Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan lembar kerja siswa yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan minat belajar matematika siswa. Metode pengembangan menggunakan model pegembangan Borg & Gall yang terdiri atas Research and information collecting; Planning; Develop preliminary form of product; Preliminary field testing; Main product revision; Main field testing; Operational product revision. Produk pengembangan diujicoba pada siswa kelas VII SMP YPK Tomer. Hasil penelitian memuat uraian singkat mengenai masalah dan tujuan penelitian, metode yang digunakan, dan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Problem Solving memenuhi kriteria valid berdasarkan penilaian oleh tiga validator. Sedangkan instrumen penilaian berupa soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan angket minat belajar juga memenuhi kriteria valid. Perangkat diujicobakan pada Siswa Kelas VII B SMP YPK Tomer sebanyak 5 pertemuan. Hasil penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa serta berdasarkan hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria valid. Berdasarkan hasil angket minat belajar matematika diperoleh bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan problem solving pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel efektif meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa kelas VII B SMP YPK Tomer yakni 86,9% siswa memiliki minat belajar matematika pada kategori minimal baik, sedangkan pada aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif diperoleh bahwa perangkat pembelajaran tidak efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yakni hanya 52,17% siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada kategori minimal cukup kreatif

Abstract

This study aims to apply one of the techniques in multivariate statistics namely Factor Analysis to determine the factors that influence the decision of students to choose Mathematics Education Department, Teaching and Education Faculty, Musamus University. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 70 students majoring in mathematics education that consists of force in 2015, 2016 and 2017. To analyze the data used factor analysis method with SPSS 20 and obtained that from 25 variables studied can be reduced to only 7 factor. The factors that are formed are the quality factors of the study program, lecturer professionalism, curriculum relevant to the world of work, advice, costs, personal abilities and prospect factors and job opportunities. Abstract

This research aims to know the characteristic of ideal mathematics teacher according to student of SMA Negeri 1 Merauke. This research is quantitative research. The sampling technique used was stratified proportional random sampling technique and obtained 256 students as sample. Data collection techniques used is the spread of questionnaires, then data from the questionnaire were analyzed using conjoint analysis with full profile method and orthogonal array. The results showed that the characteristics of mathematics teachers desired by students are teachers of male sex, have age between 46-55 years, then have a relaxed but serious teaching style, using unconventional learning method, teacher convey mathematics material accompanied by its application in daily life, then have high spirit of teaching and able to use technology in learning well, interaction between teacher with active student.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the first, the effectiveness of SAVI learning approach in mathematics learning of students of Muhamadiyah Merauke. The second, the effectiveness of contextual approach used in mathematics learning viewed from mathematics learning achievement of students of SMP Muhammadiyah Merauke. And the third, the comparison of effectiveness between SAVI learning approach and contextual method viewed from of learning achievement in mathematics. This research is an experimental research and the design used pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research is grade VIII B students of SMP Muhammadiyah Merauke selected by cluster random sampling technique. The technique of data collection was test and the instrument was learning achievement test. The testing of first and second hypothesis used paired sample of z-test while the third hypothesis testing was done using independent sample of z-test. Based on the analysis of the first hypothesis data, it was obtained, which means thatis rejected and is accepted. This means that the SAVI learning approach is effectively used in learning in terms of students' mathematics learning achievements. Analysis of the second hypothesis data, it was obtained, which means that is rejected and is accepted. This means that the contextual learning approach is effectively used in learning in terms of students' mathematics learning achievements. Then the third hypothesis data, the comparison of mean of posttest data was obtained, which means thatis rejected andis accepted. This means that the SAVI learning approach is more effective than contextual learning approaches in terms of students' mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of gadget usage on student independence learning in Mathematics Education Department of Musamus University. This research is quatitative research. The population in this study was students of Mathematics Education of Musamus University amounted to 210 students. Sampling technique used is convenience non probability sampling technique and obtained 78 students as sample. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire and interview, then the data from the questionnaire were analyzed using simple correlation and linear regression analysis. The result of the research shows that there is influence of gadgets usage on the independence learning of students in Mathematics Education of Musamus University, in which there is a relationship between the "medium" category between gadgets usage and the independence learning of students in Mathematics Education of Musamus University. Contribution given by gadget usage variable to the independence of learning as 27.2%.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive research that aimed to discover the external factors affecting students in doing Mathematics Homework and to discover the most dominant external factors. The sample used in the research represented the entire population of sixty students. Data collecting techniques used is by distributing the questionnaires. The questionnaire contained nine external factors was tested for validity and reliability. Data analyzing technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The result of this research is nine external factors affecting the students of Madrasah Al-Munawwaroh in doing the Mathematics homework they are factor of follow up of the teacher in giving Mathematics homework as 97.5%, factor of giving the value of Mathematics homework as 98.33%, factor of type and nature of Mathematics homework as 81.67%, factor of responsibility and time to do the Mathematics homework as 85%, factor of the Mathematics homework difficulty level as 81.67%, factor of material and resources in doing Mathematics homework as 88.83%, factor of teaching method and Mathematics teacher characteristics as 90%, factor of friend influenced as 85%, and parents support as 72.5%. The dominant external factors are the factor of giving value in Mathematics homework, the factor of follow up of teachers in the giving Mathematics homework, and factor of how to teach and Mathematics teacher characteristic. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop discovery learning student worksheets in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Kurik and to improve the ability to think creatively in mathematics learning for material in Two Variable Linear Equation Systems (SPLDV). The instrument of data collection in this study is a matter of pre-test and post-test, questionnaire, observation and documentation. This type of research uses development research, research design using the model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE), the subject of research is VIIIA grade students of SMP 4 Kurik. The object of the research is student worksheets with the subject matter of two-variable linear equation systems. Development research methods, including research design, research sites, subjects, data sources, data collection techniques, research instruments and data analysis techniques using tabulation data to determine the increase after and before using student worksheets. The results of the study and conclusions obtained the level of mathematical creative thinking of class VIIIA students of SMP N 4 Kurik after being tested on this student worksheet of 92.19% with a level of creative thinking in the aspect of fluency of 90.63%, aspects of flexibility 95.83%, aspects of authenticity of 92 , 71%, and detail aspects 89.58%. This shows that this student worksheet is effectively used in teaching and learning activities. Keywords: Student Worksheets, Discovery Learning, Creative Thinking.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the results of learning math grade VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke on material Composition functions and the inverse of a function through the application of cooperative learning, Jigsaw-type model. Design research is the research action class is done in two cycles with each cycle conducted two meetings. The subject of research as many as 27 students in grades VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. The instruments used in the form of tests and observation sheets. The results in this study is the increased Mastery Learning students at pre cycle of 33.3%, I cycle of 63% and cycle II by 89%. In addition the average value, the activity of teacher and student activity obtained also experienced an increase. Based on the results obtained in overall it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model Jigsaw type can improve the results of learning math grade VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. Abstract

