Abstract

The purpose of this research is to learn and understand the effect of job promotion on job satisfaction in PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. The object of this research is employee in Human Resource Division of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang with 45 employees as sample. The sampling method used in this research is sensus method. The method used for collecting data is by questionnaire. The data collected are tested by validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, correletion coefficient (r) and determination coenfficient (R2) and t test by using SPSS version 22. The result of this research shows that job promotion has positive and significant effect to job satisfaction in PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Keywords : Job Promotion, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang is one of firms own by local state entrusted to manage water supply in the surrounding area. This firm used work culture environment to do their activities, heightening their sense of productivity aligns with firm’s goal: to ensure society’s development regarding social aspect, economy, health, and civil service. This research is entitled to understand effects of those work culture environment with worker’s productivity in PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang Unit Rambutan. In this research, researcher used library research, questioner, and observation as instrument to collect data. After all those primary data collected, then researcher calculated data using Statistical program SPSS Version 16.0. Testing used in this research is data validation testing; reliability validation; and normality validation. This research yielding results that work culture environment have significant effect in worker’s productivity. On the other hand, productivity not only effected by work culture, but also by motivations; compensations; leadership; and other factors. In this opportunity, researcher would also suggest to firm and related to do further research to understand other factors that can also effect worker’s productivity.Keywords: Work Culture and Worker’s Productivity

Abstract

This research purpose is to examine the effect of compensation and motivation on employee performance in PT Arwana Augerah Keramik Tbk. The object of this research is an employee in PT Arwana Anugerah Keramik Tbk. with 80 employees as a sample. Method for collecting data is using questionnaire. The collected data are tested by validity test, reliability test, analysis coefficient of determination test (R2), T Test (Partial), F test (Simultaneous) and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The result of this research indicate that compensation has a significant positive effect on employee performance with 2,603 > t table 1,668 where motivation aslo has a significant positive effect on employee performance with 1,840 > t table 1,668. Simultaneously, independent variable effect on employee performance with 0.761 or 76,1% influence on employee performance. Keywords : compensation, motivation, employee performance.

Abstract

Micro and small enterprises have a great contribution to the country’s economy. However the lack of managers’ skills and abilities cause obstacles that affect the level of job satisfaction. In order to maximize the job satisfaction, MSEs’ managers need training and development and motivation. Training & development aims to increase managers’ skills and abilities. Motivation will give positive impact and increase satisfaction if a manager is able to expand his/her business. This study aims to know whether there is effect between Training & development and motivation on job satisfaction. This study is conducted on MSEs’ managers in Plaju Ulu Village. The number of samples is 78 managers as respondents, and the sampling technique is stratified random sampling. The analysis method used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The test result shows that Training & development and motivation have a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction. But Training & development do not has a partial effect on job satisfaction, while motivation has a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction. Coefficient determination shows that 24,6% variance of job satisfaction can be explained by independent variables in this study, while the rest 74,6% can be explained by others variable such as as innovation, committment, leadership, and personality that are not discussed in this study.Keywords : Development, Job Satisfaction, Micro and Small Enterprises Motivation, Training
