Abstract

The quality of the students’ understanding and appreciation in Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah course is still low. Therefore, it is urgently needed to conduct a study focused on: a) how the design of teaching and learning Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah using blended learning; b) How the implementation of teaching and learning Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah using blended learning model; c) What the students’ perceptions who learn Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah using blended learning model is; d) how the students’ achievement in Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah course using blended learning model is? The research method used in this study was Design Based Research (DBR). Ten students who taken Balāgah wa Uslūbiyyah course were purposively chosen as the samples in this study. The expected results of this study were: 1) the compilation of Balāgah teaching and learning design using blended learning model; 2) the procedures of teaching and learning Balāgah using blended learning model; 3) the description of the implementation of teaching and learning Balāgah using blended learning model; 4) the students learning outcomes in Balāgah course using blended learning model; and 4) journal articles in international journals.

Abstract

In Desa Pademonegoro, Kecamatan Sukodono, Sidoarjo the quality of water reservoir consumpted by many people is found to be in a low level and contains unnecessary substances like Mn and Fe. This condition makes water not feasible to consumpt for daily use. This study aimed to manage and purify water by utilizing ark shells freely available in beaches. Ark shells were initially synthesized by coprecipitation techniques using carbon dioxide gas at a pressure of 225 N/cm2, 300N/cm2,or 375 N/cm2 and settling time for 24 hoursor 36 hours. The ark shells were then characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to determine its CaCO3 content. The ark shells with a high level of CaCO3 were used as a water purifier on the device spesificially designed on purpose and were tested with shell powder thickness with a thickness of 1 cm, 3 cm, or 5 cm and a water reservoir was placed at a position of 1 m or 2 m measured from the ground. The results indicated that the synthesis of ark shell using carbon dioxide at a pressure of 375 N/cm2and settling time for 36 hourshada high level of CaCO3 and thus was used as a water purifier. After purifying, the quality of water is such that it is odorless and tasteless, its color<2 TCU, turbidity of 0.2 NTU, TDS of 200 mg/l, contains Fe 0.08 mg/l, Mn0.03 mg/l, Hg 0.0001mg/l,As<0.005mg/l, pH 7.3, detergent <0.01 mg/l, water hardness of 88.32 mg/land saturation ark shells for 27 weeks.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Pada Materi Benda dan Sifat- Sifatnya dengan Menggunakan Metode Eksperimen Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 18 Matan Hilir Selatan Kabupaten Ketapang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode eksperimen untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA tentang sifat-sifat benda di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 18 Matan Hilir Selatan Kabupaten Ketapang. Pendekatan yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subyek penelitian guru dan siswa SDN 18 Matan Hilir Selatan. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Terdapat peningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran IPA menggunakan metode eksperimen yaitu sebesar 26,93%. (2) Penggunaan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran (IPKG 2) yaitu terjadi peningkatan sebesar 25,54%. (3) Penggunaan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, yaitu siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 64. Meningkat di siklus II yaitu nilai rata-rata siswa 75,33. Kata Kunci : kualitas belajar, pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam, dan metode eksperimen Abstrac: Increasing Quality of Natural Sciences Learning Objects and Properties of Materials Using Its Methods Experiments Fourth Grade Students Elementary School 18 Matan Hilir Selatan Ketapang. This study aimed to describe the use of experimental methods to improve student learning outcomes in science learning about the properties of objects in the class IV Elementary School South Matan Hilir Selatan. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative research a form of classroom action research. The research subjects teachers and students of SDN 18 Matan South Downstream. The results of the study are: (1) There is increasing the ability of teachers to implement science learning using an experimental method that is equal to 26.93%. (2) The use of experimental methods to enhance the ability of teachers to implement learning which is an increase of 25.54%. (3) The use of experimental methods to improve student learning outcomes, the first cycle the average student 64. Increased in the second cycle the average value of 75.33 students. Abstract

Natural resources may become a blessing that can contribute to societies’ welfare increases. Yet natural resource abundance could also become a curse for countries’ economic development. Numerous studies have investigated the relationship between natural resources and economic performance. However, the results remain ambiguous and have no consensus in the literature. In specific, most literature focused only on testing the curse’s existence, while studies that involve the role of financial development in mediating the nexus remain scarce. To the best of our knowledge, this is a pioneer study in a developing country endowed by natural resources. Using panel data of 33 provinces from 2012 to 2018, this study implements the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) technique to examine the existence of the natural resource curse and scrutinize the role of financial development in mitigating the curse. Results show that Indonesia potentially experiences a natural resource curse. Nonetheless, the negative effect of natural resources on economic growth could be mitigated by enhancing the role of financial development to reach a certain threshold over economic output. This study recommends policymakers to not only increase financial development across the provinces but also pay more serious attention to other factors causing the natural resource curse in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is motivated by the rise of radicalism issues that are vulnerable to spread among students. This radicalism is dangerous, so efforts are needed to counter it. One strategic effort to ward off radicalism is through the role of education. This can be done through the development of the co-curricular, such as Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Tutorial activities which is developed by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). This study aims to know how the role of the PAI Tutorial in counteracting radical religious understanding on the UPI Campus. This research uses a case study design with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, study documentation, interviews, and triangulation. Data analysis techniques are performed by data reduction, data disply, verification and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the role of the PAI Tutorial in counteracting radical understanding is to educate UPI Muslim students, by instilling an understanding of tolerant Islam. This is done by formulating and organizing policies and actvities to eliminate the entry of radicalism. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh mencuatnya isu radikalisme yang rentan tersebar di kalangan mahasiswa. Paham radikal ini berbahaya, sehingga diperlukan adanya upaya untuk menangkalnya. Salah satu upaya strategis untuk menangkal radikalisme tersebut adalah melalui peran pendidikan. Hal ini bisa dilakukan melalui pengembangan kokurikuler, seperti kegiatan Tutorial Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran Tutorial PAI dalam menangkal paham radikal keagamaan di Kampus UPI. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, disply data, verifikasi dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa peran Tutorial PAI dalam  menangkal paham radikal adalah membina mahasiswa Muslim UPI, dengan menanamkan pemahaman tentang Islam yang toleran. Hal ini dilakukan dengan menyusun dan menyelenggarakan kebijakan dan kegiatan untuk menghilangkan celah masuknya paham radikal.
