Abstract

Rolling motion is important role in the stability of the ship. Predicting the motion of a ship design must be done to see the design performance. The magnitude of the resulting motion response will affect the comfort and safety of personnel and materials in the ship. For this reason, simulation and analysis rolling and pitching prediction are carried out when the ship is operating, with and without the addition of a free surface tank (FST) as a stabilizer system with variations in the FST base height, water volume, boat velocity, heading direction and the waves. The prediction of ship motion in this research is ushing shipmo software and to assess operational feasibility, the general criteria standard issued by NATO STAGNAG 4154 (US. Navy) and US Coast Guard. From the simulation results it was found that increasing the height of the FST base from the base line decreases rolling motion. At a height of 4 m the maximum response magnitude below the allowable standard is 3,365 deg, while at a height of 3 m above the allowable standard that is 4,734 deg. The addition of FST and variations in placement of the FST base height from the base line did not significantly affect the pitching motion of the ship. Heading direction, waves and operational speed of the ship need to be considered to get the minimum rolling motion response when the ship is operating. Abstract

Hasan Basri-382 Indonesian warhip (KRI) use MTU 16 V 4000 M 90 diesel engine with common rail technologythat uses a High Pressure Fuel Pump. The pump has a vital function because it provides fuel up to a pressureof 1400 bars on the common rail. The problem is that there is pump compilation or damage (leakage), then thefuel pressure at the High Pressure Pump input drops and risks the output pressure of the fuel High PressurePump towards the common rail, where the pressure drops dramatically, so that the fuel pressure is below 4 baror fuel pressure inside the common rail below 700 bar Engine Control Unit (ECU) accepts the engine to stop theengine. The price of the pump is too expensive. In addition, this pump cannot be repaired or in other words itmust be replaced by the new one. Based on the pump for life, it must be replaced every 4500 hours or in onceW5 maintenanc period. But this lifetime schedule has never been approved. Therefore, it is expected to causedamage to the pump so prevention efforts can be made. In addition, the author has also used the SWOTmethod to find the best strategy in finding solutions to the problems of this High Pressure Pump. And of course, these strategies are used for advice at the end of this settlement. Keywords: Common Rail, Damage, High Pressure Pump, Parchim Class, and SWOT Method

Abstract

The energy crisis has required the government to develop and utilize a renewable energy. Indonesia has a national jurisdiction area of ± 7.8 million km² with 2/3 of its territory being the sea of ± 5.9 million km². With this large sea area, it is a great potential for Indonesia to be able to develop alternative energy resources in the maritime sector amid the problem of fossil energy resources whose capacity is decreasing. Alternative energy in the maritime sector that can be developed include energy that utilizes ocean waves, ocean currents, tides, and ocean temperature differences. This study aims to determine the alternative energy of the maritime sector by reviewing from technical and financial aspects, political, economic, social and technological aspects. The method used is technical analysis, financial analysis, PEST analysis, and Fuzzy MCDM. The first step in this process is the mapping of the technical, financial, political, economic, social and technological aspects of each energy alternative with technical, financial and PEST analysis. Furthermore, with the Fuzzy MCDM method an alternative energy development selection model was made by assessing the performance of each. Based on the results of data processing shows the ranking of determining the alternative energy of the maritime sector with the first is the source of ocean current energy, the second is tidal energy, the third is wave energy and the last is Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). Abstract

A project of base facility is a kind of routine developing in Indonesian Naval. In this developmentt is necessary to develop methods in measuring performance and evaluating project time through a more accurate critical path feature. The research problem statement is how to evaluate the project schedule related to the time and cost of the Indonesian Navy's facility construction project by conducting a case study as a study for project scheduling at a later stage. The research objective is to identify the critical path of the project through network analysis, determine the factors that cause delays and how to overcome them, and calculate the time effectiveness and cost-efficiency of the project based on the calculation of scheduling acceleration. In this study, project performance measurement was carried out using the Earned Value Method (EVM) and network analysis using the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM). The solution to overcome delays with the crashing project method. The results of the discussion identified 15 critical path activities. The factor causing the delay is the delay in activities on the critical path due to the low level of productivity of the workforce group. The crashing method through additional 2 hours/day overtime can solve the problem of delays so that project implementation can be accelerated from the implementation of 256 working days to 226 working days (11.72% effectiveness) with the initial project cost of Rp. 74,316,727,585.00 reduced to Rp. 72,152,162,704.00 (2.91% efficiency). It will be measurable and reasonable in responsibility when it was suitable with the target. Keywords : Network Analysis, Naval Base, and Project Development.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The current development of construction projects lead to construction projects being more complex and complicated. The success or failure of a project can be due to inadequate planning and less effective controls, resulting in inefficient projects. This will result in delays, lower quality, and increased implementation costs. All of those problems are expected to be overcome with Presedence diagram method by reducing the impact of delay and swelling of project cost by crashing with applied overtime. Acceleration of duration on the critical path jobs was performed. The results with PDM indicated that the optimal duration of project was 100 days with efficiency time for 20 days or equal to 16,67% and the total cost of Rp 13,060,754,232.00 with cost efficiency equal to Rp 528,158,094.00 or 3,88%. Abstract

Most warships, especially corvette types, have a service life of more than twenty years. Intuitively it can be concluded that the components and equipment that have been installed are in the period of wear from the bathtub curve. This paper presents an alternative method in determining the optimum component maintenance intervals for weapons system equipment on ships that have entered wear (wear out). Optimum maintenance costs are determined by optimizing the component maintenance interval with objective functions to minimize the total cost of increasing reliability. The reliability of the system is achieved by increasing the reliability index of its constituent components. Weibull ++ is used to obtain parameters that are appropriate for each damage distribution, while Excel Solvers are used to calculating optimal maintenance intervals. In this writing, a case study will be carried out on the components of Bofors cannon laying gear TAK 120MM / 46A
