Abstract

Problem solving is an important part of learning mathematics, but the problem solving ability of students in Indonesia is still low. This study develops problem solving tasks in an Islamic context for junior high school students. Practicality was obtained through test questions on one-to-one and small groups of 22 (twenty two) students from several cities in Indonesia as well as analysis of student work results, questionnaires and interviews. The results of data analysis indicate that practicality Islamic context problem tasks have been obtained and have high validity and reliability so that the questions are feasible to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui tes dan non tes. Data non tes terdiri dari wawancara dan dokumentasi yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konfirmasi jawaban siswa pada soal tes yang diberikan. Sumber utama data pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. Sebanyak dua puluh enam siswa dari kelas VIII.B terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIII.B tidak dapat memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan baik sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII.B masih rendah.

Abstract

Abstrak                                                                                        Anak tunarungu mengalami keterbatasan dalam berbahasa dan komunikasi, sehingga guru disekolah luar biasa dituntut mempunyai strategi dalam menyampaikan materi matematika agar mereka dapat memahami materi dengan baik. Penggunaan media pembelajaran bagi anak tunarungu dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada anak tunarungu agar konsep-konsep dan ide matematika yang bersifat abstrak dapat dikaji, dipahami, dan dicapai oleh penalaran anak. Untuk itu penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kepraktisan media pembelajaran puzzle bangun datar segi empat pokok bahasan jajargenjang untuk anak tunarungu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan, menggunakan alur formative evaluation ditinjau dari tahap one-to-one dan small group. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelas VIII SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang yang berjumlah 7 anak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket, wawancara, observasi dan soal posstest . Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa:menghasilkan media pembelajaran puzzle bangun datar segi empat pokok bahasan jajargenjang yang praktis, kepraktisan media ini dilihat dari komentar dan saran anak pada tahap one-to-one dan small group.Kata Kunci: Anak tunarungu,  media pembelajaran puzzle, pengembangan

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the students’ scientific writing skills of mathematics education. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Research subject is choosen by using purposive sampling technique. Research subject is choosen based on variety of batch, grade point average (GPA) dan Thesis Processing Duration (TPD). Data collection techniques in this research are document studies (documentation methods) and interviews. The document study was carried out by 2 researchers (chairman and researcher members) and 2 other lecturers of Mathematics Education Study Program to obtain data about writing scientific work for research subjects. The interview was conducted after the results of the first data analysis were obtained as confirmation media and deeper exploration of the profile of the research subjects. This study provides an overview of the carrying capacity of the GPA characteristics, the value of Indonesian Language, the value of Research Methods, and TPD. The four characteristics do not significantly support the students’ cientific writing skills of the mathematics education study program.

Abstract

Abstrak : Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan validasi LKPD dengan model generative learning pada materi trigonometri. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan tahap expert review yang ada pada alur formative evaluation. Peserta didik di kelas XI MA Al-Fatah Kota Palembang berjumlah 15 orang merupakan subjek penelitian ini. Berdasarkan tinjauan di tahap expert review, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid oleh validator secara kualitatif, baik dari segi konten, konstruk dan bahasa.Valid dari segi konten, yaitu isi dari LKPD telah sesuai dengan kurikulum, kesesuaian dengan tahap-tahap Generative Learning, soal yang tersedia menggunakan konteks yang mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik, dan materi yang ada pada LKPD sesuai. Valid dari segi konstruk, yaitu pada LKPD, desain dan warna tidak berlebihan. Valid dari segi bahasa, yaitu valid darisegi kualitas teknis yang meliputi kualitas narasi atau penulisan atau bahasa yang digunakan pada LKPD baik, yaitu dengan menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, kalimat mudah dipahami dan tidak bermakna ganda, serta konsistensi huruf yang digunakan. Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, LKPD, Trigonometri, Generative Learning, Expert Review

