 64% peserta memberikan respons kategori yang sangat bermanfaat. Dengan demikian, Pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, motivasi dan keterampilan guru MTs Mizanul ‘Ulum Sanrobone Kabupaten Takalar dalam menyusun Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Abstract

Entrepreneurial spirit can be developed for school students from elementary, to college students. Students can create and innovate by aiming for market share starting from their own schools then develop more broadly. One of school at Indralaya understands that students need to be equipped with entrepreneurial spirit that is SMAN 1 South Indralaya Ogan Ilir Regency. This community service activities is aimed to develop the student’s entrepreneurial spirit of SMAN 1 Indralaya and defining efforts that have the potential to be developed by students of SMAN 1 Indralaya by utilizing their resources. The form of community service activities is counseling with a mechanism 1) presentation to students about the material of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship 2) question and answer about the material that has been delivered. Participants showed their active participation in this stage which was shown by the spirit of discussion in groups so as to produce business proposals that were in accordance with the regional potential and community needs.Keywords: entrepreneurship, creativity, innovationABSTRAK Jiwa wirausaha dapat dikembangkan kepada siswa sekolah mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga mahasiwa di perguruan tinggi. Siswa dapat  berkreasi dan berinovasi dengan membidik pangsa pasar mulai dari sekolahnya sendiri kemudian berkembang lebih luas. Salah satu sekolah di Indralaya memahami bahwa siswa perlu dibekali jiwa berwirausaha adalah SMAN 1 Indralaya Selatan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan jiwa  kewirausahaan Siswa SMAN 1 Indralaya dan mendefinisikan usaha yang memiliki potensi  untuk dikembangkan siswa SMAN 1 Indralaya dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya yang dimiliki. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah penyuluhan dengan mekanisme 1)presentasi kepada siswa mengenai materi kreativitas, inovasi dan kewirausahaan 2)tanya jawab mengenai materi yang telah disampaikan. Peserta menunjukkan keaktifan dalam mengikuti tahap ini yang ditunjukkan dengan semangat berdiskusi dalam kelompok sehingga menghasilkan usulan usaha yang sesuai dengan potensi daerah dan kebutuhan masyarakat.  Kata kunci : kewirausahaan, kreativitas, inovasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The problem in Bocek Krajan village is the presence of organic waste like vegetables and fruits leftover that are left to rot without any special treatment. In addition there is livestock manure waste like urine or feces and tofu water waste from the tofu processing industry that is close to the civil residence. That kind of things that cause foul odors and environmental pollution around the Bocek Krajan Village. This encourages training in the manufacture of fermentation and granuation fertilizer by involving HIMUBORA youth organizations to improve the productivity of youth organizations by implementing agrocomplex waste management systems through fermentation and granulation so as to realize sustainable agriculture and overcome environmental problems. The method used in this activity is a training method. The results of this activity are orbanic waste in the form of leftover vegetables and fruit, as well as waste water of tofu, and livestock manure can be used as liquid fertilizer and granules Keywords: Waste, Fermentation, granuationABSTRAK Permasalahan pada Desa Bocek Krajan yaitu adanya limbah organik seperti sisa sayur dan buah yang dibiarkan membusuk tanpa ada perlakuan khusus. Selain itu terdapat limbah kotoran ternak seperti urin atau feses dan limbah air tahu dari industri pengolahan tahu yang dekat dengan tempat tinggal warga. Hal-hal tersebut menimbulkan bau busuk dan pencemaran lingkungan sekitar Desa Bocek Krajan. Hal ini yang mendorong adanya kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk fermentation dan granuation dengan melibatkan pemuda karang taruna HIMUBORA guna meningkatkan produktifitas karang taruna dengan penerapan sistem pengelolaan limbah agrokompleks melalui fermentation dan granulation sehingga bisa mewujudkan suistainable agriculture serta mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa metode pelatihan.  Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah limbah orbanik berupa sisa sayur dan buah, serta limbah air tahu, dan kotoran ternak dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk cair dan granul. Kata Kunci: Limbah, Fermentation, granuation

