Abstract

ABSTRAK Kualitas dan produktivitas alfalfa dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan yang diberikan antara lain tinggi pemotongan, jenis dan dosis pupuk. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji karakteristik fotosintetik (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa pada tinggi pemotongan dan pemupukan nitrogen yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juli sampai Desember 2011. Penanaman alfalfa dilakukan di lahan Dusun Milir, Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang dengan ketinggian tempat + 800 mdpl. Analisis dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanaman Makanan Ternak, Jurusan Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial 2 x 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Kelompok sebagai ulangan. Tinggi pemotongan (T) sebagai faktor pertama (T1 = 5 cm dan T2 = 10 cm), dan dosis pupuk nitrogen (N) sebagai faktor kedua (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg dan N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian adalah karakteristik fotosintesis (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemupukan nitrogen sampai dosis 90 kg N/ha serta tinggi pemotongan 5 dan 10 cm tidak berpengaruh pada luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa. Tidak ada interaksi antara tinggi pemotongan dengan pemupukan nitrogen terhadap luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa.Kata kunci : Alfalfa, tinggi pemotongan, pupuk nitrogen, fotosintesis, serapan fosforABSTRACT Quality and productivity of alfalfa was influence for good management, for example defoliation intensity, variety and dosage of fertilizer. The research was conducted to evaluate photosynthesis characteristics (leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate) and phospor uptake of alfalfa with different defoliation internsity and nitrogen fertilizer. The research was carried out on July until December 2011 at the garden in the village Kenteng, Bandungan, Semarang located at an altitude + 800 mdpl. Analysis was carried out at Forages Crops Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University. The design using randomized block design 2x4 factorial with 3 replications. The first was defoliation intensity (T1 = 5 cm and T2 = 10 cm) the second factor was dosage of nitrogen fertilizer (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg and N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameters such as photosynthesis characteristics (leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate) and phospor uptake. The results showed that nitrogen fertilization until dosage 90 kg N/ha and defoliation intensity 5 and 10 cm did not affect to leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate and phospor uptake. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji serapan nitrogen dan fosfor tanaman eceng gondok pada “perairan” yang mendapatkan kotoran itik. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah T0 = limbah kotoran itik 0 gram/liter air, dan digunakan sebagai kontrol, T1 = limbah kotoran itik 5 gram/liter air, T2 = limbah kotoran itik 10 gram/liter air, T3 = limbah kotoran itik 15 gram/liter air, dan T4 = limbah kotoran itik 20 gram/liter air. Parameter penelitian adalah serapan nitrogen dan serapan fosfor eceng gondok. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis ragam dilanjutkan dengan perbandingan nilai tengah BNJ untuk melihat uji beda dan uji Polinomial Ortogonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kotoran itik berpengaruh terhadap serapan nitrogen dan fosfor (P<0,05). Serapan N tertinggi sebesar 319,8159 mg dicapai pada perlakuan 20,00 g/l air, sedangkan serapan P tertinggi sebesar 607,9949 mg dicapai pada perlakuan 20,00 g/l air.Kata kunci: eceng gondok, kotoran itik, serapan nitrogen, serapan fosforABSTRACTThe study aims to examine nitrogen and phosphor uptake of water hyacinth as forage resources in “water” by addition of duck manure. Experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment applied were T0 = control, no duck manure addition; T1 = addition of 5 g/l of duck manure; T2 = addition of 10 g/l of duck manure; T3 = addition of 15 g/l of duck manure; T4 = addition of 20 g/l duck manure. Parameters observed are nitrogen uptake and phosphor uptake. Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance and if there was a significant treatment effect data were continue analyzed by Tukey’s Honestly Significance Difference Test and Orthogonal Polynomial test. The results showed that the addition of duck manure affect uptake of nitrogen and phosphor (P <0.05). The uptake of N and P of water hyacinth with maximum levels occurred in 319,8159 mg the treatment of 20.00 g / l for the uptake of N and 607,9949 mg the treatment 20.00 g / l for the uptake of P. Abstract

