Abstract

Buah salam (Syzygium polyanthum) memiliki manfaat sebagai obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak metanol buah Syzygium polyanthum terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherchia coli. Ekstraksi dilakukandengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan adalah 40%, 60%, dan 80%, dengan tetracycline sebagai kontrol positif dan aquades sebagai kontrol negatif. Aktivitas antibakteri diuji dengan menggunakan metode one way anova, dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD (least signifiance diffrent). Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak buah Syzygium polyanthum berpengaruh signifian dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherchia coli(p 0,05). Konsentrasi 80% memiliki aktivitas paling tinggi dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherchia coli, yang tidak berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi 60% dan kontrol positif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak metanol buah Syzygium polyanthum memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Escherchia coli

Abstract

The objective of this research describes the method of lecturers to teach problem-solving skills. Problem-solving skills is one of the skills needed in the 21st-century learning. Generally, Islamic boarding schools tend to use classic methods such as recitation, Bandongan, Sorogan. The study is survey research. It is a case study at the Islamic boarding school of Jagad ‘Alimussirry in the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Students live in Islamic boarding schools every day. The data were obtained through questionnaires and observations. Questionnaires were consisting of 12 items with a statement of Rosenberg's self-esteem scale. It’s given to the 46 students and five lecturers after learning. The respondents were randomly chosen. The study also conducted observations at the time of learning in 5 courses. Two observers made the observations. The results showed that the problem-solving skills had been taught with a "good enough" category. The learning method is discussion, exercise, and modeling. It is done with 5 phases of problem-solving. The findings are three methods to teach problem-solving skills in the Islamic boarding school. It is a discussion, exercise, and modeling with five problem-solving phases and six learning schemes. Therefore, this study can be used as consideration for education practitioners on how to teach problem-solving skills in Islamic boarding schools. Indonesia has 28 thousand Islamic boarding schools. In addition, this becomes a frequent correction to repair the learning of problem skills in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to investigate the students’ improvement through POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) learning model. It is a classroom action reesarch. The research was taken under two cycles of four steps (planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting). The data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The result of the research shows that there is a significant improvement upon the students’ science processing skill through POGIL learning model. Key Words: students’ science processing skill, Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning, POGILAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan siswa melalui pembelajaran POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus dari 4 langkah (perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze ‘mahasiswa pencinta alam’ knowledge in utilizing survival plants. The research method was quantitative descriptive, which involved 60 respondents. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. The results showed that 54 % respondents had very low knowledge about plant survival. The respondent lack of knowledge about identification and species of plant survival and in the forest and also difficultto get information sources such as the book of survival guide in order to support their knowledge. It is required to develop a popular scientific guidance book about survival plants.Key Words:Survival Plants, Pencinta Alam, popular scientific guide book Abstrak.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan mahasiswa pencinta alam dalam memanfaatkan tumbuhan survival.Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 54% responden memiliki pengetahuan yang rendah tentang tumbuhan survival.Responden kurang mengetahui tentang identifikasi jenis tumbuhan survival di hutan dan kesulitan mendapatkan sumber informasi seperti buku pegangan dalam mendukung pengetahuan mereka.Diperlukan untuk mengembangkan sebuah buku pegangan ilmiah populer tentang tumbuhan survival.Kata kunci: Tumbuhan Survival, Pencinta Alam, Buku Pegangan Pencinta alam

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to analyze the social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy of class XI students at SMAN 2 Malang. The type of research is mixed, through a quantitative approach to describe environmental literacy, and qualitative, to describe social attitudes. The research population is all students of class XI. The samples in this study were students of class XI science, the independent variables were students of class XI, the dependent variable was social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy. The research instrument is a questionnaire. The analysis technique is that the research data is reduced, verified, and presented. The results showed that the scores were not balanced, the values of social attitudes, communication skills, and environmental literacy were scored 77.25, 75.75, and 75.67.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian menganalisis sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan siswa kelas XI di SMAN 2 Malang. Jenis penelitian yakni campuran, melalui pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menjabarkan literasi lingkungan, dan kualitatif, untuk menjabarkan sikap sosial. Populasi penelitian yakni seluruh siswa kelas XI. Sampel pada penelitian yakni siswa kelas XI IPA, variabel bebas siswa kelas XI, variabel terikat yakni sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan. Instrumen penelitian yakni kuisioner. Teknik analisis yakni data hasil penelitian direduksi, diverifikasi, dan disajikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai belum seimbang, nilai sikap sosial, keterampilan komunikasi, dan literasi lingkungan mendapat nilai yakni 77,25, 75,75, dan 75,67.

