Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju di era modern saat ini, menciptakan bahan-bahan bangunanyang bersahabat dengan lingkungan dan kehidupan manusia bukanlah hal yang sulit. Misalnya bahan bangunan yangbiasa dipakai untuk sekat ruangan ataupun plafon rumah, contohnya kalsiboard. Dalam pengujian ini kalsiboard diujipengaruhnya terhadap laju perpindahan panas pada ruangan di sekitarnya dengan membandingkan dengan bahan lainyaitu triplek dan kaca. Adapun tujuan adanya penelitian ini, penulis ingin mengetahui bahan yang manakah di antarakalsiboard, kaca dan triplek yang mempunyai kemampuan lebih baik dalam menahan proses laju perpindahan panaspada sebuah ruangan. Dari ketiga bahan sekat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, bahan yang paling baik dalammenghambat laju perpindahan panas adalah kalsiboard. Laju perpindahan panas tanpa menggunakan sekat Q = 3,7373W, sekat kalsiboard Q = 1,38 W, triplek 1,3944 dan kaca 1,8573 W.Kata kunci: perpindahan panas, kalsiboard

Abstract

Academic supervision aims at influencing and developing the behavior of the teacher in managing the learning process at school. The purpose of this study was to find out: the implementation of academic supervision for the completeness of teacher administration, discipline of teachers, the commitment of teachers, and the obstacles to the implementation of academic supervision to manage the learning process. Method with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation studies. Subjects of the study were principal and teachers. The results of the research showed that: (1) the implementation of academic supervision for the completeness of teacher administration has been carried out well by the principal. The principal as the supervisor always tried to guide and direct the teachers, mainly in completing learning tools such as annual program, semester program, syllabus, and lesson plan; (2) the implementation of academic supervision to enhance the discipline of teachers has been carried out well by the principal; (3) the implementation of academic supervision to improve the commitment of teachers have been applied well by the principal; and (4) the obstacles to the implementation of academic supervision in the management of the learning process was lack of time of principal because of other tasks. The academic supervision was conducted by the vice principal and senior teachers, but the improvement and guidance were not well implanted.Keywords: academic supervision, principal, and teacher performance

Abstract

Abstract: Headmaster is one of the components that affect teachers' performance. Educational success in school is largely determined by the success of the headmaster in managing academic staff at the school. This study generally aims to examine the leadership of headmaster in improving the performance of teachers at SMAN 4 Wira Bangsa and SMAN 3 Meulaboh, West Aceh. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with technique of collecting data through observation, interview, and documentation. Subjects were headmasters, teachers, school committee, and students of SMAN 4 Wira Bangsa and SMAN 3 Meulaboh. Conclusions of this study are the headmaster leadership of SMAN 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh is autocratic style, while the headmaster of SMAN 3 Meulaboh is democratic style. Headmaster leadership of SMAN 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh and SMAN 3 Meulaboh is able to improve the performance of teachers in each school. This is proved from the curriculum, infrastructure and student achievement which achieve well and in line with the standards of teacher performance. The response of teachers to the leadership approach that made the headmaster at SMAN 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh and SMAN 3 is good enough.Keywords: Leadership, Headmaster, Teacher’s PerformanceAbstrak: Kepala sekolah merupakan salah satu komponen pendidikan yang berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. keberhasilan pendidikan sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh keberhasilan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola tenaga kependidikan yang tersedia di sekolah. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru pada SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa dan SMA Negeri 3 Meulaboh, Aceh Barat.Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi.Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru, Komite Sekolah, dan Siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa dan SMA Negeri 3 Meulaboh.kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMA Negeri 4  Wira Bangsa Meulaboh bergaya otokratis, sedangkan kepala sekolah SMA Negeri 3 Meulaboh bergaya demokratis. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh dan SMA Negeri 3 Meulaboh mampu meningkatkan kinerja guru di masing-masing sekolah.Hal ini terbukti dari kurikulum, kesiswaan, sarana prasarana dan prestasi belajar siswa yang berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai standar kinerja guru.Tanggapan atau respon guru terhadap pendekatan kepemimpinan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri 4 Wira Bangsa Meulaboh dan SMA Negeri 3 Meulaboh cukup baik.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Kepala Sekolah, Kinerja Guru

