THE EFFECT OF THE LEARNING HABIT AND  THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT ON THE LEARNING RESULT IN DOCUMENT MULTIPLICATION HANDLING SUBJECT MATTER OF THE STUDENTS IN GRADE XI OF THE OFFICE ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WIKARYA OF KARANGANYAR IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013. Skripsi: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, July 2013.The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) whether or not there is a significant effect of the learning habit on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013; (2) whether or not there is a significant effect of the physical environment on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013; and (3) whether or not there is a simultaneously significant effect of the learning habit and the physical environment on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013.This research used the descriptive quantitative research method. The population of the research was all of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013 as many as 91students. The samples of the research consisted of 51 students and were taken by using the proportionate random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire and documentation. They were then analyzed by using the multiple linear regression technique of analysis.The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a significant effect of the learning habit on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013 as indicated by the value of rcount = 0.506 > that of rtable= 0.276 at the significance level of 5% ; (2) there is a significant effect of the physical environment on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013 as shown by the value of rcount = 0.484 > that of rtable= 0.276 at the significance level of 5%; and (3) there is a simultaneously significant effect of the learning habit and the physical environment on the learning result in Document Multiplication Handling subject matter of the students in Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of Vocational High School Wikarya of Karanganyar in Academic Year 2012/2013 pointed out by the value of Fcount = 15.742 > that of rtable= 3.191 at the significance level of 5%.The multiple linear regression equation is ? = 26.769 + 0.547 X1 + 0.424 X2. The simultaneous contribution of the independent variables on the dependent variable (R2) is 39.6%. The relative contribution of the learning habit to the learning result is 52.85%, and that of the physical environment to the learning result is 47.15%. In addition, the effective contribution of the learning habit to the learning result is 20.93%, and that of the physical environment to the learning result is 18.68%.Keywords: Learning habit, physical environment, and learning result.

Abstract

The objectives of  this research are  to  investigate: (1)  the correlation between  the use of internet  and  the  learning  achievement  of  the  students  in  Grade  X  of  Vocational  High School  Muhammadiyah  1  of  Sragen  in  Academic  Year  2012/2013;  (2)  the  correlation between  the  learning  activeness  in  peer  group  and  the  learning  achievement  of  the students in Grade X of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 1 of Sragen in Academic Year 2012/2013; and (3) the correlation of the use of internet and the learning activeness in peer group to the  learning achievement of the students in Grade X of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah  1  of Sragen  in Academic Year  2012/2013.  This  research  used the  descriptive  quantitative  method.  The  population  of  the  research  was  all  of  the students in Grade X of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 1 of Sragen in Academic Year 2012/2013 as many as 264 students. The samples of the research consisted of 145 students, and they were taken by using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire and documentation. They were then analyzed by using the multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research are  as  follows:  (1)  there  is  a  correlation  between  the  use  of  internet  and  the  learning achievement of  the students  in Grade X of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 1 of Sragen  in Academic Year 2012/2013 as  indicated by  the value of rcount = 0.420 >  that of rtable  =  0.1371  at  the  significance  level  of  5%;  (2)  there  is  a  correlation  between  the learning activeness in peer group and the learning achievement of the students in Grade X of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 1 of Sragen  in Academic Year 2012/2013 as shown by the value of rcount = 0.413 > that of rtable = 0.1371 at the significance level of 5%;  and  (3)  there  is  a  simultaneous  correlation  of  the  use  of  internet  and  the  learning activeness  in  peer  group  to  the  learning  achievement  of  the  students  in  Grade  X  of Vocational  High  School Muhammadiyah  1  of  Sragen  in  Academic  Year  2012/2013  as signified by  the value of Fcount = 30.986 >  that of Ftable = 3.06 at  the significance  level of 5%. The multiple linear regression is ? = 51.211 + 0.454 X1 + 0.210 X2. The value of the simultaneous contribution of  the  independent variables  to  the dependent variable  (R2) = 0.304.  The  relative  contribution  of  the  use  of  internet  to  the  learning  achievement  is 50.86%, and that of the learning activeness in peer group to the learning achievement is 49.14%. The effective contribution of  the use of  internet  to  the learning achievement  is 15.45%,  and  that  of  the  learning  activeness  in  peer  group  to  the  learning  achievement is14.93%.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) to a partially significant effect of the work supervision and the work motivation on the work satisfaction of the staff of the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Surakarta City (2) and to  a simultaneously significant effect of the work supervision and the work motivation on the work satisfaction of the staff of the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Surakarta City. This research used the descriptive quantitative research method. Its population was all of the staffs of the Office of Education, Youth, and Sports of Surakarta City as many as 80 persons. The samples of the research consisted of 49 persons or 60% of the population. They were taken by using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire, and they were then statistically analyzed by using the correlational and multiple regression analyses. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a partially significant effect of the work supervision and the work motivation on the work satisfaction (2) and there is a simultaneously significant effect of the work supervision and the work motivation on the work satisfaction. Each independent variable has a contribution to the dependent variable. The relative contribution of the work supervision to the work satisfaction is 43.60%, and that of the work motivation to the work satisfaction is 56.40%. Furthermore, the effective contribution of the work supervision to the work satisfaction is 29.33%, and that of the work motivation to the work satisfaction is 37.95%.Keywords: supervision, motivation, and work satisfaction

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to find out (1) the implementation of complaint management in Customer Service Department of PT. Telkom Surakarta; (2) the customers? response to the implementation of complaint management; (3) some obstacles faced and the solution given by PT. Telkom in implementing complaint management to the customers.This research used a single embedded case study with the qualitative method. The sources of the research were informants, locations, documents or archives. The samples of the research were taken by using the purposive sampling technique and the snowball sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation and were then validated by using the data source and data gathering method triangulations. They were analyzed by using the interactive technique of analysis.The research show that the implementation of complaint management in improving a first-rate service in Customer Service Department of PT. Telkom Surakarta that had been carried out, had been appropriate to the determined procedures for the customers? satisfaction, although it was necessary to make some improvements in managing the customers? complaints.  Keywords: complaint, customer, excellent service and customer service.

