Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui  pengaruh  equal employment opportunity terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui proses rekrutmen dan proses seleksi pada  PT. Enciety Binakarya Cemerlang.  Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode  sampel jenuh dimana menggunakan seluruh populasi untuk sampel, didapatkan 37 sampel dalam penelitian ini. Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antara variabel dependen terhadap variabel independennya melalui variabel intervening digunakan  analisis jalur. Uji instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Uji asumsi klasik yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas. Sedangkan untuk uji hipotesis digunakan uji T. Dari hasil hipotesis diketahui bahwa variabel equal employment opportunity memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui proses rekrutmen dan seleksi.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa  kinerja karyawan akan  PT. Enciety Binakarya Cemerlang akan meningkat seiring semakin baiknya penerapan  equal employment opportunity dalam proses rekrutmen dan seleksi. Sedangkan dari variabel tersebut yang berpengaruh dominan terhadap kinerja karyawan adalah proses seleksi pada PT. Enciety Binakarya Cemerlang. Kata Kunci: Equal Employment Opportunity, Rekrutmen, Seleksi, Kinerja, Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia.

Abstract

This research aimed to observe the influence of perception of equity in compensation which consists of the aspects are external equity, internal equity, individual equity, and procedural equity that influence employee job satisfaction in PT.  Telkom  Indonesia  Witel  Jatim  Selatan  Malang.  This  kind  of  research  is explanatory  research.  Data  were  obtain  using  a  questionnaire.  The  sample  in  this research is 64 peoples were determined by Slovin method. The result showed are: (1) Perception of equity in compensation is directly significant positive effect on job satisfaction, (2) external equity have a significant effect on job satisfaction, (3)internal equity haven’t a significant effect on job satisfaction, (4) individual equity have a significant effect on job satisfaction, (5) procedural equity have a significant effect on job satisfaction.   Keywords:   perception of equity in compensation, external equity, internal equity, individual equity, procedural equity, job satisfaction

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is considered a part of human rights. A company disregarding to the OSH issues would obtain bad image which may weaken the company's market power. Besides, the company should pay attention to environment issues. By integrating comprehensively OSH and environment issues in its strategy and policy, the company may obtain some benefits, especially which have related to worker productivity. The research objectives were (1) examining the effect of OSH management. physical security, and working condition on worker productivity simultaneously, (2) examining the effect of OSH management, physical security, and working condition on worker productivity partially. The research design was conducted by using observational and cross-sectional data toward 179 respondents of the workers at PT Easternter and PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie. The data collecting was conducted, by using questionnaire and also supported by secondary data. The data analysis was conducted, by using Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. To guarantee accuracy of statistical finding the research also present results of labor utilization rate (LUR) and labor productivity index. Result of multiple regression analysis revealed that OSH management, physical security, and working condition had impact on worker productivity simultaneously and partially. And partially, three independent variables also have impact on worker productivity for PT. Easterntex, except OSH management which had no impact on worker productivity for PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie significantly. Result for PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie actually similar to textile industry context.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is to know the effect of head nurse’s type of transformational and transactional leadership towards nurse’ organizational commitment at RSI UNISMA MALANG. The research method used descriptive analysis with cross sectional approach on ninety respondents. We have conducted the descriptive statistic test, double linear regression analysis, testing hypothesis, dominant variable test. Type of transformational and transactional leadership of head nurse gave significant affect simultaneously and partially to the nurse’ organizational commitment in Islamic Hospital UNISMA Malang. Transformational leadership type of head nurse affects dominantly to the nurse’ organizational commitment in Islamic Hospital Malang.Keywords: type of transformational and transactional leadership, organizational commitment

