Abstract

Introduction: Triage is a selection system and patient selection to determine the level of severity and handle patient priority. There is an error in sorting triage so that should be handled on an out patient poly but it handled in emergency room so that there are patients who need immediate care treatment cannot handled well. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge about labeling triage and action based on labeling Emergency Room. Methods: This study used descriptive correlation design with cross sectional method. The population was nurse in emergency room at Petrokimia Hospital Gresik. Total sampling was used in this study. The sample in this study were 12 respondents. The independent variable was knowledge about labeling triageand the dependent variable was action based on labeling emergency room. The instrument of this study used questionnaire and observation paper then analyzed using Spearman Rho statistical test with level of significant of p<0.05. Result: The results of this study showed that there was very strong relationship between knowledge about labeling triage and action based on labeling emergency room (p=0.002; r=0.802).Conclusions: From the result of this study were expected the description for nurses that so the influence of knowledge and attitude in handling emergency patients. Nurses were motivated to do better action by increasing knowledge of discussions and continuing formal education.

Abstract

Introduction: Sampang is one of the districts in East Java that has many problems faced, especially in the health sector. With a population of 947,614 inhabitants, Sampang facing the issue of professionalism of health workers, nurses 'career paths, high prevalence of Tuberculosis, and high incidence ofdisasters (floods) in Sampang Regency that require nurses' readiness and ability in an emergency situation. Nurses as the frontline of health services are required to be able to demonstrate their professionalism through the effectiveness and success of the actions taken. This activity aimed to increase professionalism and encourage nurses to improve their competence through continuing education and training.Method: Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga in collaboration with the Sampang Health Departement held conference and workshop on the topics: (1) nurse professionalism: assessment of legal aspects and nursing ethics; (2) nurse career paths; (3) comprehensive treatment of tuberculosis includes bio-psycho-socio-spiritual; (4) wound care; and (5) update on basic life support based on the 2015 AHA Guidelines. The target was 152 nurses at the primary health care in the working area of the Sampang District Health Office who are selected and identified according to the competencies. The activities were carried out during the period of July-August 2018.Result: A series of education and training programs produced output in the form of increasing knowledge and attitudes about nurse professionalism and career paths, increasing knowledge and attitudes about handling Tuberculosis patients, and increasing nurses' competence in wound care and BLS (Basic Life Support).Discussion: In the future, sustainable education and training activities are needed for nurses and other health workers in accordance with the latest developments in science and health technology to create professional nurses/health workers who encourage the achievement of the Healthy Indonesia program.

Abstract

Introduction: Five-finger hypnosis is a relaxation technique that can provide a relaxing and calming effect by recalling pleasant experiences that have been experienced so that they can have a positive effect on the vital-sign of respondents with fractures. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the influence of five-finger hypnosis auditory on vital signs: blood pressure, pulse frequency, respiratory frequency, and pain in clients with limb fractures. Method: This research uses quasi-experiment with post test only non-equivalent control group design. The total population is 57 patients and 54 respondents were obtained with consecutive sampling. The independent variable is a five-finger hypnosis auditory intervention and the dependent variable is systolic blood pressure, diastolic, frequency of frequency, respiratory frequency, and pain. Data were obtained from the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and observation sheets. Then the data were analyzed by the Mann-Whitney U Test. Result: There were differences between the treatment and control groups on systolic (p=0.002), diastolic (p=0.003), pulse frequency (p=0.003), respiratory frequency (p=0.000) and pain (p=0.001). Discussion: So the hypnosis auditory as a relaxation technique can have a positive influence on the respondent's vital sign which includes systolic blood pressure, diastolic, pulse frequency, respiratory frequency, and pain. It is expected that nurses can apply this therapy as a non-pharmacological therapy to patients with extremity fractures and other researchers can apply to patients with all types of fractures as well as the development of cultural cultures.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Terapi mendengarkan Al-Qur’an dan Teknik Relaksasi Otot Progresif merupakan metode non-farmakologi yang dapat menurunkan tekanan darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi mendengarkan bacaan Al-Qur’an (Ayatussyifa) dan relaksasi otot progresif terhadap tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan quasy-experiment dengan pretest – posttest control group design dengan total sampel sebanyak 50 responden penderita hipertensi dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan tipe purposive sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini yaitu terapi mendengarkan bacaan Al-Qur’an (Ayatussyifa) dan relaksasi otot progresif sedangkan variabel dependennya yaitu tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik lansia dengan hipertensi dengan menggunakan lembar observasi sebagai instrument penelitiannya. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dan Mann-Whitney U Test (p=<0,05). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pada kelompok perlakuan (sistolik p=0,000), (diastolik p=0,000). Hasil uji Mann Whitney kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol menunjukkan hasil Pre-Sistolik (p=0,739) dan Post-Sistolik (p=0,006) sedangkan Pre-Diastolik (p=0,001) dan Post-Diastolik (p=0,410). Diskusi: Terapi mendengarkan Al-Qur’an (Ayatussyifa)  dan relaksasi otot progresif dapat menjadi stimulus baik yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap tekanan darah baik sistolik maupun diastolik pasien hipertensi. Perawat dapat memberikan terapi tersebut sebagai salah satu pilihan dalam menurunkan tekanan darah para lansia penderita hipertensi.