Abstract

Abstract: Teaching supervision is one way to assist teachers in performing their duties as a professional teacher. The purpose of this research was to obtain complete data on the implementation of the teaching supervision by the supervisor in order to improve the professional competence of teachers in State Islamic Elementary School Meulaboh of Aceh Barat Regency. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentary study. Subjects of the study were school supervisor, principal and teachers. This study concludes that, teaching supervision programs compiled by the supervisor were semester program and annual program that included the coaching of teacher performance in group and individual. Teaching supervision was done through classroom observation, individual meetings, group discussions and demonstrations of teaching. Obstacles faced were the lack of supervisory personnel, lack of knowledge of the teachers about the management of teaching and learning, limited learning facilities and infrastructure, lack of ability of the teacher in preparing learning program, lack of teachers using instructional media. Supervision was conducted by using class visit, debriefing and discussion technique.Keywords: Supervision, Teaching, Competence, ProfessionalAbstrak: Supervisi pengajaran merupakan salah satu cara untuk membantu guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai seorang guru yang professional. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk memperoleh data yang lengkap tentang pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran oleh pengawas madrasah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru pada MIN Meulaboh Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, subjek penelitian adalah Pengawas Madrasah, Kepala Madrasah, wakil kepala bidak pengajaran dan guru. Penelitian ini memberikan kesimpulan bahwa, program supervisi pengajaran yang disusun oleh pengawas madrasah adalah program semester dan program tahunan yang meliputi pembinaan kinerja guru dalam kelompok dan pembinaan  individual guru. Pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran dalam rangka peningkatan kompetensi professional guru dilakukan melalui observasi kelas, pertemuan individu, diskusi kelompok dan demontrasi mengajar, hambatan hambatan yang dihadapi pengawas madrasah dalam pelasanaan supervisi adalah  kurangnya tenaga pengawas madrasah di Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Aceh Barat, kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam menyusun program pembelajaran, kurangnya guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran, teknik pelaksanaan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi menggunakan Supervisi manajerial.Kata kunci: Supervisi, Pengajaran, Kompetensi, Profesional.

Abstract

The performance of principals is a crucial factor in improving the competence of educator professional as well as teachers. This observation is intended to let us know the steps taken in devising plans and strategies and obstacles found by leaders in schools for teacher professional enhancement on Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri  Peureumeu Aceh Barat Regency. This observation uses exposure method with qualitative approach. Observation techniques, interviews, documentation and triangulation performed for data collection. Study subjects were school leaders, vice principals, MGMP leaders, and educators as well as teachers. The study results showed that: (1) The ability of school leaders to be taken in developing professional teacher improvement plans is to identify problems, analyze challenges and solve them, programming, formulating activities and formulating cost plans; (2) Strategies implemented by school leaders to improve the competence of teaching professionals as well as educators are using the stage of creating work programs, establishing and activating MGMP activities in schools, education and training, and giving permission to continue higher education; (3) Obstacles encountered in improving the professional competence of teachers is limited availability of facilities, time constraints, responsibilities sebahagian teachers who are still low and cost limitations. Abstract

Education facilities and infrastructure is one part of the existing management within educational institutions, facilities and infrastructure have a very important role in an organization, institution or educational institution. Without the facilities and infrastructure that support the education process is not running properly. The purpose this study is to find out a complete and accurate of management facilities and infrastructure in SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. The approach this research is qualitative. Instruments this study are interview guides, observation guides, documentation study guide. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation. The results this study are: (1) Planning facilities and infrastructure is analyzing and selecting needs that accordance with curriculum; (2) The procurement facilities and infrastructure starts from the draft budget approved by the agency based on the available funding sources. Procurement proposals are submitted to education office and other relevant departments and school alumni; (3) Maintenance facilities and infrastructure is by organizing routine maintenance every year, and major maintenance should make a proposal to propose funds the government; (4) Inventory facilities and infrastructure is done by administering inventory based on guidance from local government; (5) The process elimination facilities and infrastructure is done by making the proposal for the elimination of unsuitable goods used submitted to the municipal administration. The conclusion this research is planning facilities and infrastructure is analyzing needs that accordance with curriculum. Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the employee planning, the development strategies, and the obstacles found by a number of division and sub-division heads in the employee development of Administrative Office of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. The data for this qualitative research were collected by doing interview, observation, and documentation. The analysis consists of three activities, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. The subjects of this research were the vice-rectors, the heads of divisions and sub-divisions, and the employees. The results of this research indicated that: (1) The employee planning was done by arranging several programs of development and empowerment and adjusting the educational background of an employee with his position; (2) The strategies of employee development consist of coaching dan giving the chances to the employees to be the participants of education and training programs organized by Syiah Kuala University or other related institutions and agencies; (3) The obstacles found by the heads of divisions and sub-divisions were the internal factors such as the internal aspects, namely the elderly, limited funding for the development of education and should use their own cost, and sometimes inconsistency in program implementationcaused by the priority scale. In addition, there are also problems of external whom the government rules that restrict employees to continue their education.Keywords: employee development, educational resource management.