Abstract

This study aims to find out the mistakes made by students in solving the PISA model questions based on the Newman procedure. This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects consisted of 15 of ninth grade students SMP Karya Ibu Palembang. Data was collected by tests and interviews. The validity of the data was tested by using triangulation technique. The data were analyzed with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are errors made by ninth grade students in solving the PISA model questions. These errors include misunderstanding the problem, problem transformation error, process skill error and writing answer error. Therefore, to minimize the occurrence of errors, it is recommended that students understand the formula by being understood not memorized, learning is more related to everyday life to make it easier to understand and remember, and increase practice questions.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a worksheet with the PMRI approach on algebraic multiplication operations material using the context of covid 19 which is valid, practical, and effective.  This type of research is research and development from Tessmer which focuses on two stages, namely the preliminary stage and the formative evaluation stage which consists of the expert review, one-to-one evaluation, small group, and field test stages.  The subjects of this research were class VII students of SMP Negeri 35 Palembang.  Data collection techniques used are interviews, questionnaires and tests.  From the results of the study, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) The validity of Student Worksheets can be shown bythe validation results with the validators at the expert review stage with an average score result of 3,65 by three validators.  (2) The practicality of Student Worksheets can be shown by the results of the student questionnaire at the one-to-one evaluation stage with an average practicality level of 3.56, the small group stage with an average practicality level of 3.47, and the field test stage with an average  practicality level of 3.58.  (3) The effectiveness of student worksheets can be shown by student learning outcomes in the form of post tests in the small group stage with an average level of effectiveness of 79.33 and also in the field test stage with an average level of effectiveness of 86.93.

Abstract

This study aims to see the management of PQ4R learning in improving students' mathematical understanding. This research is an experimental study. The population in this study was grade VIII MTs Negeri 2 Way Kanan students, the sample in this study was taken by random class technique, by lottery which aimed to take samples that had the same ability so that 37 students of grade VIII A were obtained as an experimental class using the PQ4R strategy and class VIII B totaling 39 students as a control class using expository strategies. After learning in the experimental class and control class for five meetings, continued with data collection. In the data collection process, the author uses tests, documentation and data analysis consisting of pretest and posttest. The research method used to see the magnitude of the influence, data analysis is calculated using the normalized gain formula (N-Gain) then to see the magnitude of the influence a t-test is carried out. The results showed that the average N-Gain obtained by the experimental class was 0.61 while the average gain of the control class was 0.54. Based on the results of analysis and data processing using the t-test, tcount =  2.633 > ttable = 1.992, with a significant level of 5%. Since t counts > ttable then Ho is rejected. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the PQ4R strategy has a significant influence in improving the mathematical understanding of grade VIII MTs Negeri 2 Way Kanan students

Abstract

This study aims to obtain STEM-based LKPD for the EDP learning model developed for Geometry Transformation material, to determine the feasibility of LKPD, to find out students' responses to LKPD, and to find out the potential effect on students' creative thinking after using the LKPD. The subjects of this study were 3 teachers as material experts, 2 lecturers and 1 design expert teacher, as well as 25 class XI students of SMA IBA Palembang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The level of feasibility is seen from the results of the assessment of material experts and design experts. Meanwhile, students' responses were seen from the results of the questionnaire after using the STEM-based LKPD that had been developed. This study uses the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation). Based on the results of the experts' assessment, it was obtained STEM-based LKPD that was feasible to apply to the Geometry Transformation subject. Student responses were obtained by 86,6% in the practical category. As for students' creative thinking skills, it was obtained that 84% of students completed the creative thinking test. The conclusion obtained from this study is that STEM-based LKPD on Geometry Transformation material is very suitable for use as teaching material. Deaf children experience limitations in language and communication, so teachers in special schools are required to have a strategy in conveying mathematics material so that they can understand the material well. The use of learning media for deaf children can have an influence on children with hearing impairment so that abstract mathematical concepts and ideas can be studied, understood, and achieved by children's reasoning. This study aimed to explain the practicality of learning media fora flat rectangular puzzle. The research method used was development using a formative evaluation flow in terms of one-to-one and small group stages. The subjects in this study were 7 children in grade VIII SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang. The instruments used were questionnaires, interviews, observation and posttest questions. From the results of the study, it was concluded that: producing learning media for a practical quadrilateral puzzle on the subject of practical jargar, the practicality of this media was seen from the comments and suggestions of children in the one-to-one and small group stages.
