Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the understanding ability of the concept of motion energy through the application of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) model in third-grade students of SD NegeriKarangasem IV No.204 Laweyan District, Surakarta City in academic year 2016/2017. This type of research was classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle was carried out in four stages, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were third-grade students of SD NegeriKarangasem IV Laweyan Surakarta in the 2016/2017 academic year, totaling 31 students. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Test validity used technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used an interactive analysis model from Miles &Huberman. The conclusion of this research show that the application of Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) models can improve the understanding ability of motion energy concepts in third-grade students of SD NegeriKarangasem IV No.204 Laweyan District, Surakarta City in academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This research aims to explain The Indonesian language learning material and character education-based language skills in the grade IV elementary school student book on the 2013 Curriculum theme "Peduli terhadap Makhluk Hidup". This type of research was qualitatively descriptive with the method of content analysis. The data in this research were 10 character values according to Permendikbud No. 20 of 2018, namely: tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, friendly/communicative, environmental care, social care, and responsibility. This research focused only on learning material Bahasa Indonesia in grade 4 elementary school students' book with the theme 3 revised edition 2017. The results of this research were known that there are 10 character values in Indonesian material in the student's book and contain all four language skills. The frequency with which character education values and language skills are presented is not evenly presented. The value of character education was dominated by the values of tolerance, creative, democratic, and friendly/communicative, while language skills are emphasized more on speaking and writing skills.Keywords: character education, Indonesian learning material, language skills, student’s book, elementary school.

Abstract

This research was conducted for describing the value of the character in the legend story in the fourth grade students book theme 8 "Daerah Tempat Tinggalku" curriculum 2013. The research design in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The method that used is content analysis. The data used are words, sentences and paragraphs in the legend story. Sources of data in this research were books for fourth grade Elementary students at theme 8 "Daerah Tempat Tinggalku". The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used documentation techniques. Test the validity of the data in this research used semantic validity and reliability validity. The data analysis technique used the Hermeneutic approach. The results showed that (1) honest character values were found 2 citation character values. (2) the value of the character of responsibility found 2 quotes of character values. (3) there are 2 quotations for intelligent character values. (4) clean and healthy character values are not found in the 5 legend stories. (5) the caring character value is found 12 character value quotes. (6) the value of creative character was found 2 quotes of character values. (7) the value of mutual cooperation character found 1 quote character value. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a research with a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was conducted through several stages, namely reduction, classification, presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study aims to describe the character values of non-fiction stories contained in the fourth grade student book with the theme "The Beauty of Diversity in My Country" in the 2013 curriculum. These character values consist of religious values, nationalism values, independent values, mutual cooperation values, and integrity values. The research data source is the fourth grade student book theme 7 "The Beauty of Diversity in My Country" curriculum 2013. The results show the values of religious character, nationalism values, independent values, mutual cooperation, and integrity values can be instilled in students through non-fiction literary works.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance reading comprehension skills through implementation of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model. The subjects of the study are 26 students of the 4th grade in Pajang II elementary school, Laweyan, Surakarta. This research is Classroom Action Research consist of two cycles. Data collection is done by interviewing, observing, reading comprehension skills test, and document analysis. The data’s validity is done by using content validity, source triangulation, and technical triangulation. The data is analyzed using an interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman and comparative descriptive model. The result of reading comprehension skills in pretest showed an average of 46,08. Then, in the first cycle, the average increase to 64,98 and become 83,5 on the second cycle. Thus, the conclusion that can be drawn regarding reading comprehension skills in 4th grade students of Pajang II elementary school academic year of 2019/2020 can be enhanced by applying Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model.l

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the learning motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in describing advertising exposure information. This study used qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were seven fifth grade students at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis used is an interactive analysis model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that students with low learning motivation had a percentage of 28.57%. Students with sufficient learning motivation have a percentage of 28.57%. Students with high learning motivation have a percentage of 28.57%. While students with very high learning motivation have a percentage of 14.29%. There are seven indicators of learning motivation to determine the level of student learning motivation, including: being diligent in facing assignments and completing them, facing difficulties tenaciously and never giving up, showing interest in dealing with problems, independent learning, getting bored quickly. on assignment. - Routinely do assignments, defend and convince opinions with good and strong reasons, and like to find problems and solve problems.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of the impact of online learning on reading comprehension skills. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Parakan. Research data collection is done through data collection techniques of observation, interviews and document studies. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Parakan in analyzing reading comprehension skills in fiction stories were still less successful in obtaining reading information, explaining the intrinsic elements of reading, drawing conclusions from the reading, and determining statements that were in accordance with the contents of the reading. from reading. Constraints in reading comprehension skills are the students' lack of interest in reading, lack of reading facilities and the role of parents. The solution to these problems is to foster students' interest in reading, improve reading facilities both at school and at home, and get used to reading from an early age by parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the analysis of factors that hinder learning to read beginning and describe solutions for the process of learning to read beginning in class II students. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subject of this research is the second grade teacher of SDIT IslamyCawas. Research data were collected through interview data collection techniques and document studies. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the factors that hindered early reading learning were as follows: (1) The teacher did not prepare for learning in the classroom. (2) Student factors, difficulty concentrating during learning due to fatigue, being disturbed by friends, and hyperactivity. (3) Factors in the learning process, use of inappropriate learning methods, less varied learning resources, lack of learning media, and lack of interaction between teachers and students. (4) Factors of facilities and infrastructure, lack of reading resources, absence of libraries, teaching aids and available learning media are not adequate. (5) Environmental factors, a family environment that is not conducive for students and the lack of tutoring by parents due to economic demands. Solutions used by teachers: (1) Mentoring and special assignments for hyperactive students. (2) A special class for learning to read for students who have difficulty reading. (3) Looking for reading sources and learning media from the internet.
