Abstract

This study is qualitative research by using descriptive methods. Data of this research is intrinsic element that support inner figure conflict in novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana”. Source of the data is novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy publish in 2011 that cansists of 284 page divide in 18 chapters. The purpose of this research is to describe inner conflice woman based on “Id”, “Ego”, and “Super Ego” that is caused of inner conflict in novel “Cinta Suci Zahrana” created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research explains that Zahrana. Who has the woman figure in this novel have inner conflict because of “Ego” affected of herself. She too keep the ego was in hersef, so that she was wrong in taking decisions. She was sad because cold treatment of her parents when she succeed made an achievement that is proud. It causes of “Id aspect” that affected herself. Then, inner conflict Zahrana more added when she proposed bya Mr. Sukarman, the people who has bad attitude and as Dekan at the university where she was teach at that place. She decided to resign as a lecturer at Univ. Magunkarsa because she didn’t receive Mr. Surkarman’s propose. She chooses that decision because of “Super Ego” aspect an herselt. When her fiance was died, “Id aspect” always affect herself. Noeverhteless she was able to resolve the problem. Finally, Zahrana find her soulmate, she was married with Hasan, who has her students, and she lived happily.

Abstract

The back ground of this observe are. First a students are seace to get a bad response pens are not afraid to get a good response from their friends in the classroom. It is a major factor in students not confident expressing their ideas orally results through speaking activities. Second, lack of interest and attention of students in learning to talk like drama and role play. Third, the use of techniques that are less interesting and too monotonous to wear a long lesson. This research is quantitative research design types exsperimen. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA PGRI 2 Padang registered in 2011/2012. Number of students is 111 students spread into 3 classes. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling technique. Researchers determined that XI1 class is 31 people as the control class and the class that numbered 30 XI2 IPS as a second grade class experiment, the writers choose as a class sample.The results showed as follows. First, the results of speaking skills is known that the average ability of students to speak without using the technique of playing the role of class XI IPS1 with an average value of 62.90 which is in the range 56-65% which kualisifikasinya "enough". Second, the results in this study students speaking ability by using role-playing techniques class XI IPS 2 with an average value of 74.80 which is in the range 66-75% which kualisifikasinya "more than enough". Based on the classification results using the talk test konfersi 10 scale. Third, there are differences in student learning outcomes without the use of role playing techniques and by using the technique of playing a role in learning speaking class XI SMA PGRI 2 Padang significantly from the use of techniques of playing the role of t-test results on the level of 95% (α = 0, 05) t = 3.73 t table = 1.645 thus HI accepted.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: first, the ability to write short stories at student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab in terms of student’s ability to develop plot, setting, and characterization. Second, the influence of using the copy master technique to the ability of writing the short stories for student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab in terms of student’s ability to develop plot, setting, and characterization. This research is a quantitative study with experimental methods. Sample size was 20 respondents, taken with purposive sampling technique. The data of this study is the scores of the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab before and after using the copy master techniques. The data is analyzed and then conducted the t-test to determine the influence of using the copy master technique to the ability of writing the short stories for student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab. Based on the research results, it was concluded the following three points. First, the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab before using the technique of the copies master are on Good (B) qualification with an average (77.45). Second, the ability to write short stories at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab after using the copy master techniques are on the Good (B) qualification with an average (85.7). Third, there is a significant influence in the using of the copy master techniques in teaching the short story writing at class X SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tarab with toutput (2,34) > ttab1e (1.73). In other words, H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, the copy master technique is ideal to be used in learning of writing the short stories.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya ditemukan perubahan sosial  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  untuk; (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk perubahan sosial yang terefleksi  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi, (2) mendeskripsikan penyebab perubahan  sosial yang terefleksi dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti karya Wisran Hadi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif yang berupa kata-kata tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa:  Pertama,  dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti  terdapat empat bentuk perubahan sosial, yaitu perubahan pengelolaan harta pusaka,  pergeseran posisi bundo kanduang,  perubahan peran penghulu, dan perubahan  sistem perkawinan. Kedua, dalam novel Orang-orang Blanti  terdapat dua penyebab terjadinya perubahan sosial. Dua  penyebab yang sangat berpengaruh besar dalam perubahan tersebut yaitu faktor ekonomi dan kekuasaan, serta  kekacauan dalam negeri.

