Abstract

Pemahaman konsep yang baik merupakan hal mendasar yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa sebelum dinyatakan lulus dari Perguruan Tinggi. Oleh karena itu, sebagai bahan evaluasi bagi dosen yang mengajar di perguruan tinggi dan meminimalisir terjadinya miskonsepsi pada mahasiswa, perlu dilakukan studi pendahuluan untuk melihat profil miskonsepsi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis profil miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada materi gaya gesek dan hukum Newton dilihat dari gaya kognitif. Sebanyak 28  mahasiswa semester II di salah satu perguruan tinggi yang ada di kota Mataram digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Data penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) dan Three Tier Tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata jumlah mahasiswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep gaya gesek dan hukum newton sebanyak 54,86%. Jika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif, mahasiswa FD cendrung lebih banyak mengalami miskonsepsi jika dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa FI. Rata-rata jumlah mahasiswa FI yang miskonsepsi sebanyak 45,45% sedangkan jumlah mahasiswa FD yang miskonsepsi sebesar 61,21%.

Abstract

Soft skills are skills that must be possessed by 21st-century students in order to compete globally and be successful in the future. The purpose of this community service activity is to train students' soft skills through the Teaching Campus Program Batch 3 at SDN 10 Ampenan. The activity was carried out from March to May 2022 which took place at SDN 10 Ampenan, with a total of 5 students. Indicators of soft skills that are trained consist of 6 aspects, namely Confidence, Initiative, Creativity and Innovation, Communication, Cooperation, and Discipline. The assessment of student soft skills uses a scale of 4. The activity results show that the average soft skills of students are 22 which is very good criteria. The indicator of student soft skills that has the highest score is in the Confidence, Initiative, and Communication aspects of 20, while the lowest score is found in the Cooperation aspect of 15. The Teaching Campus Program is a program that plays an important role in training students' soft skills to be ready to enter the university. world of work in the 21st century. Therefore, the Campus Teaching program should still be held as a real effort by the government to improve the quality of education in Indonesia

Abstract

This community service activity is an effort to improve children's cognitive development through activities to recognize the concept of numbers in TK Dharma Wanita 67 Pesucen. Getting to know the concept of numbers in question is to use objects 1 to 10. The activity will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, with a total of 7 students. The method of carrying out activities consists of initial, core, and final activities. Activities carried out in the early stages are welcoming children, structuring the playing environment, opening. Activities carried out at the core stage are observing, asking questions, gathering information, reasoning, communicating with various activities (recognizing the concept of numbers 1 to 10 by counting roses, Finger painting the shape of roses, Arranging roses). The activities carried out in the final stage are recalling and closing. The assessment rubric consists of four criteria, namely Undeveloped, Starting to Develop, Developing as Expected, and Developing Very Well. The results of observations indicate that the level of cognitive development of children is in the criteria of Developing According to Expectations. Efforts to improve children's cognitive development through activities to recognize the concept of numbers need to be continued so that the criteria increase to a better one

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pendampingan penyusunan Proposal Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMA Negeri 2 Gerung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan dilakukan pada Kamis, 18 Juli 2019 yang bertempat di Ruang Laboratorium Biologi SMA Negeri 2 Gerung. Peserta kegiatan pendampingan berjumlah 26 orang guru. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri atas 4 tahap: pertama, ceramah tentang Proposal PTK; kedua, tanya jawab tentang Proposal PTK; ketiga, pendampingan menyusun proposal PTK; dan keempat, evaluasi kegiatan. Pada saat kegiatan pendampingan, peserta difasilitasi dengan menggunakan Lembar Kerja dalam menyusun Proposal PTK. Kegiatan pendampingan ini telah menghasilkan 11 draf Proposal PTK yang siap untuk dikembangkan menjadi Proposal PTK. Berdasarkan Lembar Evaluasi Kegiatan Pendampingan diperoleh informasi bahwa: guru-guru memiliki pengetahuan yang lebih tentang penyusunan Proposal PTK sehingga lebih mudah bagi guru dalam menyusun draf Proposal PTK; kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pendampingan telah mampu menghasilkan produk draf Proposal PTK; kegiatan pengabdian ini telah memberikan motivasi bagi guru dalam menyusun Proposal PTK; pendampingan penyusunan Proposal PTK  membantu guru mempermudah langkah untuk pengusulan kenaikan pangkat. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pendampingan penyusunan proposal PTK ini telah meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalisme guru di SMA Negeri 2 Gerung.

