Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Hypertension crisis is a case of disease that often occurs, if not handled properly will cause comlication and death. This study was conducted to determine effective therapies in dealing with hypertensive crises so as to minimize the occurrence of complication and death in patients experiencing hypertensive crises Method: The research method is a prospective cohort. Data analysis using Pair T-Test and ANOVA, analytic analysis with evidence based medecine principles. Consists of 11 urgent hypertension samples and 9 emergency hypertension samples. Results: The results of the study for the case of hypertension urgency there are 6 therapeutic groups including furosemide, nicardipine, amlodipine, candesartan + amlodipine, clonidine and furosemide + nicardipine, but the therapy used is not in accordance with the guidelines but there are 2 groups of therapies that can reduce blood pressure including furosemide + nicardipine and clonidine, while for the case of emergence hypertension, there are 5 groups of therapies including nicardipine, amlodipine + nicardipine, furosemide, furosemide + candesartan + amlodipine and furosemide + candesartan + amlodipine + clonidine, the result is that nicardipine is a therapy that is in accordance with the guideline and the therapy is in accordance with the guideline and is in accordance with the guideline therapeutic target in lowering blood pressure. Conclusion: The use therapy is not in accordance with the guidelines for patients with hypertensive urgency cases, but is able to lower the patient’s blood pressure, whereas for patients with hypertensive emergencies the effective therapy is nicardipine. Abstract

Background: Kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris (Burn. F) Bedd.) Is a plant originating from Kalimantan that grows on peat soil. Objective: to determine the antioxidant activity of the leaves of kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris (Burm. F) Bedd.) made by infusion. Method: This type of research is true experimental and research method with post test only control group design. Kelakai made an infusion and then tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. Results: The kelakai infusion positive contains flavonoids. Kelakai infusion has a very strong antioxidant activity at a concentration of 20 ppm with an absorbance value of 0.072 and an antioxidant activity of 86.90%. Kelakai infusion has an IC50 value of 6.4035 ppm. Conclusion: kelakai infusion positive contains flavonoid compounds and has a very strong antioxidant ability with an IC50 value of 6.4035 ppm. Abstract

The search for the presence of flavonoid and phenolic compounds from plants is still being carried out. This is done because flavonoid and phenolic compounds have high potential as antioxidants. Pitanak fruit is a native fruit of Kalimantan and currently there is no research report on the content of flavonoid and phenolic compounds. This study aims to determine the total flavonoid content and total phenolic content of the pitanak fruit peel extract. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive observational design. The assay used the uv-vis spectrophotometer method. The secondary metabolite compounds contained in the pitanak fruit peel extract are alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, steroids, and phenolics. Total flavonoid content is 33,183 ppm and total phenolic content is 126,88 ppm. The conclusion of this research is that the pitanak fruit peel extract has total flavonoid and phenolic levels which can be optimized as a source of medicinal raw materials.