Abstract

Dalam tahun-tahun belakangan ini, banyak pendapat dalam berbagai forummenyatakan bahwa kompetensi menulis siswa-siswa kita mengalami penurunan.Mereka tidak mampu menerapkan proses pembelajaran dalam komunikasi tertulis.Secara umum, kemampuan ini diakibatkan oleh warisan sejarah nasional yangterkait dengan konsep pendidikan kolonialisme, tradisi komunikasi lisan,kebigungan dalam mengungkapkan ide atau gagasan, ketidakmampuan guru dalammengajar, panduan mata pelajaran dasar, dan model-model yang digunakan paraguru dalam menyampaikan pelajaran. Fenomena yang selalu menjadi pembahasanutama dalam proses pembelajaran menulis perlu diatasi sehingga kondisi yangtidak diinginkan dapat dipecahkan. Begitu pula, perlu menemukan penyebabnyasehingga dapat dilakukan diagnosis sebagai proses terapi. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension text exposition to writing skills text description grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang 2.. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 156 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text exposition and score the writing skills test result text exposition. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text exposition and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text exposition. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 79.39. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.23. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the description of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang  Panjang 2 at 76,39%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to reveal the social criticism depicted in Djenar's Novel Nayla's works. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is research by solving a problem that exists in the object. This study used a Socioligi approach to literary sociology theory. The data source in this study was Nayla's novel by Djenar Maesa Ayu. The research data is in the form of words and display of narrator sentences and story figures and story actions. Data collection is done by reading, understanding and analyzing the novel. The data analysis is done by interpreting the data with the theory used in the research. The data validation technique in this study has discussions with lecturers to obtain correct and true information. The results of this study were the social criticism of poverty, social criticism of crime, social criticism of family disorganization, social homosexual criticism, and social and environmental unrest. The conclusion of the results and the discussion that, the research is more to the social problems found in the novel. Kata kunci: kritik sosial, novel Nayla, Djenar Maesa Ayu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is three. First, describing the reading skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. Third, describing the contribution of reading skills of anecdotal text to the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative by a descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contributions. The population of this study is the XI MA Negeri 3 class students enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, with 250 students. The samples in this study were determined by simple random sampling 25% of the population, which is 61 students. This research Data in the form of scores of test skills reads the understanding of anecdotal text and scores test results of anecdotal text. The Data is obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the reading skills of anecdotal text and test performance to measure anecdotal text writing skills. The results of this study were three. First, the reading skills of understanding anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 85.09. Secondly, the writing skills of anecdote-class students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are on a good qualifying (BS) with an average of 86.13. Thirdly, there is a contribution of the reading skills of anecdotal text to the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang amounted to 17.56%. Kata Kunci:Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Anekdot

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This purpose of this study is three. First, describing the procedure of writing text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang before using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images. Secondly, describing the procedure of writing text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang after using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images. Third, analyzing the effect of the use of project based learning models assisted by the media of serial images on the skills of writing procedure text for students of class VII in Junior High School 20 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with one group pretest and posttest design experimental methods. There are three results of this study. First, the procedure of writing text in the seventh grade of Junior High School 20 Padang before using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images is of sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 62,76. Second, the procedure of writing text in the seventh grade of Junior High School 20 Padang after using the project based learning model assisted by the media of serial images is of good qualification (B) with an average grade of 78,52. Third, based on the t-test, H1 is accepted at the 95% confidence level and dk = (n-1) because tcount>ttable (6,25>1,82).  Kata Kunci:  Pengaruh, Model Project Based Learning, Media Gambar Berseri, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Prosedur

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze intrinsic elements, the value of love, and the implementation of the value of love in Alma Aridatha's No Place Like Home novel in novel text learning in class XII high school students. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data source in this research is the No Place Like Home novel by Alma Aridatha. The results of the research were found as participants. First, there are seven intrinsic elements in Alma Aridatha's No Place Like Home novel, namely themes, characterizations, background, plot, point of view, language style, and mandate. Second, there are four values of love in Alma Aridatha's No Place Like Home novel, namely (1) 12 data the values of love for God; (2) 37 data the values of love for the family; (3) 12 data the values of love for others; and (4) 11 data the values of love for oneself. Third, the implementation of the value of love in Alma Aridatha's No Place Like Home novel in novel text learning class XII high school students 2013 curriculum with basic competencies related to three aspects of assessment, namely the assessment of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Based on the results of the research, it is expected that the teacher suggests the No Place Like Home novel by Alma Aridatha which is easily understood by students in novel text learning in high school so that learning objectives are achieved. Kata Kunci: nilai cinta kasih, pembelajaran teks novel