Abstract

Kegiatan optimalisasi pusat kegiatan belajar masyarakat (PKBM) merupakan salah satu program kerja kegiatan KKN terpadu era New Normal, Kegiatan ini bertempat di PKBM Jero Juangga Dusun Penyonggok Desa Tetebatu Selatan. PKBM Jero Juangga merupakan salah satu PKBM yang digagaskan oleh sekelompok pemuda-pemudi Jero Juangga Dusun Penyonggok Desa Tetebatu Selatan dalam rangka membantu dan memfasilitasi anak-anak dalam belajar khususnya yang masih sekolah selama masa pendemi Covid-19. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu melakukan pendampingan dalam rangka optimalisasi pusat kegiatan belajar masyarakat (PKBM) yang meliputi : pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran, mengajar di PKBM, pendampingan kegiatan tambahan di PKBM dan edukasi hidup bersih dan sehat. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini yaitu peserta didik yang telah tergabung di PKBM Jero Juangga. Alur dari kegiatan ini yaitu permohonan izin kepada Kepala Desa, Kepala Wilayah, dan pengurus PKBM Jero Juangga, observasi PKBM Jero Juangga, pendataan peserta didik dan sosialisasi, penyusunan perencanaan dan perangkat pembelajaran, persiapan tempat belajar yang memadai, kegiatan pembelajaran di PKBM Jero Juangga dan evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan kegiatan optimalisasi PKBM Jero Juangga berjalan lancer dan mendapatkan dukungan yang penuh dari pengurus PKBM maupun masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the communication skills of prospective teacher students through the analysis of scientific articles from national journals in Indonesia. This activity was carried out online from March to May 2021 as many as 12 meetings. Participants of this activity were 27 student teacher candidates from a university in the city of Mataram. The method of implementing this activity is: Students are given an explanation of the material at each meeting via the google meet platform. Students are given the opportunity to ask questions verbally. Students are assigned to search for scientific articles from national journals according to the topics discussed, this activity is carried out through google search. Students download scientific article files from national journals, then upload the file through the "Discussion Forum" feature prepared on the LMS (Learning Management System) platform. Furthermore, students discuss with group members according to discussion instructions through the "Discussion Forum" feature. The value of communication skills is obtained based on the observations of observers on student discussion activities on the "Discussion Forum" feature using a scale of 5. The improvement in communication skills of prospective teacher students is seen from the increase in each indicator at meeting 1 and meeting 12. The results of the observations show the communication skills score of prospective teacher students at the first meeting it was 55 (poor category) while at the last meeting it was 80 (good category). The N-gain value was 57 which was in the medium criteria. Thus, there is an increase in the communication skills of prospective teacher students through the analysis of scientific articles from national journals

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused a change in the learning system from offline to online. Lecturers can use social media as a digital literacy-based learning media. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop student creativity through the use of YouTube as a learning medium during the COVID-19 pandemic. This activity was held online during 3 meetings with the number of participants as many as 23 students. The method of activity is: 1) on September 10, 2021 provides YouTube video links for the deepening of scientific approach material; 2) on September 17, 2021 designing learning activities with a scientific approach based on YouTube videos; 3) on September 24, 2021 made a learning video to explain the concept of high school physics with a scientific approach. Lecturers observe the creativity of students at every meeting. Indicators of creativity consist of fluent thinking skills, flexible thinking skills, original thinking skills, detail thinking skills, curiosity, and being challenged. Assessment of student creativity using scale 4. The increase in creativity score at the initial meeting and the final meeting is calculated using N-gain. The results showed the creativity score of students increased from 2.45 (poor criteria) at meeting 1 to 3.07 (good criteria) at meeting 2 and by 3.47 (good criteria) at meeting 3. The average creativity of students is 3.00 which is on good criteria. The lowest indicator is the skill of smooth thinking of 2.87 (poor criteria) while the highest indicator is to feel challenged by 3.17 (good criteria). The N-gain value of 66 is at the moderate criterion. Thus, the use of YouTube as a learning medium can develop student creativity, especially the attitude of feeling challenged

Abstract

Skills in running computer programs are important for students so that they are able to learn and work in accordance with developments in technology, information, and communication. The purpose of this community service activity is to train junior high school students' skills in using Microsoft Office and PhET. This activity was carried out at SMPN 19 Mataram for 8 weeks, starting from September 27 to November 21, 2021. This activity is part of the Campus Teaching Program Batch 2. The methods of implementing the activities are: planning, implementing, and evaluating activities. At the activity planning stage, the team coordinated and discussed with supervisors, subject teachers (ICT and Science), and school principals. At the activity implementation stage, the team trained students in using software applications, namely Microsoft Office and PhET. Applications in Microsoft Office that are chosen to be trained to students are Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Meanwhile, PhET Simulation taught to students is the topic of Static Electricity. The training schedule for Microsoft Office uses ICT subject time, while for PhET uses Science subject time. At the activity evaluation stage, the team together with the supervisors identify the obstacles experienced and the improvement efforts made every week. The team also coordinated and discussed with ICT subject teachers, science teachers, and school principals about the follow-up plan of the training activities. The training provided by the team on technology adaptation in the form of using software applications has improved the skills of junior high school students in using computer programs, namely Microsoft Office and PhET.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to apply the role-playing method as an effort to improve the socio-emotional development of students. The activity was held on November 17, 2021 at Mustika Rini Karangnongko Kindergarten with a total of 8 participants. The activity method consists of 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation, and reflection. The results of the activities for each stage are: in the preparation stage, the team prepares tools and materials, and guides students to carry out various activities so that they are ready to play roles. At the implementation stage, the team guides students to do three types of activities. Activity 1: Make a chicken-shaped mosaic from egg shells. Activity 2: Cracking eggs and frying eggs into egg rolls. Activity 3: Role-play being a seller and buyer of egg rolls. At the reflection stage, a recall and follow-up plan are carried out. Aspects that are assessed for the social emotional development of students in this role-playing activity are courage, self-confidence, independence, and communication. The socio-emotional development of students, namely students who are able to play the role of being a seller and a buyer, has developed according to expectations (BSH).

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran fisika disekolah cenderung menggunakan metode pembelajaran langsung atau metode ceramah saja dan belum optimal dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan  hasil belajar yang rendah karena rendahnya penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu, solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, yaitu dengan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konflik kognitif berbantuan video pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik sebagai produk yang valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa silabus, RPP, LKPD, video pembelajaran dan instrumen penilaian penguasaan konsep. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan metode 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai pada tahap pengembangan (develop), yang mencakup uji validitas. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dalam kategori sangat valid dan reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
