Abstract

This research is motivated by the attitude of Muslim ambiguity in facing modernity which its existence is necessity and can not be rejected in any way. The product of modernity has roiled throughout the joints and pulse of human life without any rebellion. Because he is present with a friendly and pragmatic smile, so able to lull and make forget the impacts. The author formulates this research on the concept of modern education Mahmud Yunus and its relevance to modern education now and how its contribution to modern educational institutions in Indonesia. This study aims to get a picture of modern educational thinking Mahmud Yunus and its relevance to the birth of modern educational institutions in Indonesia. This research is library research, where the data obtained through primary data sources and secondary data, either through the source books of Mahmud Yunus figures directly or from reading materials and internet searching and interviews that the author describes by arranging them according to the theme and issues, especially issues related to the modernization of Islamic education in Indonesia. The concept of modern education Mahmud Yunus is a radical renewal of the education system by taking into account the needs and demands of society, without destroying the existing order. So the offer of modernization of education Mahmud Yunus, in the application of its implementation does not get opposition from anyone, both internal and ekster-nal. While his contribution to the birth of modern educational institutions in Indonesia; In the first place, institutional modernization, Mahmud Yunus is among those who pioneered the need to change the teaching system from the individual ones as applied in the pesantren using the sorogan or weton method. Secondly, the modernization in curriculum where Mahmud Yunus was the first to pioneer the existence of an integrated curriculum, a curriculum combining religious knowledge and general science in Islamic educational institutions, especially in developing Arabic teaching. Third, modernization in the field of learning, Mahmud Yunus is recognized by educational experts as a way hacker for the birth of new methods of Islamic education in Indonesia and he made a new teaching method that he introduced with the name al-thariqah al-mubasyarah (direct methode) that teaches various components science of Arabic. From the thought of Mahmud Yunus is found a new concept, namely; "ICT-based Modern Madrasahs" from the elaboration of the modernization concept both from the institutional side, the curriculum, the method of learning and producing a reliable educator in the hope of becoming a new paradigm for the world of Islamic education in the world and Indonesia in particular.Keywords: modern education, islamic education institution, integrated curriculum

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is: First, determine the application of the model core curriculum in faith at Al - Fatah SDIT Bekasi. Second, knowing Implementation of faith as the core curriculum. Third, knowing the curriculum evaluation form cored faith. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In the form of a research procedure that generates the data in the form of speech or descriptive writing and the observable behavior of people (subjects) themselves. A qualitative approach is used to reveal the descriptive data about what they do, and they feel natural to the formulation of the problem. Therefore, researchers are trying to record the activity that occurs at the site and observe the condition of the school as well as to collect data from both direct and indirect sources. The validity of the data examined using an extension of participation, persistence observation, triangulation, negative case analysis, checks member/peer discussions, member checking, and use references adequacy. Based on the purpose of the study, the results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, faith as the core curriculum in elementary school Isam Al - Fatah Bekasi is a model that integrates the values of faith into the curriculum since the structure of the curriculum as an idea, as a curriculum document, until the implementation of the curriculum. The process of integrating is to integrate faith into the subjects of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Technology Knowledge Base; integrate faith into subjects Indonesian, English, Social Science and Citizenshipand integrate faith into the lessons of Physical Education, Sport and Health. Second, the steps to implement integrative curriculum are train teacher, the creation of a religious atmosphere, the value of integrating faith into general subjects, and applying problem-based learning approach. Integrating faith values into general subjects in 2 ways: (1) through a basic search and matching concepts, theory of knowledge is sought from the Al-Qur'an and Hadith of the Prophet and the opinion of the scholars; (2) take or learn concepts and theories of general subjects and then combined with the subjects of Islamic Education.Keywords: Keimanan, kurikulum, sekolah dasar

Abstract

The Quranic Education is a part of a national of education for the better of generation of Indonesian in the global era, they are should ready be generation of Indonesian development. This education has been contact with various changes in the terms of the development of science and technology, ctr. has changes in society increasingly secular, hedonistic and consumeristic and human be a-social and a-morals. These changes should already be predicted by quranic education in order to anticipate the implementation of education. In addition, addressing the issue of quranic education to form a qualified humans that can bring progress in human life. The guidance in terms of quranic education as holy books doctrines comprehensively encourage Muslim to present in the human quality. Quranic education today will face competation era between a country's trade policies. These institutions must adapt in order to prepare the students have bases of knowledge and skills and have good character like discipline, responsibility and so on and students have souls entreprenership for enhance in the following levels and competens in they worlds and made development of nation and deal with its institutions new visions, curriculum and with the best methodological of education.

Abstract

Implementation of early childhood education (ECD) in Indonesia, especially under the auspices of Islamic educational institutions are still very limited and have not been able to cater to the educational needs of early children across Indonesia. In addition, an increase in the quantity of early childhood institutions, has not been accompanied by an increase in quality. For that, we need innovative learning model in early childhood institutions. This research focuses on the implementation of thematic learning model on Islamic Education in Raudhatulathfal Al-Jihad, which covers all aspects of planning (program), execution (process), evaluation of thematic learning, and its impact on the quality of Islamic education. The research method used was eksperimental research. In addition to testing, the researcher also collected qualitative data through observation and interviews. The study is located in the Kelurahan Kalibaru RT.02 RW.02 Kecamatan Cilodong, Depok, West Java. Formally, the tryout of study was conducted from January to July 2012. Based on the research conducted, through validation readability level, student responses and learning outcomes, the thematic learning model on Islamic education deserves to be applied to early childhood education in Raudhatulathfal Al-Jihad and also applied to other institutions those are similar. In the pre-test results, two different groups obtained about average 7.737 for the experimental group; and 7.789 for the controlled group. Once the thematic learning model on Islamic education applied, then the group of students performed post-test, the result is 8.578 for the experimental group; and 7.947 for the controlled group. The impact of the implementation of the model thematic learning on Islamic education in early childhood toward the quality of Islamic education is very significant. This is obvious from the responses of students very well, that is 96.51%, and the learning outcomes achieved 100% completion. Through a thematic learning model on Islamic education in early childhood, the average increase in the quality of education obtained in the experimental group were higher (0.841) than the controlled one (0.158). Therefore, it is highly recommended that thematic model of learning to be applied in Islamic educational institutions which organizing early childhood education with specific instructional objectives for learning Islamic Education, which covers three areas; cognitive, affective and psychomotor, so that every student in early childhood education can develop basic competencies, such as morals behavioral/social emotional, Islamic competence and other basic competences as the provision they entered to the next educational level.
