Abstract

In the 21st century students are required to have learning skills and innovation. One of the learning skills is critical thinking skills (CTS). Guided Inquiry is one of the learning model that able to develop CTS students through its learning syntax. This study aims to describe the quality of learning implementation and improvement of CTS. The enhanced CTS includes indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation. The research design is pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study are students of class XI MIA 8 and XI MIA 7 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. The improvement of CTS was analyzed using paired t-test and normalized gain-score analysis. The results showed that the guided inquiry implementation is 100% with good criteria and CTS improved significantly with gain score categorized as medium. Abstract

Physics learning that only fixed on definition and formula causing low student learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to describe the results of learning activities and student learning outcomes when applying guided inquiry based peer tutor learning model on dynamic fluid. This type of research is experimental research with one-group pretest-posttest design with replication. This research was conducted in XI IPA 1 (experiment), XI IPA 3 (1st replication), and XI IPA 4 (2nd replication) in SMAN 1 Ngronggot. The research instruments are learning activities sheet, pre-test and post-test sheets and skill assessment sheets. The increased of student learning outcomes were analyzed using paired t-test and n-gain analysis. Based on the study, it shows that the learning activities is done 100% with the quality is in good category. Student learning outcomes is improved with high n-gain scores in all three classes. Therefore, guided inquiry based peer tutor can improve student learning outcomes on dynamic fluid.Keywords: guided inquiry based peer tutor, learning outcomes

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan dasar dari pemikiran ilmiah dan penelitian yang masih perlu dilatihkan kepada peserta didik. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yaitu model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur karena sintaks dari model pembelajaran tersebut merupakan pengembangan dari metode ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur dan hasil keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian pre-experimental dengan one groups pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa : (1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur terlaksana dengan kualitas baik, dan (2) keterampilan proses sains setelah diberi perlakuan mengalami peningkatan dengan berkategori tinggi. Penelian ini memberikan simpulan bahwa dengan diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains. Abstract

