JIPI (Jurnal IPA dan Pembelajaran IPA) aims to serve original articles on the latest issues and trends in high-quality research focused on technology-integrated science and/or science learning (chemistry, biology, physics, and environment). Technology integration includes learning media, curriculum, assessment processes and science learning outcomes, as well as the application of the latest technology in pure science research. The editors welcome submissions of papers on recent theoretical and experimental research related to: Results of theoretical and empirical research studies on science learning with integrated technology. We invite manuscripts that investigate science learning with the integration of web-based technology, Android, Arduino, nanotechnology, virtual labs, technological and pedagogical content knowledge research, STEM and/or STEAM, sociological issues, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other relevant issues. relevant to science learning. The results of research on the application of science learning media which focuses on studies related to the latest trends in the use of technology-based science learning media at all levels of education and in society. The results of research related to the implementation of the science learning curriculum (chemistry, biology and physics) have contributed to developing the latest trends in the implementation of the science learning curriculum with the integration of technology at all levels of education including science learning design, competency analysis and syllabus. The results of research related to the assessment of science learning processes and outcomes contribute to developing the latest trends in technology-integrated science learning assessment at all levels of education. The results of research related to science teacher education include original theoretical and empirical studies, including professional preparation of teachers, implementation of their work, and/or career development based on the latest technology. Research results related to technology-based science learning in everyday life outside the formal classroom. Papers should examine experiences in environments such as the community, home, internet, museums, and other aspects that develop interest, knowledge, and/or application of science. Science learning that emphasizes attention to aspects of problems and factors related to equality. Research results related to pure science research that is currently trending (chemistry, physics, biology and the environment).

Abstract

Physics is a science that discusses every result of studying the answers to the question of causes, as well as natural phenomena that can occur. The most complex problem experienced by students is the lack of skills in solving physics problems for students. The low problem solving ability of students resulted in the ability to master the basic concepts of students. This study aimed to observe the escalation of problem solving skills after the implementation of the PIL learning model in physics at MAN 6 Aceh Besar. This research is included in the type of quasi-experimental research by designing a nonequivalent control group using 2 class samples as the experimental class and the control class. The population of this study was 64 students with 43 students participating in the study. Purposive sampling method was used in order to select the study sample. The collected data was analyzed using an independent-t test technique. This study observed that PIL learning models gave a positive impact to student autonomous learning and problem solving skills. The escalation of both variables was observed from the N-Gain score. On the problem solving skills, the control group reached 0.50 N-Gain score and the eksperimen group reached 0.79.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are one of the skills that must be possessed by students in facing the demands of the 21st century. However, Indonesian students' HOTS currently tends to be low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL using STEM approach on students’ HOTS and learning activities. The sample of this study was 48 Junior High students who separated in two clases (experiment and control group). All the students were of 8th grade in SMPN 2 Ajung with a non-equivalent control group design. HOTS data was obtained by giving a pretest and posttest with 10 multiple choice questions. Furthermore, the learning activities was observed via activies observation protocol during the learning process. The application of the PBL using STEM approach was quite effective in the experimental class with a posttest average of 85. This was confirmed by the paired sample test of 0.001 0.05 which could be concluded that the PBL uisng STEM approach had a significant effect on HOTS and learning activities. This finding is an alternative integrative model innovation between PBL and STEM based on students' skill levels

Abstract

The typical geological structure of West Sumatra causes a high risk of earthquakes. Therefore, the ability of disaster context science literacy (LSKB) needs to be developed in order to students can apply science to solve problems related earthquakes. The research aims to describe the characteristics of the early science literacy abilities of science education students about earthquake markers. The knowledge aspect of scientific literacy is focused on the procedural and epistemic domains. Determination of research subjects by purposive sampling involving 70 students. Data collection was carried out with thorough tests and surveys using the LSKB Test and the Disaster Preparedness Questionnaire. Data were analyzed quantitatively-descriptive. The results showed that: 1) The level of mastery in the domain of procedural and epistemic knowledge was 38.18 and 19.12, included in the very low category, 2) In procedural knowledge, students already had sufficient knowledge in determining variables but had problems making graphs and graphical interpretations, 3) In epistemic knowledge, analysis and inference most mastered by students, 4) the characteristics of procedural and epistemic knowledge are content novelty, contextuality, dimensions of inquiry, scientific exploration and data visualization. It can be concluded that the level of mastery of procedural and epistemic domain knowledge in science students is still moderate, and it requires training in the three domains of scientific literacy

