Abstract

This article presents a critical analysis of the central government's political intervention in the administration of educational autonomy in Indonesia. In reference to developed countries, education is a fundamental commodity and a top priority for developing national potential in global competition. In democratic countries, it is imperative to manage the government and its related elements using a democratic system. In the context of education in Indonesia, as a democratic country, educational institutions should ideally have ample space to determine their direction in accordance with the needs and demands of the times within the framework of national educational goals. Therefore, the expectation is that the education system should be developed in a decentralized (autonomous) manner rather than centralized. However, in reality, the national education system law has become a political tool for the government to set centralized policies without considering regional situations and conditions. In this issue, the central government seems to enforce the implementation of all educational policy products, particularly in the curriculum sector. The findings of this study indicate that the national education curriculum has undergone 11 changes from 1947, 1952, 1964, 1968, 1975, 1984, 1994, 2004, 2006, 2013, and 2022 based on the central government's political policies. These curriculum changes have both positive and negative impacts on the improvement of education quality. The positive impact is that students acquire current knowledge in line with contemporary demands, while the negative impact is that teachers are confused in responding to these changes, which in turn lowers student achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data sources for this research are the Basic Education Council, the Principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, the Deputy Principal for curriculum and student affairs, the head of administration and teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the Miles and Huberman model. Techniques for guaranteeing data validity by means of data triangulation and confirmability. There are four findings in this research, namely: (1) Planning for the development of teaching staff is carried out on three bases, namely: the school's vision and mission, reports on supervision results and the increasingly developing conditions of the times. (2) Organizing the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan is a functional organization, carried out by detailing all tasks, work that must be carried out and carried out by each personnel in the school organization in terms of achieving goals. (3) Implementation of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammdiyah 2 Medan using two programs, namely On The Job Training and Off The Job Training. (4) Supervision of the development of teaching staff at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Medan is internal supervision. Internal supervision is supervision carried out by the highest leadership within the organization itself.

Abstract

One of the modes that takes the most victims, especially women, is love scams. This mode is to find a mate in cyberspace. People who don't have a soul mate or who are lonely try to find a partner through the internet. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of interpersonal communication mode love scams on social media in UIN North Sumatra students. This research covers various issues such as the formulation of the problem, namely, how the mode of love scams on social media among female students can occur. To answer these problems thoroughly and deeply. The research method used is qualitative content analysis using Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) Models consisting of impersonal, interpersonal and hyperpersonal. The study concluded that all three patterns are established in love scam cases. Analysis of this study will be conducted interviews with several sources and observations which will then be verified so that the research is relevant. The results of this study show that often interpersonal communication carried out via social media can create self-disclosure (self-disclosure) which creates high trust between one party which can lead to the occurrence of love scammers. Research contributions based on technological developments that continue to grow and become more sophisticated will also bring greater dangers, one of which is cyber crime, although the number of cases of cybercrime victims is very high, but only a few people dare to report. This is due to the lack of a supervisory system and law in our country, therefore users are required to be good at maintaining personal privacy to avoid crime on social media.

Abstract

Character education develops the ability to determine good and bad and apply the goodness in life. This study aims to determine the role of Islamic boarding schools in shaping character values in students. This research uses a qualitative method, type of case study single case design. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and concluding. Data validity was obtained through the data source triangulation method. The results of this study show that: (1) planning to instill character values according to the foundation of Presidential Regulation No.87 of 2017 with 18 values of character building and national culture (2) implementation by integrating values into the boarding school curriculum is carried out through 3 aspects, namely: through teaching and learning activities, extracurricular activities, and religious activities of santri (2) The implementation of character education in modern Pesantren Taajussalaam these character values include: religious character, discipline, independence, social care, environmental care, tolerance, love of reading, curiosity, communicative / friendly, and responsibility, (3) in the evaluation there are 10 values embedded in the students' personalities (4) the inhibiting factor is the students themselves. The implication of this research is that it has an impact on increasing the personality of students to be better and have Islamic morals, and also on increasing the achievement of students which can be seen from the achievements they achieve.

Abstract

Historical awareness is one of the historical thinking skills that students must have. Historical awareness is related to the identity of a nation related to the past. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive E-Poster media in increasing students' historical awareness. This research uses the Pretest-Posttest Control Group experimental method, consisting of an experimental and control group. The sample consisted of 50 class XII high school students selected using a random sampling technique. The data instruments used are the results of pretests and posttests carried out by students. This research indicates a significant difference in students' historical awareness before and after using the E-Poster learning media. The T-test results show a significance value of 0.000, less than 0.005, with the conclusion that the use of interactive e-posters has an influence on students' historical awareness. This increase can be seen in the N-Gain test results, which show a score of 0.75 or 75 percent, assuming an increase in students' historical awareness using e-poster media by 75 percent. This research concludes that using e-poster learning media is effective in history learning, especially in increasing students' historical awareness