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the mediating role of deviant behavior on the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study was conducted on 112 government-owned bank employees in Manado, using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. This study indicates that organizational culture and ethical climate have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Organizational culture and ethical climate also have a significant negative effect on deviant behavior. However, behavior does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Deviant behavior also does not mediate the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study places deviant behavior as a mediating variable on organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. An important finding from this study is that behavior does not play a role in improving employee performance, nor does it play a mediator between organizational culture or ethical climate to employee performance.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of individual, organization, and behaviortowards nurses’hand hygiene compliance. The design of this study uses analytic descriptivestudy design with cross sectional approach on 71 respondents. The data analysis uses descriptivestatistical test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, anddominant variabletests. Individuals, organizations and behaviors significantly influence nurses’ hand hygienecompliance. Abstract

The aims of this research are to find a description of intellectual capital, job satisfaction, and employees performance; and tested explanation about the influence of intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control on job satisfaction and performance; job satisfaction on performance; and intellectual capital on performance with job satisfaction as the mediation. The Local Government Officials at some Regencies in East Java which are dispersed in eight regencies, namely: Malang, Malang City, and Batu which were the observation objects and in the implementation this research used the verification research and survey method, with Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collected by interview and questionnaire as the research technique. The result of descriptive analysis shows that (1) the officials' intellectual capital which observed both of total and each components resulted in moderate high category, (2) officials job satisfaction were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in high category, expect job satisfaction on the dimensions of pay and promotion still in moderate high category and (3) officials performance were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in moderate high category, expect performance on dimension of cooperation was in high category. The result of path analysis shows that (1) intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control have positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and performance, (2) job satisfaction has positive and significant influence on performance and (3) intellectual capital has positive and significant influence on the performance with job satisfaction as the mediation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Individual, psychological and organizational factors on the performance of physicians in the medical resume completeness.The research design is observational research with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study is all physician who becomes a doctor in charge of serviceand medical resume documents that are the responsibility of the physician. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire given to the physician. Partial Least Square (PLS) was used as data analysis method.The results showed that 34.4% of respondents had complete medical resume <50%. Also, some doctors did not know the importance of a medical resume in National Health Insuranceera. Psychological factor has the most significant direct effect coefficient on physician performance with immediate effect coefficient of 0.334.The conclusion of this studyare the Individual factors had a negative but not significant effect on physician performance,psychological factors have a negative and significant impact on physician’s performance,and organizational factors have a positive but not significant impact on physician performance. The hospital should facilitate a gathering event for doctors and facilities for external training for doctors can be awarded as rewards to the best performing physician.

Abstract

Creating change readiness may be one of the key factors in determining whether a given change intervention will ultimately be successful or not. For higher education institution to assist academic society in being motivated and prepared for change, it is essential that leaders, lecturers, employees, and also students understand factors that may influence readiness for change. The purpose of this research study was to investigate the impact of human resource management intervention consisting of goal setting, performance appraisal, and reward system toward readiness for change. The data was collected through a survey using self-reported questionnaire and accidental sampling. Survey responses collected from a sample of 100 university students in three departments in higher education organization which are continuing the process of transformation. The findings indicate that there are significant effect of performance appraisal on readiness for change. This study were also found significant effect of reward system toward readiness for change. However, the results indicate that goal setting has no impact on readiness for change. Additionally, the implications and applications of these findings are discussed.

Abstract

Local government officials are required to have sufficient quality and high professionalism to be able to carry out the governmental tasks and community development in order to provide excellent service to the community. The purpose of this study is to identify the application of the principles of human resource management (HRM) on the government officials in East Kalimantan border region and to know the needs of human resource of government officials, both in terms of quantity and quality.This research was conducted in Nunukan, Malinau and West Kutai. By using descriptive quantitative approach,this study found statement of the respondents, such as regarding the recruitment process which still did not meet the expectation. In addition, the staff placed in the border region does not have adequate ability to perform the task given. Furthermore, the development process of human resource has been good; however,the sanction and reward given are still not good.From the results of this study, it can be concluded that in general, human resource management in border regionhas been done, but there is still a shortage of the number of personnel workin the borderregion. Quantitatively, itstill needs improvement, given the wide border area with great number of the people,so that the ratio between the officials and area of service is not balance.This study suggeststhat human resource management of government officialsin border areashould be done as one of the successes and efforts in order to improve public services for the community; therefore, itshould be conducted seriously.