Abstract

The difficulty of students in learning chemistry subjects is due to the use of media that is not in accordance with the characteristics of students who want fun-based learning. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a Lego hydrocarbon learning media that is suitable for use as a learning medium for hydrocarbon materials. This study aims to produce a feasible and practical Lego hydrocarbon learning media. The feasibility of the Lego hydrocarbon learning media in terms of two criteria, namely (1) validity is determined from the validation results, (2) practicality is determined from student response questionnaires. This type of research is research and development of the ADDIE model. The results showed that the Lego hydrocarbons learning media was suitable for use as learning media with the eligibility criteria measured from the results of the validity of the material aspects and the aspects of the Lego hydrocarbons media of 0.95 and 0.92, respectively, with very valid criteria. The percentage of practicality from the results of student responses in the initial field trial and the main field trial were 90.42% and 95.64%, respectively, with both very practical criteria. Thus, the Lego hydrocarbon learning media is appropriate to be used as a chemistry learning medium

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis jenis makanan dan minuman yang dikonsumsi monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) di Kawasan Wisata Hutan Mangrove Kuala Langsa Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kawasan mangrove Kuala Langsa Kecamatan langsa Barat Provinsi Aceh. Kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret, dan pengamatan dimulai pukul 08.00 sampai 10.30 WIB dengan interval 15 menit. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kera ekor panjang, dan subjek penelitian adalah kera ekor panjang yang terdapat sepanjang jalan hutan manggrove, sehingga ditetapkan Nasi, mie, martabak, roti, jagung, semangka, daun muda manggrove, bakal bunga manggrove, buah manggrove, batang muda jenis makanan dan Air kemasan seperti minuman soda, minuman teh kemasan, minuman ion kemasan, kopi, sirup, air mineral, air kelapa, air tebu, air sungai dan air sumur jenis minuman dengan metode one zero sampling dengan metode survei. Analisis data dilakukan dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) mengkonsumsi jenis makanan adalah Nasi, mie, martabak, roti, jagung, semangka, daun muda manggrove, bakal bunga manggrove, buah manggrove, dan batang muda mangrove. Jenis minuman yang dikonsumsi  adalah Air kemasan seperti minuman soda, minuman teh kemasan, minuman ion kemasan, kopi, sirup, air mineral, air kelapa, air tebu, air sungai dan air sumur.semua jenis makanan baik itu makanan alami maupun olahan, sedangkan pada jenis minuman rata-rata untuk semua kategori sebesar 10% hanya pada minuman ion kemasan, dan air mineral.Kesimpulan diperoleh adalah (1) Monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) memakan semua jenis makanan alami dan makanan olahan, (2) Jenis minuman yang dikonsumsi rata-rata untuk semua kategori sebesar 10% hanya pada minuman ion kemasan, dan air mineral, (3) Terjadi perubahan makanan dan minuman yang dikonsumsi oleh kera ekor panjang di kawasan ekosistem mangrove Kuala Langsa  Provinsi Aceh.

Abstract

The research about quantitative analysis towards higher order thinking skill of chemistry multiple questions for university admission is carried out in the acceleration class of SMAN Modal Bangsa. This research aims to analyze the test of validity, reliability, correlation between difficulty index and discriminatory power, functioning and nonfunctioning distractors of chemistry multiple questions quantitatively which are frequently offered to students in national university admission. It used a descriptive-quantitative method and purposive sampling technique. Students of the acceleration class were selected purposely because they have been frequently answering the higher order thinking questions. Data were collected using 20 multiple choice questions developed from questions banks. Before questions used for students, the questions were assessed by two validators. The result of the validity test shows that 100% questions were valid with an average scale score of 0.93 (best valid). Further analysis used a reliability test to indicate the correlation of item score and total score of questions symbolized by Cronbach alpha of 0.94, 0.92 and 0.89 for aspect of content, construction, language or culture, respectively. The correlation between difficulty index and discriminatory power was reliable with correlation coefficient of 0.842. The final analysis is done towards distractor function, and it shows that overall 83.75% was functioning distractors. Then, nine questions or 45% met ideal expectations with four functioning distractors. Therefore, the most higher order thinking chemistry multiple questions have good quality or feasible to be used in university admission.    Keywords: higher order thinking, validity, reliability, difficulty index, discriminatory power and distractors

