Abstract

Lack of understanding of the concepts students are not due only to the lack of ability of students to absorb the material submitted by teachers, but also influenced by the ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning activities. Teachers have an important role in the sustainability of good teaching, one of them to set up an exciting learning device so enthusiastic student learning. This study aims to develop learning tools guided inquiry-based high school physics to enhance students' understanding of concepts on the subject of Dynamic Electricity. Development of the 4D model and tested in class X in SMAN 1 Babat odd semester academic year 2012/2013. This research is the development of research trial design using the One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Data collection methods used were questionnaires and observation, while the data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result showed that some of the findings: RPP performing well and a high degree of reliability; activity is the dominant student observation / experiment; students 'understanding of the concept after learning improving students' responses to learning a positive model of guided inquiry. Based on the results of this study concluded that the quality of learning that have developed viable use in teaching to enhance students' understanding of physics concepts. Kurangnya pemahaman konsep siswa tidak disebabkan hanya pada kurangnya kemampuan siswa menyerap materi yang disampaikan guru, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kegiatan belajar mengajar. Guru mempunyai peran penting pada keberlangsungan pembelajaran yang baik, salah satunya untuk menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga siswa antusias mengikuti pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika SMA berbasis guided inquiry untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pokok bahasan Listrik Dinamis. Pengembangan perangkat  menggunakan model 4D dan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Babat pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan yaitu: RPP terlaksana dengan baik dan derajat reliabilitas tinggi; aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah pengamatan/percobaan; pemahaman konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran meningkat; respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran model guided inquiry positif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mempunyai kualitas layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated science learning material of Nested model to improve concepts understanding, organizing skills, and thinking skills of students on heat concepts. This development model use Kemp?s model and tested to students at grade 7th of SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda in 2014/2015 academic year. The Pre-Experimental study with three classes consisting of one implementation class and two replication classes using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data of the study collected through validity of learning material, observation, test, and questionnaire. The study found: 1) the validity of the learning material, consists of: (a) the conceptual validity, the RPP gets value 0,91, BAPD gets value  0,90, LKPD gets value 0,89, conceptual understanding test gets value 0,95, organizing skills test get value 1,00, and thinking skills test 0,96; (b) the legibility gets value  85%; and (c) the difficulty level gets value  3,46%; 2) practicality, consists of: (a) the enforceability of RPP gets value  94,8% and (b) obstacles during the learning  can be overcome; 3) effectiveness for three pre-experimental classes, consists of: (a) the activity that not relevant gets value  2,86%; (b) the student?s respon gets value  85,02; and (c) effectiveness of concepts understanding get value 0,82, (d) effectiveness of organizing skills get value  0,79, and (e) effectiveness of thinking skills get value 0,78. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu model Nested yang layak untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan mengorganisir, dan keterampilan berpikir peserta didik pada konsep kalor. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah model Kemp dan diujicobakan kepada peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Rancangan terhadap tiga kelas uji lapang yang terdiri atas satu kelas implementasi dan dua kelas replikasi menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran, terdiri atas: (a) validitas konseptual, pada RPP sebesar 0,91, BAPD sebesar 0,90, LKPD sebesar 0,89, soal tes pemahaman konsep sebesar 0,95, soal tes keterampilan mengorganisir sebesar 1,00, dan soal tes keterampilan berpikir 0,96; (b) keterbacaan perangkat sebesar 85%; dan (c) tingkat kesukaran perangkat sebesar 3,46%; 2) kepraktisan, terdiri atas: (a) penilaian keterlaksanaan RPP sebesar 94,8% dan (b) kendala-kendala selama pembelajaran dapat diatasi; 3) keefektifan untuk tiga kelas uji lapang, terdiri atas: (a) aktivitas yang tidak relevan sebesar 2,86%; (b) respon peserta didik sebesar 85,02; dan (c) pemahaman konsep dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,82; (d) keterampilan mengorganisir dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,79; dan (e) keterampilan berpikir dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,78.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model which are reasonable to increase critical thinking skills of students. Learning Instruments are developed using 4-D model with one group pretest-posttest design. The Learning Instruments are tested at 74 students class VIII MTs Negeri Bonde Majene Regency West Sulawesi Province third semester 2016/ 2017 school Year for measuring application of lesson plan, hindrances during learning process, result of learning which is critical thinking skills of students, and respons of students to the learning instruments developed. Data Collection uses validation method, observation, testing, and questionnaires. The data of this research are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively description. Finding of the research result, namely: (1) Instrument Validity including lesson Plan, Text book of students, activity sheets of students, test instruments of critical thinking indicated valid; (2) practically learning instruments are obtained from: (a) application of Lesson plan categorized by 95.23% with excellent category, and (b) obstacles during learning process; and (3) affectivity of learning instruments in terms of : (a) critical thinking skills of students through ­n-gain with higher category over 0.7 (Hake, 1999), and (b) the respons of students to the instruments and application of learning are very good. Based on the result of data analysis, can be concluded that learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model are feasible to increase critical thinking skills of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dengan menggunakan program simulasi PhET yang layak untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4-D yang direduksi menjadi 3-D dan diujicobakan di tiga kelas XI SMAN 4 Surabaya tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 dengan one group pretest posttest design.  Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan angket.Data dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Temuan penelitian yaitu: (1) Validitas: (a) Validasi RPP kategori baik, BAS kategori cukup baik, LKS kategori baik, Tes Uji Miskonsepsi umumnya valid; (b) Rata-rata keterbacaan BAS sebesar 59,8% dan LKS sebesar 71,3%; (c) Rata-rata tingkat kesulitan BAS sebesar 32,5% dan LKS sebesar 34,3%; (2) Kepraktisan meliputi: (a) Perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik, dan (b) Tingkat aktivitas siswa dikategorikan baik (3) Keefektifan yang meliputi: (a) hasil tes uji miskonsepsi dengan N(g) 0,73; dan hasil analisis uji statistik  one-way ANOVA, yaitu : 1) tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan penurunan miskonsepsi dari ketiga kelas, 2) N-Gain penurunan miskonsesi siswa dialami pada masing-masing kelas (b) Respon siswa terhadap KBM adalah positif. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini, disimulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran listrik dinamis dengan model inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan oleh siswa SMA untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop physics learning material based on 7E learning cycle model veable to use improving problem solving skills. Implementation of the research has done in class X of SMAN 16 Surabaya academic year 2014/2015. Methods of data collection are validity, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The materials was developed using the modified 4D model of the design testing one group pretest-posttest design. Analysis of the significance of the increase in problem-solving skills using a paired t test while to see the consistency of learning outcomes using analysis of variance. Results from this research showed: 1) the validity of learning material give results of the validation consisted of RPP value of 3.47 is valid categorized, BAS value of 3.50 is valid categorized, LKS is 3.64 categorized very valid, problem solving skills test value of 3 is valid categorized, legibility BAS is 73.90% being categorized, legibility LKS is 77.46 % higher category, the level of difficulty BAS  is 26.52 % low categorized, the difficulty level of LKS is 26.32% low categorized; 2) the practicality of the learning material consist of a feasibility study learning of 93.25% is very well categorized and learning implementation constraints that arise when students understand the steps the experiment; 3) the effectiveness of learning, in terms of problem-solving skills increase significantly between before and after the learning with a high degree of improvement category; Average student activity categorized in three classes, as well as students respond positively to the learning activities, and positive student?s response of learning activity. The results showed that physics learning material based on 7E learning cycle model veable to use improving problem solving skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model learning cycle 7E yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penyelesaian masalah. Penelitian pada kelas X SMAN 16 Surabaya tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan validasi, tes, observasi, dan angket. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 4-D dengan rancangan ujicoba one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis signifikansi peningkatan keterampilan penyelesaian masalah menggunakan uji t berpasangan sedangkan untuk melihat konsistensi hasil pembelajaran menggunakan analisis varians. Hasil penelitian: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran dengan hasil nilai validasi terdiri dari RPP sebesar 3.47 berkategori valid, BAS sebesar 3.50 berkategori valid, LKS sebesar 3.64 berkategori sangat valid, tes keterampilan penyelesaian masalah sebesar 3 berkategori valid, keterbacaan BAS sebesar 73.90% berkategori sedang, keterbacaan LKS sebesar 77.46% berkategori tinggi, tingkat kesulitan BAS sebesar 26.52% berkategori rendah, tingkat kesulitan LKS sebesar 26.32% berkategori rendah; 2) kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 93.25% berkategori sangat baik dan kendala pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang muncul saat siswa memahami langkah-langkah percobaan; 3) keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran, ditinjau dari peningkatan keterampilan penyelesaian masalah secara signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan derajat peningkatan berkategori tinggi; rata-rata aktivitas siswa di tiga kelas berkategori baik, serta respons siswa positif terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika model learning cycle 7E layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