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis konsep pendidikan ibadah dalam al Qur’an, serta mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai pendidikan ibadah sehingga dari kajian ini dapat menjadi konsep dalam mengembangkan konsep-konsep pendidikan Islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research), Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah dengan menuliskan ayat 19 sampai dengan 35, yang terdapat dalam surat al Ma’arij, menerjemahkan ayat baik secara kata maupun perkalimat, menjelaskan jenis-jenis ibadah yang termaktub dalam ayat tersebut, mengumpulkan tema-tema yang sama serta menganalisis melalui tafsit al Azhar buya Hamka dengan ayat-ayat yang berkenaan tentang pendidikan ibadah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan ibadah yang terdapat dalam surat al Ma’arij ayat 19-35 perspektif tafsir al azhar adalah; Pertama ibadah shalat. Shalat yang ditetapkan pada dirinya Kedua ibadah Zakat dan Shadaqah. adalah  menyediakan  sebagian  dari pada harta untuk membantu orang-orang yang patut dibantu bernama zakat. Baik zakat kekayaan, atau zakat pertanian, atau zakat peternakan. Ketiga Aqidah. Yaitu orang-orang yang percaya sungguh dia bahwasanya dibelakang hidup kita yang sekarang ini, ada lagi hidup sesudah mati.

Abstract

The emergence of social media has had a significant impact on the way people communicate. This applies not only to individuals but also to government organizations. Most local governments in Indonesia have yet to harness the presence of social media as a means of communication. The objective of this research is to identify the use of social media as a communication medium in the dissemination of information and the barriers to information dissemination from the Office of Communication and Information Services (Kominfo) in the city of Medan. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive method. Interviews, observations, or in-depth documentation are used as data collection approaches. The snowball sampling method is employed to identify informants. Data triangulation is used to examine the accuracy of the data, with the hope of reducing potential inaccuracies. The main components of the interactive data analysis approach used in this study are data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The output of this study is the utilization of social media by the Office of Communication and Information Services (Kominfo) in the city of Medan as a communication tool.

Abstract

Implementing This research aims to analyze the program, implementation of the Al-Quran Tilawatil Development Institute (LPTQ), the role of the madrasa head, deputy madrasa head, supervisors, trainers and teachers in LPTQ extracurricular activities as well as analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Development Institute's extracurricular activities (LPTQ). The method used in this research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive/analytic type. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that; 1) The extracurricular activities program of the Tilawatil Quran Development Institute which was developed at the Private Madrasah Aliyah Muallimin UNIVA Medan which consists of 4 branches, namely syarhil Quran, fahmil Quran, tilawatil Quran and khattil quran includes planning, implementation and evaluation of extracurricular activities. 2) The extracurricular activities of the Al-Quran Tilawatil Development Institute at the Muallimin Private Madrasah Aliyah UNIVA Medan are carried out once a week and last for two hours. 3) The role of the madrasa head, deputy madrasa head, supervisors, trainers and teachers in the extracurricular activities of the Tilawatil Quran Development Institute in improving student achievement at the UNIVA Medan Muallimin Private Madrasah Aliyah is to provide motivation, direct supervision and evaluation of existing extracurricular activities. 4) Supporting factors in the extracurricular activities of the Tilawatil Quran Development Institute at the Private Madrasah Aliyah Muallimin UNIVA Medan are human resources which include the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madarsah, supervisors, trainers and teachers, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the interests and talents of each student. The inhibiting factors in the extracurricular activities of the Tilawatil Quran Development Institute at the Muallimin Private Madrasah Aliyah UNIVA Medan are the time factor and the curriculum factor in the madrasah.

Abstract

This research examines the Panipahan community's perception of the figure of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id Bin Isma'un in Panipahan City, Riau, during the period 1965-2002. The background of this research is the important role of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id in the religious and social life of the Panipahan community. The main question asked is how the Panipahan community perceived the contribution and influence of Mr. Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id during this period. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the Panipahan community had a very positive view of Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id, recognizing his contribution in religious education, moral development, and social conflict resolution. The conclusion of this study is that Tuan Sheikh Haji Muhammad Sa'id is recognized as an influential and respected figure, who has made a significant impact on social and religious development in Panipahan, Riau. The findings strengthen the argument that religious figures have an important role in shaping social and cultural dynamics in local communities.

Abstract

A teacher must also be clever in choosing communication in approaching students (in terms of learning and counseling). In this case, of course interpersonal communication is best used in carrying out this communication. With persuasive and effective interpersonal communication between teachers and students, it is hoped that it will help motivate, mobilize and encourage students to be more active in studying, and can help change a student's behavior, attitude and good thinking patterns. This research method uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive approach. This research shows that the existence and implementation of face-to-face communication (interpersonal communication) without realizing it will establish good relationships between teachers and students without erasing respect and feelings of respect for the teacher. Students become brave enough to speak up when they have difficulties either regarding their studies or personally, and teachers become able to accept any student complaints regarding lessons and any difficulties they experience.