Abstract

Facilities need in the learning process; among the conveniences that can are the application of flexible teaching materials such as electronic student worksheets (E-LKPD). Student worksheets that apply in schools are still general. Good student worksheets are attractive and increase student insight. The study aimed to examine learners' feasibility and response to E-LKPD based on local potential. This research used the development model of ADDIE  (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). E-LKPD feasibility was assessed based on the average assessment result by material experts, media experts, and practitioners (teachers) with a feasibility percentage of 87,51, classified as very feasible. Learner's response obtained from average assessment on learners' response in big scale test with a percentage of 78,31, classified as attractive. This statement implies that    E-LKPD-based local potential was feasible for use in learning.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang sering muncul dalam pembelajaran fisikayaitu kurang aktifnya peserta didik karena pembelajaran yang monoton, sehingga rerata nilai UN selalu menurun. Solusi yang diberikan yaitu pembelajaran yang sesuai keinginan peserta didik pada era pendidikan 4.0 diataranya menggunakan Laboratorium Fisika virtual atau maya dari portal rumah belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model flicla proling berbasis portal rumah belajar terintegrasi Si Asseb pada materi hukum Newton di SMAN 1 Matangkuli Aceh Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan melalui model pembelajaran flicla proling dengan berbasis e-learning, dalam hal ini adalah kelas maya, laboratorium maya dan sistem evaluasi Si Asseb dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan aktivitas belajar dari 2,4 (kurang baik) menjadi 3,5 (baik) dan 3,7 (sangat baik) setelah penerapan model pembelajaran flicla proling. Selain itu terjadi peningkatan juga pada ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum perlakuan rata-rata nilai ujian adalah 23%, meningkat menjadi 40% pada siklus II dan 86% pada siklus III. Penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis kelas maya, laboratorium maya dan sistem evaluasi Si Asseb sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013 dan pendidikan 4.0.

Abstract

The research has been carried out to assess the rate of desertification of the karst ecosystem regarding land damage in the Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar District. This study aims to determine the level of damage to the karst ecosystem and its effect on water quality and to determine the condition of land cover in the Mata Ie karst ecosystem., Aceh Besar District. The data collection method used is using Landsat 8 satellite imagery to assess the level of damage to the karst ecosystem area. The assessment of water quality and quantity was carried out by means of a direct survey in the Mata Ie karts ecosystem area by analyzing BOD, COD, TDS, Turbidity, DO, Temperature and pH. The results of the assessment of the level of damage to the kart ecosystem area of the Mata Ie area have changed. The results of the study prove that due to land clearing for plantation activities in the Mata Ie area and also as a tourist spot, the conditions in the area are not desertification, Karst area which consists of desertification types, namely karst vegetation cover of 75% so it is referred to as non-desertification while rock outcrop of 5.79% is also not desertified

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui morfologi dan anatomi tipe stomata dari famili piperaceae yang terdapat di Kota Langsa. Penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat dan mahasiswa tentang morfologi dan anatomi tipe stomata tanaman dari famili piperaceae. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai data awal tentang morfologi dan anatomi tumbuhan dari famili piperaceae yang terdapat di Kota Langsa.  Metode yang digunakan diskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan dan menginterpretasi tipe stomata pada daun  famili piperaceae.  Hasil penelitian tumbuhan famili piperaceae yang ditemukan di daerah kota langsa sebanyak lima spesies tanaman yaitu lada (Piper ningrum), suruhan (Peperomia pellucida), Sirih Kuning (Piper betle), sirih hijau (Piper betle), dan Merah (Piper crocatum).  Maka dapat diketahui bahwa secara morofologi tumbuhan famili piperaceae merupakan kelompok tumbuhan dikotil. Pada umumnya family piperaceae memiliki ciri-ciri  dengan sistem perakaran tunggang, dengan ciri-ciri batangnya vobubilis disertai dengan tampaknya nodus pada batang yang disertai dengan adanya sulur namun ada juga berbatang herba yang tumbuh tegak dengan percabangan batang monopodial. Walaupun kelima spesies tumbuhan tergolong dalam satu famili yang sama yaitu piperaceae, namun secara morfologi maupun anatomi tipe sel stomatanya memiliki perbedaan pada masing-masing spesies. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan tiga tipe stomata pada tumbuhan family piperaceae yaitu Tipe stomata anomocytic, tipe tertracytic dan tipe cyclocytic.Kata kunci: morfologi,  anatomi, tipe stomata, famili piperaceae.  Abstract. The aim of this research is to know the morphology and anatomy of stomata type from piperaceae family in Langsa City. Research is expected to provide information to the community and students about the morphology and anatomy of plant stomatal types from the piperaceae family. The results can be used as early data about the morphology and anatomy of plants from the family piperaceae found in Langsa City. The method used is descriptive qualitative to describe and interpret the type of stomata on the leaves of the family piperaceae. Piper betel (Piper betle), Piper betle (Green Piper betle) and Red (Piper crocatum) betel (Piper betle), Piper betle (Piper betle), and Piper betel (Piper betel) were found in five different species of pepper (Piper ningrum). So it can be seen that the morofologi plant family piperaceae is a group dikotil plants. In general, the family piperaceae has characteristics with the root system of tunggang, with the trunk of vobubilis trunk accompanied by apparently nodes in the stem accompanied by the presence of tendrils but there is also trunked herbs that grow upright with the branching of monopodial rods. Although the five plant species belong to the same family of piperaceae, morphologically or anatomically, the stomatal cell type differs in each species. From the results of the study found three types of stomata in family plant piperaceae that is Anomocytic stomata type, tertracytic type and cyclocytic type.Keywords: morphology, anatomy, stomata type, family piperaceae
