Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa asing lekat dengan konten budaya asing sesuai dengan asal penutur bahasa tersebut. Jika siswa belajar Bahasa Inggris, Maka siswa belajar budaya Inggris. Penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi pendekatan yang berbeda, yaitu pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan konten “Local Wisdom”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Adapun desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian mix method berupa explanatory. Penelitian kuantitatif dilaksanakan untuk menentukan level minat siswa, kemudian diikuti penelitian kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis konten “Local Wisdom” membuat minat siswa berada pada level tersebut. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kuantitatif berupa angket dan untuk mengumpulkan data kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Interpretasi dari hasil angket yang diberikan menunjukkan hasil yang positif, ini dibuktikan dengan hasil rata-rata yang mencapai 86.73%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis konten “Local Wisdom” sangat tinggi. Alasan mendasar dari minatnya siswa dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris adalah senang ketika belajar Bahasa Inggris, dan juga siswa jadi lebih mengetahui bagian-bagian Lopi Sandeq dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of exam items based on qualitative analysis, focusing on aspects of content, construction, language, and the alignment of material with student capabilities. This study is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The primary data sources for this thesis research are the reviews from three informants, while the secondary data comes from related documents, including blueprints, questions, and answer keys for the final school exam in Arabic language subjects. The research instrument is a checklist filled out by the reviewers. The qualitative analysis in this research is tested using the panel technique, which examines exam items based on the rules of item writing, including reviews of the content, construction, and language/cultural aspects. The results of this study show that out of fifty exam items, five items did not meet the criteria in terms of content, eight items did not meet the criteria in terms of construction, four items were deficient in language aspects, and twelve items were inadequate in terms of alignment with student capabilities. Thus, out of fifty final school exam items, 24 items were considered good, and 26 items were considered poor. The implications of this study emphasize the need for improvements in the preparation of final school exam items to enhance the quality of evaluations and their alignment with student capabilities, as well as the importance of training for exam item writers to improve their competence in creating items that meet established standards

Abstract

Communication is aprocess whereby a person or several people, groups, organizations, and society related information in order to connect with the environment and other poeple. Educationis the internalization of values in the process of human development which has implications for the formation of character which leads to human behavior. Building character is an effort to imrpove, foster, and shape character so that later they are born as human beings with good character. Communication is a method in the process of character building, meaning that in building character, effective communication is needed. This paper describe a comparison of the effectiviteness of communication between parents and teachers in building student character, especially for fifth grade students at sdn 11 Parepare.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning strategy in improving the Arabic vocabulary mastery of eighth-grade students at MTs Nurul Ilmi Barukku in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental research type and a pre-experimental design in the form of pre-test and post-test. The research sample consists of 18 randomly selected students. The results show a significant improvement in students' vocabulary mastery after implementing the TAI strategy. The average pre-test score of 20.83 increased to 83.89 in the post-test. This indicates that the application of the TAI cooperative learning strategy is effective in enhancing students' Arabic vocabulary mastery, particularly related to الْمِهْنَةُ الطِبِّيَّة (medical professions). The study concludes that the TAI strategy can be a good alternative for Arabic vocabulary learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of premarital courses in promoting family harmony at the Office of Religious Affairs in Tubo Sendana Subdistrict, focusing on underage couples during the period of 2020-2022. The research addresses two primary issues: the implementation of the premarital courses and the factors that support or hinder their execution. A qualitative research method with a field study approach was employed, where primary data were gathered through interviews with the local community and secondary data were collected from various literature sources. The findings indicate that the premarital courses were conducted in accordance with existing regulations; however, several obstacles were identified, including inadequate facilities and negative public perceptions regarding the importance of these courses. Supporting factors included the strategic location of the Office of Religious Affairs and the availability of competent instructors. Based on these findings, the study recommends improving the supporting facilities and intensifying public outreach to enhance understanding of the significance of premarital courses in fostering family harmony.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' understanding of the matan al-jurumiyah text, which is a foundational text in the study of Arabic grammar (nahwu) at MTs. The research employs a qualitative approach and was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhlas Addary DDI Takkalasi. Data collection methods included observations, interviews with students and educators, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that some students can explain, define, and apply their understanding of the matan al-jurumiyah text, while others can only understand it without being able to apply it. The main supporting factor is the high motivation to learn, while the main inhibiting factor is a lack of enthusiasm among students. The study concludes that motivation and support are crucial in the learning process of Arabic grammar. The implications of this research suggest that to improve students' understanding, more effective teaching strategies and greater support from educators are necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of sipakatau and sipakalebbi values in UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare in managing the organization to welcome era 5.0 and how the leadership and role of the principal and all stakeholders in UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare in managing the organization, and what are the solutions given to overcome the problem of the waning of sipakatau and sipakalebbi values in managing the organization at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 9 Parepare. Sipakatau humanizes each other and sipakalebbi respects each other. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, descriptive methods in this study with the aim of describing the implementation of sipakatau and sipakalebbi values at UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare in managing organizations to meet Era 5.0. The data sources in this study were conducted by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of sipakatau and sipakalebbi values in organizational management had long been applied in UPTD SMP Negeri 9 Parepare in improving the performance of all stakeholders and principals as leaders in carrying out their duties and functions in accordance with the application of sipakatau and sipakalebbi culture in their management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using video media in enhancing the listening skills (maharah al-istima') of eighth-grade students at MTs Al-Amanah Waikaya. The specific objectives are to 1) assess the students' listening skills before the implementation of video media, 2) measure the students' listening skills after the use of video media, and 3) determine whether there is a significant improvement in listening skills following the use of video media. The research employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, using pre-test and post-test methods with a sample of 23 students. Data analysis was performed using inferential statistical tests via SPSS 26. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' listening skills after the application of video media, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), confirming the research hypothesis. The implications of these findings suggest that video media can be an innovative and effective tool for teaching Arabic language skills. Recommendations include the routine integration of video media into the curriculum and training for educators to further enhance students' listening skills.

Abstract

This research aims to train expressive skills in the language aspect with creative hand puppet games in group B at Al-Imaniah Kindergarten, Parepare City, where the results of the researcher's initial observations saw that there were several children who were developing their language skills, especially expressive language which had not yet developed optimally. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The research results showed that before the creative hand puppet game was implemented, there were several children who had not been able to develop their expressive language skills. After the researchers implemented the creative hand puppet game using the fairy tale storytelling method, there was an increase in children who previously did not know about expressive language and became knowledgeable. From the results of this activity, the researcher concluded that there was development of expressive language with creative hand puppet games, where all assessment indicators improved.
