Abstract

Detection and prediction of peatland cover changes needs to be done in the rapid rate of deforestation in Indonesia. This work applied Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Markov Chain Model on multitemporal satellite data. The study area is located in the Rokan Hilir district, Riau Province. SVM classification technique used to extract information from satellite data for the years 2000, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2013. The Markov Chain Model was used to predict future peatland cover. The SVM classification result showed that the Kappa accuracy of peatland cover classification is more than 0.92. The non vegetation areas increased to 307% and the sparse vegetation areas increased to 22% between 2000 and 2013, while dense vegetation areas decreased to 61%. Prediction of future land cover by the Markov Chain Model showed that the use of multitemporal satellite data with 3 years interval provides accurate result for predicting peatland cover changes.

Abstract

Incung script is a legacy of the Kerinci tribe located in Kerinci Regency, Jambi Province. On October 17, 2014, the Incung script was designated by the Ministry of Education and Culture as an intangible heritage property owned by Jambi Province. But in reality, the Incung script is almost extinct in society. This study aims to identify the characters of the Incung (Kerinci) script with the output in the form of Latin characters from the Incung script. The classification method used is the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. The dataset used as many as 1400 incung character images divided into 28 classes. In this study, an experiment was conducted to obtain the most optimal model. Showing the results using the CNN method during the training process that the accuracy of the training data reaches 99% and the accuracy of the testing data reaches 91% by using the optimal hyperparameters from the tests that have been done, namely batch size 32, epoch 100, and Adam's optimizer. It evaluates the CNN model using 80 images in words (a combination of several characters) with 4 test scenarios. It shows that the model can recognize image data from scanning printed books, digital writing test data, test data with images containing more than two characters, and check images with different font sizes

Abstract

Sistem pendataan seminar Mahasiswa Pascasarjana Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) telah dilakukan semenjak berdiri hingga sekarang yang diterapkan secara manual administrator. Kelemahan timbul dari banyaknya mahasiswa pascasarjana yang hampir setiap hari lebih dari 20 Mahasiswa yang akan mendaftar dengan jumlah pegawai yang terbatas dan dengan sistem konvensional. Riset ini memberikan kemudahan dari berbagai bentuk kelemahan-kelemahan diatas diantaranya adalah efisien waktu, kemudahan tata kelola administrasi, tidak adanya sistem antrian manual. Kelebihan lain seperti halnya mengurangi kebutuhan kertas form pendaftaran dan jadwal. Oleh karena itu, Sistem Informasi Pendaftaran Seminar Sekolah Pascasarjana (SIPASMAPAS) IPB dalam pengembangannya sistem ini mampu memberikan 75% keuntungan bagi pegawai, mahasiswa dan perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh media papan tulis virtual google jamboard terhadap motivasi belajar anak usia dini selama belajar online. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode eksperimen. Ada pun jenis metode eksperimen penelitian yang digunakan adalah One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. One-Group Pretest-Postest Design yaitu eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelompok saja tanpa kelompok pembanding. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas B1 di TK Harapan Bunda yang berjumlah 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi yang berisi indikator motivasi belajar. Uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample T-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan media papan tulis virtual google jamboard berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa Taman Kanak-kanak Harapan Bunda dan pengaruhnya berada pada kriteria strong effect.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Pandemi Covid-19 bukan halangan untuk melakukan kegiatan wisata. Wisata di dalam kota merupakan pilihan yang tepat di masa pendemi seperti ini. Pemerintah Kota Jambi telah banyak membangun ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) dengan fasilitas rekreasi dan olahraga yang lengkap, namun RTH ini belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal oleh masyarakat. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya promosi yang menyebabkan masih banyak masyarakat belum mengetahui keberadaan dan fasilitas yang disediakan RTH. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PPM) ini bertujuan untuk membangun Sistem Informasi Geografis Ruang Terbuka Hijau berbasis web yang dilengkapi dengan virtual tour yang menampilkan simulasi panorama dari lokasi RTH. Pembangunan sistem ini menggunakan metode prototyping. Metode ini sangat cocok digunakan untuk sistem skala kecil dan bersifat customize yang diciptakan berdasarkan permintaan dan kebutuhan tertentu. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, framework Laravel, dan Database Management System (DBMS) MySQL. Beberapa fitur yang berhasil dikembangkan antara lain pencarian taman, pencarian event, virtual tour, dan partisipasi masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan PPM ini adalah pihak Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) dapat dengan mudah menyebarkan informasi-informasi terkait RTH dan memudahkan pengunjung dalam mencari lokasi RTH dan petunjuk arah yang terintegrasi dengan google maps. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode black box. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa sistem informasi yang dibangun telah berhasil berjalan sesuai fungsinya. Kata Kunci: Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH), sistem informasi geografis, virtual tour [English]: Covid-19 pandemic is not a barrier to travel. Travelling in the city is a right choice during this time of pandemic. Jambi local government has provided manynew green open spaces with complete recreational and sports facilities. Unfortunately, the use of the public facilities is still not optimal due to lack of promotion. This community service program aims to develop a web-based geographical information system equipped with a virtual tour that displays a panoramic simulation of the green open space locations. The development of this system used a prototyping method. This method is very suitable for small-scale and customized systems based on certain requests and needs. The system development utilized PHP programming language, Laravel framework, and MySQL Database Management System (DBMS). Some of the features that have been successfully developed including park search, event search, virtual tours, and community participation. The result of this program is that local environment agency can easily disseminate information related to green open spaces and facilitate visitors in finding locations and directions integrated with google maps. A test of the system was carried out using the black box method. The results show that the developed information system has run successfully and properly. Abstract