Abstract

A program to train Elementary School teacher in developing science learning media has been conducted in Dapena Elementary School and St Theresia II Catholic Elementary School, Surabaya. The training aims to improve teachers’ skills on making science learning media and teachers’ understanding on science concepts. In this training, teachers have made science learning media on the themes of air, electricity, and energy. According to pre- and post-test result analysis, teachers gain knowledge on scientific approach learning and science concept related to air, electricity, and energy themes. The calculated gain of average can be categorized as medium gain. In addition, according to the evaluation by participants, the program has been conducted very well.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe ability to write scientific articles for teachers is still quite low. While the career development of a teacher, especially in Submitting a Credit Score for promotion,  it is very necessary to publish scientific articles as a condition. The writing of this article is part of the implementation of community activities with the aim of increasing teacher understanding in writing and publishing scientific articles carried out in the form of training (workshops). The methods used in this training are lectures, questions and answers, practice to mentoring. The instrument used to measure teachers' understanding abilities related to writing and publication was a pre-test and post-test questionnaire with a Likert scale and was validated. In addition, to measure the level of success of community service activities, an evaluation questionnaire was given to the participants. Based on the results of questionnaire data obtained that the teacher's understanding in writing to submit / publication in online journals increased. Keywords:  Writing, Publication, Scientific Articles, Understanding, Teachers  ABSTRAKKemampuan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah bagi para guru masih cukup rendah. Sementara pengembangan karir seorang guru terutama dalam Pengajuan Angka Kredit untuk kenaikan golongan sangat diperlukan publikasi artikel ilmiah sebagai salah satu syarat. Tulisan artikel ini merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan kegiatan masyarakat dengan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk Pelatihan (workshop). Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini yakni ceramah, tanya jawab, praktek hingga pendampingan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman guru terkait menulis dan publikasi adalah angket pre-test dan post-test dengan skala likert dan telah divalidasi. Selain itu, secara umum untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegaitan diberikan instrumen angket evaluasi kepada para peserta. Berdasarkan hasil isian data angket diperoleh bahwa pemahaman guru dalam menulis hingga mensubmit/publikasi pada jurnal online meningkat. Kata Kunci: Menulis, Publikasi, Artikel Ilmiah, Pemahaman, Guru

Abstract

This program is aimed to increase teacher competency through PhET simulation training. This activity is expected to be used as reference material for teachers to implement practical simulations that caused by time constraints and incomplete laboratory facilities and laboratory facilities. Community service activities are carried out using training, discussion, and mentoring methods. Based on the results of this program, 76.9% of the training participants really need knowledge of laboratory management. The trainees looked at the PhET simulation material as very relevant to the field of physics. This is proofed by a response of 76.9% which states that the PhET simulation material is very relevant to learning physics. The trainees also rated very well (92.3%) the benefits of the knowledge of the use of this media in the physics learning process. This training can be reference for trainees to carry out practicum activities virtually in their respective schools. The trainees found of that PhET simulation easy to understand. This condition can be seen from the results of a survey which stated that 92.3% of the training participants answered that it was easy to understand this material.Keywords: Phet Simulation, Physics, Teacher Competency Improvement, Virtual Laboratory.ABSTRAK Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan PhET simulation. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan rujukan bagi guru untuk menerapkan simulasi praktikum yang disebabkan oleh keterbatasan waktu dan belum lengkapnya prasarana dan sarana laboratorium praktikum. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan, diskusi, dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil program ini, 76,9% peserta pelatihan sangat membutuhkan pengetahuan pengelolaan laboratorium. Peserta pelatihan memandang materi PhET simulation sangat relevan dengan bidang fisika. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan respon sebesar 76,9% yang menyatakan bahwa materi PhET simulation sangat relevan dengan pembelajaran fisika. Peserta pelatihan juga menilai sangat baik (92,3%) terhadap manfaat pengetahuan penggunaan media ini pada proses pembelajaran fisika. Pelatihan ini bisa menjadi acuan bagi peserta pelatihan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum secara virtual di sekolah masing-masing. Peserta pelatihan menilai PhET simulation mudah dipahami. Abstract

Todays, PPKn teachers in MTs in Ponorogo district need information and guidance to be able to make modules as teaching materials. The module is useful for teaching and learning activities in class. The purpose of this activity is that PPKn teachers in MTs in Kabupaten Ponorogo are able to: 1) Understand the material about modules, 2) Understand the procedures for preparing modules, and 3) Arrange / Make PPKn modules for SMP / MTs. this activity uses training methods and practice in making modules, lectures and frequently asked questions. From 13 participants producing PPKn modules for SMP / MTs grade 7 and 8. 12 participants were able to complete 1 chapter module, while 1 other participant was able to complete 1 module for grade 8 SMP / MTs by Mrs. Sri Harmanti, S.Pd from State MTs 3 Ponorogo. Modul tersebut berguna bagi kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas.  Tujuan kegiatan ini agar guru-guru PPKn di MTs Kabupaten Ponorogo mampu: 1) Memahami materi tentang  modul, 2) Memahami tata cara penyusunan modul, dan 3) Menyusun/Membuat modul PPKn untuk SMP/MTs. kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan praktik dalam membuat modul, ceramah dan tanya jawab.  Dari 13 peserta menghasilkan modul PPKn untuk SMP/MTs kelas 7 dan 8. 12 peserta mampu menyelesaikan 1 bab modul, sedangkan 1 peserta lain mampu menyelesaikan 1 modul kelas 8 SMP/MTs oleh Ibu Sri Harmanti, S.Pd dari MTs Negeri 3 Ponorogo. Saat ini buku tersebut sedang proses revisi dan pengurusan ISBN. Kata kunci: bahan ajar modul, guru PPKn

