Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu daerah sentra peternakan sapi potong, yaitu Kecamatan Pauh, Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendekatan penyuluhan dalam diseminasi inovasi Inseminasi Buatan (IB) pada peternak sapi potong dan metode penyuluhan dalam diseminasi inovasi Inseminasi Buatan (IB) pada peternak sapi potong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode survei melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen data. Populasi adalah peternak sapi potong yang sudah mengadopsi inovasi Inseminasi Buatan (IB), Sampel ditetapkan sebanyak 30 peternak dengan teknik Quota Sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif yang dihitung dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian adalah penyuluh sudah menerapkan pendekatan persuasif, pendekatan pervasion dan pendekatan compulsion dengan baik, sedangkan pendekatan coersion tidak diterapkan dalam diseminasi inovasi IB. Metode kunjungan rumah / usaha tani dan metode demonstrasi sudah diterapkan dengan baik, sedangkan metode kampanye tidak diterapkan oleh penyuluh dalam diseminasi inovasi IB pada peternak sapi potong di Kota Padang.  (The application of extension approaches and methods in disseminating artificial insemination (AI) innovation to beef cattle farmers at Pauh sub-district in Padang) ABSTRACT. A survey was carried out at Pauh sub-district, Padang to understand extension approach and method in disseminating artificial insemination (AI) innovation to beef cattle farmers. A survey method approach was used through observation, interviews and data document. Primary data were collected from 30 farmers using quota sampling technique. Data analysis was performed descriptively quantitative which was calculated using a Likert scale. The results showed that the extension workers have applied a convincing approach in both persuasive and compulsion types. However they did not use coercion in conveying AI innovation. Farm visit as well as demonstration have been implemented well by extension workers, while the campaign method is not applied in disseminating IB innovations to beef cattle breeders in the city of Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine: a) the acceleration of innovation adoption cocoa waste as animal feed of Ettawa Cross Breed in the district of Tanjung Baru Tanah Datar, b) problems encountered in the implementation of the waste cocoa breeders as animal feed of Ettawa Cross Breed in the district of Tanjung Baru Tanah Datar. This research used survey, where respondents in the sample in this research is the goat breeders in the district of Tanjung Baru as many as 30 people. The data collected are primary data with the aid of questionnaires and secondary data with study of literature and related agencies. The results of this research indicate that the size of the adoption of the innovation seen on the velocity or the time interval between the receipt of the information and the application is done in the district of Tanjung Baru classified as fast (less than 1 week) 66.67%, broad application of innovation or the proportion of the number of animals that have been given the new innovations in the district of Tanjung Baru is applied by 76.67%, and intensification quality by comparing with recommended application submitted by extension in the district of Tanjung Baru is good at 73.33%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan pada usaha peternakan sapi potong di kelompok Taruko Saiyo, Kelurahan Cupak Tangah, Kecamatan Pauh Kota Padang. Permasalahan dikelompok sasaran adalah adopsi inovasi oleh peternakan rendah karena kurang mendapat penyuluhan dan motivasi usaha anggota kelompok menurun. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah 1) Introduksi inovasi peternakan dan 2) Meningkatkan motivasi angota kelompok Taruko Saiyo dalam menjalankan usaha peternakan sapi Potong. Transfer pengetahuan pada kelompok sasaran di lakukan dengan menggunakan metode penyuluhan melalui pendekatan ceramah dan sosialisasi. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah terjadi perubahan perilaku sasaran terutama pada aspek koqnitif, yaitu perubahan pengetahuan anggota kelompok Taruko Saiyo dari tidak mengetahui jenis jenis inovasi peternakan menjadi tahu, baik itu inovasi pada aspek pakan, aspek reproduksi maupun inovasi dalam bentuk program dan kebijakan pemerintah. Terjadi peningkatan motivasi anggota kelompok sasaran yang tergambar dari bergabungnya kembali anggota kelompok yang sebelumnya sudah tidak aktif dari keanggotaan dan terpilihnya kepengurusan baru di kelompok Taruko Saiyo. Kata Kunci: Introduksi Inovasi, Inovasi Peternakan, Motivasi Usaha, Perbaikan Usaha, Usaha Peternakan ABSTRACT This community service activity is carried out in the beef cattle business in the Taruko Saiyo group, Cupak Tangah Village, Pauh District, Padang City. The problem in the target group is the low adoption of innovation by farms due to lack of counseling and decreased business motivation of group members. The objectives of this activity are 1) Introducing livestock innovations and 2) Increasing the