This research was aimed at develope science learning materials using scientific approach with problem solving model on temperature and heat to complete junior high school students? achievement in 2013? curriculum setting that were valid, practical and effective so its are feasible to use in science learning on temperature and heat topic. This materials was developed using 4-D model that reduced into 3D (without dissemination) and tested in the seventh grade students A, B and C of SMP Negeri 5 Batang, academic year 2015/2016. The data collection technique used is the validation of the device, observation, testing, and questionnaires. Analized from knowledge students? achievement got N-Gain average in high cathagory with average value of each class A, B, and C (0,80, 0,84, and 0, 86) the impact of learning on the three classes were tested by Anova (Analisis of varians), significance level of 0,05 Farithmetic ? F table meaning there is no difference in the impact of learning in three classes, a consistent value. Achievement in attitude, and skills competencies each was categorized good. The research concludes that the scientific approach to science learning with problem solving models are decent (validity, practicality, and effectiveness) are used in learning. Thus the mastery of teachers in managing learning is necessary so that the learning objectives be achieved with good and running smoothly. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem solving pada materi suhu dan kalor untuk menuntaskan hasil belajar Siswa SMP Mengacu Kurikulum 2013 yang layak (valid, praktis dan efektif). Pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan mengikuti model four-D yang direduksi menjadi 3D (tanpa dissemination) dan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas VII.A, B, dan C SMP Negeri 5 Batang Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah validasi perangkat, observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan telah layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif). Hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan kategori N-Gain tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata tiap kelas A, B dan C (0,80, 0,84, dan 0,86), dampak pembelajaran pada tiga kelas diuji dengan Anova (analisis of varians)pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menghasilkan F hitung ?F tabel, artinya tidak ada perbedaan dampak pembelajaran pada tiga kelas, bernilai konsisten. Kompetensi sikap, dan keterampilan masing-masing berkategori baik, Respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem solving adalah layak (kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan) digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian penguasaan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran sangat diperlukan agar tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dengan baik dan berjalan lancar.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop instructional package using 5E model of instruction to foster student?s scientific reasoning. The instructional package consisting of lesson plan, handout, student?s worksheet, and scientific reasoning test was developed by using the four-D model. Subject of research in this study was instructional package using 5E model of instruction which was tried out on tenth grade students of SMAN 15 Surabaya. The tryout was conducted by using the one-group pre-test post- test design. This study used three techniques for collecting data, namely observation, test, and questionnaire. The obtained data were processed with descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings revealed that the developed instructional package reflecting th e 5E model was valid to be implemented in classroom, the completion of the lesson plan was categorized excellent, and students were engaged actively in the instruction of the 5E model as shown by their dominant activities namely performing experiment and discussion. The other findings showed that the 5E model of instruction is effective to foster student?s scientific reasoning skills and students gave positive responses to the implementation of the developed instructional package. However, there were obstacles that teacher and students faced during instructional process. Regarding to the findings, then it can be concluded that the developed instructional package reflecting 5E model of instruction is effective to be implemented to foster student?s scientific reasoning.

