Abstract

The period of social, economic and political transition is closely related to the collapse of the Suharto regime and the reformtion. This condition is signed  by various kinds of conflicts , starting in the national and local political arena. Political propaganda  at that time occured when  the country was still in the authoritarian and centralistic spirit of the Suharto government. In fact, local actors and national politics are moving the issue to take power. This study focuses on the analysis of Indonesia  democratic struggles in the dynamics of identity politics, the practice of identity politics during the New Order era was given the  space in carrying out the  movements and compared to the reformation period in Riau Province and the process of strengthening identity politics in the local sphere in Riau Province. This study used literature study in analyzing with sociological and historical theory. The results of this study showed  that identity politics in Riau Province during the New Order and Reformation eras was different. During the New Order era, identity politics had no space and local people were shifted or removed, while during the reformation period, identity politics was open and expanded the contents of local people to become leader so it emerges the  conflicts and presenting cases at the local level. This study brings out  the term symbolic power in the local democratic process and carries the value of the  nationalism spirit  in local communities

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the efforts made by the Tanah Datar Tourism Office andthe impact of the efforts to develop the pacu jawi attraction. This study was analyzed usingstructural functionalism by Robert King Merton. This study uses a qualitative approach withdescriptive research type. The selection of informants was carried out by purposive sampling with atotal of 14 informants. Data was collected by means of active participation observation, in-depthinterviews and document studies. The results of the research were eleven attempts or efforts madeby the Tourism Office in the development of Pacu Jawi tourism attractions. The existence of theseeleven efforts has a real impact on the Region community and outside the Region community. Thereal impact is attracting tourist visits, buying and selling transactions at the location, generatingbusiness and services as well as opening up new jobs, preserving culture and maintaining unity andcohesiveness in the community. Apart from that, it also has a hidden impact from the developmentof Pacu Jawi tourist attractions, including improving and building region infrastructure, exploringthe potential of the region to be developed, paying attention to the Livestock Service andAgriculture Service to pay attention to breeding livestock and promoting agricultural welfare, aswell as revitalizing Minangkabau traditional arts.

Abstract

This paper describes the socio-cultural changes that occur in the Lembang Sarambu community, Buntu Pepasan District, North Toraja, in the ma'pasilaga tedong tradition, along with the factors that influence the occurrence of these social changes. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results in this study are the values contained in the ma'pasilaga tedong tradition, namely 1) cultural values, ma'pasilaga tedong is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation to perfect the implementation of the rambu solo ceremony; 2) the value of customs, the Toraja people believe that the buffalo is a sacred animal; 3) moral values, in the ma'pasilaga tedong tradition, the buffalo that will be competed are buffalo that have certain criteria, such as the buffalo that will be competed must be the buffalo that will be sacrificed for the corpse; 4) social values, namely the tradition of ma'pasilaga tedong cannot be carried out if there is no solo sign ceremony'. The values that have changed in the ma'pasilaga tedong tradition are: 1) moral values, where the ma'pasilaga tedong tradition which originally aimed to comfort the bereaved family and as a form of empathy for the bereaved family has now become a gambling arena for ma'pasilaga tedong ; 2) and the initial social value of ma'pasilaga tedong was only done in one day, namely when there was a rambu solo' ceremony, but now it has been carried out for days even though the rambu solo' ceremony is not held. With the factor of cultural changes that occur caused by internal factors; population and discoveries and external factors; war and other cultural influences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of phubbing on the decline in the value of student social solidarity in the millennial era (an environment because it is more focused on gadgets) in library and information science students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research variable consists of one independent variable, namely: Phubbbing (X) and the binding variable, namely: a decrease in the value of student Social Solidarity in the Millennial era (Y). The sampling technique used was technique sampling with a total of 111 students, while the samples were 87 students. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis test using the mean formula and the results of the derivative of the grand mean of the variable (X), it is categorized well with a mean value of 3.2. While the variable (Y) is categorized as good with an average value of 2.89. The result of the product moment correlation test, that the large correlation coefficient between variable (X) and variable (Y) obtained a result of 0.711, the coefficient interval between 0.80-1000 shows a very strong influence, where the direction of the influence is positive because the R value shows a number positive. The simple regression results for variable (X) and variable (Y) Y = 10.553 + 0, 802X and R Square for 0.711 means that the effect of variable (X) with variable (Y) is 52.20%. Other factors outside this study amounted to 48.80%.

Abstract

This research aims at analyzing changes on the welfare level and consumption patterns among Jenitri (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) farmers in Pujotirto, Karangsambung, Kebumen regency of Centra Java- Indonesia. Using mix-method, this research combined quantitative method and that of qualitative. Quantitative data was collected by a survey involving 20 respondents which were selected purposively. Qualitative data was collected by a series of in-depth interviews with farmers and traders of jenitri. Quantitative data was analyzed descriptively. Interview data was transcripted and analyzed by using domain analysis technique. The research resulted in following conclusions: (1) the cultivation of jenitri has brought about significant changes in farmers’  welfare; (2) the raised welfare level affects the pattern of household’s consumption; (3) prior to cultivating jenitri, farmers’ household tend to be subsistence-oriented; (4) now that they cultivate jenitri, they are driven to meet secondary and tertiary needs, such as motorcycles and jewelries.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out about a) the Tajhin Pheddis Tradition of the Madurese Community in Kuala Mandor B Kubu Raya. b) The Tajhin Pheddis tradition is a means of realizing Social Integration in West Kalimantan. The type of this research is a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. Primary data were obtained from interviews with the traditional leaders of Madura. While secondary data in the form of literature on the tradition of tajhin pedhis. Researchers also conducted participatory observations and interviews with informants. Henceforth, all data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The results of this study are tajhin peddhis which is carried out by ethnic Madurese, especially the people in Cahaya Baru Kuala Mandor B, which is a Selamatan which is held in the month of Muharrom. Tajhin peddhis in the form of rice porridge topped with a mixture of cassava, sliced omelet, nuts and chilies. Tajhin peddhis as a form of gratitude to Allah for His gift. This tradition is a vehicle for the formation of social integration in the form of normative integration, namely a social bond that occurs because of an agreement on values and norms.