motivation of the Taruko Saiyo group members in running a beef cattle business. Transfer of knowledge to target groups is carried out using extension methods through lecture and socialization approaches. The result of the activity is that there is a change in target behavior, especially in the competitive aspect, namely a change in the knowledge of the Taruko Saiyo group members from not knowing the types of livestock innovations to knowing, both innovations in the aspects of feed, aspects of reproduction and innovation in the form of government programs and policies. There was an increase in the motivation of target group members as reflected in the rejoining of group members who had previously been inactive from membership and the election of new management in the Taruko Saiyo group. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan pada mitra Kawa Amor yang menjalankan usaha kawa daun di Limau Manis, Kecamatan Pauh, Kota Padang. Permasalahan mitra diantaranya adalah 1) mitra belum dilengkapi identitas atau jati diri sebagai suatu kelompok usaha, 2) Pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan mitra sebagian besar masih dilakukan secara konvensional dari individu ke individu.. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah mentransformasi mitra menjadi kelompok usaha yang iconik dengan memiliki identitas usaha tersendiri dan mengintroduksi inovasi pemasaran yang berbasis Digital Marketing yang dapat menjangkau pangsa pasar yang lebih luas. Transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi pada kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan secara berkala. Hasil kegiatan adalah terjadinya perubahan pada manajemen usaha, yaitu mitra telah memiliki plank merek dan logo usaha yang merupakan bagian dari identitas usaha, serta mitra juga telah mengadopsi sitem pemasaran secara digital, seperti memiliki map lokasi usaha dan media sosial Instagram (IG) untuk wadah promosi dan pemasaran Kata kunci : digital marketing, identitas usaha, dan manajemen usaha ABSTRACT This community service activity is carried out on Kawa Amor partners who run a kawa daun business in Limau Manis, Pauh District, Padang City. Partner problems include 1) partners have not been equipped with identity or identity as a business group, 2) Marketing of products produced by partners is still mostly done conventionally from individual to individual. The purpose of this activity is to transform partners into iconic business groups with their own business identities and to introduce digital marketing-based marketing innovations that can reach a wider market share. The transfer of knowledge and technology in this service activity is carried out by means of training and mentoring methods on a regular basis. The result of the activity is a change in business management, namely partners have a brand plank and business logo which are part of their business identity, and partners have also adopted a digital marketing system, such as having a business location map and Instagram (IG) social media for promotion and marketing. Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to: 1) increase knowledge and skills of breeders on reproduction performance, and 2) to increase knowledge and skills of farmers in making Urea Molases Block (UMB) feed, and 3) to grow entrepreneurship spirit in the field of animal husbandry cow. The goal of community service activities is the members of the Makmur cattle breeder group and other breeders who are not members of the group and Agricultural Extension workers who have a working area in the location of devotional activities. The method applied in this devotional activity is the method of counselling with several approaches, namely lecture / socialisation method, home visit and farming and demonstration methods. The lecture / socialisation approach is used at the time of delivery of materials related to entrepreneurial spirit, and the home visit approach is done to deliver materials related to reproductive performance, while the demonstration extension approach is applied to the introduction of Urea Molases Block (UMB) feed innovation. The result of the community service activity shows that the participation of the target of the activity of high service to the activity done by the team of dedication because besides the group members who attended also present other breeders, extension workers and even farm students who are doing Farm Experience, as well as on the discussion session many questions appear related to the material presented by the resource person and even on some aspects of the discussion are quite deep. The description of the participation of the activity is in line with the behaviour change that occurs on the target of the activity, especially the change in the cognitive aspect and the change in the psycomotoric aspect, where in the aspect cognitive the breeder knows the economic potential of the cattle breeding business and knows and skilfully arranges the reproduction of livestock especially after the mother gives birth to the child, skilled way of making UMB and how to give UMB to cattle raised.