Abstract

Abstract: Digital media has the potential to support learning, such as Mobile Learning. The fact show that students currently have not matched their ability to use digital media for the sake of obtaining information. The purpose of this study was to analyze the media learning needs of Plant Structure and Development material. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with observations and surveys. Research instruments in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. This research was conducted from July to September 2019 at the Biology Education Study Program, FMIPA, UM. The research subjects consisted of 33 students and 1 lecturer. The technique of determining the sample using purposive sampling. The results showed that the subject of Plant Structure and Development requires Mobile Learning media.Abstrak: Media digital berpotensi mendukung pembelajaran, seperti Mobile Learning. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa saat ini belum mengimbangi kemampuannya menggunakan media digital untuk kepentingan memperoleh informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran materi Struktur dan Perkembangan Tumbuhan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan observasi dan survei. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Juli sampai September 2019 pada Prodi Sarjana Pendidikan Biologi, FMIPA, UM. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 33 mahasiswa dan 1 dosen. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Struktur dan Perkembangan Tumbuhan membutuhkan media Mobile Learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research is to develop audiovisual media based on examples non-examples cooperative which is valid and practical. This type of research and development uses the Lee and Owens development model. The test subjects were students of XI MIPA SMAN 2 Malang. The research instrument includes a validation questionnaire of material experts, media experts, Biology education practitioners and student responses. The percentage of material expert validation results is 100%, media experts are 97%, Biology education practitioners are 100%. The percentage of individual trials is 84%, small group is 89%, field is 93%. It was concluded that adiwiyata audiovisual media based on examples non-examples cooperative was valid and practical and could be used as a learning media for adiwiyata.Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengembangkan media audiovisual berbasis examples non examples cooperative yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Lee and Owens. Subjek uji coba adalah siswa XI MIPA SMAN 2 Malang. Instrumen penelitian meliputi angket validasi ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi pendidikan Biologi serta angket respon siswa. Presentase hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 100%, ahli media sebesar 97%, praktisi pendidikan Biologi sebesar 100%. Hasil presentase uji coba perseorangan sebesar 84%, kelompok kecil sebesar 89%, lapangan sebesar 93%. Disimpulkan bahwa media audiovisual adiwiyata berbasis examples non examples cooperative valid dan praktis dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran adiwiyata.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to reveal the effects of using the wildlife monograph Varanus salvator on the conceptual understanding of urban students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental, one-group pre-test, and post-test design. The sample of this study was students at private universities in the Jember Regency, Indonesia who took the Vertebrate Zoology course in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year with total of 27 students. This research was conducted because of the findings from previous research that in private universities, books from the research results are still needed, especially those that discuss examples of wildlife species as a learning resource for Vertebrate Zoology course, especially in the reptile class. The research data were analysed using the class average normalized Gain score (N-gain score). The analysis results showed that the N-gain score was an average class of 0.71, which means that it was greater than the N-gain score of 0.7, in other words, g> 0.7. This means that the effect of using the wildlife monograph book V. salvatory on learning the Vertebrate Zoology Course is at high stage criteria. In addition, it was also informed that the results of the normalized average individual gain analysis (individual N-gain score), it was found that g> 0.7 was 11 students with high criteria, 0.3> g ≥ 0.7, a total of 16 students with medium criteria, and no students found g ≤ 0.3. This informs that the V. salvatory monograph can realize the conceptual understanding of the topic of lizards in urban students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh penggunaan monografi satwa liar Varanus salvator terhadap pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa perkotaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu, one-group pre-test, dan post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Kabupaten Jember Indonesia yang mengambil mata kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan jumlah 27 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya temuan dari penelitian sebelumnya bahwa di perguruan tinggi swasta masih diperlukan buku-buku hasil penelitian terutama yang membahas tentang contoh jenis satwa liar sebagai sumber belajar mata kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata khususnya pada kelas reptil. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan rata-rata kelas Gain score ternormalisasi (N-gain score). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai N-gain merupakan rata-rata kelas sebesar 0,71, yang berarti lebih besar dari nilai N-gain sebesar 0,7 dengan kata lain g > 0,7. Artinya pengaruh penggunaan buku monografi satwa liar V. salvator terhadap pembelajaran mata kuliah Zoologi Vertebrata berada pada kriteria tingkat tinggi. Selain itu diinformasikan juga bahwa hasil analisis gain rata-rata individu ternormalisasi (individual N-gain score), didapatkan bahwa g>0,7 sebanyak 11 siswa dengan kriteria tinggi, 0,3>g 0,7, total 16 siswa dengan kriteria sedang, dan tidak ditemukan siswa yang g 0,3. Hal ini menginformasikan bahwa monografi V. salvator dapat mewujudkan pemahaman konseptual topik kadal pada mahasiswa perkotaan.