Abstract

Science learning materials with learning cycle 7E were developed to improve student?s critical thinking ability as the life necessities in 21st century. The purposes of this research are developing suitable science learning materials and complying eligible criteria, those are valid, practice, and effective. The subjects of this research was science learning materials with learning cycle 7E were developed to improve student?s critical thinking ability which implemented in students of first grade on junior high school of SMP Bilingual Terpadu Krian in second semester of 2015-2016 academic seasons. Learning materials were developed by 4D model and tested by using one group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected by the assessments of expert based on the validity of materials by expert, implemented lesson plan by observer, written test to measure the student?s critical thinking ability, and questionnaire to measure the student?s response of interest. The collected data was analyzed by qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of this research are the learning materials using learning cycle 7E is eligible to improve the student?s critical thinking ability. The contemplations of it are validation of the instruments in a good category, book can be read easily, feasibility of instruction in a good category, student?s critical thinking increase, student?s activities in the learning processes in a good category, and student?s response is positive.The research?s result axplain that effectiveness of lesson plain use 7E phase is not down if work sheet and students book develop by 7E phase too. The suggestion that can be inform was using 7E phase to develop work sheet and student?s book so that student?e activity more aimed and it make efficient of learning?s time. Perangkat pembelajaran IPA menggunakan learning cycle 7E dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebagai salah satu upaya memenuhi kebutuhan kehidupan abad 21. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat yang layak dan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Subjek penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran IPA menggunakan ilearning cycle 7E yang diujicobakan pada siswa kelas VII SMP Bilingual Terpadu Krian pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2015-2016. Perangkat dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan 4D dan dilakukan ujicoba penerapan perangkat dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah penilaian validitas oleh pakar, penilaian keterbacaan BAS oleh siswa, pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPPdan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran oleh pengamat, tes tulis untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, dan angket respon yang diisi oleh siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Simpulan hasil penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan learning cycle 7E dinyatakan layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari perangkat yang valid, BAS mudah dipahami, RPP terlaksana baik, kendala pembelajaran ditemukan solusi, kemampuan berpikir kritis meningkat, aktivitas siswa baik, dan respon siswa baik positif. Implikasi penelitian adalah penerapan RPP dengan tahap 7E tidak menurunkan keefektifan ditengah dan akhir pembelajaran jika LKS dan BAS yang mendukung dikembangkan dengan tahap 7E juga. Saran yang diberikan adalah mengembangkan perangkat dengan tahap 7E tidak hanya berlaku untuk RPP, LKS dan BAS juga dikembangkan dengan tahap 7E agar kegiatan siswa lebih terarah sehingga lebih efisien dalam waktu.