Dataran Kempas Village has a lot of potential in agriculture so it has the opportunity to be developed into agro-edu tourism. Currently, Dataran Kempas Village together with farmer groups are pioneering a self-help agricultural and rural training center, namely an educational tourism area and applied technology, integrated tourism agro-education in rural areas. The image of Dataran Kempas Village as an agro-educational tourism destination is not yet very popular, and there is no visual identity that portrays Dataran Kempas village as a village that has agro-education potential. In this community service, training related to visual branding is carried out as a strategy to strengthen tourism promotion, making Agro-Edu Wisata logo designs, stationary sets, and merchandise. This Community Service (PPM) implementation activity was carried out in 2 activity sessions. The first session was a discussion with village officials and farmer groups on ideas to strengthen tourism promotion through visual branding. The second session will include training in creating attractive visual content designs for social media using simple applications. The result of this activity is the existence of a visual branding identity owned by partners such as the logo design of the Agro-Edu Wisata Desa Dataran Kempas, stationary sets, and merchandise as an effort to strengthen the brand image. From visual content design training using the Photoroom and Canva applications, managers of farmer groups and youth organizations are able to edit product photos to become more attractive and be able to create product promotion designs for social media. Desa Dataran Kempas memiliki banyak potensi di bidang pertanian sehingga berpeluang untuk dikembangkan menjadi agro-edu wisata. Saat ini Desa Dataran Kempas bersama kelompok tani sedang merintis pusat pelatihan pertanian dan pedesaan swadaya yaitu kawasan wisata pendidikan dan teknologi terapan, agro edukasi wisata terpadu dalam kawasan pedesaan. Citra Desa Dataran Kempas sebagai destinasi agro-edu wisata belum begitu populer, serta belum adanya identitas visual yang mencitrakan desa Dataran Kempas sebagai desa yang memiliki potensi agro-edu wisata. Pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan pelatihan terkait visual branding sebagai strategi penguatan promosi wisata, pembuatan desain logo Agro-Edu Wisata, stationary set, dan merchandise. Kegiatan pelaksanaan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 sesi kegiatan. Sesi pertama dilakukan diskusi bersama perangkat desa dan kelompok tani mengenai gagasan untuk menguatkan promosi wisata melalui visual branding. Sesi kedua akan dilakukan pelatihan membuat desain konten visual yang menarik untuk media sosial dengan menggunakan aplikasi sederhana. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya identitas visual branding yang dimiliki oleh mitra seperti desain logo Agro-Edu Wisata Desa Dataran Kempas, stationary set, dan merchandise sebagai upaya penguatan brand image. Dari pelatihan desain konten visual menggunakan aplikasi Photoroom dan Canva, pengelola kelompok tani dan karang taruna mampu melakukan editing foto produk menjadi lebih menarik serta mampu membuat desain promosi produk untuk media sosial.

Abstract

The use of smarthome technology to monitor and control homes is growing recently. The smarthome system requires the integration of several sensors to determine the conditions in the house. In a centralized smarthome system, all sensors are connected to a single node to perform data processing and communication which can result in system failure if this node is broken. In this study, we use a distributed model for the smarthome system. The designed system consists of three nodes, which are kitchen instrument, room instrument, and door instrument. These three instruments are equipped with RFID sensors, temperature sensors, gas sensors, and reed switch sensors to perform security features of the smarthome that can be accessed remotely via smartphones or computers. The results show that the system has been able to work well and can overcome the problem of failure on some instruments without causing the whole system to collapse. This smarthome system has an average delay of 2.21 seconds.

Abstract

The Urban Forest of HM Sabki has great potential as a tourist destination, not only as a recreation area but also as a center for research and plant conservation. For this reason, the Urban Forest of HM Sabki is expected to be able to provide adequate information about its plants. This community service program creates a plant inventory information system and QR code as a marker of plants that can be scanned using a smartphone. This technology enables visitors to access detailed information about plants. QR code is a printed 2-dimensional image code that can store data. This technology can display information about plants that have been previously entered by the manager into the plant inventory information system. Through this application, the Urban Forest management can easily manage all information about plants.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that takes place across virtually every social media platform. Twitter is a form of social media that allows users to exchange information. Bullying has been a growing problem on Twitter over the past few years. Sentiment analysis is done to identify the element of bullying in a tweet. Sentiments are divided into 3 classes, namely Bullying, Non-Bullying and neutral. There are three steps to classify cyberbullying i.e. collection of data set, preprocessing data, and classification process. This research used sentiStrength, an algorithm which uses a lexicon based approach. This SentiStrength lexicon contains the weight of its sentiment strength. The assessment results from 454 tweets data obtained 161 tweet non-bullying (35.4%), 87 tweet neutral (19.1%), and 206 tweet bullying (45.4%). This research produces an accuracy value of 60.5%.

Abstract

Forest fires have become annual disasters in Indonesia and have an impact on peatland degradation. Many forest fires occur on peatlands. In August 2019, 810 hotspots were detected in Jambi Province. Burned area of peatland information is needed so that the goverment can determine policy on the effectiveness and efficiency of forest management. Information about burned area of peatland is difficult to obtain from field measurements because the area is large and not easily accessible. Landsat data is a type of image from remote sensing technology that can be used to map this area. One method that is often used to estimate the burned area is visual on-screen interpretation. However, this technique requires experienced interpreters. For this reason, this study used digital interpretation techniques using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to classify burned area, vegetation, and bare soil from remote sensed data of protected area of peat in Muaro Jambi District, Jambi Province. This study obtained a classifier with the accuracy of 99.8%. The estimated area of peat based on the SVM classifier on August 15th 2019 are 1,396.89 hectares at the burned area class, 7,069.5 hectares at the vegetation class, and 1,089.54 hectares at the bare soil class.