Abstract

This qualitative study aimed to find out: How implementation recitation method used to improve the activity learning; obstacles encountered in implementing the method of recitation; Efforts are made in order to increase the learning activity. sources of data from informants, events and documents. Sampling techniques purposive sampling and snow ball sampling. Data collection interview, observation and documentation. The validity of the data with techniques Data triangulation and triangulation methods. Analysis of the data analysis techniques interactive. The results showed that: Implementation methods Recitation includes: Provision of duty and their teachers assign tasks instructions after explaining the material. Execution of tasks that teachers provides the opportunity for students to try to do the task according to their ability. Accountability of duty for teachers corrected simultaneously assess the results of student work. barriers to implementation recitation method: Students are bored. Students lazy to do task. The teacher gives the task a difficult language to understand. Facilities owned less supportive of learning in teaching. Effort performed: The teacher gives the task with varying types of tasks. Teachers apply the principle of reward and punishment. Teacher explains one a matter of simple language. Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to know : (1) is there any influence on techer communication skill on the student learning motivation (2) is there any  influence on teacher?s emotional intelligent on the student?s learning motivation (3) is there any influence teacher?s comunication skill and emotional intelligent on the student learning motivation. This reasearch is located at SMK Ksristen 1 Surakarta.Appropriate with the problem and purpose of this research, the research uses Non Experiment Correlasion, in Quantitative. Population of this research are 121 students office administration, and Sampel of this research are 97 students. Sampling technic what used in  this research is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Technic data collecting for variable communication skill, emotional intelligent, and Learning Motivation used questionnaire technical. While data analysis technic, researcher used regresi ganda analysis with two dependent variable and one independent variable. Based on the result the research, researcher can conclude : (1) the higher variable teacher?s communication skill will positive influence on the student?s learning motivation, because is bigger than or 0,2064 > 0,202. (2) the higher variable teacher?s emotional intelligent will positive influence on the student?s learning motivation, because is bigger than or 0,2206 > 0,202. (3) the higher teacher?s communication skill and emotional intelligent will positive influence on the student?s learning motivation, because is bigger than or 4,843 > 3,09. Relative Contribution of communication skill is 46,75% and emotional intelligent is 53,25%.. Key word          : communication skill, emotional intelligent, motivation

Abstract

Absract: The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) how Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city plays his leadership role in growing the discipline behavior of its employees; (2) what constraints are encountered by Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city in internalizing the discipline of its employees; and (3) what solutions are taken by Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office to deal with the prevailing constraints to the materialization of the discipline behavior of its employees. This research used the qualitative embedded single case study method. The results of the research are as follows: 1) Chief of Jebres Sub-district Office, Surakarta city plays his leadership role through the discipline behavior internalizations such as: (a) giving exemplification through discipline attitude; (b) giving motivation to the employees; (c) attempting to fulfill their needs and prosperity; and (d) implementing the discipline upholding consistently. 2) The constraints occurring in nurturing the discipline of the employees of Jebres Sub-district Office are as follows: (a) internal constraints: some employees bear the characters and personalities which are apathetic to advices, and some are lack of responsibilities in executing their duties and work and (b) external constraints: the external constraints occurring in internalizing the discipline of the employees of Jebres Sub-district Office are mainly related to the work environment. 3) The prevailing constraints occurring in internalizing the discipline of the employees are as follows: (a) upholding the prevailing laws and regulations and nurturing the employees; and (b) maintaining the communication and good relations among the employees.

Abstract

The objective of this research are to investigate: (1) whether or not there is a significant relationship of learning motivation (X1) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakartain academic year 2013/2014?; (2) whether or not there is a significant relationship of parent income level (X2) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakarta in academic year 2013/2014?; and (3) whether or not there is a significant relationship of learning motivation (X1) and parent income level (X2) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University Surakartain academic year 2013/2014?Theresearch used the correlational descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population was the 2011 generation-students of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakarta in academic year 2013/2014, consisting of 173 students. The sample consisted of 64 students and they were taken by means ofproportional random sampling technique. The data of the research were genthered through questionnaire and documentation and then analyzed using the computer program of SPSS 17..The results of the research are as follows: (1) there was a significant relationship of learning motivation (X1) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakarta in academic year 2013/2014; (2) there was a significant relationship of parent income level (X2) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakarta in academic year 2013/2014; and (3) there was a significant relationship of learning motivation (X1) and parent income level (X2) to academic achievement (Y) of economic education of SebelasMaret University,Surakarta in academic year 2013/2014.The linear regression equation was ? = 35.316 + 0.671 X1 + 0.548 X2. The relative contribution of (X1) variable to (Y) was 53.67% and that of (X2) variable to (Y) was 46.33%. The effective contribution of (X1) variable to (Y) was 17.78% and that of (X2) variable to (Y) was 15.35%. Keywords: motivation, income level, academic achievement.