Abstract

Community service in Nagari Siguntur, Sitiung District, Dharmasraya Regency aims to: 1) Increase the knowledge and skills of farmers about how to use agricultural waste such as fermented banana weeds as cattle feed and 2) Introduction of innovation technology in Urea Molases Block (UMB) feed as cattle feed. The method applied in this service activity is an extension method with a demonstration method approach, coaching and evaluation methods. The extension method demonstration approach was applied to banana weevil fermentation activities and during the introduction of innovation Urea Molases Block (UMB), while evaluation was carried out every one activity was completed and coaching would carried out continuously both directly and in remote discussions. The result of the service is knowledge and skills of breeders increase on the aspect of feed, especially alternative feeds such as Banana Bifold Fermentation (BBF) and feed Urea Molasses Block (UMB). Other results from this activity can also be seen from the high response of cattle farmers in Nagari Siguntur to each stage of the activities carried out, with evidence of the number of farmers who attended and who asked quite a lot at the time of the activity and besides each activity was attended by Nagari officials and officers Dharmasraya District extension agent. Service activities for farmers can change the behavior of cattle farmers, both in the aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills that local extension officers should be able to carry out extension activities consistently and accompanied by academics as resource persons.

Abstract

Dadih sebagai bahan pangan yang bergizi tinggi dan disenangi masyarakat Sumbar sangat layak untuk dilestarikan dan dikembangkan teknologi pembuatan serta pemasarannya. Namun segmen pasar dadiah terbatas yakni pada golongan orang tua saja, padahal manfaat dadih yang sangat baik untuk kesehatan dan pertumbuhan ini seharusnya dinikmati untuk semua masyarakat mulai dari anakanak sampai orang tua.Salah satu olahan dadih yang banyak digemari masyarakat Sumbar saat ini adalah Ampiang dadih yaitu campuran anatara dadih, beras ketan dan gula jawa. Di Pasar atas`dan Pasar Aur Bukittinggi terdapat pedagang yang menjual olahan makanan berbahan baku dadiah yaitu ampiang dadiah, kelompok usaha ini telah lama menjual produk ini, namun sampai saat ini penjualan ampiang dadiah sudah mulai menurun disebabkan karena kebosanan dan rasa dan aroma dadiah masih kental terasa sehingga untuk kalangan usia muda kurang menyukai produk ini, akibatnya usaha penjualan ampiang dadih tidak begitu berkembang. Program IPTEKS bagi masyarakat (IbM) ini bertujuan: 1) Memberikan alih pengetahuan mitra dalam berwirausaha dan memperbesar keuntungan usaha dengan menambah menu baru berbasis dadih, 2) Meningkatkan nilai tambah makanan dan pendapatan produsen/penjual melalui diversifikasi produk, 3) Menata strategi pemasaran untuk memperluas jaringan pemasaran, 4) memberikan alih pengetahuan mitra dalam pembuatan business plan Sasaran kegiatan program IPTEKS (IbM) bagi masyarakat ini adalah 5 orang produsen dan penjual makanan yang tergabung dalam kelompok usaha makanan dan minuman “Bofet Minah” yang berlokasi di Pasar Atas dan usaha “Rika” di Pasar Aur kuning Kota Bukitinggi Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pelatihan dalam pembuatan makanan dan minuman berbahan baku dadiah, penyusunan rencana bisnis serta pelatihan dan pendampingan strategi marketing dan promosi. Penyuluhan dengan materi Entrepreneurship Motivation, manajemen usaha dan manajemen keuangan.

Abstract

The service activities carried out aim to 1) Strengthen the group institutionally and 2) Increase breeders' knowledge about cattle reproduction. Institutional strengthening of the group is very important for the progress of the group because groups that have legality, dynamic and solid will easily access support from the government, while the technical aspects of breeder's reproduction must have knowledge and skills in order to increase production from the farm business itself. The beneficiaries of this community service activity was cattle farmers in the Parna Saiyo Group in Pauh District, Padang City. The method of activity applied was outreach and field meetings. The counseling was carried out to strengthen the group institutionally and the field meeting method was used to provide material on cattle reproduction. The results of the activity showed that members understood the importance of an institutionally strong group to get support from the government and the private sector, and an increase in group member knowledge on aspects of cattle reproduction.

Abstract

This article describes the results of the training, coaching and mentoring on producer Dadih groups in the District of Tilatang Kamang. This activity aims to: 1) increase the motivation of entrepreneurial partners; 2) increase the insight and knowledge of maintenance management buffaloes; 3) improve the ability of the partners to diversify into multiple product Dadih and 4) developing the marketing area. The results of this activity were: 1) increase the entrepreneurial spirit partner as efforts to support the development of the group; 2) Activity buffaloes maintenance management counseling can improve insight and knowledge in raising livestock breeder buffalo; 3) Training and the pilot was able to increase revenue diversification dadih and 4) The promotion and development of network marketing has been used as a marketing strategy to increase the production volume of business groups.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (CPP) to help businesses grow and develop is carried out in the Panas Minder group (Palai Bada Khas Minangkabau Moderized) which is located in Pauh District, Padang City. The product of Panas Minder's business is typical Minangkabau Palai Bada food, the product is still being processed and marketed traditionally so that the product does not last long and only has a local market share. The objectives of the activities are to improve the processing of Palai Bada products by implementing innovation in the combustion processes, and improve the marketing strategy of Palai Bada products by adopting digital marketing. The mentoring methods used to assist partners are field meetings and business meeting. The results of the coaching activities are partners have adopted combustion innovationsusing modern Furcase and Panas Minder partners have been trained and guided to take advantage of digital marketing by creating websites and official Instagram lines.