Abstract

One of the principal's role is to improve the educator professional and the quality of education in the educational institution through the implementation of supervision. This study aims to determine the process of supervisory program preparation, the techniques applied, the implementation of supervision/evaluation conducted and the feedback conducted by supervisors in improving the professional educator through supervision at SMP Negeri 3 Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar District. This research uses qualitative descriptive method and data collection using interview technique, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were school supervisors, principals and educators of science subjects. The results of this study indicate: (1) preparation of supervisory program involves all supervisors in Aceh Besar District through stages consisting of annual program, semester program and academic supervision plan (RPA); (2) the techniques applied in the implementation of supervision are individual techniques and group techniques; (3) evaluation of the implementation is carried out after the supervision process takes place and made the data for the supervisor to be collected to know the achievement of the targets that have been set, in order to be followed up with the next coaching program; (4) providing feedback by supervisors orally is to provide comments on the observation of the learning process and the provision of comments in writing to the results of observations of the learning process and followed by Action Plan of strengthening and reward for educators who have reached the standard, educators who have not reached the standard given educational direction and provide opportunities for educators to attend further training or upgrading.

Abstract

Abstract: Principal as a top manager has a strategic role in improving the discipline and work motivation of teachers. This study aimed to describe the programs, the policy, and the obstacles of principal in improving the discipline and work motivation of teachers in State Elementary School 36 Laksana of Banda Aceh. This study used qualitative descriptive approach. Techniques of data collection used were interview, observation, and documentation study. Subjects of this study were principal and teachers. The results of the study showed that the program of improving the discipline and work motivation of teachers aimed to achieve an optimal teaching-learning process, so that the quality of school can be improved. Each program plan was purposed to make the teaching-learning process become effective, fun, and school-goals oriented. The policy of principal in improving the commitment of teachers was the implementation of situational leadership for low-commitment teachers, and the implementation of consultative and participative leadership for high-commitment teachers. The principal always discussed the policies with the teachers. The obstacles in improving the discipline and work motivation of teachers were the condition of few teachers that came late to school, some teachers did not prepare the teaching materials well, and some of them did not use media in teaching process.Keywords: Strategies of Principal, Discipline and Motivation of Teachers.Abstrak: Kepala sekolah sebagai top manager memiliki peran yang strategis dalam meningkatkan disiplin dan motivasi kerja guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program kepala sekolah, kebijakan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan komitmen dan motivasi kerja guru, serta kendala kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin dan motivasi kerja pada guru SD Negeri 36 Laksana Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program peningkatan disiplin dan motivasi kerja guru bersasaran untuk tercapainya proses pembelajaran dengan optimal, sehingga pada akhirnya mutu sekolah dapat diitingkatkan. Setiap penyusunan program diarahkan agar proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan baik, efektif, dan menyenangkan, dan berorientasi kepada pencapaian tujuan sekolah. Kebijakan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru dengan menerapkan kepemimpinan yang bersifat situasional bagi guru-guru yang komitmen kerjanya biasa, tetapi sikap mereka lebih patuh dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, kepala sekolah menerapkan kepemimpinan konsultatif dan partisipatif. Kepala sekolah banyak berdiskusi untuk mendapatkan cara yang disetujui oleh guru-guru. Kendala dalam meningkatkan disiplin dan motivasi kerja guru antara lain masih ada sebagian kecil guru yang datang terlambat ke sekolah, masih ada guru yang tidak menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan lengkap, tidak pernah menggunakan media dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Strategi Kepala Sekolah, disiplin dan motivasi guru

Abstract

Management of guidance and counseling teacher is an important factor in improving the quality of education. Management of guidance and counseling will be able to provide effective guidance service. This study was conducted to find out the overview of program, implementation, evaluation, and obtascles faced by guidance and counseling teachers in SMA ( senior high school) 1 Banda Aceh. The research method used was qualitative approach. The data collection was done by means of observation, interview, documentation, and data analysis. The subjects of the study were principals, guidance and counseling teachers, and student. 1). The programs of guidance and counseling teachers whic hare in forms of annual, monthly, and daily RPL programs were well arranged, 2). The implementasion of guidance service was done based on the curriculum and certain cases faced by the students, and the implementasion of the program consists of guidance service for students, 3). The evaluation done by guidance and counseling teachers was based on the cases that had been solved including violation in discipline such as coming late to school, using inappropriate school attributes, and carrying mobile phone to school. The evaluation conducted by taecher and counseling guidance was in accordance with the problems faced by the students. 4). One of the obstacles faced by guidance and counseling teachers is lack of support and collaborative work with homeroom teachers and 0SIS supervisor in resolving students’ problems. Moreover, there were only few books avaible related to guidance and counseling service in the school library.Keywords: management, guidance, and counseling teachers.