Abstract

PO2E2W learning model (problem orientation, observation, explanation, elaboration, and write in science) assisted by PhET media is a learning model that is oriented towards self regulated learning which in the process of physics learning activities is carried out with the help of PhET media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the practicality of the PO2E2W model assisted by PhET media in improving the physics problem solving skills of high school students. This research was carried out at Kemala Bhayangkari 1 High School (Surabaya, Indonesia) for students of class XI IPA 1, XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3. Criteria for practicality of learning devices in this study were based on (1) the implementation of the learning implementation plan (RPP) during one meeting in class XI IPA 1 and the implementation of the learning plan (RPP) for five meetings in class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3, (2) obstacles during learning activities. The number of observers in this study is two observers. The aspects observed consisted of introduction, core and closing activities. Based on the results of the practicality study of the PO2E2W model assisted by PhET media, the results obtained (1) the average assessment of two observers in class XI IPA 1 was 3.30 with good category with a percentage of agreement 96.75%, XI IPA 2 was 3.71 in very both with a percentage of agreement 95.84% and in class XI IPA 3 was 3.76 in very good category with a percentage of agreement 96.85% (2) obstacles during learning activities that can be overcome properly. Conclusion based on the results of the study of the freeness of the PO2E2W model assisted by PhET media is practically applied in learning to improve the physics problem solving skills of senior high school students.

Abstract

This research is research development at developing learning material based on blended learning cooperative model. The learning material is developed using Kemp model and one group pretest-posttest design. Try out for learning material is carried out at 2nd semester SMAN 16 Surabaya. The research subjects in grade XI IPA 2, XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4 and the topic is thermodynamics. Data gathering uses three methods; observation, test and questionnaire. Material validity analysis is applied to analyses data. The validity involve (a) the truth of conseptual in learning material: the reabilitas of learning plans at 85,71%, student?s worksheet at 75%, student?s teks book at 77,27%, web moodle with homepage  http://fisikaunesa.net/elearning/ at 86,34% and assesment sheet for product and process test at 100%, (b) legibility of: student?s worksheet at 99%,  student?s text book at 97,7% and web moodle at 100% in easily understood category, (c) difficulties: student?s worksheet at 1,0; student?s text book at 13,0; Web Moodle at 0,0; and assessment sheet in easily understood category. 2) the practicality involve: (a) realization of Learning Plans reached 100% in good category, (b) student?s activity reached 89% in good category, (c) WIFI?s trouble. 3) the effectivity involve: (a) enhancement  of student?s achievement with N-Gain calculation: Natural Science 2 class with score 0,88, Natural Science 3 with score 0,85, Natural Science 4 with score 0,87 in high category, (b) student?s response with meanin 3 in agree category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that learning material based on Blended Learning Cooperative Model to increase student?s achievement in physics at senior high school grade XI is feasible.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran blended learning model kooperatif. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model Kemp dengan model ujicoba one group pretest-posttes design. Uji coba perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan pada semester genap SMAN 16 Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI IPA 2, XI IPA 3 dan XI IPA 4 materi termodinamika. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga teknik yaitu observasi, tes dan angket sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis validitas perangkat. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dan diperoleh beberapa temuan yaitu: 1) validitas yang meliputi: (a) kebenaran konseptual perangkat pembelajaran: RPP dengan reabilitas 85,71%, LKS dengan reabilitas 75%, BAS dengan reabilitas 77,27%, web moodle dengan hompage  http://fisikaunesa.net/elearning/ dengan reabilitas 86,34%, dan LP untuk THB produk dan proses dengan reabilitas 100%, (b) keterbacaan: LKS 99%, BAS 97,7% dan  Web Moodle 100% dengan kategori mudah dipahami (c) Kesulitan: LKS 1,0; BAS 13,0; Web Moodle 0,0; dan LP berada pada kategori mudah dipahami. 2) Kepraktisan yang meliputi: (a) Keterlaksanaan RPP mencapai 100% berkategori baik, (b) Aktivitas siswa mencapai 89% berkategori baik, (c) kendala jaringan WIFI. 3) Efektifitas meliputi: (a) Peningkatan hasil belajar dengan perhitungan N- Gain: IPA 2 skor 0,88, IPA 3 skor 0,85, IPA 4 skor 0,87 dengan kriteria tinggi, (b) respon siswa dengan rata -rata 3 berada pada ketegori setuju. Berdasarkan hasil temuan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran blended learning model cooperative untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika SMA kelas XI layak digunakan.