Abstract

Background: Patients with cardiac stent have been risk of restenosis. Several studies suggest that diabetes mellitus is the factor that most consistently increases the risk of restenosis. This requires further research with the literature review to analyze the continuity of the journals found.Methods: A literature review searched based on PRISMA, by the process of identification, screening, eligibility, and included. Journals are identified based on their focus and  results. Then screening by analyzing the design, samples, variables, instruments, methods and results. Then assessed for their eligibility using The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal.Results: The total number of journals that reviewed in this study is 15 journals. Six journals stated DM as a restenosis factor, two journals stated BMI as the main factor, four journals mentioned other factors and two journals denied DM was a predictor of restenosis.Conclusion: The results of 15 journals that reviewed, diabetes mellitus was a factor that appeared consistently and had a role in the incidence of restenosis from lifestyle factors or disease history.

Abstract

Introduction : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia caused by abnormalities in insulin secretion, thus impacting on blood glucose levels. Calabura muntingia leaves are traditionally used as an alternative medicine because they contain flavonoid compounds which have anti-diabetic properties. In general, it is known that how to make traditional medicine is by boiling it, where the solvent only uses water so that the polar compounds will be attracted. The purpose of this study is to explain effectiveness the effect of administration between calabura muntingia leaves and calabura muntingia fruit through a review of studies related to blood sugar levelsin the last ten years.Method : Search for journals or articles using Scopus, Proquest, and Scholar indexed databases using appropriate keywords. The Center for Review and Dissemination and The Joanna Briggs Institute was used to assess the quality of the study. The framework used for the review is PICOS and the inclusion criteria used are English and Indonesian journals published in 2010 to 2020. Data analysis and tabulation are carried out in articles or journals. Title, abstract, full text and methodology are assessed to determine the eligibility of the article or journal.Results : Six hundred and forty-one articles were identified, there were eleven articles that fit the research criteria. The leaves of muntingia calabura and fruit of muntingia calabura contain flavonoids and saponins which can reduce blood sugar levels. A flavonoid compound that is thought to have activity in reducing blood glucose levels is quercetin.Conclusion : The form of extract, infusion, juice and stew did not change the content of the calabura muntingia plant.

Abstract

Introduction: Knowledge and self-efficacy are some of the factors in providing pre-hospital stroke life support so that it is expected to reduce mortality and morbidity due to stroke in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pre-hospital stroke life support education on the knowledge and self-efficacy of families with stroke risk patients.Methods:The study design used a pre-experiment (one-group pre-posttest design). The sample comes from families who have stroke risk patients in the working area of Puskesmas Pacar Keling Surabaya. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with inclusion criteria of having family members at risk of stroke (diagnosis of hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, heart disease, smoking, alcoholics, obesity, and the elderly), so a sample of 32 people was obtained. The independent variable is health education pre-hospital stroke life support, while the dependent variable is knowledge and self-efficacy. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The research was conducted online via WhatsApp and google form, then analyzed by using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test using SPSS with significance α ≤ 0.05.Results:The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effect of pre-hospital education stroke life support on family knowledge (p = 0.002) and self-efficacy (p = 0.000).Conclusion:There is an effect of pre-hospital stroke life support education on knowledge and self-efficacy of families with stroke risk patients in the working area of Puskesmas Pacar Keling Surabaya.

Introduction : Physical exercise have been considered as on of ‘standart intervention’ in management of type 2 diabetes. Types of exercise that related with patients such as aerobic exercise, also resistance training. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of giving Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) to cancer patients. The method used is a systematic review using three databases: PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The results showed that of the fourteen articles reviewed, thirteen articles showed that the use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) could reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, increase self-confidence in physical, social, and body image functions, provide satisfaction with life, and reduce anxiety. , positive quality of life enhances hereditary resistance, improves well-being, and overcoming the disease. One article states that CAM users report more severe anxiety and skin or hair changes.In conclusion, some types of CAM have beneficial effects for some clients. Still, on the other hand, there are adverse effects without the client realizing that this therapy can be a source of chemicals that can interact with conventional drugs. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the disinfection of 0.5% chlorine and 2.5% didecyldimethylammonium chloride against Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae in the operating room. The method used is a quasi-experimental post-only group design with a total sample of 40 samples of the operating room environment. The results showed no difference between the two types of disinfectants, namely didecyldimethylammonium chloride 2.5% and chlorine 0.5% in reducing the number of bacteria (p-value 0.373) and both were able to reduce the number of Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. In conclusion, both disinfectants effectively reduced Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae on operating room surfaces.