Abstract

Based on the research on marriages between ethnic Minangkabau and ethnic Chinese that occurred in the city of Padang, it was found that marriages between ethnic Minangkabau and ethnic Chinese had their own dynamics. This paper examines the forms of interaction (cooperation, conflict) between Minangkabau and Chinese husband and wife in the family, and then attempts to resolve the conflict between husband and wife in the family. A qualitative approach is used to understand the problem under study. Data was collected through deep interviews.From the research it was found that the form of cooperation in marriages between Minangkabau and Chinese ethnic can be seen in educating their children. Minangkabau and Chinese parents educate and guide their children according to the teachings of Islam. Furthermore, these families guide and motivate their children's formal education. This Minangkabau-Chinese family holds the principle of mutual help and cooperation, for example in domestic work, even though the husband is not involved in all household activities. The forms of conflict in the Minangkabau and Chinese families in the study were found to be related to the character of the spouse, the practice of worship and the identity of the child. As for the resolution of conflicts from Minangkabau-Chinese families in their domestic life, among others, by avoiding conflict, giving in and discussing.

Abstract

The phenomenon of conflict among students that have occurred recently raises several questions. Is this conflict in accordance with the specific factors of each case or has certain socio-cultural roots. If that so, why do conflicts occur more often against certain areas. Why does the conflict always recur even though reconciliation has been carried out every time the conflict occurs. This research has some purposes: firstly, finding out the social and cultural roots of conflict among Bone and Luwu students. Secondly; finding how to handle regional conflicts among students. This research is descriptive qualitative by using knowledge geneaology approach from Michel Foucault. Research data obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentations. The results showed that a) the phenomenon of conflict among Bone and Luwu students had socio-cultural roots that were produced in the form of internal knowledge from generation to generation. The birth of the local organization of commissariat on campus marked a period of significant discontinuity producing inter-regional conflict. In addition, the functional of regional organizations as regeneration spaces that perpetuate fanaticism; b) regional organizations need to encourage an inclusive regeneration curriculum. In addition, it is very important to carry out social and spatial engineering that allows inclusive activities to live on campus by strengthening student institutions.

Abstract

Land conflicts with Cultivation Rights between PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari (PT.SIL) with the people of Ketahun Subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency, has been going on since 2011. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of conflict, conflict resolution methods, and the ideal concept of Cultivation Rights conflict resolution. This study uses empirical juridical research methods. Primary data was obtained from employees of PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari, community planters in Ketahun Subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency, and the Regional Government. Data was collected using interview methods and documentation. Data analysis by means of descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the factors that cause land conflicts between PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari with the gardener community, namely the lack of land management by PT. Way Sebayur and PT. Tri Manunggal Pacific Abadi and also the socio-economic factors. Cultivation Rights conflict resolution methods are through mediation, compensation for planting and growing, and employing the surrounding community at PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari, the enclave of Cultivation RightsLand, and legal remedies through the courts. The ideal concept in conflict resolution is sulh, wasatha, and tahkim the concept of sulh which reflects the form of negotiation, especially the negotiation of distributive justice (merger) between PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari and the community for the unfinished Cultivation Rights11 of the former PT Trimanunggal Pacific Abadi.

Abstract

In the 1970s the government of the Republic of Indonesia issued regulations governing marriage, namely Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning marriage. Marriage is an important part of human life and is sacred. Divorce is the decision or loss of husband and wife status between a man and a woman by a court that has the authority to decide it. But of course in a divorce also has conditions for couples who want to file for divorce against their partners. This research uses the normative legal research method, in which the normative research method is carried out by examining literature or literature. The divorce mechanism is regulated in Government Regulation No. 9 of 1975, which in the PP states that a couple who wishes to divorce in filing a lawsuit must first know which court is authorized to do so, if the Muslim is in the Religious Court, then other than Islam then in the Court. Country. A couple who wants to file for divorce must of course first understand the mechanism for divorce and the conditions for divorce which include the reasons, that everyone who wants a divorce must have strong reasons in which the reasons are no longer able to lead a good household life. . This is found in Article 39 of the Marriage Law. If it is related to the study of the decision No.1257.Pdt.G/2021/PN.Sby the judge considered that the plaintiff failed to prove the argument for his lawsuit by failing to bring the right witnesses to prove the argument for his trial, the plaintiff only presented his family as witnesses which according to the judge it is a unilateral statement which will only benefit the plaintiff's position, so that in the verdict the judge rejects the plaintiff's claim in its entirety.