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe biggest challenge for Mathematics teachers is mastering Mathematics material with its abstract, logical, systematic and structured character for itself before teaching it to students. The teacher must mastering mathematical objects such as facts, concepts, operations, and principles and be able to describe these objects in every Math material. Not only that, the challenges from the pedagogical aspects also forced teachers to be able to think about how to teach abstract Mathematics material to students so that learning objectives are achieved. The choice of context and learning media is also an important aspect contributing to the success of the teaching and learning process. However, all these aspects are often a problem among teachers, especially at the high school level. Weaknesses in mastering the material as well as weaknesses in pedagogical aspects often arise in teaching mathematics. This certainly raises many ideas that can be discussed so that weaknesses can be minimized. One of them is improving understanding of Mathematics objects and emphasizing the choice of context and learning media. In this Community Service activity, the teacher is introduced to the use of videoscribe to develop media with local context in teaching Mathematics objects. Through this activity a change in understanding of mathematical objects, the roles and functions of health and learning media went better. In addition, participants can run videoscribe to create learning media that integrates all of the above aspects.Keywords: local context, learning media, mathematics object, videoscribe  ABSTRAKTantangan terbesar bagi guru Matematika adalah menguasai materi Matematika dengan karakternya yang abstrak, logis, sistematis dan terstruktur untuk dirinya sendiri sebelum mengajarkannya kepada siswa. Guru harus menguasai objek matematika seperti fakta, konsep, operasi, dan prinsip dan mampu menguraikan objek-objek tersebut di setiap materi Matematika. Tak hanya itu, tantangan dari aspek pedagogis juga memaksa guru untuk dapat memikirkan bagaimana cara mengajarkan materi Matematika yang abstrak tersebut kepada siswa agar tujuan pembelajaran tercapai. Pemilihan konteks dan media pembelajaran sekiranya juga menjadi aspek penting penyumbang keberhasilan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Namun, semua aspek-aspek tersebut seringkali menjadi permasalahan di kalangan Guru terutama pada level SMA. Kelemahan penguasaan materi serta kelemahan dalam aspek pedagogis seringkali muncul dalam pengajaran matematika. Hal ini tentunya memunculkan banyak ide yang dapat diperbincangkan agar kelemahan dapat diminimalisir. Salah satunya adalah peningkatan pemahan terhadap objek Matematika serta penekanan pada pemilihan konteks dan media pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, guru diperkenalkan pada penggunaan videoscribe untuk mengembangkan media dengan konteks lokal dalam mengajarkan objek Matematika. Melalui kegiatan ini terjadi perubahan pemahaman mengenai objek matematika, peran dan fungsi kontkes dan media pembelajaran ke arah lebih baik. Abstract

ABSTRACTTourism is a new source of economic growth in NTB. Data from the NTB tourism office noted that the progress of the tourism sector in NTB province was marked by the increasing number of foreign and domestic tourist arrivals each year. In 2016 the number of tourists visiting NTB was 3.1 million, in 2017 the realization reached 3.8 million. This means exceeding the 2017 target of 3.5 million. While in 2018 it is targeted to be able to attract up to 4 million tourists. The fishing market has its own attraction in developing the potential of its human and natural resources. Based on the results of the preliminary study, specifically identified the main problems faced by the partner group partners, among others, the field of management and management of tourist villages, the lack of skills in processing typical snacks, marketing systems that are still conventional. The method used in this community service activity is to use a CBT-based community participation approach that promotes lecture, discussion, practice, and demonstration methods as well as the presentation of results. Village tourism, community participation ABSTRAKPariwisata adalah sumber pertumbuhan ekonomi baru di NTB. Data dinas pariwisata NTB mencatat, kemajuan sektor pariwisata di Provinsi NTB ditandai dengan meningkatnya angka kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara dan nusantara setiap tahun. Pada tahun 2016 jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke NTB sebanyak 3,1 Juta, tahun 2017 realisasinya mencapai 3,8 juta. Ini berarti melebihi target tahun 2017 sebanyak 3,5 juta. Sementara tahun 2018 ditargetkan bisa menarik kunjungan hingga 4 juta wisatawan. Pasar pancingan memiliki daya tarik tersendiri dalam mengembangan potensi sumber daya manusia dan alam yang dimiliki. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan, secara spesifik teridentifikasi permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh mitra kelompok mitra antara lain, bidang manajemen dan pengelolaan desa wisata, kuranganya keterampilan dalam mengolah jajanan khas, system pemasaran yang masih konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipasi masyarakat berbasis CBT (community based tourism) yang mengedepankan metode ceramah, diskusi, praktikum, dan demonstrasi serta presentasi hasil.