In the process of studying physics, there are several problems that often encountered such as physics is one of the subjects considered to be complicated by most students. In addition, teaching activities that are generally still focused on teachers (teacher centered) and students are given less opportunity to work together in completing the structured tasks given by teachers. From these problems, it can be applied cooperative model type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) as an alternative solution that encourages students actively involved in understanding the concept of physics so that learning process becomes meaningful then learning outcomes can be improved.The purpose of this research are to describe the implementation of TAI type cooperative model and to describe the improvement of learning outcome from knowledge, attitude, and skill aspect. This research is a quantitative research with Control Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Subjects in this study are class X MIA 1 as experimental class and X MIA 2 as control class. Methods of data analysis are by using interview method, observation method, validation method and test method which is test method consist of pre-test and post-test. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of TAI type cooperative model has done well and there is improvement of student learning outcomes better after applying TAI type cooperative model from knowledge, attitude and skill aspect than student learning outcomes applying the conventional model. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran fisika berbasis kegiatan laboratorium yang dilengkapi dengan lembar kegiatan peserta didik model inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dan mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini dikategorikan pre experimental dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan purpossive sampling, maka didapatkan tiga kelas X MIA di SMAN 1 Babat. Pembelajaran fisika berbasis kegiatan laboratorium dapat diterapkan dan kualitas keterlaksanaan pembelajaran masuk dalam berkategori baik. Hasil belajar ranah keterampilan peserta didik yang dilatihkan mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran fisika berbasis kegiatan laboratorium dilengkapi dengan lembar kegiatan peserta didik model inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki peserta didik. Kata kunci : keterampilan proses sains, kegiatan laboratorium, inkuiri terbimbing.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze student?s leaning outcomes after applied guided inquiry learning model using PhET Simulation. Type of this research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design, and it uses one class as experiment and one class as replication. Samples are students of class XI-1 and XI-2 Woman in SMK Informatika Al Qolam Labang, which had been tested normality and homogeneity tests, all two classes are distributed normally and homogeneous. Variables of this research include independent variable is giving a treatment guided inquiry learning model, dependent variable is student learning outcomes, implementation of learning, and students? response, while control variable is teacher, allocation time, momentum and impuls. It is known that proposed hypothesis, H0 is non significant gain, and H1 is significant gain. Based on t-test analysis, it is found that tcalculation ? ttabel., therefore H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted with a 5 % error level. This result shows student learning outcomes in all two classes are XI-1 and XI-2 Woman have increased significantly with n-gain score 0,68 and 0,67. Skill?s average and attitudes? average score in all two classes belong good category.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, hasil belajar dan respon siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis laboratorium PhET pada materi teori kinetik gas di kelas XI SMAN 1 Driyorejo. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre eksperimental design dan rancangan penelitian one group pre-test-post-test design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas eksperimen dan replikasi dengan jumlah masing ? masing 23 dan 26 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah validasi, observasi, tes dan angket. Dari penelitian diperoleh keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimentermasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik pada kelas replikasi juga termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik, kemudian hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan pada kelas replikasi juga termasuk kategori tinggi, dan respon siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan replikasi termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis laboratorium PhET pada materi teori kinetik gas dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing¸ PhET, teori kinetik gas, hasil belajar Abstract This study aim to describe the practicability of the strategy, to describe the student learning achievement, and to describe the student?s responses by using guided inquiry learning models based on PhET laboratory on kinetic theory of gaas materials grade XI in Senior High School 1 Driyorejo. The conducted research is a quantitative descriptive research with a pre-experimental design and by using one group pre-test ? post-test experimental design. Subjects of research are students in eksperiment class and replication class which consist of 23 and 26 students. The method used in this research is validation, observation, test , and questionnaire. The result is practicability of the strategy in experiment class and replication class which is really good in category. Then the n-gain score of student learning achievement in experiment class and replication class which is really high in category, and the student response questionarries in experiment class and replication class which categorized as really good. Thus, this research concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model based on PhET virtual laboratory in the kinetic theory of gas has been sucsessfully implemented with a really good result. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mendesripsikan hasil keterlaksanaan, peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa, serta respon siswa setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi getaran harmonis. Penelitian dialaksanakan menggunakan tiga kelas sebagai sampel, dimana satu kelas sebagai eksperiman dan dua kelas replikasi yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre Eksperimen desain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode validasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Instumen tes yang digunakan berupa soal uraian yang dikerjakan oleh siswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas, kelas experimen dan kelas replikasi terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) keterlasanaan pembelajaran pada ketiga kelas disetiap pertemuannya berategori sangat baik berdasakan fase pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, 2) hasil keterampilan proses sains siswa meningkat setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, 3)berdasaran hasil anget respon, siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik terhadap pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis pendekatan saintifik untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi usaha dan energi. Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat menunjukkan LKPD yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dilihat dari aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Aspek validitas LKPD menunjukkan telah memenuhi kategori valid dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 85%. Aspek kepraktisan LKPD menunjukkan telah memenuhi kriteria praktis dengan persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 92% dan aktivitas peserta didik sebesar 94% dengan kategori terlaksana sangat baik. Aspek keefektifan LKPD yang dikembangkan menunjukkan telah memenuhi kriteria efektif dengan persentase respon peserta didik sebesar 93% dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan ditinjau dari ketercapaian keterampilan berpikir kritis, LKPD yang dikembangkan dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan ditunjukkan dari nilai rata-rata n-gain sebesar 0,57 yang berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, LKPD yang dikembangkan layak dipergunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada peserta didik. Kata kunci: LKPD, berpikir kritis, Usaha dan Energi.Abstract This study aims to produce a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on a scientific approach to facilitate critical thinking skills on topic the work and energy. The development model used in this study is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Based on the results of the research obtained it shows that the LKPD developed is feasible to use in terms of aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity aspect of the LKPD shows that it meets the valid category with an average percentage of 85%. The practical aspects of the LKPD show that they have met the practical criteria with the percentage of learning feasibility amounting to 92% and the activities of students at 94% with the category implemented very well. The effectiveness aspects of the developed LKPD show that they have met the effective criteria with the percentage of students responses being 93% in the excellent category. While in terms of the achievement of critical thinking skills, the developed LKPD can facilitate critical thinking skills by showing the average value of n-gain of 0.57 which is in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, the developed LKPD is suitable to be used to facilitate critical thinking skills in students. Keywords: student worksheet, critical thinking, work and energy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out student?s conception profile after cognitive conflict teaching strategy has been applied through learning model guided inquiry. Pre-test showed that misconception level of student in a high level, that is 61,02%. The effort to reduce student?s misconception is by given cognitive conflict strategy to the student?s with expectation that student will be aware of their wrong conception so that they decided to change their wrong conception. Conflict Cognitive is given through learning model guided inquiry. CRI (certainty of response index) is used to identify student?s conception. Conflict cognitive strategy can reduce the level of student?s misconception according to the outcome. Post-test result showed that misconception percentage is downgrade to 20,00%.Key Word: Misconception, Cognitive Conflict, CRI