Abstract: This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to increase motivation and interest in learning mathematics in class XI IPS 3 of SMA Negeri 2 Merauke by using a variety of learning media. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class XI IPS 3, 17 male students and 13 female students. The cycleof CAR uses the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and observation. Pre-cycle data shows that students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics are in the low category. The study was conducted in 2 cycles with 4 meeting for each cycles. Based on the results of student observation activities indicate that student activities have increased in learning process of cycle I and cycle II. The average percentage of student learning activity in the first cycle reached 57%, and increased in the second cycle, amount 83%. Increased percentage of student’s learning activity in cycle I and cycle II by 26%. Student learning motivation in the good category experienced an increase from pre-cycle with a percentage of 37.16%, 62.72% in the first cycle, and 90.12% in the second cycle. Student’s interest in the good category also increased from pre-cycle with a percentage of 35.34%, in the first cycle 58.55%, and in the second cycle increased to 93.55%. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that by using a variety of learning media can increase motivation and interest in learning mathematics in class XI IPS 3 of SMA Negeri 2 Merauke. With the motivation and interest in learning students towards mathematics, it is expected that students themselves will be able to more easily understand mathematics and mathematics no longer be a frightening subject for students. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning achievement using auditory, intellectualy, and repetition (AIR) type of cooperative models in Class VII material fractions. This research is a research action class is done in 2 cycles. Each cycle is divided into four parts. They are planning, implementation, observations, and reflection. These research subjects are students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Merauke totaling 32 students. Data collection techniques were used that test, observation and questionnaire responses of students. The research results showed that the average value of students increased at every cycle as well as the classical completeness of the cycle I namely 62,50% and cycle II 90,62% of those results show that an increase in classical from cycle I to cycle II. Student activity increase in cycle I gained 50,00% with a high category and cycle II retrieved 84,38% with category is very high, so it can be concluded that the application of the model of cooperative type auditory, intellectualy, and repetition can improve results of learning mathematics class VII students learn mathematics SMP Negeri 1 Merauke.