ABSTRAK    Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik dan urea terhadap pertumbuhan dan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus – Desember 2013 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah benih jagung manis, kompos, pupuk kandang, arang dan urea (46% N) serta KCl dan TSP sebagai pupuk dasar. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Monofaktor 9 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 27 petak masing-masing dengan ukuran 1,6 x 1,2 m (1,92 m2). Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, produksi bahan kering dan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam, apabila perlakuan berpengaruh nyata, dilanjutkan dengan uji kontras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk menghasilkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, produksi bahan kering dan kadar fosfor jerami nyata lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa pupuk. Pemberian pupuk organik + urea menghasilkan tinggi tanaman dan produksi bahan kering nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pupuk organik. Pemupukan kompos + arang menghasilkan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pupuk kandang + arang.Kata kunci : pertumbuhan; kualitas; pupuk; Zea mays saccharata. ABSTRACT The study was conducted to examine the effect of organic and urea fertilizer on the growth and phosphorus concentration of sweet corn stover. The field experiment was conducted in August – December 2013 in Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences laboratory Diponegoro University. Material used in this study was sweet corn seed, compost, manure, charcoal and urea (46% N) also KCl and TSP as basic fertilizer. The experimental design used was Monofaktor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 9 treatments with 3 replicates, so there are 27 plots with the size of each is 1.6 x 1.2 m (1.92 m2). The parameters observed were plant height, dry matter yield, and phosphorus concentration of sweet corn stover. Research data processed by analysis of variance, if the treatment has significant effect, then followed by contrast test. The result showed that fertilizer application deliver significant effect on height plant, dry matter yield, and phosporus concentration compared to without fertilizer. Organic fertilizer plus urea deliver higher significant effect on height plant and dry matter yield compared to organic fertilizer. Compost plus charcoal deliver higher significant effect on phosporus concentration of sweet corn stover compared to manure plus charcoal.Keywords: growth; phosporus concentration; fertilizers; Zea mays saccharata

Abstract

A study was conducted to assess the provision of duck manure on growth and dry matter production of water hyacinth as a feed resource. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, providing sewage ducks in each treatment (T0; 0 g / l of water, T1, 5 g / l of water, T2, 10 g / l of water , T3; 15 g / l of water, and T4; 20 g / l of water). Parameters measured were growth and dry matter production. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (significance level of 5%) followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test to see different test and trials Orthogonal Polynomials. The results showed that the addition of duck manure in water hyacinth plants can enhance the growth of Total Leaf weeks 6 and dry matter production. Growth in the number of leaf-6 weeks to the highest achieved in the addition of duck manure 12,91 g / l with real predictive value of 233 strands, but not on plant height and leaf area, while the highest dry matter production achieved in the addition of duck manure as much as 12 g / l with real predictive value of 18,56 g.Keywords: duck manure, water hyacinth, growth, dry matter production

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan kotoran itik dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap serapan nitrogen dan serapan fosfor tanaman Lemna minor. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan meliputi P1 = kontrol; P2 = 5 g/l kotoran itik; P3 = 10 g/l kotoran itik; P4 = 15 g/l kotoran itik; P5 = 20 g/l kotoran itik. Parameter yang diamati adalah serapan nitrogen dan serapan fosfor. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji F (p<0,05) dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf 5% dan uji Polinomial Ortogonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kotoran itik mampu meningkatkan serapan nitrogen dan serapan fosfor secara nyata (p<0,05). Serapan nitrogen tertinggi dicapai pada penambahan kotoran itik sebanyak 19,625 g/l sedangkan serapan fosfor pada 13,12 g/l. Efisiensi pemanfaatan nitrogen dan fosfor tertinggi dicapai pada penambahan kotoran itik 20 g/l sebesar 2,4380% dan 15 g/l sebesar 8,6232%.Kata kunci: Lemna minor, kotoran itik, serapan nitrogen, serapan fosforABSTRACTThe study aims to examine the effect of adding duck manure with different doses on the nitrogen and phosphor uptake of Lemna minor. Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance and if there was a significant treatment effect (p <0.05) data were continue analyzed by Duncan's multiple range test at the level of 5% and Orthogonal Polynomial test. The results showed that the addition of duck manure was able to increase uptake of nitrogen and phosphor uptake significantly (p<0.05). The highest nitrogen uptake achieved in the addition of duck manure as much as 19.625 g/l while the uptake of phosphor at 13.12 g/l. The highest nitrogen and phosphor utilization efficiency achieved in the addition of duck manure 20 g/l of 2.4380% and 15 g / l of 8.6232%.Key words: Lemna minor, duck manure, nitrogen uptake, phosphor uptake