Abstract

Abstract: Textbooks are one of the printed materials, arranged efficiently and effectively to support condusive learning in a particular subject. The aim of this research & development’s to produce the effective, valid and practical ecology textbooks based on Problem Based Learning. This textbook for ecology subject, refers to the ADDIE development model. The validation results from the three experts showed very positive results, from the subject expert obtained score are 98,33 (very valid); 100 (very valid) score of subject practitioner; score of 98,75 (very valid) from media expert. Based on the result, this product’s very propered and can be used in the ecology learning process in higher education.Abstrak: Buku ajar ialah salah satu bahan ajar yang berbentuk cetak, disusun secara efisien dan efektif untuk menunjang suatu materi pembelajaran pada matakuliah tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini ialah menghasilkan buku ajar ekologi berbasis Problem Based Learning yang efektif, valid, dan praktis. Buku ajar untuk matakuliah Ekologi ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil validasi dari ketiga ahli menunjukkan hasil sangat positif, dari ahli materi memperoleh skor sebesar 98,33 (sangat valid); perolehan skor validasi dari praktisi lapangan sebesar 100 (sangat valid); dari validator ahli media sebesar 98,75 (sangat valid). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kesimpulannya bahwa buku ajar ekologi berbasis Problem Based Learning ini sangat layak dan dapat digunakan dalam KBM ekologi pada jenjang perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim about this research and development is produced teaching materials for natural resource management courses based on the results of research on the spread alien species that named Acacia nilotica in Baluran National Park. Development using the ADDIE model. The data obtained from the results of the study included field research, validation sheets from material experts, media and teaching materials, field practitioners and student responses. The scores obtained from the results of the material expert validation were 95,58% and media experts were 90,52%. The scores obtained from field practitioners are 89.58% while the student response to the practicality of teaching materials reaches 93,10%. Score > 85,00% means the teaching material in very valid and practical category, it mean that teaching materials can support the learning process.Abstrak: Penelitian dan pengembangan bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar  matakuliah pengelolaan sumberdaya alam berdasarkan hasil penelitian persebaran spesies asing yang bersifat invasif yaitu Acacia Nilotica di Taman Nasional Baluran. Pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE. Data yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian, meliputi penelitian lapangan, lembar validasi dari ahli materi, media dan bahan ajar, praktisi lapangan, dan respons mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Perolehan skor dari validator ahli materi adalah 95,58% dan validator ahli media adalah 90,52%. Skor yang diperoleh dari praktisi lapangan adalah 89,58%, sedangkan respons mahasiswa terhadap kepraktisan bahan ajar mencapai 93,10%. Skor >85,00% berarti bahan ajar memiliki kategori sangat valid dan praktis untuk dipakai dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar.
